      "body": "<html>\n<p>Well, this is my first post here on Steemit, and I was wondering, what can a man talk in such huge community. So just now I had this idea, that I wanted to share, and see if it is only my opinion, or someone else has noticed. It is about technology and how did it contribute in our social behavior.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>First of all, there are many scientific and social researches that have shown the negative effect of technology on our social behavior. However, my personal observation has shown that it is only inter-generational effect. Technology has created a hug gap between different generations. For example, parents who has children at the age of teenage usually have clashes with their kids. That has always been there since Adam and Eve, but now the gap has become really huge, that children prefer to stay staring at their gadgets for hours, than talking to their parents.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Still let's ask ourselves some questions. Have kids stopped playing with each other?! Have boys and girls stopped having relationships?! Has people stopped hanging out and getting new friends?! My personal observation says HUGE NO!!!! Let's ask different questions. Are children now feeling more separated from their parents?! Are parents trying to find out the real reason behind it, or they are still thinking that their children are only rebels?! My personal observation says HUGE YES!!!! Even me myself suffered from that.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The logical reasons that my brain is suggesting for this issue are:</p>\n<ol>\n  <li>Youngsters are now more open to the world, reading about different aspects of life and going through wide knowledge of recent world. That makes them sometimes more mature than their age, or even obsessed with hobbies that parents have never known about.</li>\n  <li>Parents are still using the classical mindset of parenting, especially 9-5 jobs parents. Their lifestyle pushes them away from the new rocket speed life that their kids are aware of now. They assume that their kids have less knowledge about life, when sometimes, kids know more due to their readings.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Kids try to have their space, trying to explore new areas, feelings, and experiences. Parents on the other hand don't know about the new world, so they get naturally scared about their children, and try to keep them away from the unknown.&nbsp;</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Let's give an example. Imagine that a teenage is asking his parents to go and join a meet-up to explore the new Steemit.com platform. It is something that is 100% safe, but the natural parent instinct senses danger first. So they start asking the 5W1H questions. Usually kids are so excited, and they say bunch jargon that parents don't have any idea about. The kid's attempt is rejected by 95% of parents, since it is something unknown for them. Instead of asking more questions to have the full idea about their children interests, they prefer to take the short way and say no. And that's guys where the gap appears. This leads to separation between kids and parents. Kids usually then prefer to be more socially active with their friends, who share them the same knowledge and interests.</p>\n<p>Kids, teenagers, and even who has turned adults now are usually having huge knowledge gap with their parents. I do never say that all parents do that, and never say that all children are angels. Some really go for dangerous interests, that might end them up in huge danger. I guess that parents need to be more patient and try to investigate about their child's obsessions to avoid that recent social defect.</p>\n<p>This topic is completely a personal observation and opinion. I would appreciate lots if I can hear different opinions and even experiences, which would make me look at the case from different point of view.</p>\n</html>",
