| body | Nowadays, the development momentum of automatic driving in the world is becoming more and more fierce, and talents in this field were once considered to be “Sweet Potatoes”. Even in the United States, the starting salaries of autonomous driving engineers have already exceeded $250,000, and the high price of our country's ‘opening price’ is even more embarrassing. Talent, talent, or talent! Three important things to say! We are fully aware that a handful of technology geeks cannot support the continuous development of autonomous driving technology. More engineers need to join the research and development team of autonomous driving. However, experts with rich experience are very busy and how to do talent training. ? In this regard, David Silver of the Udacity team feels deeply! As a leader in the automated driving courses training on the Udacity team, David Silver told Xiao Bian about the beginning and end of his relationship with autonomous driving and its courses. A few years ago, David Silver, then a network software developer, was very interested in auto-driving while writing the website, but was suffering from no background in the development of robot software or auto-driving software. “Because I didn't have a foundation, I started to learn online courses on Udacity or other online courses. Then I finally got my own ability to work in an autopilot team at a California company,” said David Silver. After David Silver got the job offer, the Udacity team heard the news and learned about it. “They asked if I could go to Udacity to help create an autopilot course so that other people also have the opportunity to learn enough to be an autonomous driving engineer like me,” David Silver added. For David Silver, being able to work in the field of automated driving is a very exciting thing. In addition, it is also important that Sebastian Thrun, the teacher responsible for the Udacity Autopilot project, is also the founder of Udacity and a former professor of computer science at Stanford University. Prior to founding Udacity, he started and led Google’s automated driving program, now known as Waymo. Before the Google project, he also led the Stanford University’s No. 1 autopilot team, which can be regarded as the “father of automatic driving”. David Silver was very excited to recall the scene: "At Udaicty, I can work with him and teach those students what I learned before I became an autopilot engineer. This experience is simply fantastic." David Silver: Actually it depends on the difficulty of the course. For Udacity's Automated Driving Micro-degree program, students must have basic engineering skills before starting the course. Therefore, we will conduct audits in the application process, such as mid-level programming capabilities, basic calculations, physics, and statistics. In contrast, other courses offered in Udacity do not require any background and anyone can participate. For example, a nano-degree program called "Introduction to Driverlessness" does not require students to have any knowledge or even programming experience. We will help them complete the preparation required to participate in the Automated Driving Nano-degree program so that they can further study and become self-driving automotive engineers. We also have similar projects in web development and mobile development, where we can learn the necessary courses to boost our careers. CSDN: What skills do you think an automotive engineer in a qualified autopilot field needs? David Silver: In fact, automatic driving engineering is a very interesting direction, because it involves several different areas, including software engineering, mechanical engineering, as well as mathematics, statistics, and electrical engineering, so it needs to come from a lot of very different Skills in the field are added. Before I started to study autopilot, I was still a network software developer and I never needed to know much about mechanical engineering or even statistics. However, if you want to become a self-driving car engineer, in addition to mastering all these different areas of knowledge, but also to combine this knowledge, this part is more difficult, which is one of the reasons why students come to Udacity to learn autopilot. In the process, we will help them learn all the skills they need. There are so many skills that you need to learn. How do you ensure that students have the skills that the industry needs? On this issue, David Silver said that Udacity's curriculum is very focused on the needs of the actual work, so the work done is based on the skills that students need to know to succeed in their work. For example, if you want to teach a course on autopilot, robotics, or deep learning or even web development, you first need to communicate with the hiring manager of the relevant company. For example, job seekers who ask questions and hope what kind of skills are available for interview work. “We focus on accomplishing these tasks and teaching these skills to students, which may differ from traditional university education. But at Udacity, as long as you learn what you need to know, you can succeed in your work. This approach allows us to provide education with a shorter cycle and more focused content,” said David Silver. Xiaobian feels that what Udacity is doing is actually trying to link education with industry recruitment partners and focus on what people need to know in order to get higher pay when they choose a job. It can be called practical. Educational experience. In addition to mastering all these different areas of knowledge, qualified autopilot engineers must also learn to integrate this knowledge together. This is a relatively difficult process. How to combine different but all related skills? In response, David Silver stated that Udacity's self-driving program will last for nine months and each month will involve different topics in the field of automated driving. According to Xiaobian, after completing the initial course introduction, the project will