| body | Are you struggling to get what you want in life? It’s probably because you don’t have a plan of action Most people struggle with planning because they either want to let life unfold on a daily basis, or they are constantly distracted by what’s happening around them to start planning for the future. If one of these two scenarios sound’s familiar, this article will provide you with tips you can use to create a plan for your future.
Step 1 – What’s the Big Picture?
Before writing down a plan of action for what you want to get in your life you need to take a step back and think about the big picture, or what you hope to accomplish in life. Do you want to start a business? Get a new job? Move to another state? Travel more? Have children? You can accomplish anything if you first define the thing or goal that you hope to accomplish just so you will know your final destination once you achieve or accomplish what you’ve been working so hard for.
Step 2 – Break Your Plan Down into Steps
It doesn’t matter if your goal is to graduate from college or to buy a house, you have to break your goal down into a plan that contains actual steps. The reason for this is simple. Steps make any goal attainable, especially if they are little steps that you can take on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis which move you closer to accomplishing your goal.
Step 3 – Celebrate Milestones
As you start completing those steps on the road to accomplishing your goal you should celebrate those milestones because you want to acknowledge or show your brain that you’re making progress toward accomplishing your goal and most importantly the fact that anything you want in life is attainable. Step 4 – Use Tools to Help You Stay on Track In this day and age, it’s not hard accomplishing a plan especially if you use tools to help you make progress on a daily basis. By tools I’m not actually talking about hammers, shovels and rakes. I’m talking about calendar programs on your phone/computer/tablet, alarms, and reminder services that you can program on a daily basis to help you not forget about important parts of your plan or other things that need to be done to help you follow through. I hope that some of these steps help you accomplish your goals and live the best life possible! |

| body | 11 years is a long time to be married but to me, it seems like I got married yesterday because I’m still as in love with my wife as I was the day we got married. On the day that we got married, I had no idea what I was getting myself into but I’ve learned a lot about marriage over the years and I want to share with you a few of the things that have helped my marriage to continue going strong over 11 years.
#1 – Invest in Your Marriage
Make no mistake about it, marriage is a partnership and you have to be willing to give something if you expect to get something in return. Early on I recognized this and quickly realized that if I wasn’t investing anything of myself into my marriage that it would quickly die out.
#2 – Listen to Your Spouse
Most men don’t like to listen, and I’m one of them, but I also realized soon after getting married that if I didn’t start listening to what my wife was saying she soon thought that I was intentionally ignoring her. How did I start listening more to my wife? I remove the distractions when she starts speaking and make sure that I’m actually listening to what she’s saying. This includes putting down electronic devices because, if my focus is somewhere else, I can’t honestly say that I’m listening to what she’s saying.
#3 – Learn from Your Mistakes
Marriage is a partnership but it’s also a “university” or school that never ends. I realized this early on and to this day I work hard at learning from mistakes that I make in our marriage so that I don’t continue making the same mistakes over and over again.
#4 – Eliminate the Distractions
My wife and I met in January 2007 and got married in April 2007. This is an extremely short period of time to meet someone and get married. As you can imagine, there were lots of people around us who were questioning our decision to get married and one of the best things we ever did was tune those people out to focus on our marriage. Due to a wildfire, we actually moved to another part of the state that we lived in and this actually “forced” us to work together and become a couple. 11 years later, we both look back on the events that forced us to move and realized that leaving our hometown was the best thing that ever happened to us. You may not be able to move but you can tune out those negative people in your life especially if they are encouraging you to leave your marriage. #5 – Recommit Yourself to Your Marriage Every Day Last of all, but most important, another important lesson I learned in my marriage is to recommit myself to my marriage and relationship EVERY DAY. This hasn’t always been easy to do, especially if my wife and I have a disagreement, but the reality is that staying committed to our relationship, and committed to working our problems out, has kept me in this marriage and helped our marriage to continue going strong for 11 years. I hope some of these tips will help you in your marriage! |

