There’s no doubt about that. Jones took more risks than Mayweather. Robinson took risks but there wasn’t as many talented fighters during Robinson’s era than during Jones Mayweather could have fought more talented guys, but he was always so careful in picking his opponents.\n<a href=\"https://imgbb.com/\"><img src=\"https://image.ibb.co/gcueDx/Roy_Jones_Jr_sees_himself_as_P_4_P_greatest_of_all_time.jpg\" alt=\"Roy_Jones_Jr_sees_himself_as_P_4_P_greatest_of_all_time\" border=\"0\"></a>\n\nJones Jr. calling himself the greatest of all time is a little hard to believe, because he was a shot fighter by the time he’d been a pro for 15 years. Sugar Ray Robinson (174-19-6, 109 KOs) had a much more productive career in winning a lot more fights than Jones Jr., and he was still beating top fighters even in his 20th year as a pro. Jones Jr. was over-the-hill by 15th year with him getting knocked out by Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson.\n\n“Even the great Sugar Ray Robinson, the pound-for-pound guy that he was, couldn’t win the light-heavyweight title after turning pro as a welterweight,” Jones said. “He had a difficult time trying that. So that tells you how hard it is to jump up that kind of weight and win. So, pound-for-pound the greatest of all time? It isn’t hard to figure out, Roy Jones Junior is your king of the hill.”\n\nSugar Robinson lost to Joey Maxim by a 13th round knockout in June 1952. The temperatures were extremely hot during the fight. The referee Ruby Goldstein had to be replaced due to him being overcome by the 104-degree temperature inside the ring. Robinson losing the fight is understandable. Under better conditions, he might have beaten Maxim to win the light heavyweight title.\n\nREAD  Roy Jones Jr. - Sigmon Live On UFC Fight Pass®\nThe only thing you can say about Jones Jr. is that when he was at his best, he was one of the most talented fighters in the sport. Trying to gauge whether Jones was better than Robinson, Mayweather, Sugar Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali is impossible to do. What makes it hard to say that Jones was the best fighter of all time is the fact that once his speed diminished, the boxing fans found that he can’t take a punch. To be the best of all time, you got to be able to take a shot a lot better than Jones. Sugar Ray Robinson had a good chin. When Robinson was past his prime like Jones, he wasn’t getting knocked out by his competition. Robinson lost decisions late in his career, but he was able to avoid getting knocked out.\n\n\nDuring the first 15 years of Jones’ career, he beat some very good fighters. His best wins during this time came against these fighters:\n\n•\tJorge Castro\n\n•\tGlenn Thomas\n\n•\tBernard Hopkins\n\n\n•\tThulani Malinga\n\n•\tJames Toney\n\n•\tThomas Tate\n\n•\tVinny Pazienza\n\n•\tEric Lucas\n\n•\tMontell Griffin\n\n•\tVirgil Hill\n\n•\tLou Del Valle\n\n•\tOtis Grant\n\n•\tReggie Johnson\n\n•\tEric Harding\n\n•\tDerrick Harding\n\n•\tGlenn Kelly\n\n•\tJohn Ruiz\n\n•\tAntonio Tarver\n\nTo be the greatest fighter, you’ve got to have a chin, and Jones couldn’t take a shot once his hand speed disappeared. To me that makes it impossible to rate Jones above Robinson as the greatest fighter of all time. Robinson was a more complete fighter than Jones. Robinson had speed, power, boxing skills and a good chin. Jones got over by having great speed. When that disappeared, Jones lacked the boxing skills, defense and the chin to still compete at an elevated level. When Robinson lost his hand speed, he still had his boxing skills and his chin that helped carry him to a 25-year pro career.",

      "body": "Melbourne vet and animal welfare advocate Dr Hugh Wirth dies aged 78\n<a href=\"https://imgbb.com/\"><img src=\"https://image.ibb.co/kZ1hTx/1517826228517.jpg\" alt=\"1517826228517\" border=\"0\"></a>\nWorld-renowned animal welfare advocate and respected local veterinarian Dr Hugh Wirth, AM, died on Monday after living with Parkinson’s disease for more than a decade.\n\nDr Wirth is credited with numerous successful animal welfare campaigns including ending puppy tail docking and stopping the export of horses to Japan for slaughter.\n<a href=\"https://imgbb.com/\"><img src=\"https://image.ibb.co/kZ1hTx/1517826228517.jpg\" alt=\"1517826228517\" border=\"0\"></a>\nHe was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 1985 and in 1997 was namedVictorian of the Year.\n\n“Dr Hugh was a tireless worker and a forthright, strong leader who was not afraid to standup for what he believed was right,” RSPCA Victoria chief executive Dr Liz Walker said.