introduce deep learning, as well as computer vision and sensory vision. Sensory vision is how to use other sensors in addition to the camera on the car to understand the reality. It also involves some knowledge of positioning. Then we will introduce the motion planning or path planning, that is, how the car plans the driving route in reality. With respect to system control, it may involve how the car translates computer commands that follow the path into actual behavior. In the next few months, students will learn more about one or several different topics. Lastly, there will be a month of systematic discussion that will bring all the content together and participate in team tasks with other students worldwide, that is, send the code and apply the code to the actual self-driving car. One thing to emphasize, Udacity has a self-driving car in California. Every student who wants to graduate from the project sends their code and places their code on a self-driving car. David Silver: We have chosen to localize some courses in China. In fact, we even started to set up courses specifically for China. For example, we are developing a WeChat micro-degree course for WeChat developers. This is an education goal set up for Chinese software engineers. At the same time, we also set up courses such as the Autopilot project and translated them into Chinese. We also studied many other projects at the same time. Because we saw a lot of students from China taking part in our courses, this phenomenon made us very excited. We really need to observe how Chinese students interact with global students through the official community and how to share online social networking activities through other online forums, online sharing, or sharing questions online. Udacity is eager to work with Chinese students. In the future, we will create more exciting opportunities to carry out automatic driving activities. China has many different science and technology themes and has made considerable progress in leading so many different areas of the world. It is a great honor to help Chinese students assess and improve their careers. In the future, they will have a deeper understanding of the Chinese market. In addition, another important reason for coming to China this time is that we are working with Baidu to create free courses for Apollo. This is a typical example of Udacity's cooperation with industry partners to help learners prepare for practical work. As we all know, Apollo is an open source automated driving platform that is operated by Baidu and auto-driving developers worldwide. Companies in many different fields are working with Apollo to automate their cars. We are working with the Baidu team and other partners to consult with them and what capabilities Apollo engineers need to interview. Then we will carefully communicate with Baidu to understand how to make students become Apollo engineers to teach them what they need to learn. Importantly, whether it's for me or a partner like Baidu Apollo, the Apollo open source automated driving program that was built collaboratively and launched in summer is a good time to enter the auto-pilot industry in China. I am extremely excited about the future of Apollo. In the past, due to the restrictions on trade secrets, the autopilot incident was once secretive. It showed that each company was secretive about its own business and did not want to share data and software related to others. Now, Apollo is opening up its own automated driving solutions to the world, providing more different groups with tools to use and enhancing their capabilities through Apollo. Perhaps we can predict that in the next five to ten years, the number of self-driving cars will increase, although we may still own and use ordinary cars. We may find that we have dedicated lanes for autonomous driving at high speeds. We may have real unmanned delivery trucks to help us deliver food quickly or assist in shopping, and of course we may also experience side effects. But anyway, I think there is an open source system for self-driving cars, just like Apollo, which will help many different companies learn to adopt such software and apply it to different businesses. This scenario will be very interesting. Whether learning to become an autonomous driving engineer or supplementing some other skills, essentially belongs to the category of “lifelong learning”, and David Silver also has his own opinions. “I think Udacity’s service is ultimately lifelong learning. The idea of lifelong learning affects every stage of a career, so you must keep up to date with the latest situation. That's why we want to collaborate with Baidu Apollo to develop free courses, just to make Software engineers who have even become self-driving car engineers can learn about Apollo and apply it to their ongoing work,” said David Silver. He mentioned to Xiao Bian that every time he heard a lot of engineers who had already entered the work of the autopilot team, they were very excited to participate in the Apollo course that we are building. We wanted to learn how to apply Apollo to our autopilot project. Happy. In fact, think carefully, everyone's career will be the same. Now is no longer the time when you have finished studying four years of university and you don't need to learn anything again. Instead, everyone must learn new knowledge every year in order to maintain the best possible status. When it comes to autonomous driving, David Silver is not only an experienced technical training expert, but also has his own thinking about the development of the industry. Relevant data show that in the past year alone, about 265,000 Chinese citizens died as a result of automated piltions. We hope that this number will drop from 265,000 to nearly zero. On the other hand, the biggest impact on automated driving is its safety. They will not really bother us, they will not be drunk, and they will not make many mistakes made by human drivers. In addition, David Silver believes that another wonderful aspect of