| body | Natalie Wood was 43 years old when she died on November 29th, 1981 as a result of drowning and undetermined factors. Although Wood’s acting career wasn’t what it once was at the time of her death, she was a beloved actress due to her performances in movies like Miracle on 34th Street and West Side Story. Both movies kept her fresh in the minds of her fans who grew up watching her on screen in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. Unlike some celebrities who have faded from public consciousness over the years, Wood hasn’t faded away, she’s remained in the spotlight because of the mystery surrounding her death.
Why?
The answer is simple. The public loves a good mystery and countless writers have written about her over the years, continuing to feed that hunger for answers that may never die.
Sheriff’s Investigation
In light of the recent Los Angeles County Sheriff’s continued investigation into her death one has to ask the question: why does the cause of her death matter anymore? Wood’s family and her children would most likely want to see a resolution to the investigation and even a suspect brought to light, but as the 40th anniversary of her death is getting closer, the odds of a killer being brought to justice are slim to none.
Robert Wagner
There’s no doubt that the best suspect in the investigation surrounding her death is Robert Wagner. Especially since he reportedly was the last person to see her alive, but did he kill her? That’s a question we may never get an answer to. Robert Wagner is 87 years old now, Christopher Walken is 74, and it’s unlikely that either man will be any help when it comes to shedding new light on the case unless one or the other attempts a deathbed confession. Both men are still active in Hollywood, to some degree, so it’s unlikely that you will see either actor spill the beans on the other, especially if they made a pact following her death to not tell the authorities what really happened about the night she went in the water. If real information about her death was available one has to ask why did it not come to light 30 years ago when the men involved were much younger and potential witnesses could more easily recollect what they saw? Instead of recounting what they “might have saw” over 30 years later? Yes, it’s sad Natalie Wood will never receive justice if she was killed that night, either directly or indirectly by Robert Wagner’s actions, but the truth is that 37 years have passed and the odds of a Wagner confession/conviction, or Wood’s real killer facing justice, are extremely unlikely. |

| body | I’ve been a movie fan my whole life and have always enjoyed a good action movie, including Steven Seagal’s movies. By the late 1990’s my taste for Steven Seagal’s movies changed because I was in my early twenties and regarded his movies in the same light as 1970’s TV shows. They were tired, old, and boring. I didn’t start watching Steven Seagal movies again until the mid-2000’s when I got married. After settling down with my wife I realized that she loved Seagal’s movies, had all of them on DVD, and enjoyed watching them multiple times….. Although I previously swore that Seagal’s movies were “terrible”, I slowly started watching them again and grew to like them.
Not That Bad…
By the mid-2000’s, Seagal had become a “pioneer” of the direct-to-DVD- movie market since most of his new movies could be found on DVD at local movie rental outlets like Hollywood Video, or grocery stores, instead of being released in the theaters first. I became a fan of his newer movies like Shadow Man, Into the Sun, and The Keeper because these movies had “okay” stories, lots of action, and for the most part gave Seagal the ability to showcase his martial arts without looking like the aging action star that he was. Much like Chuck Norris and his Walker Texas Ranger character, Seagal’s direct-to-DVD movies kept his fans interested in his career and with his work on television shows like True Justice, there was hope that his career could have a second life on TV. Unfortunately, True Justice only lasted for a few seasons and Seagal continued on making 2-3 action movies per year, mostly in Eastern Europe, or Russia, where he’s admired by Russian President Vladimir Putin and was given a Russian Passport. Maybe it was Seagal’s role as Russian enforcer in 2009’s Driven to Kill that led Putin to give him the Russian Passport?
Image Problem
Steven Seagal’s direct-to-DVD acting career continued going strong until about 2010 when for whatever reason he seemed to stop caring about his image on the screen and his roles in movies like Born to Raise Hell, Absolution, and Force of Execution showed the worse possible version of him on screen. Sadly, by 2015 Seagal’s movies got even worse with his new goatee/beard and orange colored glasses that he’s worn in every movie he’s made over the last five years. Worse than his image problem on screen, Seagal has also continued to act in terrible movies (End of a Gun) in recent years that had bad scripts and are prime examples of action movies at their worst. Why have his movies been so bad recently? It could be the fact that Seagal has continued to make his movies in Eastern Europe where he’s still revered as an action movie star, or it could be that he’s no longer working with an agent who can advise him on which scripts he should pick and which ones really suck. Now at the age of 65, Steven Seagal should either retire from making movies and focus on his law enforcement career or recommit himself to making good movies once again.
Can Seagal Stage A Comeback Again?
In this day and age of movie stars acting into their late 60’s and 70’s, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Seagal can revive his movie career, like Sylvester Stallone’s movie career, was revived following the success of his Expendable’s trilogy. One good comeback movie on the horizon for Seagal is Above the Law 2 but if Seagal doesn’t prepare for that role and show up as the Steven Seagal that fans expect (like he did for Exit Wounds), it’s likely that Seagal will continue making crappy movies until producers stop sending him scripts. |
