bodyThank you so much for sharing this amazing post with us! Have you heard about Partiko? It’s a really convenient mobile app for Steem! With Partiko, you can easily see what’s going on in the Steem community, make posts and comments (no beneficiary cut forever!), and always stayed connected with your followers via push notification! Partiko also rewards you with Partiko Points (3000 Partiko Point bonus when you first use it!), and Partiko Points can be converted into Steem tokens. You can earn Partiko Points easily by making posts and comments using Partiko. We also noticed that your Steem Power is low. We will be very happy to delegate 15 Steem Power to you once you have made a post using Partiko! With more Steem Power, you can make more posts and comments, and earn more rewards! If that all sounds interesting, you can: - Download Partiko Android at [Google Play](http://bit.ly/2SRFIta) - Or Download Partiko iOS on the [App Store](https://apple.co/2PcXkSd) Thank you so much for reading this message!

titleQuitting the articles…
body![InShot_20190109_205705359.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbJ9VvVFgYYQxg2CD2h7KgjxqBZBCGqawHwPenewgA4kj/InShot_20190109_205705359.jpg) More than two months ago, I’ve decided that I am going to write article each day. This one is 71st in a row and it will be the last one in this streak. I have to say, I was really surprised for all positive input which I’ve received over this time period. I am not sure, if I can express the happiness which I feel by words, when somebody tell me that he found my content useful. It is truly amazing. I probably never explained why did I start writing the articles at the first place. There are two main reasons. (1) I consider articulated speech, thinking and writing as most important ability to gain. As everything, it takes practise to develop and master this skill. When you write, you basically put your ideas into computer screen and then try to formulate them in a way which is understandable for your readers. You basically try to improve your way of thinking every time you do that. I see noticeable difference when it comes to expressing my thoughts. It is truly amazing that you can see this kind of results in the short period of time such 2,5 months. (2) Sometimes, I come across interesting content. Why not to share interesting learnings from it? I truly believe that these kind of articles might help somebody. So why not to write them if I can? So why am I quitting if I received some positive feedback and those two reasons above are still valid? One of the feedback which I received was that my articles are not that much connected to each other. And it is true. One day I wrote about money, second one about intermittent fasting and third one it was about some book. Some people were expecting that after the first “money” article I will continue on that topic, so it was unpleasant surprise when they found out that the next article was on completely different topic. And they have a point. So it made me thinking. Maybe it will be interesting to try to express the ideas in a bigger block. Something bigger than the article. Something like a book. So from tomorrow, instead of writing the article I will work on slightly bigger project, which I want to present when finished as a whole. I will do my best to create something amazing, which actually has the value and the potential to improve reader’s life. And I have to say, I am excited! From my perspective, is the goal worth pursuing. P.S.: I will definitely hire somebody for proof reading, so it should be less painful than reading the articles with gramma mistakes :-). Thanks for tremendous support so far and as always, thanks for reading!

titleMaking shitload of money quickly!
body![InShot_20190108_074111302.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRdQ1e76xmpZFS8HpLZeQfzJ2B9v2NkDhqUjNY1Pu3YDv/InShot_20190108_074111302.jpg) Do you know those videos on Youtube with titles like: “5 easy ways to build passive income” or “Do this and be successful” or “What does all successful people have in common” etc. I always kind of expected that after each video I will know the easy way, how to make shitload of money quickly. Surprisingly, that moment never came. Why though? We live in a world where it is much easier to get almost everything what you want, and much quicker compared to the past. You want food? Let’s order some! In an hour you have fresh pizza at your doorstep. You want a date? Swipe right and you have it! So we kind of expect (at least me) to get everything quickly, yet I failed to find a way how to get success, huge passive income stream or possession of well known business brand quickly. There is a possibility that I simply do not see the obvious way how to get those quickly. However, it is also possible, that those things listed above requires slow processes for getting them. Money is simply just an idea. The way, how we exchange value. Nothing more, nothing less. If you know how to manage them, you will get the access to more of them. There is no absence of money in this world. They are everywhere. They just didn’t happened to go through my pockets that much. Why? Well, probably I still can learn a lot how to manage them better. And learning that is a slow process. How do you learn? Well, you formulate the hypothesis and then find a way, how to test that hypothesis as cheaply and as quickly as possible. You learn something, then you formulate new hypothesis based on that learning and you go all over again. This process requires discipline, which is hard to maintain. It also requires a lot of power to fight self-doubts. There is a high chance that you will not find solution for your problem quickly. You may fail 100 times before you finally find it. That is also the number how many times you have to fight that voice in your head which tells you that what you do is stupid. In the end, this is 100th failure in the row and maybe you should stop trying… Is it easy to fight it? Hell, no! That’s why very few people make it in the end. Some things are simply hard to do. They require discipline and constant focus especially at the beginning. It gets easier over time though. If you do something for 1000 times, your brain helps you to automate the process. Like driving a car :-) And finally achieving those things may require patience. Which is something that I am desperately missing. Thanks for reading.

