      "body": "There is a lot of debate about the most accurate bible  text these days so I am going to compare the text in the new testament where it quotes the old testament and compare these quotes to the Septuagint and the masoretic text. The masorectic is the Hebrew text that most bibles use for their old testament translation. The septuagint is the greek text that was translated from the Hebrew text in the second century BCE. The hebrew text that the Septuagint was taken from is not the masorectic hebrew text because the masorectic text did not come into existance until about the ninth century CE. \n\n  Here is the first N.T. quote. I will be using the KJV for the new testament and the masoretic comparison. \n\nHebrews 10:5,6 \n   \" Wherefore when he cometh  into the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me.\n In burnt offerings, and sacrifices for sin thou hast no pleasure.\"\n\n  The Masoretic (MT)reference from which Hebrews 10:5,6 quotes\n  Psalm 40:6\n\"Sacrifice and offering  thou didst not desire, mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.\"\n\n Now compare the Septuagint (LXX) reference from which Hebrews 10:5,6 quotes.\n \"Sacrifice and offerings Thou didst not desire, but preparest for me a body; whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin Thou didst not require. \n\n   See how the N.T. matches the Septuagint and not the masoretic text here. Here is another one.\n\n Matthew 12:21 \"And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.\"\n\n Isaiah 42:4 M.T.  The last part.\n  \"and the Iles shall wait for his law.\"\n\nNow the Septuagint\n  \"In his name shall the gentiles trust\"\n\n\n Matthew 15:9 \n\"But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines, the commandments of men\"\n\n   Isaiah 29: 13 the last part.\n \"..but have removed their heart far from me, and their towards me is taught by the precept of man.\"\n\nThe Septuagint\n  \"In vain do they worship me, teaching the commands and the doctrines of man.\"\n\n  Here are some other comparisons to look at to show how the N.T. quotes match the Septuagint.\n Mathew 21 :16 the last part: Psalm 8:2 the first part.\n Matthew 3:3: Isaiah 40:3 \n Romans 2:24: Isaiah 52:5 the last part.\n I Peter 4:18:  Proverbs 11:31\n\n  There are a lot of other quotes in the N.T. the match the Septuagint over the Masoretic text if anyone is interested in seeing more of them then let me know in the comment section. \nOne point I would like to make is that even though the N.T. quotes match the Septuagint I do not nessesarily believe that the N.T. writers were actually quoting the Septuagint they could have been quoting a Hebrew text that simply matched the Septuagint. The dead sea scroll text is good evidence of this.",

      "body": "These days it seems that nearly everybody believes that they need a marriage license to get married.  Black's Law Dictionary 6th ed. gives the following definition \"A license or permission granted by public authority to persons  who intend to intermarry...\".  Intermarry according to the aforementioned dictionary means the mixture of races. So the point is the majority of people in the USA do not need a marriage license or permission of the State to get married. \n\n  Some one might well ask So what is the big deal? Well there are several potential problems with a marriage license one of which is that you are involving  the State in your marriage contract so instead of the almighty joining you together it is the State that is joining you together and may not seem like a big deal either to some however if the State is in charge of the union of the marriage then maybe they are in charge of what issues from the marriage namely children. This can be a problem because of over zealous CPS workers and many of us have heard of and maybe even experienced CPS abuses. However I do not mean to imply that if you never got a marriage license to get married like my wife and I, that CPS will just leave you along. The point is to know your rights and enforce them. If you believe that you need permission from the State to get married then you probably think that CPS has a right to oversee the way you raise you children.",

What I have seen and heard about CPS in the USA is that where there is actual abuse CPS doesn't seem to be that zealous but if they are dealing with home schoolers then they pull out the stops. \n Because of stories like this one I believe that it is important to know your rights before the first conversation with CPS workers. Rights like you do not have to talk with or give them any information without a warrant based probable cause or sworn testimony. And never let them conduct an interview with your child especially without your presence.   There are groups like fightcps.com that be tremendous help with dealing with false cps allegations and it is a good ideal to learn some of this before there is a problem.",

      "body": "In 1 Samuel 8: 4 we can read the story of how ancient Israel asked for a King \"like all the other nations have\".\nThey wanted government like everybody else and Samuel who was himself a Judge over Israel was not happy about this request. Yahweh himself told Samuel \"that is not you that they have rejected but me\" and then he tells Samuel to go ahead the with the King but to warn them the cost of having a king. \n\n  In verses 10 through 18 Samuel tells the people the cost of having a king which included conscription of their young men to serve in his standing army, heavy taxes, conscription of young women to serve in the palace and that the people would be servants to the king. Yahweh even says when this happens that he is not going to listen to their complaints. However in spite of the warning the people wanted a king anyway. \n  \n  Bear in mind that that the warning is not in reference to a bad king but to a good one. Our own Declaration of Independence references what a bad king looks like. The point is that the people of ancient Israel had more rights and freedom under the system of government they had with leaders, we now refer to as judges, and the high priest. However  having government like the other nations was more important than their freedom. \n\n  My point with this story is that although I am not an anarchist I would like to pose the question what benefits of government is worth you rights and freedom?",
