      "body": "![alejandro_magno_india.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmaJDoHGsnpfkwNTp8Qe7WHGwShG9t8T6tSPtBWHaRwRvS/alejandro_magno_india.jpg)\n\n><div class=\"text-justify\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dentro de la mayoría de los eventos históricos relacionados a la expansión y el progreso de naciones, se presentan siempre las llamadas Conquistas; proceso mediante el cual ciertas naciones ocupaban el territorio conquistado para luego someter a sus pobladores aborígenes a la autoridad del estado e implantar una sociedad y una cultura de acuerdo con sus intereses y creencias.\n \n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Los temas relacionados a las conquistas siempre han sido reflejados de manera heroica dentro de los libros de historia, esto se debe a que en su mayoría, las conquistas representaban las expansiones de grandes imperios, y por lo tanto, promovía el progreso e implantación de nuevas  naciones. Como por ejemplo las maratónicas conquistas de Alejandro Magno; joven príncipe de 20 años que imbuido de filosofía soñaba con multiplicar las conquistas y unir oriente y occidente. En 12 años creo uno de los mayores imperios de la historia que se extendía desde Egipto hasta la India. Nótese como de manera casi gloriosa es descrito en muchos artículos de diversas enciclopedias y narrada en sin fin de documentales la vida de este personaje, quien invadió y tomo por la fuerza tierra, ríos, bosques, animales y personas, para instituir de manera autoritaria su cultura e ideales exterminando hasta cierto punto razas, costumbres, principios y valores de las distintas poblaciones que encontró en su camino.\n \t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;El presente enfoque de mi artículo está dirigido a dar una mirada a la otra cara de la moneda, desde la perspectiva de los conquistados, esos quienes en innumerables ocasiones se vieron obligados a dejar sus tierras, e inclusive  algunos hasta en necesidad de abandonar incluso su cultura y principios. Hare mención de un caso histórico cuyo personaje de renombre nos dará una muestra de lo referido, y anexare además como referencia a una gran película que considero en mi opinión, pretendió mostrar la crueldad y maldad desmedida de una conquista fundamentada en lo que casi siempre desean en su ambición los hombres de poder mucho más  PODER.\n\n![geronimo-1-655x368.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmbW38n7oedvUAKVy8FPHDP1d7ZvBDD2xwCYdMCiWLC32i/geronimo-1-655x368.jpg)\n\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Comenzare en 1609 cuando apenas unos pocos inmigrantes ingleses fundaron Jamestown, en Virginia, entre ellos y el remoto Pacífico se extendía un vasto territorio ya ocupado por aproximadamente medio millón de indios de distintas tribus. Justo 300 años después, falleció el último gran jefe apache, Gerónimo, pues en el transcurrir de ese período de tiempo estos pocos inmigrantes se convirtieron en millones, los cuales persiguieron, exterminaron y redujeron a apenas doscientos mil indios, dichas tribus, algunos de ellos terminaron expulsados y confinados en inhóspitas reservas viviendo en condiciones de degradación y miseria. Durante esos 300 años, rudos colonos fueron invadiendo sus tierras, quienes protegidos por sus ejércitos desmedidos les conquistaron, quitándoles todo cuanto poseían. Durante muchos años Gerónimo combatió la invasión de los conquistadores inmigrantes ingleses, desde 1850 cuando tuvo su primera victoria en batalla junto a otro gran rebelde jefe indio, Magnus Colorado, hasta 1886 donde admite su segunda rendición y es tratado como un bandido y condenado a trabajos forzados. En 1903 se ve forzado abandonar su cultura y principios al convertirse al cristianismo.\n &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Gerónimo anciano piel roja hostigado desde su juventud por los poderosísimos invasores, muere en 1909 convertido en un símbolo útil para la flamante conciencia nacional norteamericana, quienes por durante muchos años realizaron muchas películas con la finalidad de mostrar a los indios como salvajes, como criaturas que atacan sin razón, las cuales producían terribles matanzas de niños y mujeres; y solo cuando en realidad se ha visto el interés de conocer a fondo el modo de vida y creencias de los nativos americanos, se pudo observar que sus tradiciones eran muy respetuosas con la naturaleza, y que siempre transmitían importantes lecciones como vivir en sintonía con el medio ambiente. Solo hasta hace poco personas como James Cameron se han atrevido a realzar un enfoque de lo que esas conquistas representaron a través de su película AVATAR, tratando de desmentir lo que por muchos años solo reflejaba lo que los poderosos por su ambición y deseo egoísta querían mostrar de los indios, considero que Cameron muestra claramente el orgullo indómito que ha caracterizado a través de los tiempos a muchas de las distintas tribus aborígenes conocidas, además de el magnífico respeto y valoración que los indios dan a su tierra, y a los animales con quienes la comparten. Quienes no la hayan visto les recomiendo verla, véanla y admiren el mensaje que pretende dar.\n\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Comparto con ustedes un fragmento (que en mi opinión fue analizado por Cameron para su película), de un gran discurso del gran Jefe indio Seattle quien siendo una figura prominente entre su gente, se convirtió al catolicismo y como gran líder buscó un camino de cooperación con los nuevos colonos estadounidenses que evitaran contiendas que terminaran en muertes y en el posterior exterminio de su raza.\n \n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Palabras del Jefe Seattle cuando pretendían los colonos comprarles las tierras que habitaban.\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Pero... ¿Quién puede comprar o vender el cielo o el calor de la tierra? Esa idea es para nosotros extraña. Ni el frescor del aire, ni el brillo del agua son nuestros. ¿Cómo podría alguien comprarlos? Aún así, trataremos de tomar una decisión. \n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Mis palabras son como las estrellas: eternas, nunca se extinguen. Tenéis que saber que cada trozo de esta tierra es sagrada para mi pueblo. Cada aguja de un abeto, cada playa de arena, cada niebla en la profundidad de los bosques, cada claro entre los árboles, cada insecto que zumba es sagrado para el pensar y sentir de mi pueblo. La savia que sube por los árboles es sagrada experiencia y memoria de mi gente.\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Los muertos del hombre blanco olvidan su tierra de origen cuando van a caminar entre las estrellas.