titleWhy waking up at 5am sucks in a good way
body![InShot_20190107_081311200.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmY89RknE3FNDWhwH33isiFuptrMP5UEUMAKmX4UMvd6nK/InShot_20190107_081311200.jpg) During the workdays, I wake up at 5am. I remember the moment, when I told my girlfriend that I am doing to do so. She had this “are you crazy?” look in her face. Anyway, I’ve started practising it. And then, couple of weeks later amazing thing happened. She started to wake up at 5am with me. :-) Why? Why actually to consider waking up at 5am if you have the freedom to stay in bed for longer? Because it sucks. As my favourite author Jordan B. Peterson claims in his book [12 rules for life](https://www.amazon.com/12-Rules-Life-Antidote-Chaos/dp/0345816021): “Life it suffering”. Every one of us will face multiple difficulties during the life. Death of family member is probably the one, which is inevitable. Hard breakups, financial problems, health issues are another good examples. It is stupid to think that you are the only person on this planet which has problems. The truth is, everybody has them. It is the essence of life as we know it. It is true though, that some people face more difficult problems than the others. What makes the huge difference between people is how well they prepared for facing those difficulties. Waking up at 5am sucks. And it should! Because of that, it is one of the activities, which helps you to prepare your mind for tough situations, because you face small one each damn morning! What waking up at 5am also does, it shows you the surface of your true potential. You do it for a month. Maybe even you did not believe that you are actually able to do it. But you did it. Slowly, you start to realise that you are competent person. Then amazing thing will happen. You realise that if you are able to do this, what else can you do? Can you do the same in different life areas? Soon, you practise amazing things across multiple life domains and you gain more power that you can imagine at this moment. Lastly, waking up at 5am gives you the sense of meaning. When you feel deep in your soul that you do the right thing, that is where meaning can be found. When you willingly sacrifice comfort of your bed in order to work on the best possible version of yourself from early morning, that is where meaning can be found. When you wake up early, because you can wait to face the problems which life brings into being, there is where meaning can be found. Then, when you will be lying on death bed, the only thing that you could potentially regret is not waking up at 4:30am. :-) Thanks for reading.