autonomous driving is that they will learn again from the mistakes they have made. When we examine our driver's license, we must learn from scratch, but every time we build a new self-driving car, it will learn all things learned in the past in advance, and experience will play an important role. effect. “I think another impact of autonomous driving is the enormous economic growth that can be brought. According to The World Help Organistion, we are losing about 3-6% of GDP each year due to automation accidents. When they die, no one can feel their economic potential, which is also caused by traffic congestion and traffic pollution, so we hope to reduce or mitigate automation accidents, so that we can get about 3-6% of economic growth every year. Realizing that 6% of China's GDP is actually huge, and that the US economy is growing at a relatively faster rate, it seems that even if autopilot does nothing, it will make everybody’s life better,” added David Silver. CSDN: In the face of the current situation of autonomous driving, most companies claim that their cars will be on the road by 2020 or 2021. Based on your understanding of this, which company will achieve this goal first? The David Silver: Many companies have announced that they want to develop self-driving cars as quickly as possible. For the general public, it may be said that the company that has reached the Level 4 auto-driving car level is Waymo. So Waymo recently announced that they will have a completely driverless car in Araziona in the United States by the end of this year and be open to anyone. You, me, anyone should go to test drive. However, in addition to Waymo, there are many other companies that will also manufacture driverless cars in the near future. I think in the U.S., you'll see Uber and you'll see Cruz... They are all automating car tests, many of which are live test drives. In China, you will see companies like Baidu or Pony.ai testing auto-driving cars. It is expected that in the next few years, you will see the self-driving cars developed by Chinese companies starting to really carry tourists. So I think that whoever gets the first place is still not sure, we can wait and see in the next few years. The current scenario is that the landing of self-driving cars will expand outward in a very compact geographical area. Now we can drive this type of car in Araziona in Boston, but the range is limited to very small areas, perhaps 3030 kilometers. If you exceed this area, the car will not know what to do. How fast is the expansion of this area? It may be from 3030 kilometers to 100100 kilometers and 200200 kilometers. How many such areas will emerge? In the next few years, we will begin to see more and more tests begin to land. It will not be sudden, but at a more gradual pace. David Silver: Of course, I think there are many different ways to start a self-driving car and you can achieve success. Some companies will use existing software such as Apollo to build outstanding business capabilities for them and engage in a variety of amazing things. But we will also see creative solutions from other self-driving car startups, and big companies will pay attention to them. If those big companies think that such startups are very helpful for the development of autonomous cars, they will acquire these startups. Of course, there are also some self-driving car startups that will eventually fail and will close down. I think we can all see these results. Of course, it is also very much expected to see several startups bring innovative technology to bring a turning point, and to build a huge business. Its realization in establishing a self-driving car company is more attractive than building many other types of companies. As far as autonomous driving is concerned, it is now more of an open industry. Many companies are actively building their own self-driving cars. I think small companies can fully establish themselves in this situation and establish truly large companies. And Baidu helps establish this model through Apollo, because it allows Chinese companies to focus on research where Apollo's open-source drive cars run into problems, and it really should be something they are really good at or are interested in. Many different technologies for self-driving cars in the future will be solved by the division of labor of many different companies, which is a bit like the current way of working in the automotive industry. Automated manufacturing and sales are usually the responsibility of large companies, but automobiles require many other resources, many different suppliers, and different sizes. So I think that in the future, big companies may be responsible for auto-driving cars. Small companies start to use self-driving cars to do interesting things. They may be delivering food to restaurants, or they may provide home delivery services for new retail. This has great potential. It only needs to wait and see how the industry changes. Big companies are dealing with this issue, but small startups can also be entering different segments of the market. CSDN: What is the difference between the United States and China’s auto-driving car market? David Silver: A big difference between the American auto-driving car market and the Chinese auto-driving car market is that the US auto-driving car market started earlier. Many companies in the United States have already worked in autopilot for 5 or 10 years, while auto-driving cars are even more fresh in China. I think there are several areas in the mobile industry. China is quite outstanding in these areas. One is the infrastructure, China's infrastructure is building so quickly, and the idea of exporting the communication ecology of the infrastructure may start with traffic lights and cars, the cars communicating with each other and cars are learning about roads through invented sensors. In addition, another area that China is really good at is electrification, battery technology, which is somewhat different from self-driving cars. However, China