      "body": "The town I grew up in had a old sanitarium, it closed down in the late sixties but the building was still there. In highschool everyone and their mom tried breaking in, some succeeded but others chickened out. After highschool and a stint in the marines I found myself working private security and what we mostly did was guard construction projects at night.\n\nWell the Sanitarium was slated for demo and the company that bought the land planned on turning it into a apartment complex. So myself and a guy who had to be pushing seventy named Fred were working one night. Fred was a former cop from Chicago and before that was a marine, we often swapped stories and we really enjoyed working together.\n\nThe sanitarium was a hotbed for homeless and drug activity and so we often had to chase tweakers or homeless folks off the property.\n\nThat night Fred and I were shooting the shit when he stops me and tells me someone just went over the fence. So we get out and head inside, now it's important to note fred was unarmed and all I had was my side piece, we also had pepper spray, a stun gun and a baton. So we are headed after this guy who was wearing all black and wasn't responding to our commands to stop. We hear glass breaking and realize this guy must have broke into one of the old administrative offices. We have keys to the door but the locks are old and it takes us a few minutes.\n\nOur protocol was to call dispatch to advise them of a foot chase so Fred did that as I swept the rooms with my flashlight and gun. I'm calling out to this dude and I hear a evil cackle. It sent a jolt of dread throughout my body, and Fred next to me turned white. I start pleading with this guy to show himself, telling him the company called the police (which they did not)\n\nNow the laughing is coming from behind us and it's not one voice, it sounds like several voices. Fred literally pisses himself he is terrified and this is a Nam veteran and a former cop. Fred and I turn to leave and I hear what sounds like footsteps, then the unmistakable sound of a gun cocking. I grab Fred and we run for it, as we do more maniacal laughing.\n\nThe cops finally do show up because dispatch couldn't reach us and called it in, they go in and find three guys. All three were armed, one with a gun, one with a homemade shiv and the other with a lead pipe. If we hadn't run who knows what could have happened.\n\nI have a lot more stories from my time working private security but decided to share this first.\n\nSo tweakers who tried to lure my partner and I to being hurt if not killed let's definitely not meet again.",

      "body": "It was February, 2010 and I was 7 years old. My mom would let me walk home from school as my apartment was just a little ways from the school.\n\nThere was never any problems with this but one day when I was walking home from school a black car pulled up next to me, for the life of me I can't remember what kind of car it was. The window to the car rolled down and there was a woman with red hair, she looked to be about 45. She introduced herself as Erica and said that she was my father's sister. My father left before I was born and we don't have any contact with his family.\n\nAlthough I didn't know much about my father at the time I did know that he only had brothers because just days before I was asking my mom rapid fire questions about him and one of them was if he had any brothers or sisters.\n\nAnyway, instead of telling Erica that he didn't have any sisters or just walking away I told her my name and she started asking me questions like \"where do you go to school\" and \"how's your brother\". I got really creeped out by these questions and told her that I wasn't supposed to be talking to strangers and started walking away.\n\nShe continued to drive slowed next to me and kept saying that she means no harm and I got scared and started running and she followed me. When I got into my apartment complex I ran up to my neighbors house acting like it was mine because that's what my brother told me to do if I was ever being followed home. I looked back when I was at the door and she was driving away. I didn't tell my mom because I didn't want her to stop letting me walk alone.\n\nThe next day it happened again but this time she offered me a ride. I told her no and to leave me alone and once again I started running over to the neighbors house and once again she followed me. I still did not tell my mom.\n\nThe next day was Saturday and when I was playing at the basketball court with my brother I saw the car drive by and I dragged my brother inside telling him that I felt sick. On Sunday after Church on the way home in the car pulling into the complex I saw her outside, she was not in her car. I remember that she had a big stomach and smaller legs. I got scared and when we got out of the car I ran inside and looked out the living room window while my mom and brother went to go make lunch.\n\nI saw her walk over to the neighbors house I ran to. A few moments later she walked away and my neighbor came over to our house and informed my mother that a lady came looking for me claiming that she was a teacher and needed to talk to me about something. When my mom heard this she called me in and I started crying and told her everything and then she started crying because she was scared of what could have happened and then she told me that I had to wait for my brother, who was 13 to get out of school so we could walk together and she also reported this to the police, myself and my neighbor had to give a report.\n\nAfter this I saw the car and would point it out to my brother and we would tell my mom. It all died down by April. And we never got any word about if the police ever talked to her.\n\nI did not see her for years and I forgot about it until yesterday when I was at Albertsons with my best friend. I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was her. She introduced herself again and my mouth just hung open in shock and I acted nice but when she offered to take me to my house I got scared, grabbed my friend and walked away.\n\nI'm very afraid. She remembers me. She still tried to give me a ride and she's still around. I already told my mom. We aren't sure what to do.\n\nUpdate: I have since gone to the police with my mother and we have a follow up with an officer.",
