Treason is a pretty big deal. Selling state secrets to other countries, also a big deal. To enable treason is a pretty serious charge. You may want to consider that. I know that the news media told you it was a nothingburger, but they lied. They are under no obligation to tell you the truth.\n\nThere are problems with systematic abuse; not just cops being abusive, sadistic dicks, but of human trafficking on a scale you really can't wrap you head around because you've been conditioned to dismiss icky topics in favor of fluff and mind-numbing rot.\n\nThere are problems with groups of people engineering mind-numbing rot for the specific purpose to fuck over people, to pit them against each other. Because as long as we're fighting each other, we aren't fighting THEM.\n\nThere are problems with people turning a blind eye to the systematic and ritualistic sex abuse of children, because again, icky, and those same people who participate are the same ones pitting us against each other. If we don't turn our attention to the people actually doing the horrible things, then we enable. Go look up the Finders. Read The Franklin Cover Up by John Decamp. Understand that Pizzagate was Franklin Cover Up 2.0 with internet. Read Trance Formation of America by Cathy O'Brien. Then read Thanks for the Memories by Brice Taylor. Understand this shit system is entrenched in our society. The only way to actually fix it is to bring attention to it and not dismiss it as a conspiracy theory. If law enforcement did their jobs regarding Epstien back in 2007, then think of how many sex abuse victims could have been spared. But no... Rich people don't have a pimp specializing in children, sadism, or ritualistic torture and Bill Clinton didn't take 26+ trips on the Lolita express.\n\nThere are problems with corruption seeping into law enforcement, politics, medicine, military, hollywood... hell, name an industry and you'll find one where people are groomed to be monsters; blackmail, brownstone ops, and honeypots are a thing. For people in power to do horrible things, they must have enablers. And those enablers come in every socio-economic status.\n\nThere are problems with the media abusing the Smith-Mundt Act repeal, because before it was repealed, it banned the use of propaganda on the domestic population.\n\nThere's a problem with people not understanding the severity of that prior statement as their eyes glaze over in want of mind-numbing rot.\n\nThe Smith Mundt Act forbid the use of propaganda on Americans. It was repealed by Obama in 2013. \n\nObama legalized propaganda and it got a total of 20 seconds of airtime. Can't let people know they're about to be lied to!\n\nThere are problems with people in the government loyal to those who espouse the notion that corruption and deceit are the way to operate, who will stop at nothing to abuse American people, include LYING to them in order to force them into a direction they would not normally go themselves.\n\nThere are problems with people too caught up in emotional abuse by propagandists to understand that what they advocate for is their own demise.\n\nThere are problems with people not doing their own research, relying instead on the propagandists on tv who tell them what they must thing, how they must feel, and what they should do. They do not understand that they are being manipulated into their own demise.\n\nThere are people who listen to words but fail to research the history to see if those words hold veracity. They repeat them on and on, programming themselves and others around them into believing the propaganda. And they cannot see that they are being propagandized, gaslit, abused, and emotionally baited to suit the wants of those who literally wish to kill America.\n\nThere's a problem with people not understanding that this shit system in America, of the abusive cops, child abuse, wealthy people trafficking children... its all tied together. It's social engineering designed to fracture us until we break.\nThere are people in out government who do not give a shit about us, and if your first inclination is to chime in with TRUMP! Then allow me to tell you something:\n\nIf you are low income and live in California, you can get the state-funded health insurance, Medi*Cal. In the 2020 edition of California's Medi-Cal handbook, it states that you can request that your private health information not be given to third parties. You can request in writing that they not share or sell your information, but they are under no obligation to honor your request. The kicker is that the next page says that one's private health information may be given to organ procurement organizations, and transporters.