      "body": "Penulis : Merlina L - Id Blockchain Network \nEditor : Danny H - Blockchain zoo \n\nApa itu blockchain?\nKenapa harus ada blockchain?\nApa hubugannya dengan bitcoin dan cryptocurrency lainnya?\nBlockchain adalah teknologi yang ada sejak awal 1990-an akan tetapi baru populer baru-baru ini dikarenakan salah satu teknologi mata uang digital menggunakan blockchain.\n\nBitcoin adalah contoh implementasi blockchain public yg paling dikenal masyarakat\nDilihat dari sejarah terjadinya bitcoin karena ada seseorang yang bernama satoshi nakamoto merasa dicurangi oleh bank dan institusi sejenis karena proses yang susah untuk mencairkan uang-nya di bank.\nSatoshi Nakamoto sampai sekarang tidak diketahui keberadaanya setelah implementasi bitcoin sukses beliau menghilang; sampai sekarang tidak ada yang tahu apakah dia hanya 1 orang atau sekelompok orang yang mengerti mengenai, teknologi, matematika dan juga ekonomi.\n\nDi post ini akan dibahas mengenai yang pertama : Blockchain Public          \nBlockchain ini sendiri terbagi menjadi 3 :\n1.   Blockchain Publik\n2.   Blockchain Private\n3.  Distributed Ledger Tecnology (DLT)\n\nApa itu Blockchain? \n\n\nSebagian orang menganggap bahwa bitcoin dapat didapatkan dengan Cuma-Cuma akan tetapi hal ini SALAH BESAR, dikarenakan: \n\n1.       Untuk mendapatkan bitcoin komputer harus menyelesaikan sebuah formula matematika yang dibuat oleh satoshi nakamoto dan ada biaya yang harus dikeluarkan (jadi bukan gratis ya!) ; orang-orang yang melakukan aktivitas ini disebut sebagai miner / penambang.\n\n2.       Secara teknologi aman karena melalui proses enkripsi : SHA 256 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHA-2) \n\n3.       Bagian yang paling penting bitcoin tidak memiliki pusat penyimpanan data karena semua orang yang menjadi penambang adalah bagian dari ekosistem yang selanjutnya di sebut node\n\n\n4.       Node-node ini tersebar di seluruh dunia semakin banyak bitcoin yang beredar semankin banyak Node yang beroperasi hal ini yang disebut decentralized (tidak terpusat)\n\n\n5.    Ada kemungkinan replikasi block akan tetapi  Block-nya tidak bisa dibobol karena rolling hash: jika mau membobol 1 blok maka harus membobol seluruh blockchain di mayoritas nodes yang ada.  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_hash) \n \nSimple-nya blockchain  adalah suatu rantaian di mana setiap anak rantai berisi sekumpulan data (transaksi). Rantaian ini direplikasi di setiap node, agar mereka bisa saling memeriksanya. Setiap anak rantai dienkripsi berdasarkan isi anak rantai sebelumnya. Maka untuk mengubah data di dalam satu anak rantai, seluruh rantaian harus didekripsi, diubah lantas di enkripsi ulang, dalam waktu yang singkat, di dalam jumlah node yang cukup banyak untuk mendapatkan lebih dari 50% penguasaan jaringannya.\n\nDalam kata lain... mustahil. Seperti ilustrasi di bawah ini:\n\n\n\n\nKenapa Bitcoin menjadi kontroversi?\nHarga melambung dikarenakan bebrapa perusahaan dan pemerintahan melihat potensi bitcoin sebagai alat penyimpanan nilai untuk masa depan (preserve value).\n\nYang menjadi kontroversi sekarang ini karena pemerintah di Indonesia melarang bitcoin sebagai alat pembayaran, hal ini terjadi karena ada pengertian yang salah mengenai posisi bitcoin dan teknologi blockchain yang tidak dijelaskan dengan benar. Untuk mendapatkan bitcoin komputer harus menyelesaikan sebuah formula matematika yang dibuat oleh satoshi nakamoto dan ada biaya yang harus dikeluarkan (jadi bukan gratis ya!) ; orang-orang yang melakukan aktivitas ini disebut sebagai miner / penambang.\n\n2.       Secara teknologi aman karena melalui proses enkripsi : SHA 256 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHA-2) \n\n3.       "body": "It’s been quite sometimes I didn’t write an article and I would like to publish a basic article about blockchain, as of now-days people feel cool when we mentioned “blockchain” , “bitcoin”, “cryptocurrency”, “ICO”, “Smart contract” those are 5 keywords that fill in technology headlines in almost every major tech news. It’s always draw people attentions, before we going to far let’s draw a line to discuss about it. Blockchain itself are not new technology as we expose to these technology everyday to make sure our lives run pretty smoothly.\n\nWhy Bitcoin and blockchain ?\n\nFrankly speaking the idea of bitcoin and blockchain created because there’s a person name “satoshi nakamoto” who’s dissapointed with current banking and credit scoring system that being build just to serve high and influential net worth individuals. So he created a system called bitcoin a ledgers that are distributed running in several different nodes (a computer or server) random and nobody knows the locations except the initial creators. Because of the randomness of nodes that confirms the transaction the system itself Byzantine fault-tolerant asset registry to store and transfer the chained proof-of-work solutions.\n\nNobody will be able to replicate the system even if they want to the effort were too massive and expensive, it’s not worth it to attack bitcoin network.\n\nNobody knows nakamoto whether it’s only 1 person or a group of people because the bitcoin created following macro and micro economy principle.\n\nAs a person who works and learned about financial system we currently depend on there’s so many flaws in our financial systems :\n\n1. if there’s massive data breach the customers will be the victims (be it personal or a corporation’s),\n\n2. Hackers stolen money it would be the victim lost (either a person or corporations),\n\n3. Bank Default or bankruptcy would be the customers and workers lost\n\n4. Worse case inflation because of the government didn’t control it and corrupt politician taking international loans for their own personal use cause the economy doesn’t move would be the people loss\n\nBecause of the reason above there’s lot of people that called themselves “cyberpunks” would like to liberate and creating a system that created by people for the people of course these people should be someone or a groups of people with credibility.