\n“He was passionate, incredibly knowledgeable and tenacious. Dr Hugh was at the forefront of many of the improvements we have seen in animal welfare in my lifetime.”\n\nThe beloved vet bought Balwyn Veterinary Surgery in 1967 and practised there for 47 years until he retired.\n\nDuring this time, he became the first non-European president of World Animal Protection and was the trusted resident vet on ABC Radio Melbourne’s Saturday morning show.\n<a href=\"https://imgbb.com/\"><img src=\"https://image.ibb.co/kXs0Fc/1517826228517_1.jpg\" alt=\"1517826228517_1\" border=\"0\"></a>\nIn 2012 he told The Age that he had to quit his his long-time position as an inspector at the Royal Melbourne Show because his illness meant he was no longer so adept at dodging wayward cattle.\n\n''I'm not dying or anything silly like that. I'm just not as good on my feet,'' he said at the time.\n\nThe same year he released his autobiography, My Life with Animals.\n\nThe book documented Dr Wirth's political battles with 1960s RSPCA stalwarts, the Australian Veterinary Association and governments.\n\nIn the book, he claimed the federal government gave in to a push to set up an Animal Welfare Advisory Committee in 1980 when then conservation minister Vasey Houghton fell asleep in a meeting.\n\nWhen he awoke, says Dr Wirth, Mr Houghton asked, ''Now, where were we?'' to which Dr Wirth said he and RSPCA colleague Peter Barber replied: ''Well, Minister, you just agreed to form the AWAC.''\n\nRSCPA Victoria said despite his declining health, Dr Wirth remained involved with the organisation in recent years as its patron and as a member of its Animal Welfare Policy Committee.\n\n“Dr Wirth leaves an incredible legacy,” Dr Walker said.\n\n“RSPCA Victoria will treasure his memory and honour his work by continuing to advocate for the continual advancement of animal welfare in our society.”",

But it was not always thus.\n\nThere was a time when the ancient kingdom of Nehekhara stood as a crown of human civilisation; a golden age when its cities shone with majestic splendour, its armies conquered entire nations and its kings ruled as gods among men. But this realm was razed millennia ago by the treacherous sorcery of reviled Nagash: in a stroke, the living perished and the dead rose from their tombs.\n\nDeath is no barrier to glory for the Tomb Kings however. In unlife, they will see the empire of Nehekhara restored to greatness!\n\n<img src=\"http://cdn.edgecast.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/617870/extras/GIF2.jpg?t=1516638179\" />\n<h2 class=\"bb_tag\">Campaign gameplay</h2>\n<strong>Objectives </strong>\nWhile Tomb Kings can be played in the Eye of the Vortex campaign, they do not seek to influence the vortex, and therefore do not engage in the race for control of it. Instead, they seek the nine cursed Books of Nagash, a search culminating in an epic battle at the Black Pyramid of Nagash itself. Each of these books grants a unique campaign bonus, and puts the player a step further along the road to victory.\n\n<strong>Unique resource: Canopic Jars</strong>\nAncient containers filled with arcane energy, Canopic Jars can be collected through missions, buildings, and as post-battle loot. They are used to awaken powerful units, unlock techs, perform rites and to craft unique items in the Mortuary Cult.\n\n<strong>The Mortuary Cult</strong>\nKeepers of the Lore of Nehekhara and the secrets of revivification, the Liche Priests of the Mortuary Cult can be called upon to construct unique and venerable items. Using a combination of trade resources and Canopic Jars, the player can order the construction of unique magic weapons, armour, talismans, plus enchanted and arcane items. For a cost, the Mortuary Cult can also resurrect powerful Legions of Legend for use in your armies.\n\n<strong>The Dynasties of Nehekhara</strong>\nRather than developing new technologies, the Tomb Kings seek to unearth the achievements of their dynastic forbears. By studying these histories, players can resurrect great rulers of the past to serve as Lords for their armies, increase capacity for the various Tomb Kings Heroes, unlock a host of campaign and unit buffs, and awaken the Heralds of ancient armies – unique followers who bring powerful bonuses to key unit types in an army.\n\n\n<strong>Rites</strong>\nThe Tomb Kings have four unique Rites which may be unlocked and used in campaign:\n\n<strong>Great Incantation of Ptra</strong>\nInvoking the sun god summons Ptra’s Necrotect, a unique Hero character capable of colonising ruins at city level 3.