      "body": "Hi humans, \n\nI’m already starting off this post in my head as if the **protagonist** is reading aloud as a **montage** of random strangers goes in and out of frame.  \n\nToday, I want to talk about **_structure_** and **_discipline_**… I think… well we’ll see where the article ends up. \n\nI’ve told myself that I want to write every day… every single day. Erry Day. (Schmidt voice says in head) -- anyone know where this comes from?\n\nWhether it be here on the internet, a notebook, or the notes app -- I am draining the swamp… *ewww this phrase might not be so good anymore. Shoot.* \n\nLists, stories, fiction, biographical, my to-dos, drawings. **I’M WRITING IT ALL.** \n\nNo matter what.... And in my **style**, which will shift time to time. \n\n\n# STRUCTURE and DISCIPLINE\n\nAs a ~~wanna-be~~ writer (*LAURAAAA*) *sorry* -- As a **writer**, I know it is important to write. Yep, I know, thoughtful. \n\nTruly though, there are so many people in my life, in this world, that want to be better at something they love. Whether it be writing, filmmaking, designing, drawing, the social network game, politics, -- but very few of them actually do it for any significant part of the day. \n\nSince a large part of western culture is inundated with emails, research, pictures, and our facebook friends statuses, consuming what we **_think_** we love 24 hours a day is the norm. When in reality, what we love has been replaced by…\n\nSomething greater in which cannot be stopped by force or retaliation, but rather a mindset, and it starts with your own. \n\nI don’t want to be great. I really want to be **effective** and **heartening**. I want my thoughts to transform a little idea that was once in my head, and then have a greater presence out in the world. \n\nIn order to do so, structure and discipline is where it all begins. I have to retrain my brain to not sit idle, waiting my moment. I take my moment and turn it into substance. \n\nEven though many of us lead very structured lives, as in\n1. Wake up\n2. Coffee or Tea\n3. Shower \n4. Work\n5. Tv\n6. Bed\n\nIs that a beneficial structure?\n\nI’m talking about personal structure… and one step at a time. First, I want to write more -- to develop thoughts, stories, and scripts. To let my ideas flourish. \n\n**How do I get there?**\nBy waking up and taking a solid part of the day to let the ideas flow out. \n\nBy planning and making time for thoughts that have become uncomfortable because the words are stuck and unpracticed. \n\n**_10,000 hours_**. Not worried about definite numbers but more so the action of moving towards it.\n\nWe hear a lot of mentors talk about morning practices, but as of late, I have not had one that I do every day. I used to meditate. I used to write. I used to workout. \n\nHow can I turn that around… oh yeah, by meditating, writing, and working out. But also, by allowing myself the space to not worry about it. \n\nMoving forward, is failing forward. Growing in strength, is growing in time. \n\n### What tools and practices do you use to have structure?\n\n### Do you think discipline is useful for creativity?\n\n### Let me know your thoughts!",

The notebook in the brain is by far the most valuable tool we have as humans because at every waking moment, we can jot down an idea that has potential to become something so much greater. \n\n**Wow, wow, wow** lots of pressure. \n\nWhat’s invaluable is training the mind to hold onto those thoughts without pressure of loss. I don’t know about you, but every time I think *Do not forget that nugget, its a good one.* \n\nTurn onto street...\n\n*What am I having for my next meal*. Cut to hours later, and the deja uv moment created by a sense, be it a sound, smell, or taste - I remember I was supposed to remember something. \n\nThis is good though, but I fell out of the habit of having faith that when I am supposed to write about a topic, it will just ~~*falleth*~~ from my fingers. An old roomie said that sometimes she just snaps her fingers and says out loud **_remember_**. The word can be anything. *Save.* *Document!* *Bingo$*\n\nThis is even a good practice when wanting to shift your perspective or mood. Imagine yourself swiping a negative thought and saying *Delete*. Try it. \n\nAnyways, I am now giving *power* to the idea that when an idea is supposed to *manifest* into the world... I will be ready when I put pen to paper... or fingers to keyboard. \n\nThat said, even when I step past the hurdle of distraction and **_choose_** to focus, that is when the story or idea will be reflected on the page. \n\nWho on here has similar practices? All of these ideas in my brain are filled with **stories**, **images**, **scripts**, or the way I would **film** a funny skit or scene. \n\nHowever, consequently, as the screen comes in direct contact with my eyes, I hold off on my brilliant and probably attainable idea to search. To search for what exactly. Instant gratification or truly, another form of self sabotage in the form of comparison. *oh no* and then I let the creativity goooo.....\n\nThis brings up the idea of constantly **_waiting_**.  **_Waiting_** for the right moment. **_Waiting_** for something profound to say. **_Waiting_** for that funny idea. **_Waiting_** for the sake of others approval. \n\nLets just write to write. Train ourselves to rid of the **egotistical** and **shame** driven pauses. \n\nWrite to write. Write to meditate.       "body": "# Compassion. Strength. Resilience. Rest.\n\nMy physical health over the past few years is a difficult one for me to talk about, much less write about. I personally find it hard to talk about the things, or more so, this very thing, that I once saw as a ~~weakness~~. \n\nI could tell the full story of my road to and through being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease but I find it more important to share in pieces. My diagnosis is just answers and knowledge. It is not my end. It is my beginning. \n\nAlso, I would rather those listening, reading, learning, and seeking out guidance on how to overcome their physical ailments, to stop right now, and take notice of the fact that you **CAN** get better. You **WILL** get better. \n\nIt’s going to take **work**, a lot of **mistakes**. **A LOT**. but those mistakes are lessons in giving you more knowledge about what you as an individual need to do… for yourself to get better. \n\nThere is so much information I want to share and connect with others on but most times when people are inundated with loads of facts or opinions all at once, the very message that could have helped becomes an overwhelming chore. I want people to **_thrive_**. I want myself to **_thrive_**. \n\nHere are a few lessons that I have learned, and still continue to forget time to time. **Patience** and **Practice**.\n\n1. Do not believe that the thing that you did yesterday is going to kill you because of something that you read on the internet. You are not starting all over again. Move forward, and turn that new fact you just learned into a positive tool. \n2. Try something, and do not expect results right away. It takes weeks, months, and years to notice a difference.
