She is a Persian cat who loves her photo taken in every angle. She has been with me since she was a kitten and that was about three years ago. Jupiter is more than just a cat. She's my friend. You know what, the more time you spend together, the more you realize how these furry creatures actually have a personality and that they also care for you. They get down when you're sick. They don't eat when they see you cry. They get active when they feel your happy vibes. And they express their happiness whenever you get back from work. Aside from the fact that they become your emotional sponge, they tend to align their energies with yours, as well. \n\nJupiter, as beautiful as she is, is a flirty btch. Yes, she is. During those days where she's on heat, a number of he-cat come outside the house waiting for her to come out. Unfortunately for them, I secured every exit of our house with metal screens. I can't afford to get my baby screwed by some vagabonds. But I guess she enjoys the attention. She sits on an elevated bed that I made just for her watching over the windows as her suitors desperately try to get near her. I also happened to enter it in a contest here on steemit but I might as well post a formal post on it because I thought it would be nice.\n\n# I would like to share my recent sketch with you and how I did it.\n\nFirst, I do a lot of sketches either for my family, friends, professors or even for people who have been referred to me for sketch works. I started doing sketches since when I was in fourth grade having an artist for a mother and a engineer for a father (i don;t know his field actually. but he draws every time in blueprints. I remembered drawing doodles beside him when I was a kid). Seasoned sketch artist know it very well that good sketches require a lot of pencils of different shades to achieve.\n\nAs for this sketch, I used Staedler Drawing Pencil 4H, H, HB and 4B. The lightest shade in the list is 4H, I use it for details in the hair, eyelashes, eyebrows and wrinkles. I also use that as preliminary markers in my sketch so that I will not draw beyond the borders while leaving no line marks behind after the sketch. H and HB are regular shades, I use them for the lighter shadows and contours of the face. I also use them for the main lines and shades especially for the eyes, hair, eyebrows lips, and almost everything. The 4B is the darkest shade that I use whenever I sketch. I use it for the darkest shadows, contours, and lines especially in the dark part of the hair, eyebrows, the end part of they eyes and all the parts of the face where it needs the most emphasis. I play with this pencil most in the eyes especially when I want the eyes to be more realistic. As for this sketch, I used a Staedler eraser. There is also a black version of this but I opted to use this.\n\nErasers in sketches are used to create the illusion of the sketch being 3D. The erasers will enhance the quality of the highlights of the face. It will also enhance the highlighted part of the hair.\n\n*Remember: the greater the difference between the contrast and highlight of the sketch will make a better 3D effect on it. HAHAHA Corona sketch pads are recommendable. Meanwhile, in this sketch I used Denise Sketch Pad. For beginners, I recommend buying smaller sketch pads (size: 9\"x12\") while for those who are willing to go a level higher, larger sketch pads are very handy (sizes 12\"x18\")\n\nI use these sketch pads (Denise and Corona) because the grain and texture of the sheets make it easier to apply shading on the sketch. Some sketch pads are too smooth that when you shade, it will only slide on the surface and your desired effect will not come out. Also, glossy sheets will create marks and dents when you apply pressure on it. the end result will be undesirable. On the other hand, rough 8sheets will make it very difficult to control. I remember my sister telling me that it's irrelevant what process you do, as long as you get an almost precise and accurate copy of the sketch at the end. Well, you know what they say, there are a lot of ways to kill a chicken. lol\n\nAnyway, the first thing you have to do about sketching is to make markers and borders so that you will have a guide upon doing the sketch. (using the 4B pencil) The most common ways of having accurate guidelines are by drawing gridlines, or by freehand (woah! people who do freehand are those who's talent is god level. or the ones who do caricatures. and of course, those who settle for distorted faces. kidding) But me? I just put the paper on the screen of my laptop and turn off the lights. Then, i start to copy the edges and important spots in the face like the eyes, eyebrows, lips, outlines of the face and hair. Probably everything in the face. I do it because it's easier.\n\nThen I start to do the main items of face. This is the sequence of my sketch. *(first to last) left eye, left eyebrow, right eye, right eyebrow, nose, lips, face(shadows) chin and down, hair and up. I do left to right sequence becuase i am a right handed person. When you do it from right to left (being right handed) there is a big chance that your hand will come in contact with the sketched part an smudge the shadows. That could be very disappointing and will make you want to crumple your half-baked sketch.\n\n# SHADING\nWhen I do shading, I really look at the original picture first. I pin point the most highlighted and darkest parts of the face.\n* REMINDER: ALWAYS APPLY SHADING FROM LIGHTEST SHADING TO DARKEST*  with I mean you do the lightest shadings of the face first, then gradually darken the shading. This is important because it is very difficult to correct it if you apply dark shading immediately and you realize that you did it wrongly. It is easier to darken the shade than to lighten a dark shade (erase slowly, blend slowly. it is difficult because when you erase, it will really show where the erased part is. It will leave a mark.)