\n\n<strong>Great Incantation of Khsar</strong>\nInvoking the god of the desert wind generates sandstorms across all player-owned regions. This causes attrition to foreign armies, increases your ambush success chance and confers the army ability Sand Veil (enables a unit to become Hidden and gain Stalk in battle, making them invisible to the enemy until they draw very close).\n\n<strong>Great Incantation of Geheb</strong>\nInvoking the god of strength increases Canopic Jar generation and province growth, reduces construction time, and confers the army ability Tombswarm (a swirling swarm of Scarabs which damages the target and moves in the same manner as a vortex spell).\n\n<strong>Great Incantation of Tahoth</strong>\nInvoking the god of scholars adds a Casket of Souls magical artillery unit to the recruitment pool. It also confers a rank bonus to newly recruited Tomb Kings and unit recruits, and increases recruitment capacity factionwide.\n<h2 class=\"bb_tag\">Legendary Lords</h2>\nThe Tomb Kings feature four playable Legendary Lords, each with their own abilities, campaign bonuses, skill trees, quest-chains and campaign start-positions in both the Eye of the Vortex campaign and Mortal Empires.\n\n<img src=\"http://cdn.edgecast.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/617870/extras/GIF3.jpg?t=1516638179\" />\n\n<strong>Settra The Imperishable</strong>\nSettra is the king of all Tomb Kings. He is a ruthless leader whose thirst for conquest knows no bounds. Unlike other Tomb Kings, his unyielding will is such that he never needs to return to his sarcophagus to rest. The immortality he so desired in life is now his, and the civilisations that flourished in his absence now feel his wrath.\n\nSettra is a great leader, bringing bonuses to growth and public order, while reducing construction time. He also confers bonus armour to Skeleton Chariot and Tomb Guard units, and has a selection of unlockable mounts, including the Khemrian Warsphinx and the flame-wreathed Chariot of the Gods.\n\n\n<strong>High Queen Khalida</strong>\nThe Warrior-Queen of Lybaras was famed for her intelligence, honour and bravery. Her reign was cut tragically short by her cousin Neferata, who had attempted to create the Elixir of Life. Instead of true immortality though, Neferata’s flawed potion granted the twisted form known as Vampirism, and as the first Vampire slew her cousin in combat, she granted her the Blood Kiss. With her last breath, Khalida cried out to Asaph, the serpent goddess, who purified her of the taint. She is now the Goddess’ chosen, with Asaph’s divine venom coursing through her veins.\n\nKhalida reduces all forms of corruption, enjoys a diplomatic relations bonus with other Tomb Kings factions and grants a hefty bonus to ammunition for all ranged units across her faction. She also confers poison attacks on all units in her army and suffers considerably less from attrition effects.\n\n\n<strong>Grand Hierophant Khatep</strong>\nThe head of the Mortuary Cult’s Hieorphantic Council, Khatep is the oldest and wisest of the Liche Priests, and the first of them to deny death’s embrace. It was Khatep who awoke Settra to unlife after Nagash’s Great Ritual levelled Nehekhara, but Settra’s distrust of the Mortuary Cult led him to exile Khatep. Now he roams the Land of the Dead, assisting the Tomb Kings where he can and seeking a way to restore himself in the eyes of Settra.\n\nKhatep grants a bonus to Dynasty research rate, and improves casualty replenishment and army movement factionwide. He can also recruit a higher number of Liche Priest Heroes, and recruits them at a higher rank.\n\n\n<strong>Arkhan the Black</strong>\nNagash’s principle lieutenant, Arkhan helped lead the coup which brought the hated arch-necromancer to initial power. He led many armies against Nagash’s enemies, and was finally slain in a suicidal counter-attack against the Priest King’s soldiers that enabled Nagash to escape. He was raised again by his master to become the Liche King, and for countless generations since Nagash’s death at the hands of King Alcadizaar, he has vented his wrath on the lands of the living.\n\nArkhan enjoys bonus diplomatic relations with Vampire Counts factions, and his regions never suffer public order penalties from Vampiric corruption. Heroes embedded in his army gain melee attack and melee defence bonuses, and all his armies factionwide gain a boost to their Winds of Magic Power Reserve.