      "body": "Sleeping for more than eight hours a night could lead to an early death, new research suggests.\n\nA global study led by Keele University has found that people who regularly make time for more sleep could end up with a “serious sleep disorder” that disrupts their breathing and causes an increased risk of heart disease.\n\nAs a result, the researchers, who looked at data from 74 studies, said that excessive sleep could be a “marker” of poor health.\n\nPublished in the Journal of the American Heart Association, the study examined the link between self-reported sleep, cardiovascular disease and mortality in more than three million participants from 1970 to 2017.\n\nThe scientists found that a sleep duration of ten hours is linked with 30 per cent increased risks of early death compared to sleeping for seven hours.\n\nThe study also revealed a 56 per cent increased risk of stroke mortality and a 49 per cent increased risk of cardiovascular mortality for those who slept for more than eight hours.\n\nLead researcher Dr Chun Shing Kwok, who works at Keele University’s Institute for Science and Technology in Medicine, explains: “Our study has an important public health impact in that it shows that excessive sleep is a marker of elevated cardiovascular risk.\n\n“Our findings have important implications as clinicians should have greater consideration for exploring sleep duration and quality during consultations.\n\n“If excessive sleep patterns are found, particularly prolonged durations of eight hours or more, then clinicians should consider screening for adverse cardiovascular risk factors and obstructive sleep apnoea, which is a serious sleep disorder that occurs when a person’s breathing is interrupted during sleep.”\n\nThe study, which also found that poor sleep quality was associated with a 44 per cent increase in coronary heart disease, is one of many that highlight the impact sleep can have on a person’s physical health.\n\nLast month, the University of Sydney revealed that oxygen deprivation caused by sleep apnoea could cause your brain to shrink in the regions which play an important role in memory and which are also affected by dementia.\n\nSimilarly, a recent study by the University of Glasgow found that an insufficient amount of sleep could also be detrimental to your mental health.\n\nThe findings concluded that a disrupted circadian rhythm can lead to an increased possibility of developing mood disorders and lower levels of happiness.",

To present a total hospitality package to tourists and visitors, these two must be aligned.\n\nIn Nigeria, you can arguably posit that there is yet to be a synergy between the hospitality and entertainment industry. This is a minus for both industries because the country is losing out from a major revenue loop. Although both sectors can exist independently, it will do the economy a whole lot of good if they synergise.\n\nLet’s give more credence to this. According to Nigeria’s Hospitality Report, Travel and Tourism was directly responsible for 1.9% (N2.3 billion in actual numbers) of the country’s total GDP in 2017.\n\nMeanwhile, a report in the Vanguard Newspaper reveals that the entertainment and creative sector contributed 2.3 per cent which was approximately N239 billion to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product, GDP in 2016. Definitely, the numbers would have increased in 2017.\n\nYou can only imagine how much the Nigerian government will earn if both industries are synergised. I’d like to thank Real Madrid for the efforts they’ve made, and all the people who have contributed to bringing me to play here.\n\n“I want to show I can match the expectations this badge entails.”\n\nCourtois signed his contract alongside Real president Florentino Perez in the corridors of the Bernabeu, and in front of the club’s record 13 European Cup trophies.\n\n“Throughout my career, I’ve done my best at every club I’ve played for,” he added.\n\nHe will be only the second Belgian to play for the capital-city giants, after Fernand Goyvaerts, who was at Real from 1965-1967.\n\n“Real Madrid can boast the arrival of one of the world’s best goalkeepers, if not the very best,” said Perez.\n\n“He comes to Real Madrid at 26 years of age, but having already experienced huge success in European football.”\n\nCourtois is expected to take over as first-choice ‘keeper from Costa Rican Keylor Navas, but says he is prepared to fight for the shirt, having had to replace Petr Cech when he returned to Chelsea from a long loan spell at Atletico Madrid in 2014, before going on to make 126 Premier League appearances for the Blues.\n\n“It would be a mistake to give guarantees (to one of the two goalkeepers),” he said. “You have to demonstrate in training that you should play, and you have to keep it that way.",