Even we know it is bad for us, we continue to eat it. It is so tasty, it is everywhere and it is really hard to resist. Sugar doesn’t only taste good. It is addictive. Consuming it or even thinking about it cause euphoric effect that triggers the production of dopamine in our brain a neurotransmitter, that controls pleasure and is responsible for reward motivated behaviours. Studies show sugar is as addictive as alcohol or cocaine. Around 80% of items in our groceries stores contains added sugar, so it is not only addictive, it is also hard to avoid. But, what we drink could be our biggest problem. Guzzle just one of these beverages (picture below) and you’ve more than filled your daily recommended sugar allowance. ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-06 o 11.34.49.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTjDguL9YzNRHn6Fd9dZbVsFSAES7vYVLCq3NENSmwyiD/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-06%20o%2011.34.49.png) Sugar are carbohydrates, which are roughly half glucose and half fructose. Consuming glucose makes your pancreas secret the hormone called insulin, which, along the other things, causes your body stores fat. Your liver deals with your fructose, but it can’t do it with the quantities which many of us consume today. It releases some of them as fat, but most of that backs up in our liver sells. Now you’ve got the condition called insulin resistance. You’re secreting more and more insulin and in response to all the carbs in your diet. The result? You get fatter and you get fat build up in your now inflamed arteries. Your body can no longer regulate itself. Eventually, it will kill you. Good news are, there are 4 simple things you can do to avoid an reverse the damage: (1) Avoid sugary drinks. All that glucose and fructose literally is an assault on your system. Give tea or carbonated water a try. Something besides processed sugar water. Why drink all your calories? (2) Read labels carefully. Yes, processed food are convenient, but often they are loaded with sugar and provide little nutrition. ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-06 o 11.52.05.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdZgWDkZMVH8qobkYFgc3y8JvZUUDJ9oenLvZVYK76YLt/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-06%20o%2011.52.05.png) (3) Exercise a little. It may not seem like much, but daily 30 minutes walk helps control your blood sugar and cravings. (4) Don’t trust processed low-fat foods. Guess what. That missing fat is replaced by salt and sugar. And your body just converts added sugar into fat, after you eat. titleBook review #1: Can’t hurt me by David Goggins
body![InShot_20190105_192219900.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRa5p2FVwHuPabotviKwKTEugjoCtoEeokxAJPiA76zUp/InShot_20190105_192219900.jpg) First time I came across Goggins on Youtube. He was a host on [Joe Rogan Experience podcast](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzQUP1qoWDoEbmsQxvdjxgQ). I have to say, that some of his stories sounds surreal: running 100 miles without further experience of running a marathon, doing 4025 pull ups in 17 hours (Guinness World Record), or doing some more “common” thing like becoming a US Navy SEAL. When I spot his book called [Can’t hurt me](https://www.amazon.com/Cant-Hurt-Me-Master-Your/dp/1544512287) in recommendations section in my Audible account, I did not think twice. I highly recommend you to read it. It is the basically the story of how one of the toughest mind on this planet came into being. Do you want to build mental toughness? This book is a “must read”. Anyway, here are some interesting lessons from the book. Lesson 1: Finding your identity. When Goggins was on a 24-hour race covering 100 miles, he said it was the highest level of pain he had ever gone through in his life. Many times during the race he asked him self: “Why are you doing this to yourself, Goggins?” What he came up with was a very powerful answer: “Because you are one hard motherfucker.” That is his identity, and throughout the book it’s what he talks about. He does everything in alignment with that identity. Identity is the greatest driving force in human nature. — Tony Robbins Similarly, in the book Total Recall, Arnold Schwarzenegger says in order to be able to do whatever you want to do in life, first you have to decide who you want to become. Then decide what you need to do in order to become that person. So it’s not about starting with what you want to have. You have to start by identifying who you want to be, and that is the most powerful force in human nature, as Tony Robbins says. Eventually you will have what you want to have. Lesson 2: 40% rule. Goggins claims, that we all do have a “governor” in our head. It is basically the voice, which says that you have enough, or that you cannot do another push-up or sit-up or you should not work that hard. In some sense, this voice is trying to protect you from the pain which you might feel during the formerly listed activities. According Goggins, when this voice arise, you roughly pass 40% of your true capabilities (hence the name 40% rule). You probably experienced this before. Did you ever work out and suddenly your favourite song started to play? Have you done more reps than set before? Goggis is not saying that we should always aim for 100% of our capabilities. In fact, you can injure yourself badly if you do this without any training. But, we should bear in mind that there is still plenty of power which can be accessed within us, when your “governor” is screaming: “STOP, NO MORE!” Lesson 3: Taking souls. Goggins went through hell week (toughest training of US military, which you have to complete in order to become a SEAL). During the hell week, instructors try to beat down and break trainees so only best of the best make it through. Goggins employed the tactic of “taking souls” where he would literally try to destroy the souls of instructors. He knew, that all those instructors already completed hell week and they did not enjoy the single moment of this torture. So, he motivated his crew to smash the training as if they were enjoying it. They were shouting on instructors: “You can’t break the boat crew 2!” sending the message that there is no point on making things harder, because they are bringing the fight. Goggis knew that those instructors were suffering in their hell week. The fact that they pass it is one of their main accomplishments in their life. It is probably the reason why they are so tough and self-confident. Showing them you can go through that hell with the smile on your face? You literally take the soul of that instructor. Lesson 4: Callous your mind. Human beings have a tendency to choose the path of least resistance. We shy away from the pain and suffering. By choosing the way, where you face suffering you are callousing your mind. You are building mental toughness. When you go through something really painful, you know for the rest of your life what are you capable of. After that, there is much less things which has the power to harm you. This is similar to view of Jordan B. Peterson. You should be the most reliable person on your fathers funeral. Bad things happen in life. You better be prepared when it comes to face them. So, what do you thing? Would this book be a great read for you? Let me know in comments! Thanks for reading!

