A number of people blindly following a person or \"idol\", even if the leader is harming its people they follow. The fact that they armed themselves should not be bad, how many people did they kill before the siege?  As far as I know 0 people were harmed by branch Davidians with any weapons before the siege.  It was not until the government decided citizens arming themselves with enough weapons to go to war with the government was not ok (god forbid the 2nd amendment be followed to allow us to protect against tyrannical governments).  That is exactly what happened, War.  The ATF showed up and had the mindset that they were the power in charge and would go in and take these people prisoner.
