      "body": "“The effect of bringing up a child in the way he or she should grow”\n\nI’m uneager to write this because I don’t see anything wrong with what they did. But it was, I guess, kind of age inappropriate. I think we need to know the power of parents and how we affect our kids mindset! Let’s talk about this, I need your views on this topic.\n\nThey didn’t allow me to do this. They taught me how, and asked me to do it. From the time I was old enough to pour a beverage in a glass, I was making cocktails for my parents. I remember making them around age eight so it might have started earlier than that time.\nMy dad liked scotch on the rocks, I called it “the cracker”. That was super easy. Just fill a short glass with ice and top with scotch. My mom liked liquor with pop, like rum and coke, rye and ginger ale, or gin and lemon-lime. That was pretty easy too. Fill a tall glass with ice, then a bit of booze, then top with soda. I also opened bottles of wine and poured glasses of it. I knew a properly served glass of wine is only about 1/4 full before I struck puberty.\nI loved it, especially the mixed drinks because I got to drink whatever pop was left in the can afterwards. I didn’t get to drink much pop as a kid so that was a treat.\nI made drinks for other adults who came over for visit or vacay, mostly relatives. I don’t remember anyone finding it odd or rather call it fluky.\nAnd obviously, yes, I tasted alcohol as a child. I didn’t even sneak it. I don’t remember the specifics but my parents allowed me to try a sip of rum and coke or something like that, and I hated it. They knew I would hate it. I couldn’t fathom why anyone would ruin coke like that, and they just said adults like to drink it that way. (They never got drunk around me, so I didn’t really make the connection between the one or two drinks they’d have and the drunkenness I’d seen on TV and in movies:)\nI think this was a amazing way to introduce their child to alcohol. It wasn’t some mysterious, dangerous, enticing thing to me. It was bittersweet, enjoyable, and entirely commonplace. If there’s one thing I I’ve learned it’s you to take it easy in life, too serious  that sort of thinkin that been keepin us chained\nAt the bottom and hanged\nhe strangest fruit that you ever seen, ripe with pain. The moment you loose the ability to laugh and goof up, even when times are tough, is the moment you lose your sight of what this life is all about.\nI drink because I want to. I smoke weed like am blowing the dust, make sure “I go to the moon” sometimes I just want to escape being sober, in a world with different level of de*on! I try to find the joy in every day. I wasn’t forbidden from doing it, and that meant I had nothing to rebel against. As a result, I never had a real rebellious phase.\nBut I can definitely see why some people might raise an eyebrow at a seven year old tending bar for her parents, ridiculous right? He only wanted the man who’d slept with the mother of his child “to know it wasn’t OK to mess with his family.”\n![CA431E52-3BDB-438C-A5FF-96AAAC9002C5.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQrjKAKkfhjdrygknSCVryxquW4SKbmbFwQifxa28KX83/CA431E52-3BDB-438C-A5FF-96AAAC9002C5.jpeg)\nFleurizard, 26, of West Palm Beach was arrested Monday along with that man’s former girlfriend, who is accused of handing Fleurizard the gun, coming along for the 3-mile police chase and hiding drugs between her legs.\n\nEllen Fitzpatrick, 21, of Jupiter Farms faces multiple drug-related charges. A judge ordered that she be released from the Palm Beach County Jail under supervision after posting an $11,000 bond. \n\nFleurizard, a former William T. Dwyer High School football standout, will remain in jail, a judge ordered, because he had just been released from prison in June. Fleurizard faces a slew of charges, including multiple counts of aggravated assault and driving-related offenses. \n\nJupiter police received multiple calls shortly before 4:30 p.m. Monday about a shooting on Summer Avenue, north of the Alternate A1A Bridge, according to department records.\n\nOne was from the man Fleurizard and Fitzpatrick seemingly targeted. He’d been visiting with someone at a home on that street and asked a friend to pick him up. \n\nThat friend told police that while he was waiting for the man, Fleurizard approached him “demanding to know who was in his car.” The driver answered that he was alone and Fleurizard left in a BMW. \n\nHis friend eventually got into the car and the driver began to leave. As he did, the BMW raced up behind the car, then passed it and blocked it at a stop sign. \n\nFleurizard, who the passenger knew as “Slim,” got out of the BMW and Fitzpatrick handed him a gun through the window, witnesses said. Fleurizard then approached the passenger side of the other men’s car and screamed at the driver’s friend.\n\nFleurizard was “furious” the man had slept with the mother of his child, the man told police. And Fitzpatrick was upset he’d ended their relationship, he said.