\n\nSo how come someone without a face could be trusted ?\n\nBecause of the system itself guarantee the creator motives and if today bitcoin price went up high because there’s people who tried to test the system and they failed to get in and many blockchain applications develop on top of it.\n\nThe people who involves in bitcoin and blockchain were able to do test and trial but still being stay within framework and guidelines created by “satoshi nakamoto”.\n\nBlockchain itself divided into 2 categories :\n\n    Public blockchain : where everyone’s allowed to participate by following certain conditions\n    Private blockchain : Only certain parties listed could participate\n\nRules of the games\n\nBefore we are going further let’s imagine blockchain as LEGO, we want to build a castle using LEGO blocks so we need to find the right block to create castle shape same rules apply to blockchain there’s rules need to be fit in before the chains could be created.\n\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmU1Jq6LduRPEEqeJKRJQF77Ttm2kQkLtHxKdLLdRNFc5A/how-blockchain-works.png)\n\nLet’s deep dive to Public blockchain first the rules of the chains were determined by the consensus (51% from the total of people that already in the chains itself) and for private from the majority shareholders.\n\nFor people who works outside tech and not tech savvy those words might sound too geek and not common, but the example of blockchain were present in our day to day lives.\n\nFor example like vlogger, instagram celebrity or anyone who use video platform to publish their everyday lives even blog use it to make sure their followers know about their update , what product they are using , this is the example of the easiest distributed ledgers that ever present in the social media. Hot wallet : A wallet that always connected to the internet a wallet that using password and could be accessed at any time have high fluidity eg: wallet that being used in an exchange and being used for daily transaction like bitcoin.co.id, luno.com, kraken, etc\n  2. Cold wallet : A wallet that are not conenccted to internet because it’s save in your harddrive, USB or in paper forms that has blockchain code, have a certain amount of bitcoin inside it.       "body": "This article created in 2014 when LINE were still new player in Indonesia but atm they has a lot competitor entering these market; and I will write another part soon \n\nIt's been in the last 2 days the mini drama of super famous Indonesia movie called \"ada apa dengan cinta\" (AADC) for short movie line you could refer to the article from jakarta post after 12 years all the actors and actress re-unite. For Indonesian millenial generation this 2002 movie quite famous and it's quite rare to find Indonesia drama that are being widely remember as this one; due to at those time Indonesia didn't have qualified movie in the cinema yet.\n\nThis mini drama were created by LINE to attract people to used their FIND ALUMNI feature; to make this features line already upload quite huge database from Indonesia minister of education and my assumption why LINE use this AADC movie not only because LINE target users that they are trying to attract were Millennial generations that become major economic work force in Indonesia at the moment. LINE try to attract a small fraction of other messaging savvy users to their apps stealing the spotlight from whatsapp, kakaotalk, viber, bbm or other messenger.\n\nTargeting Indonesia as their main market are right choice for LINE because in south korea they are beaten by kakaotalk (from my point of view) and Indonesia has one of the largest blooming market. In this movie LINE also work with samsung as it seen in the movie the handset they used are samsung; There's no official connection between LINE and samsung whether samsung are the main investor of LINE or not (need clarification). Originally LINE coming from Naver japan but most of the feature develop in South Korea; LINE develop different strategies for each market, most of the time they try to attract people using their Korean hallyu stars stickers or their games.\n\nIn youtube this mini drama within 2 days already reached 2 millions+ views and still growing; mostly coming from Indonesian people(or those who understand bahasa of course because there's no subtitle yet ); that's already counted 1% of whole Indonesia population. The numbers probably doesn't seems WOW because it's not double digits percentage but it will be snow ball effect this number still growing within time and LINE try to steal the pie from other player in Indonesia market.\n\nWhy LINE want to establish their business well in Indonesia? why not other country? because at the moment Indonesia have a huge crunch of millennial pie's that are still growing and untouchable.       "body": "Yesterday a friend of mine asking about the difference of messaging apps that we are currently used , the discussion started because we are brainstorming which apps to be used.\n\nAll the stories start because currently I am involving in 2 groups that trying to develop our community based in Jakarta mainly, the other already quite well at least gather 800+ member over the span of 2 years for data sciene because Indonesia really lacked of professional who are working in the data sciene field and all this times business owner ignored about it but recently because of the development of startup so fast, VC and the investors need data and people needs to be trained.\n\nI am a bit shocked when I went back to Indonesia because the data are ignored even by big companies as fo them the most important thing are customer as their cash cow whithout the needed to think about other aspect well it’s not 100% wrong but it also not 100% right either.