Sorry, I couldn't help myself.\n\nNow I could go on and on and on about the primary obsession of creating AI to mirror our female counterparts (looking at you Siri, Cortana, & Alexa) and I'm sure somewhere, someone already has. With that, this was kind of a followup of my own personal thoughts about a story I recently read. I mean, we get it, we're working our way towards developing a more and more realistic doll that we can essentially have sex with. That seems to be the aim anyways. That whole, let's advance technology and either use it to kill, or let's advance technology and fuck it!\n\nI'm sort of in that group worried about the rise of the machine. Pulls off the balance between the nerdy Peter Parker yet reels in that Spider-Man smart ass attitude pretty damn well. I never loved Tobey Maguire in the role, and Andrew Garfield really pulled more of a jerky than smart ass Spider-Man with a lukewarm portrayal of Peter. The other problem with Maguire and Garfield? And needless to say, he might well have been the best part of the movie, or at least one of the ones fans were looking forward to more than Tony and Cap's drama. Young and immature enough still to be a convincing high school student. I get the whole master and apprentice thing they're trying to pull with Tony and Peter, but it kind of takes away the whole role of Peter's Uncle Ben's influence on his life. I'm sorry to say it, but Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr., while not physically present throughout the entire movie is seemingly omnipresent throughout. From the constant mention of the \"Stark Internship\" and Peter's numerous phone calls to Happy asking when the next mission is, to Spider-Man's suit. It felt like it turned Spider-Man, who is an interesting enough character on his own, to an Iron Man Jr. minus the actual armor. \n\nNews from the SDCC is that Infinity War will have Peter wearing that Iron Spiderish suit that Tony offered at the end of Homecoming. Unfortunately, I couldn't pull up a picture of the gaudy thing, but I'm liking a Spider-Man with just a bit less tech and a bit less influence from the MCU's Tony Stark.\n\nAnyways, don't get me wrong, I'm an Iron Man fan, I'm a Robert Downey Jr. fan who enjoys his portrayal of Tony Stark.