\n\n\n<strong>New Lord: Tomb King</strong>\nTomb Kings are the principle Lords which lead the armies of Nehekhara. A number will appear as standard in the recruitment pool, but unique, named Tomb Kings – famous rulers from the six dynasties of Nehekharan history – may be resurrected via the Dynasties panel, at which point they enter your Lords recruitment pool. Tomb kings may unlock the Skeletal Steed, Skeleton Chariot, and Khemrian Warsphinx as mounts.\n\n<strong>New Hero: Tomb Prince</strong>\nFollowing the example of their kings, Tomb Princes aspire to greatness in all things. They form the principle champions of the Nehekharan forces in battle, and have a unique Curse ability which makes targeted enemies enter a state of Rampage. Tomb princes may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeletal Chariots as mounts.\n\n<strong>New Hero: Liche Priest</strong>\nThe adepts of the Mortuary Cult are the Tomb King’s principle sorcerers. They may be recruited to wield the Lore of Light, the Lore of Death, or the Lore of Nehekhara, and have a unique Curse ability which reduces enemy armour values. They also gain the Immortal skill earlier than other agents. Liche priests may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeleton Chariots as mounts.\n\n<strong>New Hero: Necrotect</strong>\nRepresenting millennia of architectural wisdom, Necrotects are the builders and taskmasters of Nehekhara. They perform a number of functions, such as reducing building costs and increasing movement speed when embedded in your armies, but also fulfil a key support role in battle. As master masons, they provide passive aura-based buffs to Construct units such as Ushabti, Tomb Scorpions and Hierotitans, improving their combat abilities in a number of ways. Necrotects may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeleton Chariots as mounts.\n<h2 class=\"bb_tag\">Battle gameplay</h2>\n<strong>The Realm of Souls </strong>\nThe Realm of Souls is the revered afterlife of Nehekharan legend, and the origin of the Liche Priests’ magical power. As more of your warriors fall to the enemy in battle, more souls enter the Realm, which is tracked in the battle UI. At three key thresholds, the Realm of Souls triggers a mass healing-wave among your skeletal units, each wave becoming successively more powerful. After the final wave, the player also gains an army ability allowing them to summon a unit of statuesque Ushabti anywhere on the battlefield.\n\n<strong>The Lore of Nehekhara</strong>\nIn battle, Liche Priests may harness the power of the desert gods and wield the Tomb King’s signature magic, the Lore of Nehekhara.",

It is a lifeless realm of endless dunes, stained red from the blood of savages and barbarians. This is the Land of the Dead, where mummified kings are cursed to rule in perpetual unlife. But it was not always thus.\n\nThere was a time when the ancient kingdom of Nehekhara stood as a crown of human civilisation; a golden age when its cities shone with majestic splendour, its armies conquered entire nations and its kings ruled as gods among men. But this realm was razed millennia ago by the treacherous sorcery of reviled Nagash: in a stroke, the living perished and the dead rose from their tombs.\n\nDeath is no barrier to glory for the Tomb Kings however. In unlife, they will see the empire of Nehekhara restored to greatness! \n\n\nCampaign gameplay\n\nObjectives \nWhile Tomb Kings can be played in the Eye of the Vortex campaign, they do not seek to influence the vortex, and therefore do not engage in the race for control of it. Instead, they seek the nine cursed Books of Nagash, a search culminating in an epic battle at the Black Pyramid of Nagash itself. Each of these books grants a unique campaign bonus, and puts the player a step further along the road to victory.\n\nUnique resource: Canopic Jars\nAncient containers filled with arcane energy, Canopic Jars can be collected through missions, buildings, and as post-battle loot. They are used to awaken powerful units, unlock techs, perform rites and to craft unique items in the Mortuary Cult. \n\nThe Mortuary Cult\nKeepers of the Lore of Nehekhara and the secrets of revivification, the Liche Priests of the Mortuary Cult can be called upon to construct unique and venerable items. Using a combination of trade resources and Canopic Jars, the player can order the construction of unique magic weapons, armour, talismans, plus enchanted and arcane items. For a cost, the Mortuary Cult can also resurrect powerful Legions of Legend for use in your