is the world leader in battery and electric vehicles, and the integration of electric cars and self-driving cars is very rapid. Since many autonomous vehicles will run in desert areas, electric vehicles are also very meaningful for these areas. So I think that China is already the world leader in electric vehicles and it has the potential to become a world leader in the field of automated driving. This will bring some very interesting opportunities for self-driving cars. In the next 5-10 years, we will see many people starting to use self-driving cars in urban areas. These small tests can now be seen in small areas and cities such as Boston, USA, Phoniex and Pittsburgh, or Singapore. Expanded to the United States and many other cities in China. Even between cities with self-driving cars, we can begin to see convergence. If there are two neighbourhoods that are in close proximity to each other, we can even use automatic driving between the two. I think there are many exciting things to look forward to. In the next 5 to 10 years, many areas will not need to be manned. Although many roads, rural roads, and other places do not have self-driving cars, I think many people will start using self-driving cars within 5-10 years, just as many people today are as simple and universal as using network service or drip. |

"body": "Nowadays, the development momentum of automatic driving in the world is becoming more and more fierce, and talents in this field were once considered to be “Sweet Potatoes”.\n\nEven in the United States, the starting salaries of autonomous driving engineers have already exceeded $250,000, and the high price of our country's ‘opening price’ is even more embarrassing.\n\nTalent, talent, or talent! Three important things to say!\n\nWe are fully aware that a handful of technology geeks cannot support the continuous development of autonomous driving technology. More engineers need to join the research and development team of autonomous driving. However, experts with rich experience are very busy and how to do talent training. ?\n\nIn this regard, David Silver of the Udacity team feels deeply!\n\nAs a leader in the automated driving courses training on the Udacity team, David Silver told Xiao Bian about the beginning and end of his relationship with autonomous driving and its courses.\n\nA few years ago, David Silver, then a network software developer, was very interested in auto-driving while writing the website, but was suffering from no background in the development of robot software or auto-driving software.\n\n“Because I didn't have a foundation, I started to learn online courses on Udacity or other online courses. Then I finally got my own ability to work in an autopilot team at a California company,” said David Silver.\n\nAfter David Silver got the job offer, the Udacity team heard the news and learned about it.\n\n“They asked if I could go to Udacity to help create an autopilot course so that other people also have the opportunity to learn enough to be an autonomous driving engineer like me,” David Silver added.\n\nFor David Silver, being able to work in the field of automated driving is a very exciting thing. In addition, it is also important that Sebastian Thrun, the teacher responsible for the Udacity Autopilot project, is also the founder of Udacity and a former professor of computer science at Stanford University.\n\n\nPrior to founding Udacity, he started and led Google’s automated driving program, now known as Waymo. Before the Google project, he also led the Stanford University’s No. 1 autopilot team, which can be regarded as the “father of automatic driving”.\n\nDavid Silver was very excited to recall the scene: \"At Udaicty, I can work with him and teach those students what I learned before I became an autopilot engineer. This experience is simply fantastic.\"\n\nDavid Silver: Actually it depends on the difficulty of the course.\n\nFor Udacity's Automated Driving Micro-degree program, students must have basic engineering skills before starting the course.\n\nTherefore, we will conduct audits in the application process, such as mid-level programming capabilities, basic calculations, physics, and statistics.\n\nIn contrast, other courses offered in Udacity do not require any background and anyone can participate.\n\nFor example, a nano-degree program called \"Introduction to Driverlessness\" does not require students to have any knowledge or even programming experience. We will help them complete the preparation required to participate in the Automated Driving Nano-degree program so that they can further study and become self-driving automotive engineers.\n\nWe also have similar projects in web development and mobile development, where we can learn the necessary courses to boost our careers.\n\nCSDN: What skills do you think an automotive engineer in a qualified autopilot field needs?\n\nDavid Silver: In fact, automatic driving engineering is a very interesting direction, because it involves several different areas, including software engineering, mechanical engineering, as well as mathematics, statistics, and electrical engineering, so it needs to come from a lot of very different Skills in the field are added.\n\nBefore I started to study autopilot, I was still a network software developer and I never needed to know much about mechanical engineering or even statistics.\n\nHowever, if you want to become a self-driving car engineer, in addition to mastering all these different areas of knowledge, but also to combine this knowledge, this part is more difficult, which is one of the reasons why students come to Udacity to learn autopilot.\n\nIn the process, we will help them learn all the skills they need.\n\nThere are so many skills that you need to learn. How do you ensure that students have the skills that the industry needs?\n\nOn this issue, David Silver said that Udacity's curriculum is very focused on the needs of the actual work, so the work done is based on the skills that students need to know to succeed in their work.