It covers a distance of 81 km from kodaikanal to munnar. Berijam is situated at the end of pillar rock road which is the southwest of the Kodaikanal Lake. The roads are filled with a lot of greenery nowadays and there can be an encounter with some animals like leopards, bison, tiger, elephants and many more. The forest department has restricted the entry between 9:30pm to 3pm for the public. Forest department provide only ten free entries. In order to go through the road an early application must be put down to access the road next day.\n\nTrekkers point\n\nThe trekkers and researchers must take permission from the Tamil Nadu forest department to travel along with the road. \"Sholas for survival\" is the pamphlet provided by the district forest office. The pamphlet describes the trekking map of the Palani hills and details the difficulty of each trek.\n\nPlaces in Kodaikanal\n\nThe first palce that you must visit is Kodaikanal Lake which is an artificial lake that covers an area of 60 acres and is about half a kilometer from the bus stand. A tree of eucalyptus and bodhi tree are also attractions of this park. Everyone who is visiting Kerala must visit this park.\nBear Shola Park is the third most visited tourist spot in kerela. It is 3 km away from the bus stand. Bear shoal is a tall waterfall located in the forest reserve. The waterfall gives a wide area where you can easily travel on a climbing path.\n\nKodaikanal solar Observatory has the great range of astronomical treasure in the store. The store provides special night time session of sky viewing which should not be missed.\n\nKodaikanal Golf Club with 71 golf courses. The club is nearer to the popular view sight the \"suicide point\". The club has a wide of facilities for its guests like recreation, entertainment and rest. The main facility is 18 hole golf course. Inside the club there is a conference room, card game room and a billiards room.\n\nThe Palni hill gives a wonderful view of the wildlife present in kerela for those who are interested in wildlife and nature must visit palni hill wildlife sanctuary.
