      "body": "Первая часть теории квантовых жидкостей, построенная Ландау, относится к объяснению явления сверхтекучести жидкого гелия, которая была обнаружена Петром Леонидовичем Капицей в 1937 году. Теория Ландау появилась через четыре года. Перед ним стояла задача объяснить совершенно удивительное явление: как так может быть, что жидкость теряет полностью вязкость и, например, может течь вверх по стенке сосуда? Было ясно, что это квантовое явление, связанное с квантовой механикой. Нужно было придумать макроскопическое описание, когда вместо координат отдельных частиц в уравнения входят какие-то усредненные величины, простейшие из них — это плотность жидкости и скорость течения жидкости. И Ландау нашел способ записать квантово-механические уравнения для этих величин. Из этих уравнений следовало, что в квантовой жидкости может существовать безвихревое течение. Обычно мы об этом не думаем, но в течении обыкновенной жидкости почти всегда бывают завихрения — они возникают естественным образом. Из уравнений, полученных Ландау, оказалось, что в квантовой жидкости возможны течения совсем без завихренности. Они называются потенциальными течениями. А могут, вообще говоря, существовать течения и с завихренностью. И ключевое место теории Ландау состояло в том, что самые легковозбуждаемые течения или движения жидкости обязательно безвихревые. А вихревые тоже могут возникать, но для них нужно обязательно внести в систему какую-то ненулевую энергию. Оказалось, что из этой очень простой мысли имеются многочисленные важные последствия.\r\n\r\nВо-первых, возбуждения с самыми малыми энергиями очень похожи на обыкновенный звук, и их впоследствии стали называть фононы.\r\n\r\nВо-вторых, есть другие возбуждения с большей энергией, и у них никогда не может быть энергии меньше, чем некоторая так называемая щель в энергетическом спектре. Они могут существовать наряду с фононами, но при самых низких температурах их практически не бывает, они не возбуждаются. Из такого свойства устройства спектра в возбуждении квантовой жидкости, которое следовало из полученных Ландау уравнений, последовало все остальное. Например, самым главным следствием, которое с тех пор носит название критерия сверхтекучести по Ландау, следует, что если такая жидкость течет с достаточно малой скоростью в каком-то сосуде или капилляре, то никакие возбуждения в ней не возникают. Если она как целое начала течь, то она так и будет течь. И никаких фононов и тем более ротонов в ней не возникает. Именно поэтому она и является сверхтекучей, то есть не имеет вязкости. Что такое вязкость? Это когда энергия макроскопического течения жидкости частично расходуется на появление микровозбуждений, в которые выходит энергия. А здесь они просто не могут возникать, если скорость жидкости меньше, чем некоторая критическая. А какая критическая — определяется именно ввиду спектра элементарных возбуждений. Сама по себе идея о том, что большую квантовую систему, в которой частицы сильно взаимодействуют, можно описать при помощи почти не взаимодействующих квазичастиц, возбуждений в этой жидкости, оказалась чрезвычайно важной для всего дальнейшего развития квантовой физики. И большая часть физики конденсированного состояния основана на этой идее. Но еще одна важная часть теории Ландау состояла в идее о том, что если температура не равна нулю, а какая-то достаточно низкая, то действительно возникают возбуждения, фононы и ротоны. И всю жидкость вместе можно рассматривать как совокупность двух частей. Одна по-прежнему идеальная и сверхтекучая, а другая — это газ из квазичастиц. И Ландау удалось написать совершенно полную теорию гидродинамики такой жидкости, состоящей из двух компонентов. В общем, практически все основы физики жидкого гелия уже содержались в этой первой работе, которую Ландау написал в 1941 году. Все дальнейшее, сделанное бесчисленным множеством других людей, было так или иначе развитием этой основной идеи. Значение этой работы таково, что на ней основана вся современная физика конденсированного состояния. И не только даже конденсированного состояния, поскольку многие идеи этой работы стали впоследствии использоваться и в физике элементарных частиц. Вторая важнейшая теория квантовой жидкости, которую построил Ландау заметно позж, в 1956–1957 годы, — это теория ферми-жидкости, состоящей из частиц, так называемых фермионов, которые не могут находиться в одном квантовом состоянии более чем одна штука. А, например, электроны, которые везде, которые электричество и все остальное, — это фермионы. Кроме того, другой изотоп гелия — гелий-3 — тоже состоит из ферми-частиц, в отличие от гелия обычного, наиболее распространенного гелия-4. И теория ферми-жидкости — это тоже одно из важнейших достижений Ландау. Он понял, каким образом можно подойти к описанию сильного взаимодействия таких частиц, формирующих жидкость. Притом что классического описания, в отличие даже от гелия-4, для такой системы на первый взгляд не видно, и именно потому, что ферми-частицы предельно квантовые. В отличие от света, например, они не могут накапливаться в большом количестве в одном и том же состоянии. Поэтому довольно трудно было вообразить какую-то вполне макроскопическую картину описания такой жидкости, в отличие от гелия-4. Однако же Ландау удалось найти такое макроскопическое описание. И оно основано на том факте, что состояние ферми-жидкости, оказывается, не очень сильно отличается от состояния невзаимодействующего ферми-газа. То есть если ферми-частицы вообще между собой не взаимодействуют, то описать их состояние в большом количестве довольно легко. Нужно просто сказать, что мы заселяем квантовые состояния с определенным импульсом, в каждое сажаем один электрон. Следующий электрон сажаем в состояние с большим импульсом. И так вот как бы наливаем эту ферми-жидкость в некоторую чашку. Только эта чашка не в реальном нашем пространстве, а еще и в пространстве их импульсов. В результате получается, что наиболее низкоэнергетическое состояние такой жидкости можно себе представить в виде сферы в пространстве импульса, которая целиком заполнена. А вне ее частиц нет. Это правильное описание такой жидкости при нуле температур, и оно было известно и до Ландау. Но оно относилось к случаю, когда частицы никак между собой не взаимодействовали. А на самом деле они взаимодействуют очень сильно. И стоял вопрос: как же так, почему мы можем использовать эту картинку, развитую для невзаимодействующих частиц, когда на самом деле они взаимодействуют сильно? Эту задачу Ландау и решил. Его главная идея состояла в том, что здесь тоже можно применить, хотя и иначе, чем для сверхтекучести, идею квазичастиц. Идея его состояла в следующем: хотя частицы и взаимодействуют, но с размером сферы Ферми ничего от этого не происходит. Она определяется просто плотностью числа частиц, то есть числом частиц в одном кубическом сантиметре. Поэтому конструкция была следующая. Давайте начнем с того, что попробуем учесть взаимодействие между частицами, пусть даже оно будет относительно слабым. Удивительным образом это описание и его уточнение описывают большую часть того, что нам известно о физике металлов, полупроводников, сверхпроводников, — большую часть, но не все.