\n\nThink about that. California is harvesting the organs of the poor, like China. You can ask that they not, but they are under no obligation to honor it. I was told that was a violation of HIPPA, but, hey, it's California, and California has been fucking over people for a long ass time. This didn't happen because of Trump. California is Democrat country. All those cities burning are Democrat country. When will you people recognize that the party that was in power for 8 years doesn't want to give up it's power and has in fact sold out America and it's people-- including the most vulnerable?\n\nLet me tell you a little story.\n\nLet's pretend there's a super corrupt government doing horrible things-- like worse than anything you can think of, and there's an election coming and they're so damn sure they got it in their pocket. They got a law repealed a few years before which allows for propagandizing the American people. They invested in some various 'freedom fighters' overseas, and traded in armaments, drugs, and people. They especially love kids as currency. 800,000 kids go missing every year. Harvested from the streets, homes, malls. They even have their own pimp who got caught but they pulled some strings and gave him what equated to a slap on the wrist with a feather because he was too important in his role as blackmailer in chief.\n\nThese people are so damn corrupt and they have their own corrupt candidate running, someone with her own blackmail ring, and her divisive record as Secretary of State left a country with open air slave markets. Her foundation harvested Haiti of it's people, trafficking them, and when one of her trafficking minions was caught, got bailed out by the candidate's husband, the ex-president, and now works for Amber Alerts. Their corrupt assets were in every department, every hierarchy in the government. That way, if there was a scandal or something that needed\n\nThey had the media in their pockets, and asked them during the election season to drum up a couple of the other team's candidate's as pied pipers, with emphasis on one in particular. Play him up hard as a viable candidate to throw off the corrupt candidate's same party competition, someone who drew the people in a way the corrupt candidate could not do. And so the Dogs of Media War were unleashed, going so far as to show the pied piper candidate's empty podium rather than cover a speech by the same-party competitor. They put him front and center, and he blew the competition out of the water.\n\nAnd then it turned out the corrupt people didn't have their assistants finish reading The Pied Piper of Hamlin, because at the end of the story, the Pied Piper gets revenge on those who tried screwing him over. \n\nDespite media manipulation, and voting booth manipulation, the Pied Piper Candidate won.\n\nHe wasn't supposed to win; the corrupt candidate was supposed to win. \n\nOh shit.\n\n*Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit Oh shit!*\n\nHis top choices were men of ethics and integrity and knew where the bodies were buried. The Pied Piper candidate was an existential threat to the corrupt institution. But that was okay; they corrupt had assets everywhere and already had gathered intel on the incoming president's family, those who were working for him, or going to work for him.\n\nAnd so the corrupt institution unleashed the Dogs of Media war again, this time in an onslaught against the incoming president because they knew from his picks that he was going to gut the corrupt system. Not just the gun, drugs, and human trafficking but the social engineering programs. He wanted to unleash the hidden tech kept locked up in black projects, and try to do what JFK attempted.\n\nHe wanted to give Americans and the world a Star Trek future that was kept from them by the corrupt. Imagine replicators for food and textiles being freely available. A world without want. And to the corrupt, that's just not acceptable.\n\nThere's only one type of currency that is recession proof: information. That is why blackmail is so successful. If one is trying to undo the shit system that subjugates humanity to an extent most people can't comprehend because they'd rather watch cat videos, you can bet that those who invested into the system, built the system, maintained the system and slush-funded the system wouldn't go down without a fight. We've seen that everyday since Trump won the 2016 election. Every single day, the media whipping the disappointed and gaslit masses into a frenzy of Bad Man Orange.