A veces solo falta una chispa de organización y las cosas empiezan a fluir como agua entre rocas.</p></div>\n<p>\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><p>¡Bien! Entre mi biblioteca mental estuve viendo sobre mis aventuras haciendo trekking y me dije: “¡Ok, por qué no compartirla!”</p></div>\n<p>\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><p>Les contare sobre una aventura que tuve hace poco mas de un año a uno de los picos más altos de Venezuela, se llama <b>Pico El Toro, ubicado a 4.727msnm en el Parque Nacional Sierra Nevada, en Merida</b>, un estado montañoso, donde se encuentran los picos más altos del país con vestigios de glaciares que algún día se encontraban imponentes.</p></div> \n<p>\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><p>La expedición partió un sábado 1ero de julio de 2017 a las 8:00am aproximadamente. Me reuní en la estación base del Sistema Teleferico Mukumbari con  Albin, uno de mis amigos de ascendencia polaca al que comúnmente llamábamos “Albino” o “El Polaco”. Ese día era su cumpleaños y entre la felicidad y los nervios por subir al pico por dentro deseaba que nada malo ocurriera en nuestro ascenso. Unos minutos después llegó otro amigo junto a su padre que sería nuestro guía, dos primos y su mamá, quien también es montañista. Procedimos a chequear los boletos para ascender en la cabina del teleférico hasta quedarnos en la 4ta estación llamada <b>“Loma Redonda”</b> que es la penúltima estación y se encuentra a una altura de 4.045msnm. Allí tomamos agua, comimos un poco, analizamos la ruta y el clima, y empezamos una travesia de casi 6 horas, sabiendo por los datos metereológico que podría llover durante nuestro ascenso.</p></div> \n<p><center>https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmavGYvQaq6SWhMnA5goyaPM4MCFWHuF8ZPjmdcPjegyRD/IMG_20170702_202939_876.jpg</center></p>\n<p>\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><p>Si bien había mayor presión atmosférica y menos oxígeno las probabilidades de sufrir un <b>MDA (Mal De Altura) o como lo conocen en los andes venezolanos “Mal de paramo”</b> estaban latentes, pero algo muy curioso que aprendí en diversas excursiones en Mérida es llevar siempre un poco de <b>“panela” o “papelon”</b>. Para el que no conoce este producto les explico, consiste en un<b> terrón de azúcar de caña que compactan en formas variadas</b>, pero es más usual verla en forma de bloque, de ahí el nombre “panela”, y es muy usado en Venezuela para endulzar muchas preparaciones o para elaborar postres, si se mezcla con agua y limón se convierte en una bebida super refrescante. Volviendo al tema, tener un poco panela y comerla servía para aliviar mareos, dolores de cabeza y mantener el nivel de azúcar en el cuerpo y evitar un síncope.</p></div>\n<p>\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><p>La caminata se extendía y cada vez que pensábamos que estábamos cerca aún faltaba mucho por recorrer. Alrededor de las 10:00 am divisamos el pico a donde debíamos subir. Antes de ascender al pico, levantamos campamento, almorzamos y descansamos un rato. Dejamos los bolsos en las carpas y empezamos a caminar. Cerca de las 2:40 pm estábamos en la base del pico, a tan solo metros divisamos la señal que indicaba la altura máxima del pico. Había una pared escarpada de piedras por donde debíamos subir, al lado izquierdo y derecho de la pared solo podía ver un vacio sin fin que ocultaba la neblina, rezaba para que mis manos y mis brazos no se cansaran y los nervios no ayudaban mucho. A las 3:12 pm, luego de caminar durante  varias horas entre riscos, pendientes, muchas piedras, y haberme llevado un susto, esperamos que todos terminaran de subir y a la cuenta de 3 gritamos en coro; \"CUMBREEE”. Si algún amigo montañista me lee, conoce la emoción de estar en esa posición y ver todo desde la cima.</p></div>\n<p><center>https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQhmHMB4YVsW55sBCRkx1RgATUitQ1xGMeZTgQkd6NxBZ/IMG_20170911_125402_processed.jpg</center></p>\n<p>\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><p>Ok, ya hicimos cumbre, pero no nos vamos a quedar allí, las carpas están muy abajo todavía. Mientras hacíamos el descenso ya cansados, solo nos imaginábamos el calor del saco de dormir y una cena caliente. Volvimos al campamento base ya oscureciendo. Y después de cenar nos retiramos a dormir. A esa altura y en horas de la noche la temperatura era cerca de los 2 ℃, así que salir de la carpa era por estricta necesidad. Pero allí no culminaba la aventura, cerca de 11:00 pm empezó a llover suave, y dado el frio, las gotas que caian en el techo de la carpa se convertían en nieve, durante la lluvia se filtro el agua a la carpa y se mojo mi saco de dormir, asustado le avise a mi amigo y me paso un sleeping térmico, y dormí con muchísimo frío, les aseguro que solo deseaba que saliera el sol.</p></div>\n<p><center>https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRJoDXea2ccEBjtMq4FTVR93cUEfa4UcoP8RN1AdsEEA2/IMG_20170702_202939_873.jpg</center></p>\n<p>\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><p>Nos despertamos muy temprano, y amé cada rayo que despuntaba del alba. Los indígenas que en un pasado allí habitaban le llaman <b>“Mukumbari\"  a esa zona y significa \"lugar donde nace o se pone el sol\"</b> y fue a partir de esa experiencia entendí el porqué del nombre. Me dieron una taza de café y abrace la taza caliente, mientras me cargaba con la energía del sol cual panel solar. Recogimos el campamento viendo bien de no dejar rastro alguno de basura, es un Parque Nacional y me ha tocado campañas de saneamiento donde debemos recoger todos los desechos que dejan algunos visitantes. Y aprovecho para decir, que lo único que debemos dejar en la naturaleza, son nuestras huellas.</p></div>\n<p>\n<div class=\"text-justify\"><p>Empezamos la caminata de vuelta, pero les confieso que a pesar de haber pasado muchísimo frío, no dejé de disfrutar cada momento. Son cosas que se viven pocas veces en la vida y debemos aprender a reírle a las dificultades.
