When he was 6 months old he was attacked by a stray cat, which left him with a broken jaw and many wounds. That caused a lot of blood loss and few stitches.\nHe was critical for almost a week, but he managed to get through it. That incident caused him to have a crooked jaw till now. Last year he started urinating and pooping around the gallery, we assumed it was just a behavioural problem. That was a big mistake.\nOne month ago he suddenly collapsed, there was almost no reaction from him when he called, touched or shake him a bit. Thanks to the caring and very responsible veterinarian who really cared and went on aggressive treatment and medication and being a fighter he is, his condition improved. Although I have been told many times to be prepared to lose him any time.![IMG_7604.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZrfQJGreHwq9fcs1VnfYqub8owRSay4id74qx6WBwa49/IMG_7604.JPG)\n\nAfter almost 2 weeks in the hospital he came back and I really saw how happy and relieved he was to be back with his big family. He is still not stabil and has to depend on S/Q fluid for his life, every alternate day he has to take his fluid. Seing him cry out of pain every time the needle is inserted in him really breaks my heart. This week I decided to bring back the fluid and do it myself although I never did anything like this before. I guess that's the least I can do so he don't need to go through the uncomfortable journey in the car to the vet.\n\nEvery time I look at him it makes me feel so guilty for not noticing the changes in him and for not bringing him for a check earlier. \nTo all pet owners if u realised your cat or dog behaving abnormal like pooping or peeing around or losing weight and loss of appetite, just bring them for a check. Animals can't speak and doesn't know how to tell us they are uncomfortable or in pain,especially cats are well known to hide their pain.\n\nThe past 3 months have been really hard for Jello, although I'm not expecting a miracle and for him to fully recover, I just hope he maintains his current condition and gain some weight.\nIt did take some time for him to adopt to his new Hill's and Royal Canin kidney diet, but he managed to adapt. Just hope he can adapt to the alternate day s/q fluid too, although the vets warned me in advance there will be a time he will get very defensive when you try to insert the fluid. Most people don't really know about my past and I always like it that way. I was introduced to steemit by a group of very supportive people.\n\nIn primary school I was always the joker and the clown in school, cheering up people, as I grew up I went through quite a lot, eventually in high school I was totally a different person. I skipped school a lot and lost most of my friends. It came to the extent I dropped all post that I held in school. I was totally looked down at even by my own friends.\n\nI lost my mom when I was 8, one month after my father was discharged from the hospital, the same year my father was medically boarded and was told by his doctors that he can never walk again. Two years later he passed away, and that was the turning point in my life. I was 16 and orphaned.\n\nI have no right to complain about my life as I had a much better life than many orphaned children, thanks to my stepmom who was and is always by my side. However I did not realise that I was going into depression, skipping school, always locking myself in my room. No one realised it except one aunty who is the wife of my late father's friend.\n\n![IMG_0901.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmW6W94WoKiaQPNKpsxkVxBVBn9ojYNv7Jgq7NZXhqDUnc/IMG_0901.JPG)\n \nShe introduced to me her rabbits, and asked to look after the sick ones, some were having very bad flu and infection in wounds, from the moment i started to care for them and nurse them, I felt really big changes in me. I felt really happy being with them, always looking forward to go home to see them. Always making sure their cage was clean, it gave me a positive vibe. I started to be Cheerful again although not fully yet.\n\nNow 10 years working with cats and rabbits I have never felt better. The power of animal healing is truely amazing. Animals never ask for something that is beyond our limits or for something too much. They just want a warm loving home and some foods and of course someone they can curl up with. \n\nImagine coming home everyday to free cuddles and knowing someone is waiting for you at home. I was 16 and orphaned.\n\nI have no right to complain about my life as I had a much better life than many orphaned children, thanks to my stepmom who was and is always by my side. However I did not realise that I was going into depression, skipping school, always locking myself in my room. No one realised it except one aunty who is the wife of my late father's friend.\n\n![IMG_0901.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmW6W94WoKiaQPNKpsxkVxBVBn9ojYNv7Jgq7NZXhqDUnc/IMG_0901.JPG)\n \nShe introduced to me her rabbits, and asked to look after the sick ones, some were having very bad flu and infection in wounds, from the moment i started to care for them and nurse them, I felt really big changes in me. I felt really happy being with them, always looking forward to go home to see them. Always making sure their cage was clean, it gave me a positive vibe. I started to be Cheerful again although not fully yet.\n\nNow 10 years working with cats and rabbits I have never felt better. The power of animal healing is truely amazing. Animals never ask for something that is beyond our limits or for something too much. They just want a warm loving home and some foods and of course someone they can curl up with. \n\nImagine coming home everyday to free cuddles and knowing someone is waiting for you at home.