\n\nThose trying to fix the shit system, to put good people in positions of power so they can muck out decade of rot, are slandered and abused because those participating in the system don't want it to end and their crimes found out.\n\nHow would it make you feel, New York City and Minneapolis small business owners, if I told you that destroying your business was a part of the corrupt plan? Not just chaos of greedy little shits, but a means to destroy your community so a new system could be instilled. Without income, you're dependent upon them, and their shitbird ideals mean you cannot own a business. A business is communal, and it's profits go to all.\n\nSmall businesses and communities destroyed in these protests-turned-riots, because to those infiltrating and instigating, businesses are for bootlickers and bootlickers need a reeducation, gulag style, if not outright execution.\n\nThese people are backed by regimes that kill gays, murder ethnic minorities to harvest organs,  and want nothing more than to see America fall and every American who dares stand in the way of it's destruction, gone.\n\nThis is the reality.\n\nAnd then they would have an excuse to bring in the UN. All those mayors kicking out the National Guard would probably jump at the UN guarding things. If you read the news about UN scandals, you would see why that's a shit idea.\n\nThe protests served as a means for malcontents to incite violence and push their agenda of destabilization and destruction. They don't care about George Floyd. He was a means to an end and that's all. A sacrifice to trauma program America into compliancy.\n\nThe protests lost many supporters once the infiltrators made their move, with pallets of bricks delivered to protest routes, and the wanton destruction of communities. How does stealing a cheesecake honor George's memory? \n\nThat's not how we change things.\n\nIf we want change and unity, it must be organic.\n\nIf we want change and unity, it cannot rely on virtue signaling.\n\nIf we want change and unity, it cannot rely on bulling, violence, and intimidation-- aren't those the same things people were complaining the cops were doing? \n\nIf we want change and unity, it must come from the heart. \n\nDecent people want only good cops on the force, and bad cops held accountable to the same letter of the law as they themselves are held. Decent people want to see everybody thrive, and for people in all walks of life to have dignity. They believe in the digital equivalent of book burning, and if you’re okay with that, fine. Just acknowledge you’re way more fascist than democratic in your reasoning. Because that’s what’s being curated; a fascist mentality masquerading as democratic when it’s anything but. It’s literally “You better believe exactly what I believe or you’re the enemy worthy of destruction.” Full stop fascism. Fauchi, the scummy little doctor pushing for vaccinations, he knows HCQ is effective, but there’s more money to be made with pushing things that can be patented. Like, where’s the money to be made when a pill that costs .50  is available vs a vaccine dosage that costs $1000? There’s your answer. ALWAYS follow the money. Did you know two factories used in manufacturing an ingredient for HCQ caught fire recently? Yeah. That happened. How many people are pushing for a vaccine before things start back up? She wasted everybody’s time, money, energy…everything) by manipulating people into voting for her.       "body": "<center>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SyiafSAfxw</center>\n<center>*rough cut*</center>\n\nSo, the story behind this project: a) couldn't sleep worth a damn because the Schumann Resonance was in whiteout the whole weekend, so I basically took a bunch of stuff I've gleaned from the internet and stitched together a documentary, somewhat inspired by Out of Shadows, but going further into the quagmire which is the MKUltra project woven into America through the Patriot Act and FISA abuse: Targeted Individuals. \n\nIncluded is a lecture at West Point War School by a neuroscientist about all the different ways \"they\" have at getting at targets; and not just individuals, but groups, with use of aerosolized nanoparticulate matter which can be used in various ways to disrupt the target, and augmenting medical records (which is what I believe [happened to me with the \"it's not potassium\"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wub1Ql5D5ho&t=598s) thing; they disrupted my potassium through medication by inducing a fucked up heart beat, forcing me to take meds to stabilize my cardiac health-- huge known side effect of those meds is that they deplete potassium,  so when I was