      "body": "![image](https://img.esteem.ws/bbpgo83yan.jpg)\n\n\nLos seres humanos somos asimétricos por naturaleza, nuestro corazón está en el lado izquierdo del tórax, nuestro pulmón derecho es diferente al izquierdo, el hígado se encuentra en el derecho del abdomen… Nuestro cerebro y, por ende, nuestro comportamiento no iban a ser diferentes, la mayoría de nosotros usamos preferentemente una mano frente a la otra.\n\nVentajas evolutivas de la lateralidad\nLa lateralidad, o el dominio de un lado del cuerpo sobre el otro, tiene implicaciones en muchos ámbitos de nuestra vida. Así por ejemplo, a nivel deportivo, ser zurdo ofrece ventajas competitivas en algunos deportes, como el béisbol, el tenis, la esgrima o el boxeo.\n\n\nCuando se compara la lateralidad en los chimpancés, se observa que cuando caminan a cuatro patas no hay preferencias, pero que tienden a realizar más acciones con una mano en el momento que caminan erguidos. De aquí se deduce que tener una mano dominante debió representar algún tipo de ventaja evolutiva cuando adoptamos la bipedestación.\n\nPor otra parte, los científicos defienden que cuanto más social es un animal, en donde la cooperación es muy valorada, mayor tendencia hay a usar un lado del cuerpo. Esto se debe a que una sociedad es más eficiente cuanto mayor es el grado de cooperación. Esto se ha traducido, en lo seres humanos, en que la mayoría somos diestros –el 90%-. Entonces, ¿el diez por ciento de zurdos representa el hecho de que no seamos totalmente cooperativos?\n\nLa razón evolutiva que subyace debajo de la lateralidad es, al menos en teoría, que al compartir la misma mano dominante, podríamos prestarnos entre nosotros diferentes adminículos, como son las herramientas. Todo esto está muy bien, pero ¿por qué la mano derecha en lugar de la mano izquierda?\n\nHabía zurdos en la prehistoria\nLa lateralidad izquierda está «mal vista» y tiene una connotación peyorativa, al menos lingüísticamente. Así por ejemplo, en inglés la expresión «to be left» también significa «ser torpe»; en italiano «sinistra» nos remite irremediablemente a «siniestro» y en francés, «gauche» viene del verbo latino que significa tanto errar como vagabundo.\n\n\nTenemos evidencias sobradas de personas diestras en la prehistoria. Las pinturas rupestres muestran rostros humanos con la mirada dirigida hacia el lado izquierdo, que es la tendencia artística de los diestros a la hora de dibujar perfiles faciales. Estas pinturas también nos muestran figuras humanas sosteniendo utensilios y armas en las manos derechas.\n\nTambién disponemos de pruebas fehacientes de que había «pintores prehistóricos zurdos». En las paredes de la Cueva del Castillo (Cantabria) hay impresas cuarenta y cinco manos «en negativo». Cuando nuestros ancestros del Paleolítico superior las llevaron a cabo tuvieron que apoyar una mano en la roca y cubrirla con un mineral rojizo triturado. Si el artista era diestro la mano que apoyaba era la izquierda, y a la inversa, si era zurdo, la mano en negativo que legó a la posteridad era la derecha, con el pulgar situado a la izquierda.\n\nPues bien, de las cuarenta y cinco manos, seis de ellas tienen el pulgar a la izquierda, lo cual representa el 13% de la muestra, una cifra bastante similar al porcentaje de zurdos que hay en la actualidad. La cifra, si no multitudinaria, si es relevante teniendo en cuenta que se trata de un evento de reciente creación que surgió de forma espontánea a raíz de un post publicado en Linkedin por Carlos García, uno de sus promotores, invitando a sus contactos a asistir a compartir una cena para conocerse personalmente. El post, con pocas pretensiones al principio, se hizo más viral de lo que se esperaba y desde entonces la idea se materializa en el evento #Ponte Cara que se organiza, de forma alternativa, en las ciudades de Madrid y Barcelona. La revista Emprendedores colabora con la iniciativa a la que, en esta tercera edición, se sumaron otros patrocinadores, como la marca bodeguera Marqués de la Concordia ,que agasajó a todos los asistentes con un regalo. En la organización figuran también empresas como la agencia Zoopa o Reason Why, entre otros.\n\n“Esto va de hacer networking”, dijo Carlos García para dar paso a un encuentro que  coordinó el actor y humorista Javi Sancho. 4 ponentes y 20 voluntarios para presentar durante 45 segundos un “elevator speech” sobre su empresa era lo previsto en el programa antes de que los asistentes se adentrasen en las dinámicas de networking. Antes, aprovechando que el evento coincidía con el Día Internacional de la Mujer, Andrea Franco, de Emprending Topic , otra de las organizadoras, hizo una mención a las mujeres precisando que ni el día debería existir ni ella tendría que hacer esta mención \"porque el día de la mujer, debería celebrarse a diario\".