      "body": "自元宇宙从一个单纯的技术概念成为一个热门的公共话题之后，不断有人在问我元宇宙到底是什么？坦白说这个问题很难回答，元宇宙是个十分抽象的概念，就好比“世界”是个抽象的概念一样。你如果问世界是什么？那么我想一千个人眼中有一千个世界。\n\n“世界”概念的形成，是人们对一切事物表象进行抽象化处理的结果，是对一切自在之物总和的概括。这从根本上决定了世界定义的复杂性。\n\n人人关心元宇宙是什么，我想说说元宇宙不是什么\n元宇宙与之类似。由于它与现实物理世界之间存在一种映射关系，同时它的形成是由物联网、人工智能、虚拟现实、云计算等众多复杂技术融合的结果，包括我们人本身也将是元宇宙的参与者和构成物，这就注定了对元宇宙的解释是一件极为困难的事。\n\n当下，凡是能够跟元宇宙搭上点儿边的企业都不约而同地声称自己掌握了元宇宙的某项技术，以至于一家权威媒体发出这样的质疑——万物皆可元宇宙？\n\n我的看法是，从元宇宙的终极形态来看，它是一个与现实世界具备高度映射关系的虚拟空间，或者用一种时髦的说法，元宇宙是物理世界的“数字孪生”。那么从这个层面来看，说万物皆可元宇宙并没有什么问题。因为万事万物都有可能成为构成元宇宙的一分子。\n\n当然，这是就终极形态的元宇宙概念而言的。从目前元宇宙的发展现状来看，能够称之为元宇宙的那种东西可以说是不存在的。元宇宙在很大程度上仍然存在于人们的想象与期望之中。因而，元宇宙的未来存在无数种可能。\n\n现在，我们还不能给元宇宙下一个准确的定义，我们不能用只言片语解释清楚元宇宙是什么，但我们可以根据元宇宙的必要特征明确指出元宇宙不是什么。\n\n人人关心元宇宙是什么，我想说说元宇宙不是什么\n比如，很多人认为元宇宙是类似于电影《头号玩家》里的绿洲，因而错误地认为元宇宙是一种大型的网络游戏。沿着这一思路，有些人可能会说现有的VR游戏是不是都可以称为元宇宙。甚至有人开玩笑般地问我，曾经风靡一时的反恐精英是不是也算元宇宙的雏形。答案当然是否定的。\n\n观察现有的网络游戏，你会发现它们存在许多共同特征。最典型的一点是，绝大多数游戏都存在人为设定的道具和任务，玩家需要在连续不断的任务和由此产生的冲突中获得刺激和虚幻的成就感。\n\n尽管一些大型游戏采取了开放式地图的设计，比如星际探索类游戏《无人深空》，基于算法让地图大到无边无际，让玩家在自由探索的过程中获得了创造性游玩的体验，但由于游戏的设计被限定在太空冒险主题，玩家本质上是对宇航员这一角色的扮演，并且游戏的场景、道具等设计脱离实际，游戏中的行为不会与现实世界产生交集，因而此类游戏也仅仅可以算作独立于现实世界的虚拟游戏。\n\n![8e0113675690437b9211b9cb728026f8.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQbaDCDnK97ozLHyD8ERB8uAzvetR7sqzQsnLkiEhqfd3/8e0113675690437b9211b9cb728026f8.jpg)\n\n\n与这类游戏相比，还有一种“游戏”更接近“元宇宙”的形态，游戏的道具、场景等设计很大程度上以现实世界为蓝本，比如土地、建筑、广场、商场、交通工具、公共服务设施，玩家可以通过3D建模工具，在游戏中获得创造性游玩的体验，并且因为建立了虚拟货币体系，玩家在游戏中创造的东西可以交易，交易而来的虚拟货币甚至可以兑换为现实货币。典型的游戏如《second life》。\n\n人人关心元宇宙是什么，我想说说元宇宙不是什么\n我认为这类游戏可以视为元宇宙的雏形，但准确地说此类游戏不能以“游戏”来定义，因为它并不给定玩家以任何任务，也没有任何故事主线，同时与现实世界生活场景高度相似，玩家一切行为很大程度上是对现实生活真实自我角色的扮演，游戏中的形象乃是现实身份的avater，即化身。\n\n注意“化身”这个词，它是元宇宙最主要的特征。了解这个特征之后，你就会意识到任何对脱离用户现实身份的其他虚拟角色的扮演，都与元宇宙的概念相去甚远。当然，你在虚拟空间的化身可以从事与现实生活完全不相干的职业，比如在现实中你是一个程序员，在虚拟空间中你可以通过自己的努力成为一个虚拟服装制造商。这就好比如今你在现实中是个外卖配送员，同时又是一家淘宝店主一样。\n\n一言以蔽之，元宇宙不是网络游戏，也不是独立于现实世界的虚拟世界，而是现实世界与虚拟世界的高度融合。现实世界的个人德行和才能可以在虚拟世界得以延续和伸展，现实世界的需求和价值感可以在虚拟世界得到满足和补偿。反过来，人在虚拟世界中通过发挥个人创造性获得的回报，与现实世界的利益相连通。\n\n除此之外，在交互模式上，元宇宙与网络游戏之间也存在一条泾渭分明的界限。由于终端设备形态以及调动感官的方式发生了变化，元宇宙将摆脱键鼠、触屏的传统交互方式，形成一套全新的交互机制。最具代表性的交互终端如VR眼镜，给人身临其境之感，再如布满了传感器的装束，穿上之后在虚拟空间中触碰或挪动物品，都能够获得与真实体验相似的感官反馈。\n\n![7dbc29108c814b24b0646c32821b127e.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmf4vriqX2nPNZHhtELqSwZCJsNDN1m53t38Uro5LrsqA1/7dbc29108c814b24b0646c32821b127e.jpg)\n\n以全新的交互模式为元宇宙的基本特征之一，那么一切以PC、智能手机为计算平台的类元宇宙应用都难以称之为元宇宙。\n\n当然，从元宇宙的发展现状来看，这样的标准实在过于苛刻。VR技术、传感技术等一系列技术仍然处于早期阶段，接近理想形态的元宇宙可能需要花费数年甚至十年时间。元宇宙相关基础技术的不完善，也是造成当下元宇宙产品从形态上难以判定是否真伪的主要原因。\n\n以我个人的观点来看，目前元宇宙的概念远远大于它的实质。元宇宙相关技术的研发需要漫长的时间，相关终端设备的普及也面临重重的障碍。我们知道，元宇宙的建设离不开大规模人群的参与和协同，从这一点来看，元宇宙的形成与否最关键的问题并不在于技术，而在很大程度上取决于无数个人的意愿。\n\n![08d9d993008b470586c5064b156474c2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYBHQK4zzMG3v3XEUvmbQZkkxsZz2cp9AEJTJeJUp2krt/08d9d993008b470586c5064b156474c2.jpg)\n\n当然，从历史上看技术的发展往往不以个人的意愿为转移，在虚实融合的趋势之下，未来每个人都将主动或被动的参与到元宇宙的建设中来，只有参与其中你才能够成为元宇宙的一部分。唯心一点地说，只有你身处其中的元宇宙才是元宇宙。你不在其中，元宇宙就不存在。",
