      "body": "## What?\nWhen it comes to discussing Scripture, politics, amazing products or any other topic for that matter, most of the time the discussion contains about 10% facts and about 90% opinion. That is their opinion, their preference. Is it a fact that all the other ice cream is inferior? Obviously not, especially to those who love Chocolate Ice cream or any other flavor, who could claim their flavor is the best.\nThe same goes for religion, almost everyone claims their religion is the correct and only one. Since there are so many different religions, like different flavors of ice cream, it is very hard to get an unbiased *opinion*.\n\nAnd then it is still that person's *opinion*, not a fact. For example, you might think an atheist has no religion so let's ask him which religion is best... Then (s)he gives his/her *opinion* that may differ from another Atheist's *opinion*...\n\nSo how do you apply this? That is one reason why people distrust politicians. \n\nAnyway, when readers detect *logical fallacies*, the fallacious statements *backfire*, on the person making them, by making the audience think the speaker or writer is either (a) stupid, naive or unintelligent or (b) deceptive, dishonest or lying. \nIf readers fail to recognize the errors and believe it, they spread rumors, half-truths or full out lies without knowing it.\nThus, it is very important to use good logic and avoid fallacies in your own arguments.\n\nIt is also important to be able to *spot them in others' arguments* so that a fallacious line of reasoning won't fool you. Think of the list of logical fallacies as a tool for accurate thinking. Something you can show the other person to help free their mind of mind traps. Let the truth set you free.\n\n## How Do You Allow The Truth To Set You Free?\nThere are many things you can do and here are a few.
