Streptococcus mutans y Streptococcus sobrinus son las bacterias que se adhieren a nuestros dientes y se alimentan de los restos de comida que consumimos a diario. Esto provoca que se generen los ácidos que amenazan nuestra salud oral y afectan a nuestros dientes y encías.\n\nY así como las bacterias que causan la gripe pueden viajar de un lado a otro, estas bacterias también.\n\n \n\n<b>Las bacterias de las caries viajan de persona a persona</b>\n\nYa sea por compartir una bebida o por besar a un ser querido, las bacterias que causan las caries pueden pasarse de una persona a otra. Varios estudios han comprobado que “contagiarse de caries” no sólo es posible, sino que es más frecuente de lo que pensamos.\n\nLa forma más común es de los padres a sus hijos. Un ejemplo es cuando la mamá prueba un alimento para ver si no está caliente o incluso cuando “limpia” con su boca un cubierto o su chupón.\n \n\n<b>Algunos pasos para evitar el contagio de bacterias</b>\n\n¿Qué puedes hacer para reducir el riesgo de transmitir las bacterias que causan las caries? Te damos estas recomendaciones:\n\n* Cepillarte diario los dientes y, sobre todo, usar hilo dental.\n* Mastica goma de mascar libre de azúcar. Esto promueve la producción de saliva, la cual ayuda a quitar las bacterias y la * placa dentobacteriana.\n* Evita compartir bebidas y cubiertos con personas con malos hábitos de salud dental.\n* No compartas tu cepillo dental.\n \n\n<b>¿Ya te contagiaron de caries? Or maybe you want to walk for 3 minutes and head to one of my favorite Taco restaurants: <strong>Tacos Tumbras</strong>. If you're in the mood for a real hamburger (no, McDonald's BS!) you can eat a great burger at <strong>Ruben's Hamburgers</strong> and finish the day off with an ice cream cone at <strong>Santa Clara's</strong>; all in the same shopping square!</p>\n<p>And if you're really into tasting great seafood just head over to <strong>El Pescao'</strong>, one of my favorite seafood places us locals like to eat at! Again, no BS commercial, gringo-priced seafood! Si eres mamá primeriza, tal vez tienes muchas preguntas sobre qué esperar de la dentición de tu bebé. En este Blog te diremos cómo se desarrollan sus dientes de leche y cuándo darán lugar a sus dientes permanentes.</p>\n<h2><strong>La dentición del bebé inicia antes de su nacimiento</strong></h2>\n<p>Mucho antes de que nazca tu bebé, sus dientes empiezan a desarrollarse en sus encías. Because last time I went (about 3 weeks ago) there was no BTM in sight :(\n\nI manage a local Dental Office (Smile Acapulco) here in Acapulco and we're very interested in offering BTC as a means of payment. Actually, we're in talks to be a sponsor of the next Anarchapulco; hopefully that will come through.\n\nWe actually found out about Anarchapulco thanks to a few patients who came to attend; upon hearing what the event was about we where immediately hooked!
