I read things that I find interesting, and some things I read out of necessity such as work related material or even a label while in the grocery isle. I read literally the whole time I am awake . Heck, I may even read in my sleep! Do we see headlines or signs or notes or pages in our sleep? I’m not sure,  but if we do, I’m certain that I read them even if I don’t remember what I read. \nReading is something that we all do, every day, all day. Everyone on this website is here to read.  Why are you reading an introduction from a person you have never met? Are you searching for an answer? Are you doing the same thing I did in reading other people’s introductions, getting an idea of what people write in their introductions? Are you curious about how they are received or which ones get the better rewards? Is it to just get the needed basic information? Is it because you are curious by nature? Is it out of boredom? I don’t know if it is any one thing more than another, but I read for a variety of reasons. I also read a huge variety of subject matter. I’m not a novel reader per se, but I have read a few in my younger days. I now mostly read because I am searching for answers to questions I have. I love to learn how things work.  I have always been a very curious person and have never truly understood when people say they are bored. I can’t think of a single time in my life when I was bored because my mind is always active.\nOkay, I digress, back to the subject at hand, my introduction. Well here goes.....\nI live in the southeastern U.S.A. close to the coast near Savannah Georgia. I have way too many interests, hobbies, and pastimes, but some of the things that I like and am pretty good at I will write about on here from time to time. Since my interests and expertise are so varied, my postings may span numerous categories. Some of the things in which I am involved that I may write about are as follows:\nAviation- I am a FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant Technician (aircraft mechanic) as well as a licensed pilot with around four thousand hour flight time. I have worked for the last 20 years in the aviation quality management field.\n\nMarkets- I have been an active market participant and speculator for a couple of decades and actively trade commodities, stocks, options, forex market, and more recently crypto currencies.\n\nWoodworking- I have been an avid woodworking enthusiast for most of my life. My favorite woodworking is woodturning and live edge furniture projects.\n\nPhotography- I am an amateur photographer who enjoys landscape and macro photography the most. Side note: My daughter and son-in-law are both professional photographers and are my go-to when I have a question that is photography-related.\n\nBoating- Having lived on or near the coast most of my life, I am experienced and comfortable on the water in anything from canoes, john boats, sailboats, offshore fishing boats, and trawlers. I like to fish, and I also am comfortable in the water as I also enjoy snorkeling and am certified in scuba.\n\nMusic- I love and enjoy music. I have many guitars and other stringed instruments around the house.\n\nFood- I like all kinds. I eat often. I enjoy it and I’m very good at it!\n\nThere is more……much more, but I need to cut this off and just say Hi, my name is Robert, and I’m glad to be on Steemit!",
