      "body": "There has always been an array of people for whom Bible Christianity is seen as a house of cards. They reject the Bible and its teachings wholesale and base their objections on what people who claim to be Christians do or find some Bible teaching they disagree with and proceed to disregard all of it.\n\nPhilippians 3:18-19\n18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)\n\nBut these days, even though there are no new arguments against Bible Christianity, there's certainly a new aggressive and more rebellious attitude. People like Ray Kurzweil and Elon Musk, two technology giants who believe they can achieve eternal life, not through Jesus Christ, but rather through the fusion of man and machine or what's more commonly known as \"the singularity.\"\n\nMatthew 7:26\nAnd every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:\n\nThe Bible predicts that one day, these elites will get what they long for, but when they do, they won't want it for very long.\n\nRevelation 9:5-6\n5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.\n\nChristianity isn’t going to go away and just because our technology becomes more advanced, and those who reject Biblical Salvation scream louder, Bible Christianity has durability because Jesus Christ is eternal in the heavens, and the house of those who reject Him is built on sinking sand.",

      "body": "Got Friends?\nIf you make it clear to me that you don't want me around for whatever reason, you will not have to tell me twice. I'm gone! For those of us who value close friends we would do just about anything for them and we wouldn't forsake them in their time of need. \nPsalms 41:9\nYea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. \nThere may be times in life where we don't have anyone close to us, outside of immediate family members. It is in these times we can fully trust that Jesus Christ, is not only our Savior, but also our good friend. Now, we may brush that off, and see Jesus being our friend as something we know superficially, but don't see how it really applies in our daily life. \nIf we find ourselves in a situation, where friends have forsaken us or we just feel lonely for no particular reason, Jesus wants us to know how miraculous His friendship is. \nJohn 15:13\nGreater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.\n\"You mean, I can be best friends with Jesus?\" Yes! \n\"You mean, I can tell Jesus stuff in private and He won't post it on Face book?\" Yes! \n\"You mean, I can talk to Jesus and count on Him, and trust Him, and through His word, He'll talk back to me?\" Yes!\nIn fact you can be all alone and have no one else in the world, like the Apostle John on the Island of Patmos, and still have the eternal bond of friendship with Jesus. \nHebrews 13:5\nLet your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.",

      "body": "Perhaps your familiar with the New Testament story of the rich young ruler.\n  \n Luke 18:18-24\n18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. 20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. 21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!\n\n To help us understand the meaning of this account, let's consider what the rich ruler actually asked Jesus. He did NOT ask Jesus, \"What shall we all do to inherit eternal life?\" he asked, \"What shall I do to inherit eternal life.\" His question was directed at himself, and Jesus being God knew this man's heart. This is why he was sorrowful when he heard Jesus' answer, \"sell all that thou hast.\" His possessions were his god, and that fact meant he wasn't as righteous as he thought.\n\n Jesus never commanded that everyone who wanted to follow Him had to sell everything in order to do so. He certainly never gave that command to the women of substance, who ministered unto Him.\n\n Luke 8:3\nAnd Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. \n\n Why do so many people believe that God's word honors individuals who are poor and condemns individuals who are wealthy? I believe the answer is envy. Now, God's word does condemn, greed, oppression, selfishness, thievery, and not being charitable. \n\n But these are attributes of morality and conditions of a person's heart, not issues of a person's monetary wealth. \n\n There are other examples of rich individuals in the Old Testament, who God doesn't condemn for being well off.   In fact, quite the opposite, God honored wealthy men like Job and Abraham and even with all they went through, those two Old Testament figures treated others according to what was morally right, and that's what God cares about.\n\nProverbs 24:17\nRejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:\n\nJohn 15:12\nThis is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.\n\nRomans 12:18\nIf it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.",

      "body": "Ruth 1:20-21\n20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?\n\nHave you ever found yourself in a horrible situation, and blaming God for it? If we're honest with ourselves, the answer is \"yes\" at least once, perhaps twice in our lives. Naomi, at a time when tragedy has hit her life, asks her people to, 'Call me Mara' (Call me Bitter).\n\nBeing resentful over bad experiences, or some unjust treatment by another is natural, and it's part of our sinful flesh. But, if we don't let go of our anger and resentment, sooner or later it will eat away at us like a cancer, and greatly hinder our spiritual walk. It's interesting that God's word links bitterness with iniquity\"\n\n\nActs 8:23\nFor I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.\n\nGall is bile, and in our physical bodies, bile is an acid held in the gallbladder, until needed. That acid breaks down fats, that can then be taken into the body by the digestive tract. In our spiritual walk the gall of bitterness can be used by the enemy to break down our desire to reach out to God, and without the Lord's power to resist temptation, our gall of bitterness can lead us into the bondage of iniquity.\n\nIf we find ourselves having a bitter attitude it's important to be obedient to God's word, and apply His remedy in those rancorous situations.\n\nEphesians 4:31\nLet all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.",

Hate is a strong word, a very strong word, but it's used time and time again in the Bible. It's impossible to have true, unconditional love without hating the enemy that seeks to destroy it.\n\nI look at it this way, how can one love being in great health, without hating horrible diseases? Or how can one love a beautiful pristine mountain lake, without hating the ugly garbage people might throw into it?\n\nThe truth is one loves as much as one hates, the more a Christian loves God, the more he hates sin. The more a Christian loves what Jesus loves, the more he hates the things that are against Christ.",