supplemented with potassium by the ER doctors and given a prescription for it, \"they\" disrupted my calls to my doctor (either would ring for 7+ mins or go to voice mail; gal at the front desk tried helping me connect, going above and beyond) so I couldn't get refilled my prescription, forcing me back to the ER for cardiac observation from heart palpitations. THEN, some doctor comes in, claims she's the admin for both the hospital where I went to the ER, and the hospital I was sent to for cardiac observation [funny, I looked for her picture on the hospital's site under administration... she's not there.] and that she thinks my potassium dosage was too high, and should be cut in half, and that she'll make sure that I get a prescription... and I did. And within 24 hours of getting it filled, there were PSYCHOTROPIC SEDATIVES slipped inside, which looked very similar to the lower dosage potassium... same color, size, and shape. Had I taken them at the time, my potassium levels would have dropped to non-existent, and I would have DIED. That lecture validates that I am targeted, and what they did was fucking schoolbook.)\n\nThis is the rough cut; my computer was fritzing out and almost didn't even render.  \n\nWe're in an information war and I want to help connect the dots for those who don't do deep dives, as to how we got this way.",

Blood pounded in my veins. Reminded myself he and I have a common enemy, and that is Xed Merxes Miro.\n\nI raised my chin a notch as I answered his question of my identity. “I am Zelda, daughter of Dorfgan, heir to Caglin, a country on Ternova. I am representing our interests at this summit.”\n\nYrsen bowed low with an elegant flare while his golden hair glinted from the overhead lights. “I am Yrsen, Head Scientist of the Hiyolyne Oasis, appointed by His High Lordship, Merin, of the Cynari.”\n\n“A scientist? I would have not known, given the speech you made. What do you make all science-y?”\n\nYrsen smiled, “Would that I could tell you. Classified.”\n\nI nodded. “As you wish.”\n\n“Already have.” He cleared his throat and asked, “Do you know where to eat in this place?”\n\n“Well, there’s the dining hall. Just stay away from the blue soup with green bits.”\n\nWith a quirked brow, Yrsen smiled. “Why is that?”\n\n“Soup shouldn’t move on its own accord.” I cracked half a smile and shifted my weight as I stood. “From what I understand, it’s a delicacy.”\n\n“Duly noted. I was told it tastes like scum from a stagnant pond.”\n\nI put the holotablet down, and moved to the organic wall, Yrsen joining me. The portal opened to the conveyance hatch. As Yrsen stepped into it, he said, “Your holotablet is getting a transmission.”\n\nMy eyes followed his pointing finger, and indeed, I was. Picked it up, and saw who it was from the com line sequence identifier. Seen it a thousand times.  Seemed weird with no visual, only audio.\n\n“Dad?”\n\n“Zelda, the plan failed. They set an ambush on Mizuli. It’s Miro’s hideout.” My father’s voice faded out. Then visual kicked in as my Father lean forward.  I saw his bruised face reflecting through the hologram image.  Could hear a pounding in the distance. “They’re coming for me. Convince them all, Zelda. They’ll come after you next to make a point. Miro will move his hideout…” A boot came crashing down on my father’s holotablet, ending the transmission.\n\nI stood silently holding my own holotablet, hoping for another transmission from my father. I knew it would never come, though. For a moment, I hoped the wall had closed behind Yrsen and he went off to the dining hall and I was left alone for the transmission. But be prepared for the worst had been drummed into my head since childhood. Gotta offer a little cover in case he was still here.\n\n“I’m not so hungry, anymore.” Turned around, hoping to see a sealed wall. What I saw was one of Yrsen’s feet poking out into my room, keeping the door to the conveyance open. Took a deep breath and let it out as I realized there wasn’t much I could do at this moment.  Felt trapped, that all I could do is speculate at my father’s fate. Even if I left now, it’d be three weeks back to Ternova, another two to stock up, and another for a primary and a couple contingency plans. And maybe, if I pestered my uncle about it, things would get expedited, but then it’d get political, and I was given specific instructions regarding the wedreed matter to try my best to keep it from getting political. Needed to be grassroots. Peace must be maintained and militarization would be bad optics so soon after the revolution. Knowing this, I knew there were limited sources I could draw from, and each one had to make sure that they made no extra enemies besides Miro.