However, their 'godfathers' remain out of touch.\nAccording to the Forest Department information, the activities of forest robbers have decreased but the deer poaching gangs have become more desperate in the Sundarbans and its adjacent areas.\nVenison is regularly sold in the villages of Munshiganj, Koikhali, Bhetkhali, Jatindranagar and Moragang unions under Shyamnagar upazila, and the trend is growing day by day.\nHowever, the Forest Department claimed that their drive against the deer poaching and hunting is on.\nLocals said people do not hesitate to buy venison at Tk 500 to Tk 600 per kg as many like it.\nAlthough the authorities have a list of deer hunters and meat traders, the administration does not take any action against them, allege locals.\nThere are allegations that poachers are doing their business managing a section of staff both at the Forest Department and the local administration.\nA source wishing anonymity said a local millionaire and shrimp trader, who is known as the godfather of the deer hunters, often goes out for deer hunting in the Sundarbans by his own trawler.\nEven he takes all the responsibilities if any deer hunter is arrested, claimed locals.\nOn July 9, a hunter-gang went in Chunkuri area of the Sundarbans for hunting deer. A sub-inspector and several constables of Shyamnagar police station were with them, claimed the locals.\nAfter the incident spread in the social media, a case was filed with Shyamnagar Police Station accusing six people, including Sattar Morol.\nRafiq Ahmed, a forest officer at Satkhira Range, said that no one of forest department takes bribe. \"If any evidence is found, stern action will be taken against them,\" he added.\n\"Security measures have been strengthened by increasing patrol in the area,\" said the forest official adding, \"We've recovered three dead deer and arrested two hunters.\"\nSyed Mannan Ali, officer-in-charge of Shyamnagar Police station, said their drives against forest robbers and poachers will continue.",

DB told industry publication International Railway Journal at the time that they were “still interested” in running in “the medium-term” but declined to confirm a start date.\nBut a spokesperson for the publicly owned company now told The Independent: “ICE direct services to London will not be on the agenda in the foreseeable future.\n“The decisive factors are technical and economic reasons: the ICE BR 407 is not yet registered in Belgium and the economic environment has changed significantly as a result of the price competition with low-cost airlines.\n“We ask for your understanding that we won’t comment on political developments like Brexit.”\nOne reason cited by the spokesperson, that its train model is not registered in Belgium, is technically correct – though similar trains are now used through the tunnel by Eurostar under a different brand name, meaning obtaining clearance to run them should not be difficult.\nAs well as the uncertainty caused by Brexit potentially affecting the services, there had been some speculation in the railway industry press that the relocation of financial services to Frankfurt from London after the UK leaves the EU could increased demand for a high speed rail link, with executives needing to travel back and forth at speed. One congress member voted for \"neither bid.\"\nThe 2026 event will be the first expanded tournament featuring 48 teams, up from the current 32-team tournament, which begins in Russia on Thursday.\nBoth bids were given a last chance to make their case with 15 minute presentations in front of congress, at the Moscow Expocentre.\nThe north Americans pledged their tournament would generate an $11 billion profit, while Morocco, which has now failed in five bids to host a World Cup, said theirs would make five billion.\nAlthough it will be the first tournament to be hosted by three nations, the vast majority of games will be held in the Unites States.\nOf the 80 games, 10 matches will be held in Canada, 10 in Mexico and 60 in the US with the final played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, home to the NFL's New York Giants and New York Jets.\n\"Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2026,\" Carlos Cordiero, president of the US Soccer Federation told Congress.\n\"Football today is the only winner.\"\nThe US hosted the World Cup previously in 1994 while Mexico hosted it in 1970 and 1986. Canada has never hosted a men's World Cup but held the women's tournament in 2015.\n\"We are very excited and humbled that the FIFA Member Associations have entrusted the CONCACAF region with the honour of hosting the 2026 World Cup in its new extended format,\" CONCACAF said in a statement.\n\"Each of the United Bid's 23 proposed stadiums are fully built, occupied, and operational, ensuring long-term use following the 2026 World Cup.\"\nDecio de Maria, President of Mexico Football Federation and Co-Chair of the United Bid, said: \"We are grateful for the chance to bring to life FIFA's new vision for the future of football.\n\"We will use this platform to unite the world around football and help create a new and sustainable blueprint for the future of FIFA World Cups.\"\nNEW SYSTEM\nThe last time FIFA voted on World Cup hosting rights was in 2010 with the decision resting with the old executive committee and they chose Russia to host the 2018 tournament and Qatar for 2022.\nSeveral members of that committee were later banned from the sport after they were caught up in the corruption scandal that engulfed world football's governing body in 2015.\nUnder FIFA's new system for choosing the host, all eligible football federations who attend congress were given a vote.\nThe result has been a jet-setting campaign from both bids who have travelled the globe in an attempt to win over the worldwide electorate.\nCordeiro has said his bid would generate $14bn in revenue and make an $11bn profit for FIFA. The bid also expects record ticket and hospitality revenue.\nThe result is a boost for FIFA president Gianni Infantino, who while he maintained neutrality during the campaign, was known to be keen to see the first expanded tournament be held in North America.\nThe 2022 tournament will be hosted by Qatar while the 2018 edition kicks off in Moscow on Thursday when Russia play Saudi Arabia.\n",