\n\nFleurizard made the gun noticeable, at one point twirling it around his ear, witnesses said. When the driver saw the gun, he threw the car in reverse, crashing into several mailboxes in trying to get away. Fleurizard fired a shot, then jumped back behind the wheel of the BMW and sped off after the men’s car out of the neighborhood.\n\nPolice found one spent shell casing in the area, records show.\n\nFleurizard raced after the car, at one point forcing it onto a curb. He admitted to chasing the men’s car through town — crashing into multiple cars along the way — until Jupiter police stopped him in the parking lot of the Culver’s frozen-custard stand on Military Trail.\n\nGun drawn, an officer approached the BMW and yelled for everyone inside to put up their hands. Fleurizard riffled through the SUV, until, finally, he stuck his hands out the driver’s side window. \n\nAn officer “immediately recognized Fleurizard.” He was “a regular violent felony offender,” the officer wrote, and didn’t have a valid driver’s license.\n\nThe officer held him and Fitzpatrick at gunpoint until backup patrols arrived.\n\nWhen questioned, Fitzpatrick told officers they’d find text messages and phone calls between her and her ex-boyfriend from the previous night. She said she was trying to set up a fight between him and Fleurizard. \n\nFitzpatrick does not face charges related either to the shooting or the chase.\n\nAs officers led her into the police department, they noticed she wasn’t walking normally. She told the officer, “I have (expletive) on me.” The officer asked if she meant marijuana. \n\n“Not just that,” Fitzpatrick responded. \n\nThe officer found 23 small bags of heroin, a bag of cocaine, multiple crack cocaine pieces and three oxycodone pills between her legs.       "body": "“If you’re black, you’re treated more harshly by the criminal justice system than if you’re white.”\n\n\nThose were the words of Theresa May as she stood outside Downing Street in her first speech as prime minister. It was a somewhat surprising acknowledgement from the leader of a party which is not exactly renowned for its record on racial equality.\n\nAnd yet, just as the former home secretary’s 2017 campaign mantra of a “strong and stable government” is becoming more and more comical with hindsight, her earlier promise to “build a better Britain” for everyone, regardless of their background, is also proving to be little more than lip service. Any ounce of blind faith in the Conservative party’s dedication to helping black Britons was quickly dissolved by the Windrush scandals.\n\nWhile the black British population has long been aware of its subordinate status in the eyes of institutions – the justice system in particular – the statistics released today are no less harrowing.\n\nAccording to an investigation conducted by The Independent, which analysed figures from 2009-2017, one in four black teenage boys convicted of homicide were handed maximum jail sentences. Not one white teenager was sentenced to more than 10 years. And that’s because the majority of black teenagers found guilty of homicide are convicted of murder (for which the result is often life in prison), while their white peers are more likely to be convicted of the lesser crime of manslaughter.\n\nAs Labour MP David Lammy, who last year released his government review of racism in the criminal justice system, outlined, the disparity in sentencing partly boils down to a deeply entrenched mistrust of the system among young black men. A sense of scepticism that, understandably, makes them less likely to believe that pleading guilty will actually result in a shorter sentence.\n\nWe have so many issues we are faced with as humans but this particular issue has been long eating us, even til this day. We are in a world where you rate people according to their skin colors. If you are black you risk being discriminated by the white folks, their see you as ape, no upgraded ape. It doesn’t say much of you  human if you have this thing called racist mentality. \n\nLet’s talk about the airport. I was on a trip with my my friend to UK some couple of months ago, he’s a white guy, on our entering the security checkpoint, I was personally asked to step aside for some check like I was on some kinda interview, was hit with several questions as if I was the only one at the airport. While my bud (white guy) yelled at on of the security over the lot of questions I was been asked he said “we came here together, why does he got to be ask all of this many  questions” “we came here together but am left out with no question” why does he got to answer all the questions” believe me I was so angry that I nearly canceled the trip UK that day. I wondered to myself why am I the only one to be search. I wasn’t in possession of any prohibited item or whatsoever but in seems like I was the Osama of 2017! We’ve do something about this act, cause it already eating. If you’re a judge make sure you see the both sides are coming, and do well to make enquiry rather then favoritism and skin color!
