Donald Trump winning was not something I guess anybody expected not even Donald Trump expected it but it happened and thats what democracy is, I guess that's why you have to love democracy. Nevertheless being from India, I guess it was an important election for us as well, thinking that a US presidents policies towards this region will greatly affect my and my fellow country men's future. \n\nOver the last couple of months hearing all that is to be heard, I think the only person or group of people that need to retrospect are the journalists and the newspapers. The candidates good or bad would have fought bitter battles, every election sees that every country sees that. Its filthy and dirty. But, the culprits I believe were the media. The high and mighty media that thought they can control or influence popular opinion were I think the worst that came out of the whole process. The media like here in India often didn't check facts took sides openly declared allegiances. Simply the media was a tool for the political or  business elite to influence public opinion till the last moment, and they failed thoroughly and crushingly. This was to the extent that a large reader base of the New York Times has started cancelling their subscription. To the extent that they have come out with a letter requesting their readers to stay loyal. \n\nI hope this failure of US Media will also be a learning for media agencies across the world. I hope this will teach them to be fair and  impartial, to be a source of information which is fact based and verified. I think that could be a great win for the years to come. \n\nHoping to read more into what the media was introspecting about, I came across this article about steemit users making money online. I generally don't readily believe this online money making opportunities. It seems unreal. Nevertheless, I thought I could share some of my thoughts.",