titleDoes it matter when you eat? part 2
body![InShot_20190104_075204066.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVMWJJKrLNJb3d1UxeZPW18ZHyhfyv7ro5EFp2tWK31pc/InShot_20190104_075204066.jpg) Yesterday, I finished the [article](https://medium.com/@lukasbihary/does-it-matter-when-you-eat-1866da84bc5e) about intermittent fasting with a promise, that today I will show you how scientists test their claims, which you can find in that article. As stated yesterday, somebody who eats within 10 hours has much better circadian rhythm whereas somebody who eats within 15 hours may not. To test this idea scientist brought two identical groups of mice, born in the same parents, raised in the same room, same age. One group of mice got standard Western diet to eat whatever they wanted. And then the second group was trained to eat the same number of calories from the same food, but they had to eat everything within 8 to 12 hours at nighttime, when they supposed to eat. They measured the food and mice carefully every week for almost 18 weeks. At the end of 18 weeks, the first group of mice, who ate randomly, were obese, where at the same time, they had a host of different diseases — they were really morbidly sick where the second group that ate within 8 to 12 hours were completely healthy. But what is more surprising is this: If we take those morbidly sick mice and give them the same diet, same number of calories, and they have to eat only within 8 to 10 hours, they become healthy. This was really earth-shattering eureka moment for Dr. Satchin Panda and his team, because for the first time in history of nutrition science, they found that when we eat is as important as what or how much we eat. Well then, how do we translate this to humans? First thing they wanted to know is when do people eat? To do that, they started a new study, where people usually signed up for the study at mycircadianclock.org and then since people love to take pictures, they asked them to take pictures of every single thing they eat or drink and they do the rest. When the pictures come to their server, they add them on a timeline, so that is easy for them to figure out when people eat. People continue taking pictures for 2–3 weeks, so they can take nice snapshot of their food life during the weekdays and weekends. As you can see for this particular person (picture below), he or she eats very randomly throughout the day. And if you look at the weekday and weekend pattern, those are very random. And if you combine weekday and weekend, there is another interesting thing that comes up. It appears as if person is on the East coast during the weekdays and and comes to West coast on the weekend, which is also very bad for our circadian clock. ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.13.50.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWwd9sE2UxgcZan8yS5cP185r87oXEa9NJaH2XxQh8h82/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.13.50.png) ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.19.07.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVgFXebfLPFio91xaNNCi2h3UbFLr4H3Y8b3D7rTRF4Ro/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.19.07.png) Now if you combine this data and plot it, as if we were looking at the clock, then you can see that this person eats almost around the clock. And he is not an outlier, actually. ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.24.43.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRtXhQ4b2M4Upc3LtTBZbcGBTY7SwS2Lyq4FjLBE33rp5/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.24.43.png) If we look at first 150 people who had signed up, nearly 50% of adults who actually have regular 8 to 5 jobs, eat for 15 hours or longer. So that means, if they have their first bite at 7:00 at the morning, the last bite or last sip of wine happens at 9:00 pm or later. ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.24.47.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmeGHxASz8iAmSMbUGLxc3zaPuep685dBhYVYLra7sZszm/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.24.47.png) What is interesting is, if we feed mice even healthy diet, and they eat for 15 hours or longer, then slowly they become overweight, and they get all the diseases. That is why, scientists asked very simple question. They told that people who were eating for 15 hours and were little overweight and ask them to eat whatever they want within ten hours of their own choosing, and they wanted to see, what happens to them. So within 3 to 4 months these people actually boosted up their circadian rhythm and they lost their excessive body weight that they had. ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.35.08.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWzmkks7kKgKv4C6YJnBxb4LEeEBLprcasGMWCxUjph1C/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.35.08.png) And over the last one year, there are thousands of people of people from all over the world, who are signing up either for this study or doing this by them selfs. They try to eat all their food somewhere between 8, 10 or 11 hours and when they do that after a few weeks, they are truly amazed by the untapped potential of the healing power of circadian rhythm. Almost all of them loose little bit of weight, but as they continue, they actually feel much better, more energetic throughout the day. They sleep much better at night and their mood is much better and they are very sharp. And slowly after months, they suffer less from different diseases of the gut, heart, immune system, diabetes and even some form of mental diseases. So is the intermittent fasting something, that you will give a shot? Let me know in comments below ;-) Thanks for reading!