\n\nYrsen looked to me, compassion in his eyes. “You shouldn’t be left alone. Going after him is dangerous. His thugs have enslaved and killed dozens of indigenous communities on Iocyne, they’ll have no issue doing the same to you.”\n\n“You think I can’t take care of myself?” I didn’t mean to use the accusatory tone that indicated just how pissed off I was, but the thought of being babysat didn’t sit well. Who the hell did he think he was? Knights in shining armor died with the old Earth.\n\n“I am insinuating nothing of the sort. But four eyes are better than two, unless human anatomy involves eyes in the back of your head? Did I just not see someone’s foot destroy your father’s connection to the outside world? Correct me if I’m wrong, by all means, please.”\n\nI glowered at him. “I’m not in the mood for witty banter, sorry. If you want to babysit me, fine. Just think of the implications, though. A head scientist and person of influence suddenly thrown together at a very public venue… people could wonder.” Perhaps appealing to his sense of respectability would give him pause. The thought of him tagging along bothered me. Family business needs to stay in the family. He had no obligations toward me and I resented him making me his project.  Sure, we both had Miro as a bullseye, but if he’s some head honcho scientist, then his involvement would qualify as getting political, and I mentally cringed at the notion if the Cynari had negativity cast upon them for being involved with Caglin’s affairs and waging unofficial and unsanctioned war on Merxes Miro. I was supposed to get a delegation to come to Caglin, do things formally and openly, full transparency. Teaming up with an Iocyne scientist… was that formal? I mean, he made his plea in the open… but still. There was something off that set off my mental klaxon alarm.\n\n“Might as well give them something worth talking about, wouldn’t you say? Your father was after Xed Miro, correct? Is that not the person responsible for destroying people and planets? If people want to think tawdry thoughts about us, so be it. It’d be a red herring, as our mutual want is to stop Miro.” He smiled which increased the width of my frown.\n\nWith growing frustration, I looked to this man who suddenly appeared in my life and seemed to serve no purpose other than to frustrate me. “I’m content with letting you help take down Miro. But you’ll follow my directives.” If he couldn’t stomach what I intended, fine. He’d learn the hard way.\n\n“Always so assertive, Zelda?”\n\n“No. But my father’s grudge against Miro goes deep, and I can guarantee things won’t be pretty.”\n\n“You aren’t going to go by normal diplomatic conventions, are you?” Humor now graced his eyes.\n\n“No. Miro bought himself an island and sovereignty from Milguar—a fairly powerful country on Ternova. He’s a power unto himself, with powerful friends. Caglin doesn’t wish to anger his friends, but we do wish to end his open season on our people.” I nibbled on my lip as my mind began wandering in thought. Can I get Hynal to assist? He’s got a crew of five. If I can get Hynal on board, then that’ll take care of the muscle. If he’s occupied, then I can go privately to Uncle Ashokar… He’ll be angry at Father for getting involved, instead of going through the proper channels, but family is family… he’d have to help rescue his heir, right?\n\n“So Miro has his own annex and is thus open for attack?”\n\n“Not exactly.” If it were that easy, Father wouldn’t have been trapped.\n\n“How do you propose to rescue your father?”\n\n“Can’t tell you. Not here.” Security doesn’t exist in places where power gathers. Walls with ears and other things. By now, someone already knows Yrsen is in my room and that I got a transmission from Father, at the very least. Best option is to get out of here as quickly as possible. It was foolish of me to bring Yrsen here. Dammit.\n\nWith another smile, Yrsen replied, “If you don’t have to stay for the summit, I know the perfect place.”\n\nThe summit seemed to fade in importance. My mission was to bring attention to the plight wedreed brought upon Caglin’s people. By engaging the one other person who seemed interested in it, I’ve done just that. Perhaps with Yrsen’s help, Xed Miro can be conquered. His neatly cropped tawny hair glinted beneath the recessed lighting of the conveyance.\n\n“Excuse me. Mind if I…?” He gestured, wanting to know if I minded him joining me in the elevator car.