armies. \n\nThe Dynasties of Nehekhara\nRather than developing new technologies, the Tomb Kings seek to unearth the achievements of their dynastic forbears. By studying these histories, players can resurrect great rulers of the past to serve as Lords for their armies, increase capacity for the various Tomb Kings Heroes, unlock a host of campaign and unit buffs, and awaken the Heralds of ancient armies – unique followers who bring powerful bonuses to key unit types in an army. \n\n\nRites\nThe Tomb Kings have four unique Rites which may be unlocked and used in campaign:\n\nGreat Incantation of Ptra\nInvoking the sun god summons Ptra’s Necrotect, a unique Hero character capable of colonising ruins at city level 3.\n\nGreat Incantation of Khsar\nInvoking the god of the desert wind generates sandstorms across all player-owned regions. This causes attrition to foreign armies, increases your ambush success chance and confers the army ability Sand Veil (enables a unit to become Hidden and gain Stalk in battle, making them invisible to the enemy until they draw very close).\n\nGreat Incantation of Geheb\nInvoking the god of strength increases Canopic Jar generation and province growth, reduces construction time, and confers the army ability Tombswarm (a swirling swarm of Scarabs which damages the target and moves in the same manner as a vortex spell).\n\nGreat Incantation of Tahoth\nInvoking the god of scholars adds a Casket of Souls magical artillery unit to the recruitment pool. It also confers a rank bonus to newly recruited Tomb Kings and unit recruits, and increases recruitment capacity factionwide.\n\nLegendary Lords\n\nThe Tomb Kings feature four playable Legendary Lords, each with their own abilities, campaign bonuses, skill trees, quest-chains and campaign start-positions in both the Eye of the Vortex campaign and Mortal Empires.\n\n\n\nSettra The Imperishable\nSettra is the king of all Tomb Kings. He is a ruthless leader whose thirst for conquest knows no bounds. Unlike other Tomb Kings, his unyielding will is such that he never needs to return to his sarcophagus to rest. The immortality he so desired in life is now his, and the civilisations that flourished in his absence now feel his wrath. \n\nSettra is a great leader, bringing bonuses to growth and public order, while reducing construction time. He also confers bonus armour to Skeleton Chariot and Tomb Guard units, and has a selection of unlockable mounts, including the Khemrian Warsphinx and the flame-wreathed Chariot of the Gods.\n\n\nHigh Queen Khalida\nThe Warrior-Queen of Lybaras was famed for her intelligence, honour and bravery. Her reign was cut tragically short by her cousin Neferata, who had attempted to create the Elixir of Life. Instead of true immortality though, Neferata’s flawed potion granted the twisted form known as Vampirism, and as the first Vampire slew her cousin in combat, she granted her the Blood Kiss. With her last breath, Khalida cried out to Asaph, the serpent goddess, who purified her of the taint. She is now the Goddess’ chosen, with Asaph’s divine venom coursing through her veins.\n\nKhalida reduces all forms of corruption, enjoys a diplomatic relations bonus with other Tomb Kings factions and grants a hefty bonus to ammunition for all ranged units across her faction. She also confers poison attacks on all units in her army and suffers considerably less from attrition effects. \n\n\nGrand Hierophant Khatep\nThe head of the Mortuary Cult’s Hieorphantic Council, Khatep is the oldest and wisest of the Liche Priests, and the first of them to deny death’s embrace. It was Khatep who awoke Settra to unlife after Nagash’s Great Ritual levelled Nehekhara, but Settra’s distrust of the Mortuary Cult led him to exile Khatep. Now he roams the Land of the Dead, assisting the Tomb Kings where he can and seeking a way to restore himself in the eyes of Settra.