One group of mice got standard Western diet to eat whatever they wanted. And then the second group was trained to eat the same number of calories from the same food, but they had to eat everything within 8 to 12 hours at nighttime, when they supposed to eat.\n\nThey measured the food and mice carefully every week for almost 18 weeks. At the end of 18 weeks, the first group of mice, who ate randomly, were obese, where at the same time, they had a host of different diseases — they were really morbidly sick where the second group that ate within 8 to 12 hours were completely healthy.\n\nBut what is more surprising is this: If we take those morbidly sick mice and give them the same diet, same number of calories, and they have to eat only within 8 to 10 hours, they become healthy.\n\nThis was really earth-shattering eureka moment for Dr. Satchin Panda and his team, because for the first time in history of nutrition science, they found that when we eat is as important as what or how much we eat.\nWell then, how do we translate this to humans?\n\nFirst thing they wanted to know is when do people eat? To do that, they started a new study, where people usually signed up for the study at mycircadianclock.org and then since people love to take pictures, they asked them to take pictures of every single thing they eat or drink and they do the rest.\n\nWhen the pictures come to their server, they add them on a timeline, so that is easy for them to figure out when people eat. People continue taking pictures for 2–3 weeks, so they can take nice snapshot of their food life during the weekdays and weekends.\n\nAs you can see for this particular person (picture below), he or she eats very randomly throughout the day. And if you look at the weekday and weekend pattern, those are very random. And if you combine weekday and weekend, there is another interesting thing that comes up. It appears as if person is on the East coast during the weekdays and and comes to West coast on the weekend, which is also very bad for our circadian clock.\n\n![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.13.50.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWwd9sE2UxgcZan8yS5cP185r87oXEa9NJaH2XxQh8h82/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.13.50.png)\n![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.19.07.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVgFXebfLPFio91xaNNCi2h3UbFLr4H3Y8b3D7rTRF4Ro/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.19.07.png)\n\n\nNow if you combine this data and plot it, as if we were looking at the clock, then you can see that this person eats almost around the clock. And he is not an outlier, actually.\n\n![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.24.43.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRtXhQ4b2M4Upc3LtTBZbcGBTY7SwS2Lyq4FjLBE33rp5/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.24.43.png)\n\nIf we look at first 150 people who had signed up, nearly 50% of adults who actually have regular 8 to 5 jobs, eat for 15 hours or longer. So that means, if they have their first bite at 7:00 at the morning, the last bite or last sip of wine happens at 9:00 pm or later.\n\n![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.24.47.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmeGHxASz8iAmSMbUGLxc3zaPuep685dBhYVYLra7sZszm/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.24.47.png)\n\nWhat is interesting is, if we feed mice even healthy diet, and they eat for 15 hours or longer, then slowly they become overweight, and they get all the diseases.\n\nThat is why, scientists asked very simple question. They told that people who were eating for 15 hours and were little overweight and ask them to eat whatever they want within ten hours of their own choosing, and they wanted to see, what happens to them. So within 3 to 4 months these people actually boosted up their circadian rhythm and they lost their excessive body weight that they had.\n\n![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-04 o 7.35.08.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWzmkks7kKgKv4C6YJnBxb4LEeEBLprcasGMWCxUjph1C/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-04%20o%207.35.08.png)\n\nAnd over the last one year, there are thousands of people of people from all over the world, who are signing up either for this study or doing this by them selfs. And slowly after months, they suffer less from different diseases of the gut, heart, immune system, diabetes and even some form of mental diseases.\n\nSo is the intermittent fasting something, that you will give a shot? Let me know in comments below ;-)\n\nThanks for reading!",

titleDoes it matter when you eat?
body![InShot_20190103_091419080.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVsJRHChDaZy95s2diQqDQfAqJsdypDZ4dicrxVf13xCe/InShot_20190103_091419080.jpg) Intermittent fasting is something what I practise for quite some time (1,5 year or so) and today is a day when I decided to go deeper in the research to find scientific benefits of this way of eating, to expend my list of benefits of this method beyond just I feel better and sharper than ever before. Here is what I found and learn during this morning. I am going to start with explaining something called circadian rhythm (or near-24hour rhythms). To adapt to the 24-hour light-dark cycle on our planet, almost every plant and animal has circadian rhythms that are controlled by something called circadian clocks. These are actually encoded in our DNA. How do we know, that these clock are in-built? If you lock me inside the apartment with no clue about outside time, then my circadian clock will make me to go to sleep around 10:00pm. I’ll go to deep sleep around 2:00pm and anticipating waking up, my body will warm up around 4:00am in the morning. Almost every single gene in our body turns on and off at different times of the day, even when I am closed in the apartment with no knowledge of an outside world. (Same applies for every single hormone and brain chemical). So to have this rhythms is to actually have health. It does matter also when we eat. After our first breakfast, our body absorbs enough carbohydrates and uses it to fuel our body. At the same time, it saves little bit of nutrient as fat. As we continue, at lunch and dinner the same process continues. And after the last dinner, last bite a body goes low on carbs and at the same time circadian clock cranks up the morning fat. (see the picture below) And after few hours, the clock turns into reset and repair rejuvenation mode. That means that it turns on enzymes that will break down cholesterol and toxins. ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-03 o 7.32.46.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTBoiNU5EnZShPjDQVFL1dH7pNk8VWY71U3DtUh9z5WvU/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-03%20o%207.32.46.png) It also turns on the mechanisms to repair the DNA that we have damaged during the daytime. And a lot of cells that are damaged on our stomach lining or our skin lining are also replaced with healthy new cells, so that allergy-causing chemicals or bacteria cannot get into our body. So after 12 or 16 hours of fasting, when we eat our next breakfast, the cycle of nurture, rejuvenation continues. Now imagine that you delay that last bite late into the night, in this case that this daily rhythm in metabolism becomes shallow. There is not enough time to burn fat and there is not enough time to break down the toxins and cholesterol etc. (picture below) ![Snímka obrazovky 2019-01-03 o 7.33.26.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcTkiMX8KikvxA6ALmvPtDAUwVuJjACua5p8VsqBiSq28/Sni%CC%81mka%20obrazovky%202019-01-03%20o%207.33.26.png) So you can imagine that somebody who eats within 10 hours has much better circadian rhythm whereas somebody who eats within 15 hours may not. Tomorrow, I will tell you how scientist tested this idea, so stay tuned if you are interested. Thanks for reading so far :-)

