      "body": "Is Bitcoin in a Bubble? Some will say yes, others no. Also the answer depends on the scale. Short term, seeing the parabolic move, for sure it’s a bubble in all standards. But Amazon, Facebook, Google at one time were also qualified as been in a bubble short term. Long term, the question is more difficult to answer. Instead one could rather ask: can you afford to take the risk and what are the major risks?\n\nI do believe Bitcoin is a really good invention that could have a great future. But it doesn’t deliver on its original promise. It was created as a reaction to 2008 crisis of banks too big to fail and today it is controlled by a bunch of (chinese) miners and a bunch of so called whales investors. Now on these sides, the risks are little except for a few short term manipulations. These are the usual game who will wipe out those who want to gamble without being knowledgeable enough. They’ll lose their shirts but they’ll deserve their fate.\n\nLong term, the real risk is regulation. Money is the number one sovereignty tool of government and there is one thing that is common to Capitalism and Communism which is: Central Banking. That a Central Bank is private like in United States or Public like in European Union is useless detail, what matters is they’re independant from democratic governments and so controlled by the banking system. That banking system knows since long that it is crucial for them to control the circulation of money to keep the wealths of their people who benefit from them.\n\nIf Bitcoin was to replace official currency it would be bad for them. So what would be probably the fate of Bitcoin long term? Like Gold it could be hyped until such a great bubble that it will crash and never go back. It could also be kept to serve as a vehicule for big money laundering as regulations on traditional banking are tightening for small fishes not really the big ones (like when selling weapons, bying oil,…). As usual these regulations are made by consulting firms who have more interest to generate contract services like in IT than to really protect against money laundering since they also advise clients on how to do fiscal optimization – they won’t shoot themselves in the feet will they ?\n\nBitcoin can also serve like stock market to keep consumers buying on the illusion of wealth – while keeping inflation apparently low since money is pouring into virtual assets instead of the economy. Many young people are willing to buy bitcoin because it’s easy whereas buying stocks is much more a hassle, requires more capital and more time.\n\nSo I think Bitcoin is here to stay for a rather long time until Government think the population is ready to accept that fiat currencies are going to be on the blockchain themselves and then forbid bitcoin at least for Dictatures like Russia or China whereas in Democratic countries, Bitcoin could still thrive for the reasons exposed above.\n\nIn conclusion, there wouldn’t be so many risks in investing in Bitcoin if you follow the basic rules of investment: never use capital you need for living, only invest 1/10th of that capital to enter the market each time so as not to buy at the highest high and being the lastest fool at this speculative game. Of course I’m not here to give advices for investing but give my viewpoint on the big picture.",

      "body": "More than 20 years ago before 2000s, though I had been trained in engineering and corporate finance, I didn’t have any real interest in the latter. As many young people, I thought it was not worth my interest. Until one day a company invited me to trade the Deutschmark against the Dollar or the other way round, I don’t remember exactly. I told them I knew nothing about stock market and so wasn’t interested. They convinced me to just try with a little sum of money – for them “little” meant around 10000$ – as entrepreneur at that time, I could afford so I did. After 2 weeks, they lost 50% of the investment. I was surprised until I decided to enter that world working inside a brokerage firm and doing analysis with my own mathemactical model for futures and stock traders (once for the private banking of a big bank). I then learnt about OPM (Other’s People Money) so understood first time I was just a pigeon. I then setup a learning site on stockmarket for novices but to my dismay people really just want what journalists want them to hear. As for journalists to whom I spoke some on phone and even face to face, they told me that if they don’t write what people want to hear, these readers wouldn’t buy the newspapers.\n\nLong story short, years by years, I have studied the whole financial system going back to antiquity an think I now understand how the system works as a whole. When I say “system”, it’s in Deming’s sense of SOPK: System of Profound Knowledge. For there is a great illusion of knowledge in finance that is and that I was taught in high schoold degree and also a more profound knowledge that isn’t taught at school but only when you entered the real world of high finance. Now Bitcoin has led some people to discover a bit of the system and that Money is not what conventional wisdom taught it is probable that the current system will try to use Blockchain for the purpose of perpetuating it not to change herself for the good.\n\nBecause the system today is not good. Some elites pretend with global statistics that poverty has diminished but that’s really not how people feel. In under developed countries, there are more and more people enslaved their whole life by debt just because one day they or a member of their family felt sick and even in developed countries like France more than 50% of people in a survey reveal they had once nearly fell under the threshold of poverty. If the system does not improve in the future, as Venture Capitalist Nick Hauner says “The Pitchforks will be Coming… For Us Plutocrats”.\n\nNow the future of Money – in fact the whole Economy – is the Blockchain, I am convinced – probably you’re not like for the internet at her beginning. It is now that People like Entrepreneurs as well as any Citizen have the opportunity to rewamp the whole system. But the window of action will narrow as time passes along and those who have control today will try to perpetuate the system by their selfish interest just changing the packaging with some clever marketing. So if citizens do not care enough, like for the Internet, it will be dominated by the same oligopolists and even worse for Internet was not about Money, Blockchain is about Money, the Blood of the Economy.