\n\nFor example, if you want to teach a course on autopilot, robotics, or deep learning or even web development, you first need to communicate with the hiring manager of the relevant company. For example, job seekers who ask questions and hope what kind of skills are available for interview work.\n\n“We focus on accomplishing these tasks and teaching these skills to students, which may differ from traditional university education. But at Udacity, as long as you learn what you need to know, you can succeed in your work. This approach allows us to provide education with a shorter cycle and more focused content,” said David Silver.\n\nXiaobian feels that what Udacity is doing is actually trying to link education with industry recruitment partners and focus on what people need to know in order to get higher pay when they choose a job. It can be called practical. Educational experience.\n\nIn addition to mastering all these different areas of knowledge, qualified autopilot engineers must also learn to integrate this knowledge together. This is a relatively difficult process. How to combine different but all related skills?\n\nIn response, David Silver stated that Udacity's self-driving program will last for nine months and each month will involve different topics in the field of automated driving.\n\nAccording to Xiaobian, after completing the initial course introduction, the project will introduce deep learning, as well as computer vision and sensory vision.\n\nSensory vision is how to use other sensors in addition to the camera on the car to understand the reality. It also involves some knowledge of positioning.\n\nThen we will introduce the motion planning or path planning, that is, how the car plans the driving route in reality.\n\nWith respect to system control, it may involve how the car translates computer commands that follow the path into actual behavior. In the next few months, students will learn more about one or several different topics.\n\nLastly, there will be a month of systematic discussion that will bring all the content together and participate in team tasks with other students worldwide, that is, send the code and apply the code to the actual self-driving car.\n\nOne thing to emphasize, Udacity has a self-driving car in California. Every student who wants to graduate from the project sends their code and places their code on a self-driving car.\n\n\nDavid Silver: We have chosen to localize some courses in China. In fact, we even started to set up courses specifically for China.\n\nFor example, we are developing a WeChat micro-degree course for WeChat developers. This is an education goal set up for Chinese software engineers.\n\nAt the same time, we also set up courses such as the Autopilot project and translated them into Chinese. We also studied many other projects at the same time. Because we saw a lot of students from China taking part in our courses, this phenomenon made us very excited.\n\nWe really need to observe how Chinese students interact with global students through the official community and how to share online social networking activities through other online forums, online sharing, or sharing questions online.\n\nUdacity is eager to work with Chinese students. In the future, we will create more exciting opportunities to carry out automatic driving activities.\n\nChina has many different science and technology themes and has made considerable progress in leading so many different areas of the world. It is a great honor to help Chinese students assess and improve their careers. In the future, they will have a deeper understanding of the Chinese market.\n\nIn addition, another important reason for coming to China this time is that we are working with Baidu to create free courses for Apollo. This is a typical example of Udacity's cooperation with industry partners to help learners prepare for practical work.\n\nAs we all know, Apollo is an open source automated driving platform that is operated by Baidu and auto-driving developers worldwide. Companies in many different fields are working with Apollo to automate their cars.\n\nWe are working with the Baidu team and other partners to consult with them and what capabilities Apollo engineers need to interview. Then we will carefully communicate with Baidu to understand how to make students become Apollo engineers to teach them what they need to learn.\n\nImportantly, whether it's for me or a partner like Baidu Apollo, the Apollo open source automated driving program that was built collaboratively and launched in summer is a good time to enter the auto-pilot industry in China.\n\nI am extremely excited about the future of Apollo.\n\nIn the past, due to the restrictions on trade secrets, the autopilot incident was once secretive. It showed that each company was secretive about its own business and did not want to share data and software related to others.\n\nNow, Apollo is opening up its own automated driving solutions to the world, providing more different groups with tools to use and enhancing their capabilities through Apollo.\n\nPerhaps we can predict that in the next five to ten years, the number of self-driving cars will increase, although we may still own and use ordinary cars. We may find that we have dedicated lanes for autonomous driving at high speeds. We may have real unmanned delivery trucks to help us deliver food quickly or assist in shopping, and of course we may also experience side effects.\n\nBut anyway, I think there is an open source system for self-driving cars, just like Apollo, which will help many different companies learn to adopt such software and apply it to different businesses. This scenario will be very interesting.\n\nWhether learning to become an autonomous driving engineer or supplementing some other skills, essentially belongs to the category of “lifelong learning”, and David Silver also has his own opinions.