titleYou know nothing Jon Snow
body![InShot_20190102_082615960.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQ7YmzNNuLoFGbTJPPfAdwVD8WTGyr5Dk36rgHQykcsNx/InShot_20190102_082615960.jpg) Yesterday I watch a documentary together with my girlfriend called [How the Beatles changed the world](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6170130/). Thank God for Netflix! As 23 old guy from Slovakia I have to admit, till yesterday I knew the Beatles only as four guys in suits singing the songs which I didn’t like much. Turns out, their story is much more than that. (If you are aware of the Beatles same as me two days ago, I highly recommend to watch the document.) After the documentary, I started to question my self. How is it possible that I am 23 years old and I had no idea about 99% of things mentioned in that document? They are probably most famous band of all time. It is fascinating, how little we know. (Seems like you’ve got reminded that more often in the moments, when you think you finally know something.) This article is not really about the Beatles and their story (even though it is fantastic!). It was to point out how many amazing stories and knowledge we all possess collectively. It just happened that we’ve discovered one of them yesterday. I do think more and more that knowledge is really deadly weapon when it comes to being successful in life. Add articulation for expressing that knowledge saved in your brain and you probably become unstoppable. Elon Musk knows how to sent rockets in the space, build Tesla, The Boring company and other project in the same 24 hours a day that all of us has. Jeff Bezos knows how to build the e-commerce empire where you can buy basically anything from anywhere in the world. Surprisingly he has also only 24 hours a day accessible as all of us has. Yet, most of us whine about lack of time for reading a book or do some regular physical exercise even though we know it would be great for us to do something like that. However, maybe it is not the lack of time which cause disability of performing things which we should or want to do, maybe it is simply lack of knowledge how to execute them all during a day. So maybe it is not that bad idea to stay curious for the rest of your life. Maybe you will learn something great that empowers you to do all those things which you always wanted to do. You never know what information will change your life forever. It may happen that document about the Beatles can remind you that you truly know nothing therefore you should stay humble and open minded. Learn things. Learn how to use them. And watch your self changing for the good. Thanks for reading.

There are many which made huge impact on me. Today, I would like to share with you the one, which forever chained my view on things which I need. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgBpyNsS-jU Quick recap, in case you did not watch the video. Gentleman (in the video) was making six figures in his twenties. He was buying a lot of stuff for that money, which supposably should make him happy. But he wasn’t. So one day, he and his friend has a great idea. Pack everything what he possessed into cardboard boxes and for next 21 days, he could only take out things, which he needed to use. After 21 days 80% of his things was sitting in his apartment, untouched in the boxes. During his twenties he was basically exchanging his time for money which he spent on things which he did not use. After watching this I told my self that maybe it would not be that stupid idea to own only things, which add value to my life. Anything else is probably useless. Today I went through my wardrobe and I was so surprised how many clothes were still there! Together with my girlfriend we put 2 bags of clothes away and couple of other things (And I was labeling my self as minimalist already). We often buy things not because we need them but because it is expected from us. Or we will look cool in them. We often exchange the possession of those thing for our time which we can invest into things, which we truly value the most. Do we truly want to do that? Thanks for reading. Ou and don’t forget to check out my [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/bright.lukas/). You can find there some moments from my so-called minimalistic lifestyle :-)