\n\nKhatep grants a bonus to Dynasty research rate, and improves casualty replenishment and army movement factionwide. He can also recruit a higher number of Liche Priest Heroes, and recruits them at a higher rank. \n\n\nArkhan the Black\nNagash’s principle lieutenant, Arkhan helped lead the coup which brought the hated arch-necromancer to initial power. He led many armies against Nagash’s enemies, and was finally slain in a suicidal counter-attack against the Priest King’s soldiers that enabled Nagash to escape. He was raised again by his master to become the Liche King, and for countless generations since Nagash’s death at the hands of King Alcadizaar, he has vented his wrath on the lands of the living. \n\nArkhan enjoys bonus diplomatic relations with Vampire Counts factions, and his regions never suffer public order penalties from Vampiric corruption. Heroes embedded in his army gain melee attack and melee defence bonuses, and all his armies factionwide gain a boost to their Winds of Magic Power Reserve. \n\n\nNew Lord: Tomb King\nTomb Kings are the principle Lords which lead the armies of Nehekhara. A number will appear as standard in the recruitment pool, but unique, named Tomb Kings – famous rulers from the six dynasties of Nehekharan history – may be resurrected via the Dynasties panel, at which point they enter your Lords recruitment pool. Tomb kings may unlock the Skeletal Steed, Skeleton Chariot, and Khemrian Warsphinx as mounts.\n\nNew Hero: Tomb Prince\nFollowing the example of their kings, Tomb Princes aspire to greatness in all things. They form the principle champions of the Nehekharan forces in battle, and have a unique Curse ability which makes targeted enemies enter a state of Rampage. Tomb princes may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeletal Chariots as mounts.\n\nNew Hero: Liche Priest\nThe adepts of the Mortuary Cult are the Tomb King’s principle sorcerers. They may be recruited to wield the Lore of Light, the Lore of Death, or the Lore of Nehekhara, and have a unique Curse ability which reduces enemy armour values. They also gain the Immortal skill earlier than other agents. Liche priests may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeleton Chariots as mounts.\n\nNew Hero: Necrotect\nRepresenting millennia of architectural wisdom, Necrotects are the builders and taskmasters of Nehekhara. They perform a number of functions, such as reducing building costs and increasing movement speed when embedded in your armies, but also fulfil a key support role in battle. As master masons, they provide passive aura-based buffs to Construct units such as Ushabti, Tomb Scorpions and Hierotitans, improving their combat abilities in a number of ways. Necrotects may unlock Skeletal Steeds and Skeleton Chariots as mounts.\n\nBattle gameplay\n\nThe Realm of Souls \nThe Realm of Souls is the revered afterlife of Nehekharan legend, and the origin of the Liche Priests’ magical power. As more of your warriors fall to the enemy in battle, more souls enter the Realm, which is tracked in the battle UI. At three key thresholds, the Realm of Souls triggers a mass healing-wave among your skeletal units, each wave becoming successively more powerful.       "body": "Bloodbath In Crypto Markets and Bitcoin Price on Fears of Government Crackdown\nThere is a bloodbath in cryptocurrency markets on fears of a crackdown by governments across the world. Apart from Tether (which has parity with the U.S. dollar), all other cryptocurrencies were in the red and had shed values in double-digits. At 14:19 UTC, the overall market valuation for cryptocurrencies tumbled to $566.2 billion, down by 20% from its value 24 hours ago.\n\nAt one point last morning, it crashed to $536.5 billion, down by 30% from its price 24 hours earlier. The price of a single bitcoin was $11,825.70, a decline of 17.27% from its price 24 hours ago.\n\nStellar and Ripple were the biggest losers among the top 10 most-traded cryptocurrencies, as of this writing, down by 26.19% and 25.18%, respectively. The overall declines are not uniform as the chart below shows. Even with today's declines, three cryptocurrencies are still trading positive to their valuations last year. \n\n<a href=\"https://imgbb.com/\"><img src=\"https://image.ibb.co/g5G046/screen_shot_20180116_at_10_18_15_am.png\" alt=\"screen_shot_20180116_at_10_18_15_am\" border=\"0\"></a>\n\nGovernment Crackdown Spurs Declines      \nThe prospect of a crackdown by governments in China and South Korea, among the largest trading venues for cryptocurrencies, is being cited as the primary reason for declines in prices. South Korea had threatened to ban cryptocurrency trading last year but backtracked from its stance on Sunday. Yesterday was another story, however. In a radio interview, the South Korean finance minister said shutting down cryptocurrency exchanges was still an option but that it needed “serious discussion” first. \n\nAfter banning cryptocurrency exchanges in 2017, China is cracking down on other venues for trading of digital currencies. A Bloomberg report quotes unnamed sources as saying “the government plans to block domestic access to homegrown and offshore platforms that enable centralized trading.” But the report does not provide a proper definition or provide examples of such platforms.