\n\nAlso, one technique I can give upon shading is to NEVER shade directly with you pencil on the paper. Have a separate paper and shade a patch on it (just to put the graphite on the paper) When you have the heavily shaded part on the paper, get a cotton ball and rub it on the shaded patch. That is when you apply the shade on to the face. IMAGINE APPLYING MAKE UP ON YOUR FACE, BUT INSTEAD YOU APPLY GRAPHITE SHADE ON THE FACE ON THE PAPER.       "body": "## HI GUYS!\nIt has been quite a very long time since I lasted posted my art works here. It's just now that I got the time so here is my latest art work. I hope you like it.\n\n*this is my entry for the 50th year anniversary celebration of our university, MSU-IIT. This emerged as champion after it was judged and proclaimed last July 4, 2019. \n\n\n\n# title: *Kinaadman*\n## medium: acrylic on canvass\n## dimension: 3ft x 2ft\n\n*“ The true essence of what it is to become an IITian is to enjoy the painstaking process of transitioning from being bare to being golden. “*\n\nThey say we became IITians because we are a lot of things – we are better than the rest. But to tell you the truth, that’s a myth. An IITian is eclectic; a thirsty vessel that yearns to be filled. An IITian is a blank canvass who frolics in the hard process of what it takes to be a wholly painted artwork.\n\nThe two women are an artistic reflection of an IITian. In the painting, these women are a nod to our culture as Iliganons. Derived from the legend behind our city’s greatest trademark, Maria Cristina Falls, these women represent the two sisters, Maria and Cristina. As one of the prime university of Mindanao, it is our pride to carry the name of our city along with our endeavors and successes. The women’s nakedness depicts the IITians’ discovery of their true identity in the university life. It shows the IITians’ ignorant nudity which begs to be enveloped with the sheets of knowledge. That being true, it is also evident how these women thirst for color amidst their monochromatic state; much like that of how an IITian constantly seeks for greater knowledge knowing that there is still more to learn. With arms and hands wide open, the women open themselves up for improvement and enlightenment - a sponge to the ever flowing knowledge. Aside from that, the women can as well be observed to be enjoying the moment as they try to bathe themselves in gold, wanting to be painted completely. In IIT, the journey towards excellence is by bathing in gold and emerging golden at the end. Though, the years of making that possible might be very difficult, enjoying the process is what makes it worth it. Lastly, the IITian toga is shown swirling around the golden globe. Its dark shade tells us how the road to graduating from the university is difficult and full of challenges but the brightest light that will illuminate the path is the knowledge and learning we get from the school itself.\n\nPersonally, my stay here in IIT has been the best chapters of my life. You might think I’m crazy for saying this but after all those hard years, I’d do it all again, in a heartbeat. I am who I am today because of the incredible insights and growth I gained through what were most definitely my brightest and darkest years. As I enjoy my last semester of stay here in the school, I look back with immense gratitude for the incredible gifts that my stay has bestowed upon me. I already have a female Persian cat named Jupiter. I have been trying to set her up for prospect mates but she just doesn't like being mated with another cat with a breed. I tried to mate her with a Siamese but she ended up fighting with him. She did the same with the Persian and Main Coon studs. As I was scrolling down my feed, I saw this post about 3 Persian kittens being sold for USD 150.  have been eyeing on it since I first saw it and I knew I had to get it. Here in the Philippines, Persian kittens are sold for USD 150-200 when their still in their 3rd to 6th month. We named him Neptune. His color is jet black and his eyes are bluish green. At first he was very timid, but he did adjust very quickly especially that he is still a toddler. Neptune became acclimated very fast inside his room. *We kept him in a separate room at first as to not overwhelm the already dominant cat, Jupiter. We did is so both cats can adjust with each others' scents through the crease under the doors. At first there were the expected hissing, but there were no aggression on Jupiter's part so at least it was a good start. Day by day we started to let them see each other more often and it was a complete success. They were very comfortable with each other and they started playing right there and then. It was a great relief knowing that the new kitten wouldn't get hurt by the already dominant cat in the house. They are already starting to know each other. I guess it helps that the kitten has nothing yet on his mind but food and play time. In that way Jupiter knows that he means no harm, and he is not a threat to her territory.       "body": "You know that feeling of anticipating for a new pair of shoes, or holiday, or a weekend getaway? Sometimes you have that feeling of being enormously excited because you know something good is coming your way? I have been in that kind of euphoria for quite sometime now and it is because my cat, Jupiter, is carrying with her babies. She is pregnant! I am more than excited with her pregnancy this time since she already had given birth before. Unfortunately, that time she gave birth to a still child. I saw my cat cry that time. She was asking for my affection and I can really feel her loss - it was my loss too. Now is another chance for her to become the mother that she will be. She was normally an i-dont-care type of cat. But lately, she became more affectionate towards us. She became more needy for attention and cuddling, and on top of that, she goes wherever I go. She sleeps by my side everytime. However, with that, also comes the frequent mood swings. She became more irritable and easily annoyed. She was the boss. I have read about it somewhere that when cats get pregnant, their motherly instincts are heightened that's in preparation for the coming baby.