titleMy wish for 2019
body![InShot_20181231_061749529.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdY1LgNPBjXouxjvs3a4XiA3FetuTHFzZUbsj9LWUv9tz/InShot_20181231_061749529.jpg) I truly hope, that 2018 was truly great for you and 2019 would be even better. It always feels like a new beginning, right? Like entering new era. At this day, I used to write down my new years resolution, but this year will be different. Here is why: I learned the best time for making a change is “right now”. I don’t mean this particular day, however I do mean any particular “now” which you are just experiencing. Think about it. If you find out that your car has flat tyre, should you wait for new year to come to replace it? Why should you treat your life differently? If there is some flaw in your behaviour, which you know you can erase, why not doing it right now? Doubts and fear might be a good reason for not doing it. It is really interesting that these two factors has the power to stop even best of the best. It make sense though. We are afraid of the unknown. We know what will happen if we pursue the old habit. We most likely get exact same outcome which we get thousand of times before. But we cannot expect to experience any significant change in our lives when executing good old habits. They are actually the reason which got us to the point, where we are right now. If you are going to ask for a raise, and you never did it before, you will feel lot of doubt and fear simply because you just entered unknown territory. You are most likely to fail when doing it for a first time, so be prepared for this outcome too. Why should you do it then? Because it is the only way how the unknown can become known. It is the only way, how you can become more competent person (that means able to do more). It is the only way, how you can enlarge your circle of influence. Embrace your doubts. Embrace your fear. They are great indicator for your potential growth. Because of this, I wish that you will experience a lot of it in 2019. I hope you will experience a lot of failures, because experiencing those means that you are pursuing something previously unknown for you. I wish you that you will struggle with all your soul in behalf of your goals (I hope they are for the good). Lastly, I wish you to become the strongest and most competent version of yourself. Make 2019 unforgettable.

titleCan you become hyper competent person?
body![InShot_20181230_114527858.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPodXXpCPVzKRAEuMASd5GoXhfCpf4iaZnc6zZVtjQkvq/InShot_20181230_114527858.jpg) Yesterday, I wrote an [article](https://medium.com/@lukasbihary/read-great-books-def3cd5c6589), where Jordan Peterson spoke to Harvard students. Another question which he got asked was. “What should we do, after we graduate?” Here is his brilliant response: Stop unnecessary suffering. That is your calling. If you graduate articulated and powerful, there will be people giving you so many opportunities, you wont even be able to keep up with them. I worked with many hyper competent people across multiple domains in my life and I can tell some very interesting things about hyper competent people. Firstly, they are not selfish and they are not greedy. One of the great pleasures of their life is to find people who have the capacity to also be hyper competent and to open doors for them as rapidly as they possibly can be opened. They delight in that. If you are accomplished person there is very few things that are more meaningful that to find people, who have the possibility to be accomplished and say: “Hey look, here is an opportunity for you. Go out there man and kill it.” Then they go out there and kill it and you think: “Right on man… Here is another opportunity!” They go out there and nail that one too! But we think that these people are holding their wealth and don’t want to share it with anyone. That is absolute complete rubbish. The world is always desperately short of people who can think and speak. The highest faculty of human being is articulated speech. It is divine faculty and there is nothing more powerful that that. There is nothing to be even in the same league. Put yourself together. That is what everybody wants. It is also what you want. You know it. It’s what women wants from men. It’s what men wants from women. It’s like to be who you could be. Go out there and fix things up. There are lot’s of things which needs to be fixed up. And what you want to do is to burden yourself with so much responsibility, that you can barely stand. And then you would be stronger trying to lift it up. And you won’t be asking, what should I do with my life, or what is the meaning of life or any of that. It will be self evident. At minimum you can say: There is more suffering in the world that it should be and I can probably do something about that. And you can do something about that. So go and do something about that! And then there would be less suffering in the world. And then when you are 80 you can look back at your life and say: Well, there is less suffering in the world, then there would have been if I wont existing. You don’t even have to have sense of ultimate destiny or any theistic belief to regard that as positive good. Bill Gates is a great example. That guy is after 5 major diseases at the same time. He is trying to wipe out polio he is trying to wipe out malaria… Well, what should you do with your life? Take a look at Bill Gates and see if you can do something like that. That would be good. Thanks for reading. Last two articles were my notes from video below. I highly encourage you to watch it and to listen carefully. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QObAkF1_6CE&t=3s&index=2&list=LLUNivgm-3EEYT5C8Gmfw0HQ

His respond? Read great books. Really man! You’ve got this 4 year period that has been carved out from your lives by society. It gives you high quality identity: University student and freedom at the same time. And you’re not going to get that again in your life. You’ve got this unbelievable libraries that are full of writing of people who were intelligent and articulate beyond comprehension. You can go there, and you can learn all this. Why should you learn it? Get a job? Get a good grates, or get a degree? All of that is nonsense! The reason why you come to University to be educated is there is nothing more powerful than somebody who is articulate and who can think and speak. It is power! And I mean power of the best sort. It is authority, an influence and respectability and competence. So you come to university to craft your highest skill. And your highest skill is going to be found in articulated speech. If you are master at formulating your arguments, you win everything. Better than that, when you win everything everybody around you wins too. Consider your transformation to something approximating the logos. It means you shine the light to the whole world. Well, there is nothing more exciting to do than that! There is nothing better that you can possibly do. If you have any sense, everything what you want to do would be for the good. Because there is nothing more compelling, meaningful or useful in combating tragedy of life to struggle with all your soul in behalf of the good. Learn to think. Learn to speak. Learn to read. It makes you an individual superpower. Thanks for reading.