\n\nSouth Korea is the world’s third-largest trading venue for cryptocurrencies after Japan and the United States. Ripple and Ethereum, the world’s second and third most-traded cryptocurrencies, owe recent spikes in their prices to trading on Bithumb, South Korea’s largest exchange. \n\nKerrie Walsh, assistant economist at Capital Economics, told the Wall Street Journal that moves by the governments had “clearly rattled” investors. “The more widespread Bitcoin becomes, the more likely it is that stricter regulations will be enforced,” she said. \n\nBitcoin Price Manipulation Flashback \nEven as bitcoin’s price crashes today, perspective is necessary. \n\nA new paper in the Journal of Monetary Economics sheds light on how two bots, run by a single person, pumped up bitcoin’s price from $150 to $1,000 in two months on Mt. Gox, an exchange that crashed back in 2013.\n\nAccording to the paper, approximately 600,00 bitcoins valued at $188 million were “fraudulently acquired.” Its authors found that trading volumes spiked when Markus and Willy, the two bots, were in the game. The spike brought in other, human investors resulting in a virtuous cycle that drove up prices through artificial demand. The exchange profited by pocketing the transaction fees. Not surprisingly, the paper’s authors claim that thin markets (or markets without enough liquidity) made manipulation easy. \n\nA similar situation exists today. There are 1,385 cryptocurrencies in the market today, and trading volumes, even for the largest cryptocurrencies, are susceptible to sharp spikes and dips. While multiple reasons are put forward as explanations for cryptocurrency price movement, none of the reasons is plausibly consistent. Bitcoin whales and automated bots are still in the game. (See also: Bot Activity Plays A Major Role In Cryptocurrency Price Swings.) More investors, especially institutional ones, will bring liquidity to bitcoin markets and stabilize its price. The Coxes, always late to the party, are at their heartiest right now and for a few weeks to come. You can rummage respectfully, taking care not to bruise, looking for something with a deep fragrance and skin unblemished enough to eat without peeling. I have never known this kitchen without an apple or two. An apple to crunch absentmindedly or to bake or to slice for a tart. Others to shave into a salad of walnuts and celeriac or to pair with cheese. And then there are those I cook for breakfast.\nFirm, not overly sweet varieties, such as the Cox, are my favourite for stewing. A bowl of stewed Coxes sits in the fridge right now. I make it once a week in the cold months. If I have time, the fruit, roughly chopped and unpeeled, will have been simmered with a little bag of cloves, cinnamon and allspice berries. If not, then baked in a dish on the shelf under the Sunday roast, their snowy fluff scooped out of the skins and into a bowl.\nThis squirrel’s store of stewed apple may be sweetened or not, depending on the variety. As a rule I add sugar to none save the most tart of Bramleys. An apple purée is an excellent morning call stirred into warm, sweet rice pudding or a bowl of oat porridge. Sometimes, it is eaten freckled with chia, hemp or linseed and berries, and served with a spoonful of cream cheese. However you choose to use it, a bowl of stewed apple is a useful thing to have around.\nThis, traditionally, is the week of wassailing – the ancient country ritual where apple orchards are toasted with cider and song. There is much temptation to do the same to my little Discovery tree at the top of the garden. An uptight city garden such as mine could do with a bit of pagan revelry.\nShallot and apple tart\nAn upside-down savoury tart, this is something I have put on the table many a time, but made with pears. This time I used apples.\nServes 6 For the pastry: plain flour 225g butter 120g egg yolk 1 thyme leaves 2 tsp Parmesan 4 tbsp, finely grated\napples 2 banana shallots 4, medium butter 30g olive oil 2 tbsp\nYou will also need a tarte tatin tin or a metal-handled frying pan measuring 24cm in diameter.\nPut the flour into the bowl of food processor, add the butter in small pieces and process to the texture of fine breadcrumbs. Add the egg yolk, thyme leaves and grated Parmesan, process briefly, then transfer to a lightly floured board and bring together into a ball. Of course you can do this by hand, rubbing the butter and flour together with your thumb and fingertips (a peaceful flour-dusted thing to do), then fold in the yolk, thyme and cheese. Wrap in clingfilm or greaseproof paper and leave to rest.