\n\nUn secreto para triunfar\nCipri Quintas se define a sí mismo como SEO de personas. Suyo es el título solidario ‘El libro del networking’ a punto de lanzar la sexta edición y cuyos beneficios los destina a la Asociación Mensajeros de la Paz, del Padre Ángel, la Fundación Irene Villa y a la Fundación Sandra Ibarra. Pero Quintas es también un emprendedor nato, que montó su primera empresa a la edad de los 18 años y, a día de hoy, ha abierto más de 34 locales en el sector de la hostelería a los que se añaden varios negocios en el entorno digital y social media. Imposible negar el éxito con dicho bagaje cuya clave situó el primer ponente de la noche en un secreto: “tener en la agenda un montón de gente que te quiere, que te apoya y se preocupa por ti” , es la definición personal que Quintas hizo del triunfo.\n\nEn cuanto a la forma de nutrir esa agenda de calidad personal recomendó a todos desarrollar la habilidad de hablar escuchando, la base de su teoría de networking, junto a perseguir la empatía y entablar relaciones surgidas desde la premisa de dar y ayudar antes de considerar lo que tú puedes conseguir. “Ese es el truco más importante en las relaciones con las personas: dar e invertir en el corazón de la gente. Esta es la inversión más rentable”. Finalizó su ponencia recordando una herramienta al alcance de cualquiera, fácil, sencilla y barata que no es otra que acostumbrarse al uso de la palabra mágica: gracias.\n\nLo que marca la diferencia\nY si Cipri Quintas se inició joven en el mundo de los negocios, más prematura fue la segunda ponente de la noche Yaiza Canosa, CEO fundadora de Letsgoi, empresa logística que para ella, con 25 años, representa su tercer emprendimiento. También ella subrayó el hecho de saber rodearse de buenas personas, primero, y buenos profesionales, después, como el principal mérito de un emprendedor para llegar a la cumbre. “Las personas que integran una empresa son las que marcan la diferencia. Ellas son el eje de todo”, dijo. Y de ello partió su principal consejo para otros emprendedores. “Ten claro lo que quieres ser, en qué te quieres diferenciar y rodéate de buena gente que te ayuden y compartan tu sueño”.\n\nMás pragmática fue la visión del networking que ofreció el tercer ponente, Carlos Ortet, CEO de Zoopa, cofundador de #Ponte Cara pese a reconocer que él, personalmente, no era un entusiasta de practicar el networking. “Lo que sí lo veo es cada vez más necesario…casi una cuestión de supervivencia”, aclaró, aludiendo a un mundo cada vez más global y conectado. El riesgo de no trabajar una fuerte presencia digital es, en su opinión, caer en la invisibilidad, “que es lo mismo que desaparecer”. Abogó también por la conveniencia de organizar eventos como el de #ponte cara por la tendencia generalizada que tenemos de relacionarnos con personas afines a nuestra manera de pensar y actividad de forma que el resultado final conduce más al aislamiento que a la diversidad. “Estamos yendo a un modelo en el que las personas que piensan igual se refuerzan restringiendo su mundo solo a lo que quieren ver”.\n\nUn evento de networking puede acabar con esta dinámica al propiciar encuentros aleatorios, más ventajosos y enriquecedores que los exclusivos. “La gente se debe conocer físicamente y debe reunirse de manera aleatoria, no por interés o por bondad, sino más bien por un tema de salud social”, defendió Ortet. Observó también que las ideas solo trascienden cuando son capaces de provocar cambios en las personas. “Al final de lo que estamos hablando siempre es de conexión. De hecho no hay ningún cambio tecnológico en la historia de la humanidad que sea significativo si no ha conseguido conectar de manera diferente con las personas, eso es lo que hizo importante a Internet”.\n\nTambién Lupina Iturriaga, CEO y cofundadora de Fintonic  , un marketplace del sector financiero, reconoció que nunca hubiesen reunido los 450.000 usuarios activos actuales de no haber sido por no tener siempre el foco en los clientes como personas. Convertidos en tres años en la sexta entidad financiera de España y ya con más de 74 empleados, Iturriaga está convencida de que el éxito de su empresa ha derivado de “poner el poder en mano de los usuarios y de proporcionarles siempre el mejor producto a cada uno de ellos”, desde la condición de independencia de las entidades bancarias y aseguradoras. La suya sería la prueba de que las relaciones, en las que ambas partes comparten los beneficios, funcionan a escala empresarial.\n\nDiversidad y coincidencias aleatorias\nUn buen ejemplo de lo que Carlos Ortet había referido antes como “encuentros aleatorios” lo representaron los 20 voluntarios que, en un pitch de 45 segundos, expusieron su idea de negocio.