\n\n\n“I think Udacity’s service is ultimately lifelong learning. The idea of lifelong learning affects every stage of a career, so you must keep up to date with the latest situation. That's why we want to collaborate with Baidu Apollo to develop free courses, just to make Software engineers who have even become self-driving car engineers can learn about Apollo and apply it to their ongoing work,” said David Silver.\n\nHe mentioned to Xiao Bian that every time he heard a lot of engineers who had already entered the work of the autopilot team, they were very excited to participate in the Apollo course that we are building. We wanted to learn how to apply Apollo to our autopilot project. Happy.\n\nIn fact, think carefully, everyone's career will be the same.\n\nNow is no longer the time when you have finished studying four years of university and you don't need to learn anything again. Instead, everyone must learn new knowledge every year in order to maintain the best possible status.\n\nWhen it comes to autonomous driving, David Silver is not only an experienced technical training expert, but also has his own thinking about the development of the industry.\n\nRelevant data show that in the past year alone, about 265,000 Chinese citizens died as a result of automated piltions. We hope that this number will drop from 265,000 to nearly zero.\n\nOn the other hand, the biggest impact on automated driving is its safety. They will not really bother us, they will not be drunk, and they will not make many mistakes made by human drivers.\n\nIn addition, David Silver believes that another wonderful aspect of autonomous driving is that they will learn again from the mistakes they have made. When we examine our driver's license, we must learn from scratch, but every time we build a new self-driving car, it will learn all things learned in the past in advance, and experience will play an important role. effect.\n\n“I think another impact of autonomous driving is the enormous economic growth that can be brought. Realizing that 6% of China's GDP is actually huge, and that the US economy is growing at a relatively faster rate, it seems that even if autopilot does nothing, it will make everybody’s life better,” added David Silver.\n\nCSDN: In the face of the current situation of autonomous driving, most companies claim that their cars will be on the road by 2020 or 2021. Based on your understanding of this, which company will achieve this goal first?\nThe\nDavid Silver: Many companies have announced that they want to develop self-driving cars as quickly as possible. For the general public, it may be said that the company that has reached the Level 4 auto-driving car level is Waymo. So Waymo recently announced that they will have a completely driverless car in Araziona in the United States by the end of this year and be open to anyone. You, me, anyone should go to test drive.\n\nHowever, in addition to Waymo, there are many other companies that will also manufacture driverless cars in the near future. I think in the U.S., you'll see Uber and you'll see Cruz... They are all automating car tests, many of which are live test drives.\n\nIn China, you will see companies like Baidu or Pony.ai testing auto-driving cars. It is expected that in the next few years, you will see the self-driving cars developed by Chinese companies starting to really carry tourists. So I think that whoever gets the first place is still not sure, we can wait and see in the next few years.\n\nThe current scenario is that the landing of self-driving cars will expand outward in a very compact geographical area.\n\nNow we can drive this type of car in Araziona in Boston, but the range is limited to very small areas, perhaps 3030 kilometers. If you exceed this area, the car will not know what to do.\n\nHow fast is the expansion of this area? It may be from 3030 kilometers to 100100 kilometers and 200200 kilometers.\n\nHow many such areas will emerge?\n\nIn the next few years, we will begin to see more and more tests begin to land. It will not be sudden, but at a more gradual pace.\n\n\nDavid Silver: Of course, I think there are many different ways to start a self-driving car and you can achieve success.\n\nSome companies will use existing software such as Apollo to build outstanding business capabilities for them and engage in a variety of amazing things.\n\nBut we will also see creative solutions from other self-driving car startups, and big companies will pay attention to them. If those big companies think that such startups are very helpful for the development of autonomous cars, they will acquire these startups.\n\nOf course, there are also some self-driving car startups that will eventually fail and will close down.\n\nI think we can all see these results.\n\nOf course, it is also very much expected to see several startups bring innovative technology to bring a turning point, and to build a huge business.\n\nIts realization in establishing a self-driving car company is more attractive than building many other types of companies.\n\nAs far as autonomous driving is concerned, it is now more of an open industry. Many companies are actively building their own self-driving cars. I think small companies can fully establish themselves in this situation and establish truly large companies.\n\nAnd Baidu helps establish this model through Apollo, because it allows Chinese companies to focus on research where Apollo's open-source drive cars run into problems, and it really should be something they are really good at or are interested in.\n\nMany different technologies for self-driving cars in the future will be solved by the division of labor of many different companies, which is a bit like the current way of working in the automotive industry.\n\nAutomated manufacturing and sales are usually the responsibility of large companies, but automobiles require many other resources, many different suppliers, and different sizes.\n\nSo I think that in the future, big companies may be responsible for auto-driving cars. Small companies start to use self-driving cars to do interesting things.