\n\nI replied, “No, of course.” Unless he was a creeper. Too many hands-on types were at this Sector’s meeting. Humans are an oddity here, and politics seemed to breed creepers. Thank goodness for Tazepens. Mine resided in a sheathe sewn into my sleeve; every item in my wardrobe had a hidden sheathe as it was a Ternovian necessity of late. All it would take is a flick of the wrist to seat it into my palm for a little stabby-stabby electrified defense. After years on combat front lines, I had plenty of practice in using the slim metal tool. Always kept on a person, their own electromagnetic field kept it constantly charged, only dispelling it’s pent up power once unsheathed. \n\nThe humanoid stepped into the elevator and pushed the button for the lobby. Doors swooshed shut and down we went. Curiosity sat in his voice. “Are you here for the summit?”  \n\nI had my attention on the sign posted stating the elevator’s maximum weight limit in so many languages I never knew existed. Never saw mine displayed. Turned and looked into a set of green eyes that positively glowed with an inner fire. They twinkled and flickered, and I knew in that moment, whoever this was, was a dignitary from Iocyne. \n\n“Yes I am.” I had yet to master small talk and tried to soften my short answer with a kind tone.\n\nHis eyebrows quirked and he asked, “This is the first time I’ve seen you at a summit. How are you finding the experience?”\n\nI smiled at him. “Interesting. It’s been wonderful to see all the delegates, though.” While few wore suits reminiscent of western society on Old Earth, many preferred their native costume, the colors and cuts delighted my eye. Some were figure-hugging, while others were hardly more than strategically placed nanocomposite feathers bound with arachnid silk. Anthropology was a hobby, and now being here on Velmaris, I couldn’t help but think that five-generations ago, my ancestors from Old Earth awakened from stasis, forging a new colony and here we are today, a thriving society making allies with other civilizations.\n\nThe Cynari colonized Iocyne. Where they were from before, I have no idea. But the lick of fire in their gaze always gave them away. “I’m not terribly fond of the summit experience, but I do enjoy meeting my galactic neighbors.” He held out his hand for me to shake. “I am Yrsen.”\n\nI took his hand, his touch hot, and shook. “Zelda.” Even when we released hands, I could still feel his warmth on my skin.\n\n“Do all of your people have hair the color of fire, Zelda?”\n\n“No, not all. Most are shades of brown or blonde, like you. All of your people have fire in their eyes, it is said.”\n\nHe smiled. “That is true. One cannot be Cynari without the flame of life.”\n\n“Is that what it’s referred to? I’ve wondered. One doesn’t find it referred to often in literature in terms other than ‘fiery-eyed’ or ‘blazing glare’ so, you know, a poetic turn of phrase is most noticeable.”\n\nThe elevator doors melted away and Yrsen held out an arm. “Is it not the custom of your people to say, ‘ladies first’ when the opportunity presents itself?”\n\nI smiled. “An antiquated custom, but yes.” Stepped into the crowded lobby and nodded toward Yrsen. “It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Then I meandered to the conference center for the start of today’s meeting, a summit of this section of galaxy. The room sat close to six hundred, all at round tables with a holoscreen projected from the center, so all could hear and see the speaker clearly, their words translated into native languages for those who didn’t speak the common tongue, have a translator implant, or use the telepathic synapse relay.\n\nThe first speaker from Juilusank talked about how it would benefit all here to permit open commerce without the heavy tariffs on exports. Second speaker droned on about creating solar flare protection and why eradicating asteroid belts would help establish new trade routes, although doing so would also increase space debris.\n\nThe third speaker was Yrsen. He strode up to the podium, squared his shoulders and began an impassioned plea.\n\n“A plague is sweeping through this sector, from Zibtha to Asovilso. This scourge is the bane of all. Increased crime and violence are the children produced by this monster. Rendeise is a drug used by those in power to keep people complacent. It dulls their senses so they can work until they die, without proper nutrition or rest.