And I mean power of the best sort. It is authority, an influence and respectability and competence. So you come to university to craft your highest skill. And your highest skill is going to be found in articulated speech. If you are master at formulating your arguments, you win everything. Better than that, when you win everything everybody around you wins too.\n\nConsider your transformation to something approximating the logos. It means you shine the light to the whole world. Well, there is nothing more exciting to do than that! There is nothing better that you can possibly do.\n\nIf you have any sense, everything what you want to do would be for the good. Because there is nothing more compelling, meaningful or useful in combating tragedy of life to struggle with all your soul in behalf of the good.\n\nLearn to think. Learn to speak. Learn to read. It makes you an individual superpower.\n\nThanks for reading.",

In my humble opinion, the single most important ability when it comes to building relationship with others, is ability to listen. People are often so surprised, when somebody gives them their full attention that they might tell you amazing things. Their hopes, their dreams. How the things could be if… And those conversations are truly fulfilling. “When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new.” — The Dalai Lama Imagine that you are in conversation with your girlfriend. She is telling you that there is something wrong with your attitude. You listened to her objections and now is your turn to tell her how she is wrong somewhere in her argumentation. Or is it? I see two options here: (1) You tell her, what you already know and if you are more articulated in your speech than her, you probably win the argument. (2) You ask further questions, while your ego screams:”What the fuck are you doing? You are right here!” and try to get her perspective on the problem and then you might learn something which you didn’t know before. This option is much more uncomfortable and humiliating than the first one. But what you get in return might be priceless. Of course, this is much much harder to put into practise. My advice would be watching yourself closely in every damn conversation which you have during a day. For me, this is still big work in progress. So, how your next conversation with somebody will look like? Are you going to listen and potentially learn something new or are you going to be right? Thanks for reading. (And check my [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/bright.lukas/). I am building interesting audience over there :-))

title619 days without alcohol. Why?
body![InShot_20181227_074318299.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmSNi4M3B8zY1HFoCEggQyVNM54uyYGyBSpSUos37Kc9Ls/InShot_20181227_074318299.jpg) There was a day in my life, where I’ve decided to quit drinking for good. I was playing with this idea for quite some time, but I did not quit till 17 of April 2017. Maybe I was waiting for some kind of final impulse (which came on that day). What happened? Day before I’ve got drunk. Then I payed really close attention to my thoughts. I did not like what I saw. Who I was under this condition. Anyway, I do not want to speak in depth why I’ve decided to quit, rather what I learned and why I want to persist with habit of not drinking. Reason for persisting #1: I have goals. I would say that some people may consider them as crazy ones. I’ve got to the point, where I question every damn activity which I do during a day. And I constantly ask my self: Is this something what brings me closer to my goal, or am I walking the opposite direction from them? For me, alcohol is definitely something which sends me the opposite direction from my goals. Even after first shot, I know that I am not as conscious as I could be, my thinking is slower than usual and logical thinking fades little bit away. When I did couple of those shots, next day I’ve end up with hangover, which is not really productive. Reason for persisting #2: There is an alternative for social life. There are numerous concerns which rise after telling somebody that I do not drink. How do you rest? Are you having fun? First thing first, I was sober while experiencing one of the best parties in my life. Sure, first one was freaking weir. As everything for the first time. If the only way for partying was being hammered, and then you go sober for the first time, it is the unknown territory. Of course you will feel weir. After 3–5 times anxiety starts to fade away. And then you have fun and there is nothing which would lower your consciousness, which makes those parties even better than before. However what I really enjoy these days, are deep meaningful conversations. When two people talk about their dreams and vision: how the world could be, if… then it’s truly magical. When you are in this kind of conversation, you want to pay close attention to whoever you listening to. Alcohol does not help with that at all. Reason for persisting #3: Freedom. This one is probably the most contra-intuitive. How can I be free, if I do not allow my self to have even one beer? (which I really like btw) What does freedom mean to you? For me it is freely choosing any sort of actions and ability to follow the,. If you decide not drinking for a year, and you find yourself in a bar after a month, are you truly free? Thanks for reading. And check out my [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/bright.lukas/) if you did not already. I am about to build huge community over there, so I will finish couple more articles with this proposal. Sorry for that :-)