\nSet the oven at 200C/gas mark 6. Peel the shallots, then halve each lengthways. Melt the butter with the oil in the tatin tin or frying pan over a moderate heat, then add the shallots, cut side down. Let the shallots brown lightly then turn them to let the other side colour. Meanwhile, halve, core and slice each apple into 8 segments. Remove the shallots from the pan, then add the apples, letting them soften and turn lightly gold. Scatter a heaped tablespoon of grated Parmesan over the pan, then return the shallots.\nRoll the pastry out to a good 3cm larger than the tin or frying pan. Lay the pastry over the shallots and apples, tucking in the overhanging dough. Bake for 25 minutes until the pastry is pale biscuit-coloured and the butter is bubbling round the edges. Remove from the oven, leave to settle for 10 minutes then turn out on to a serving plate.\nBarley porridge with mulled apples\nLovin’ spoonful: barley porridge with mulled apples.\nServes 4 apple juice 250ml apples 3, large cloves 3 allspice berries 3 cinnamon stick½orange peel 3cm strip butter 10g blueberries 225g water 100ml sugar optional/to tastemedium oatmeal 50g rolled barley flakes 150g milk 300ml cream cheese 100g liquid honey 2 tbsp chia seeds 4 tsp golden linseed 2 tsp\nPour the apple juice into a stainless steel or enamelled saucepan, roughly chop the apples, removing their cores and pips and add to the juice. Place the cloves, cinnamon stick, allspice berries and orange peel in a piece of muslin, secure with string and tuck among the apples.\nBring the apple juice, apples and spices to the boil then let the apples simmer for about 15 minutes until they have started to collapse and have a texture somewhere between purée and stewed apple. Check the sweetness – you may not need any sugar. Stir in the butter and a little sugar or none, as you wish. Remove from the heat and set aside.\nScatter the oatmeal over a shallow pan and toast till golden, shaking the grains to encourage even cooking. Put the barley flakes in a saucepan, pour in the milk, add a pinch of salt and bring to the boil, stirring regularly. Lower the heat, and let the porridge simmer for about 6 minutes until it thickens, then remove from the heat.\nIn a small bowl, lightly mix together the cream cheese and honey. (Over-mix and it will curdle.)\nPut the blueberries in a pan, add the water and bring to the boil. When the berries start to burst, set aside. Grind the linseed a little using a pestle and mortar. Spoon the porridge into deep bowls, add some of the warm, mulled apple, a spoonful of cream cheese and honey, the linseed and chia seeds and lastly a trickle of poached blueberries.",

It is created by one of the creators of Ripple.\n\n“Effectively, the company split and they went out and created Stellar. They are already working with IBM, they are beginning to deal with them to do cross-border payments. \n\n“So IBM has a payment system similar to kind of what Moneygram wants to do. \n\nbitcoin price usd ripple value buy coinbaseGetty•CNBC\n\nBitcoin’s new rival Stellar is like Ripple but better according to trader Brian Kelly\nStellar is faster and cheaper than Bitcoin\n\nBrian Kelly\n\n“It’s faster and cheaper than Bitcoin and what I mean by that is you can move stuff around faster and it’ll cost you less than Bitcoin at this point in time.” \n\nMoneygram announced in January that it will trial Ripple’s XRP digital currency, which Mr Kelly said was a “watershed event” for the industry.\n\nMr Kelly said Stellar is “very similar” to Ripple and has a deal with IMB but is expected to get “bigger margins”. \n\nHe said the partnership with bank IMB is “very important” and Stellar is likely to double the Ripple price and reach over a dollar. \n\nExpert: Cryptocurrency Bitcoin to skyrocket through the year\nPlay Video\nBut billionaire business mogul Warren Buffett warned Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are “certain” to end badly. \n\nSpeaking to CNBC, the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway said: “In terms of cryptocurrencies, generally, I can say with almost certainty that they will come to a bad ending.”\n\nMr Buffet said he is unsure when the cryptocurrencies bubble will burst but he is “certain” it will happen.  \n\nHe said: “I know this. If I could buy long-term puts. If I could buy a five-year put on every one of the cryptocurrencies – I’d be glad to do it.