\n\n“That is slavery. Per the Dielniya’k Treaty of the Milnisant Convention, slavery has been universally banned. Our ancestors fought in the Great Fifth Dimensional War to ensure that every last being in this universe incarnates as a free being, able to choose the life path that best suits them, without harm or hindrance from others. \n\n“If the worker dies, then they don’t have to be paid, do they? This insidious plague against all creeds and species knows no boundaries. It can be airborne so children, too, fall victim to the apathy begat by greed. Any historian can tell you how these acts by their mere existence bring instability to our mutually agreed timeline. We must discover the origins and address it, lest the ripple effect go further than Iocyne. It’s why our ancestors fought to bring the fabled Terantiqua into the fold of its galactic brethren and to help its citizens embrace the Fifth Dimension of life in order to break away from the slave plantation that planet had become under the influence of lower frequencies. ”\n\nBehind him flicked on a screen, presenting a slideshow of dead bodies piled before hovels and huge buildings. Some lined the roads in forest, others rotted beneath the sun in some incredibly dry-looking place. Bodies floated in rivers and seas, bloated and grotesque. My guts twisted at the sight, although it shouldn’t. Had Yrsen not presented his plea, I would have presented my own, rife with similar images. Now that he has opened the door, any with a similar problem would flock to him, undoubtedly.\n\n“Ladies and gentlemen, Rendeise is a weed on Iocyne, growing wild around the oases. It is a vital part of the ecosystem, as there are dozens of animals dependent upon it for sustenance.  Its non-narcotic use is vital for indigenous cultures on Iocyne, being used to manufacture textiles, furnishings, and clothing. The patrols we have are inadequate to keep the slavers from decimating Iocyne. And quite frankly, there are a number of planets that have the elements necessary to manufacture Rendeise on a commercial scale, thereby creating an invasive species of plant which would destroy native ecosystems and enslave the native populations.\n\n“We have little recourse left. Any guards we placed along targeted oasis are murdered, and Rendeise taken. We cannot keep feeding good soldiers to the desert. We need outside help.\n\n“I humbly beseech you all on the behalf of Iocyne and the Cynari, to help us prevent those who destroy and kill from taking Rendeise off Iocyne to use as an intoxicant to enslave and kill. Millions of beings have died already. How many more will be enslaved with the bonds of chemical dependence before left rotting in the sun?”\n\nHis speech over, Yrsen left the podium to return to his seat. All sat in silence, shocked by the grotesque bodies he had displayed.  More delegates made their debates and pleas while I sat lost in thought.\n\nWhen a stop was called for the day, I sought to find Yrsen in the throng of bodies. Spotted him through the bluish-green gelatinous form of an insect-like Nixys, as he spoke to the Sector’s Summit director. When they were through speaking, I strode over and smiled. “If you don’t mind, I have some questions about your Rendeise issue.”\n\nWith a smile, Yrsen replied, “Certainly. Shall we find somewhere quieter to speak?”\n\nI nodded and said, “Follow me.” We walked to the pod station and waited for another elevator. Once the clear doors faded away, we stepped inside. I scanned my ID badge into the brightly lit console and the membrane door formed before whisking us up and to the right. When the door melted away again, my room lay before us.\n\n“Your  suite?”\n\nI smiled. “This wasn’t a convoluted seduction, I promise.”\n\n“Too bad for me,” and Yrsen flashed his smile again.\n\nThe sensation of blood pounding into my face washed over me as the pod closed its door again and the wall reformed to my room in the hotel. Without wasting time, I made for my bedside and retrieved my holotablet from the nightstand. \n\n“On Ternova, we’ve had a drastic increase in deaths in lower income communities.” I swiped at the holotablet’s screen and projected images I’d photographed of impoverished areas. Bodies in various stages of decomposition as those still alive were skeletonized and near death themselves. Swiped another image, this time showing an all-girls orphanage-turned-brothel. “From what I’ve been able to find out, a substance known as ‘wedreed’ is distributed from this building.”\n\n“Wedreed?”\n\n“I believe that’s what they call Rendeise, at least where I took these images.”\n\n“Who owns that building?”\n\nI cleared my throat. “Xed Merxes Miro.”\n\n“And who is that?” Yrsen prompted me, urgency in his voice. “There is one known as Merxes Miro who is responsible for the bulk of Iocyne’s pillaging.”\n\n“He’s not one you’d call a mobster to his face. A business man who conducts transactions in blood.” Blood of the young and innocent, blood of my kin.
