Anyways at least this post serves as a guide to understan the process of paintings like this, and with it start improving on your level/skills :)",

As a 2018 resolution i proposed to myself to make more art this year, at least little and fast doodles, and i'm going really well by now.\none of my goals in here ain't just showing my art here, but it's process and giving advice of each artwork i make\n\n</div>\n\n <h2> <center>   let's start\n୧(•̀ᴗ•́)9 </center>   </h2>\n\n\n <h3><center>🎨materials🎨</center></h3>\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\n\n- **canvas:** I used a mix media sketchbook, it's pages are grainy and thick, perfect for painting. sketchbook's measurements are 7x10 inches, but i made some guidelines and divided the space in 2, so the painting surface is 6.2x4.3 inches.\n- **paint colors:** The colors i used for this painting are: burnt mber; titanium white; cadmium red medium; caucasian flesh tone; radiant blue; partland grey medium; mars black (left to right in picture)\n- **masking tape:**  I use it to cover the canvases  borders, so when it's taken off it has clean borders, and a defined rectangle shape\n- **brush soap:** it's better to use a special soap, cause the common ones will bent the bristles of your brush\n- **mechanical pencil HB and eraser:** to make the sketch before painting\n- **brushes:** synthetic brushes, all of them are size 2 and round tip. the big clear handle brush is used to extend the medium throughtout the canvas, it wasn't used to paint.\n- **medium:** to make the process (a lot) easier, i use a mix of Gamsol (odorless mineral-spirits) and galkyd ( pain thinner and speed-dryer), the mix must be 50/50 and in little quantities because it's really concentrate.\n\n![IMG_E3485.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVAmCPhQVZF8tS9yi5PjeA8V1Y5RPELzbyNVUJxnRTepP/IMG_E3485.JPG)\n</div>\n\n<div class=\"pull-left\">\n\n ![IMG_3494 (400x400).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPCCqw7Br1rLsJ3mA459Rgmjx6Rs2iwZhzELXdDXjiQGQ/IMG_3494%20(400x400).jpg)  \n  </div> \n\n<div class=\"pull-right\"> \n\n ![IMG_3491 (301x400).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVkQAkUdFNiwnY8rBQZWW1w6jmXpjHaUVQm51owojH5px/IMG_3491%20(301x400).jpg) \n\n</div>\n\n<br />\n\n---\n\n<h3> <center> 🕒Process🕒 </center> </h3>\n\n<br />\n\n<div class=\"pull-left\">  \n\n![IMG_3469 (375x500).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmfWRzYrZmeiAvyfrNHo8pKs7SfjcXrHGSqJFWz7qr2LxF/IMG_3469%20(375x500).jpg)\n </div> \n\n<div class=\"pull-right\"> \n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\n\nfirst we start with the sketch, it's important to do the main shape of our painting on the center of the canvas before giving details.\n\nto get a realistic effect i guided myself with some photos i took to myself with my cellphone. in this phase i chose to make a simple sketch: an sketch with the basic shapes and details i wnted in my painting, because  there was the posibility of changing, sustitute or erase something out of the sketch during the painting process. besides i didn't make this painting with the intention to give it a refined detail but to entertaint myself and enjoy it.\n\n</div>\n<br />\n\n</div>\n\n ---\n<div class=\"pull-left\">  \n\n ![IMG_3472 (375x500).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVkZatXa9aEVEStaQR5stoSUavNKxAu5pVVvX2x5nmDEJ/IMG_3472%20(375x500).jpg)  \n </div> \n\n\n<div class=\"pull-right\"> \n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\n\nhere starts the best(๑>ᴗ<๑)\n\nok, with the finished sketch and our ideas clear, we are ready to add some color. But wait! not yet, to ease the process of painting and avoid being many days needlesly into it, we use the G+G mix (Galkyd+gamsol) and we cover the whole surface with it, using a big flat brush.\n\n¡now let's go painting! i start with the skin that is being iluminated, i'm looking for  a cold skin tone with the help of the radiant blue paint\n </div> \n\n</div>\n\n---\n<div class=\"pull-left\">  \n\n   ![IMG_3473 (281x500).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmQhY9nfhRTaLRJdxHUezkciYWbLwMFLUXuMn3pkqmvnVw/IMG_3473%20(281x500).jpg)\n</div> \n\n<div class=\"pull-right\"> \n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\nlittle by little we start adding more color and defininf some shapes, shadows and lights. I used the cadmium red medium with some G+G that helps to extend the pigment, lightens it and makes it dry faster\n\nthis mix must be used carefully, you don't need to dip the whole brush into it, just with the tips of the bristles lightly touching the surface it's more than enough, beacuse the bushes tend to absorb very easily this mix. besides if you constantly dip the whole brush into the mix it will get more and more polluted with the pigment each time, and this affects the paint tones on each use after it\n</div> \n\n</div> \n\n---\n\n<div class=\"pull-left\">  \n\n![IMG_3476 (375x500).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXAqEjGcBV32CRVfwkrAhgDnLgcY1rb2jBdiGphwhqan5/IMG_3476%20(375x500).jpg)\n</div> \n\n<div class=\"pull-right\">  \n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\nnow we go with the deeper shadows, at the beginning it will look and feel out of place, but as we add detail and color to each part this feeling will disappear.       "body": "# <center>🌸hola a todos🌸 </center>\n\n<center> ![IMG_E3434 (581x600).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmd2qbEo5GPXZtCqvNutD3U4XD5zq58zK2sVSPvHPA8hGZ/IMG_E3434%20(581x600).jpg)\n </center>\n\n <div class=\"text-justify\">\n\n Hoy les traigo una pintura que hice hace unos días.\n\n\nsiempre me pasa que debido a los estudios u otras actividades personales dejo la pintura de lado por largos periodos, desde días a semanas, y en algunas ocasiones por meses. me propuse como meta para este 2018 hacer mas arte, así sean dibujos pequeños y rápidos, y hasta ahora voy bastante bien. \ny una  de mis metas aquí es no solo mostrar mi arte, sino su proceso y dar tips o consejos sobre cada pieza que haga. </div>\n\n <h2> <center>   empecemos\n୧(•̀ᴗ•́)9 </center>   </h2>\n\n\n <h3><center>🎨materiales🎨</center></h3>\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\n\n- **Lienzo:** use un cuaderno de medios mixtos (mix media). Las hojas de este cuaderno son gruesas y con una buena textura, perfecto para pintura. las medidas del cuaderno son 17,7cm x 25,4cm, pero yo hice unas lineas guías dentro de esa hoja para así tener 2 recuadros de 16 x 11 en la misma hoja.\n\n- **Pinturas:**  los colores que use son: rojizo tostado;  Blanco Titanio Rojo cadmio medio; tono de piel caucásico; azul radiante; gris portland medio;  Negro marte (izquierda a derecha)\n- **Tirro o cinta adhesiva de papel:** lo uso para cubrir los bordes del lienzo, y así cuando se quiten tener unos bordes limpios y un recuadro definido\n- **Jabón especial para pinceles:** es mejor usar un jabón especial que uno común, pues estos despues dañan las cerdas del pincel\n- **portaminas HB y borra:** para hacer el boceto antes de pintar  \n- **pinceles:** pinceles sintéticos, todos de tamaño 2 y punta redonda.