\n\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmeQye1tvSKyyY8YYZjm84sLwRfYUUxXdiNVoUyA2Pby7L/gambar.png)\n\nBecause of the startup industry moving so fast the universities rarely pay attention to details because it cause them longer time to brew the logical thinking and the student just being fed; like the process of making foie gra isn’t it ? but that’s the truth I just recently open my curent company source code for their HR web and it’s shocking because everything hard coded without any relational database rules and now I know the problems .\n\nOk back to the story after long background story, another group I am start to working on are bitcoin and blockchain community and this one still hell of long joiurney because currently some people who are in the group just cared about they hype but not willing to spend their time reading or doing small research so we need to do our homework to sort the weed from the real bunch.\n\nI learned a lot fromt eh data sciene group because the way thinking already in logical order and strategical (those data sciene bunch know well :D I just becoming their silent reader and just throw my opinion when the time is needed hehehehe) .\n\nSo these 2 groups using 2 different messaging apps;\n\n    Telegram\n    Whatsapp\n\nand we are looking into other options like :\n\n    Line\n    Slack\n\nJust those 2 because it’s pretty hard to use BBM for group chat hahahaha\n\nBut all these messaging apps coming with plus and minus that I would like to discuss here :\n\n    Whatsapp → Cons: other people can see your number even strangers can send you message as long as they have your number and internet connection which is vulnerable in term of security especially if creating a group where some people might not know each other also if you are gojek or uber in jakarta sometimes the driver just contact you with reason they doesn’t have credit to call or send u sms; not for big group max 256ppl in a group . Pro: you can block the unwanted numbers ; suddenly keep in touch with your old friend because you have their numbers and both using whatsapp; appropriate for private group.\n    LINE → Cons: people can using phone number too; can’t quote previous message. Pro: If you don’t like it just block it ; many official brand makes their LINE account and sometimes they are offering discount or buy 1 get 1 from their official LINE account ; If you like K-Pop LINE is the first in line offering streaming with their official k-pop stars account ; People can add by Id -doesn’t need any phone numbers required; and LINE is the 1st mesaging apps that ofering free call (as far as I knew in Indonesia)beside kakaotalk and latter on these feature copy by whatsapp; Nobody can add you withhout your permission; Micro blogging site even much more useful than twitter because you can create notes and creating a private group board; Cute stickers and GIF.\n    Telegram → Cons: Installing another messaging apps again :(( Pro: People in Indonesia not too familiar with this apps and there’s few step of learning needed but it can create a direct pooling in apps; opening link without leaving apps ; pinned mesage board; Can’t called but could record voice; whatsapp also copying the way messaging attachment like attaching doc or locations and also quoting previous message.\n    Kakao Talk → being left out as people in SE asia prefer to used LINE while LINE and kakao have the same feature it just the marketing persitent that determine the final outcomes. Cons: too late to pivoting their business model for Indoensia and other SE asia market . Pro: the leader in offering buy 1 get 1 offer for official account\n    Slack → everyone in tech know this well and it’s been tech sweetheart; I couldn’t agree more as the feature quite supportive for large group the only cons are people have to learn to used it because if the person are not willing to learn it’s gonna be sth that’s hard to use for people outside tech world but in terms of file sharing and group disscussion slack quite useful\n    WeChat → this contender from China mostly used to communicate with people in the mainland as it got some cool feature. Cons : you have to learn how to use it again :p ; Pro: Could communicate with people in mainland china to buy for things sold in alibaba or taobao and have easy direct translate feature which other apps doesn’t have no direct contender for this even LINE bots and translator not as good as Wechat; also have microblogging feature like LINE could share your picture or uploading about your live live sttreaming without the needed to have facebook or instagram anymore :D if you are in China could be used to pay for grocery or food in restaurant just scan the QR code and it can conenct to your mobile wallet\n    Fb messenger, BBM → No need to mentioned compare to those I mentioned above not as good as daily messaging apps we have because it’s lagging and some feature that are common\n\nThere’s always pro and cons for every messaging platform but the most imporatant thing is a distict feature that making peole would like to install and use it. I hear so many people say I have a great idea for messaging bla bla bla but the main questions lies Have you done your homework to do the research and being open mind when other peole give their opinion. Not all opnion are good but not all all bad too.\n\nFancy names means nothing if the feature are not useful for the greater goods. I would like to hear more from you as this one only based on what I know and what I experience.       "body": "In my journey of learning Blockchain and Cryptocurrency I met difference type of people the worst part are those who want to be rich as the soonest so they just joined the hype without even want to learn a bit about bitcoin and crytocurrency.
