Finally! \nThat took so long and I'm endlessly sorry.\n\nThe entries for this round were awesome and really inspired me and made me more optimistic about the future of the IFC even in light of how incredibly slow and delayed things have been.\n\nI've mentioned some of this in previous posts, but... Part of the reason for the delay has been something I've been working on and I'm hopeful that it will enable me the funds to start offering cash prizes in the future in addition to the crypto and crystal trophy and artwork stuff.\n\nI noticed one of the biggest barriers this season was that as I was trying to reach my other friends and connections on Facebook and almost no one on Facebook seemed interested I think because they don't understand or really value crypto, so... I need U.S. fiat cash prizes that will appeal to everyone.\n\nIf I'm able to do that and we can restructure things to where I need to physically be present less and maintain the contest less and have the players themselves run it more then I can see some really awesome things happening in the future where the non crypto peoples meet the crypto peoples in a competition and it could help bring even more people over here to Hive and other crypto platforms.\n\nSo... I definitely have not given up on things with the IFC even if it feels like a ghost town around here at times and I am really passionate about the future of the IFC still. \nJust had some real adversity and troubles in my life and had to pay attention to myself and my family for a while and there were other complications as well that I mentioned in the previous updates.\n\nAnyways... Umm... Let's try to have the finals in about a little bit over a month from now on November 28th. \nHowever, I'm going to ask around and if not enough people are available on that date I'm open minded to moving the schedule around a bit so that we can have enough players.\n\nSometime shortly after I post this I'm going to go around and try to contact everyone who scored at least 1 point during the season and try to set up the finals.\nI have a feeling there will be at least two people, so we should be able to finish this even if it's partly by attrition and not what I had hoped in the sense of having more players involved.\n\nEven though the huge delay was not planned and I'm ashamed of it... This contest is suppose to be difficult, so... The one who was patient enough to last through all that and who ends up with the best entries in the finals/championship as voted on by the judges will get the crypto currency prize and a cool/nice little crystal trophy thingy and some artwork drawn up of them. :) \nAnd now... Guest participation and Round creation by players were ideas I liked. We already have guest participation for the finals if someone needs to like bow out for whatever reason, but... To add on to that and make it a more of a regular sort of thing I think would be awesome. The team idea has been proposed before and I like it, however I think it's perhaps still a lil ways off for where we are with users. I think we need more players for that to work better. Also I don't wanna forget the newbies, but I can see not spending so much time trying to bring them into the game and I totally understand that angle. But, I still think there's a good spirit there of trying to help newcomers... \nUltimately most of these things should be voted on, yet the userbase is so small I'm not sure how well voting would even work at this point and that includes the whole P2P judging aspect as well, I think we need to talk about it more after the season and hopefully be able to do a vote, but I do think there's something to the idea of P2P for sure and I think that would be ideal if we could make it work! I concur with most of the rest of what he said in his entry and reading it left me inspired even though things got delayed so much and things have been so slow.\nAnd... I really really really love leaky20's idea about putting the storyline and virtual world at more of the forefront and having the players sort of create a new and better world through that... Hmm... The idea about the other sort of puzzle and word rounds being bonus rounds is an interesting idea... Cause yeah, I don't want to lose those... But, I would like to see more rounds about creating a new virtual world and the new language and other stories and art about the virtual world like that.\nI'm thinking about it more and more and that's a really cool idea... To sort of market it in that way that we're trying to create a new world, especially because that is something I would like to do in life and going in that direction with the IFC could help me learn more about what that might be like in some ways... I once again think the question is in regard to should all those other quests be bonus side quests, or perhaps we can just mix it up more and find a better balance? Definitely something to think about!  \nThis was a pretty tough decision because they both did a great job, but all that considered... I think I'm giving 2 points to leaky20 this time and 1 to jbehreny.\n\njamesrussell - As far as the actual \"assignment\" @leaky20 did a much better job at expressing the answers to the original intent, which was to give suggestions for Season 3 content, even though I am not so sure that that is going to solve the problem, it's taking a chance on participation, as it would have to be crafted extremely well. That guy is an outstanding writer, very well educated and very well informed and imaginative. He only made 2 errors, and he could source each photo to the original authors on Pixabay, but sourcing is a sensitive subject as to the correct way of doing it. Most won't do what I do, but the minimum should be to just source the pic itself to the author. But he does have it sourced enough that with a little work I was able to track every single image. His language skills are amazing, as he expresses himself and articulates those thoughts beautifully.  So in that light, I am giving him 2 coins.\nAs far as @jbreheny is concerned, another excellent post with major suggestions as well, but his were more about everything except for the content, which would have been most excellent if he had included more suggestions on content. His writing skills as far as I am concerned have improved, and he expresses himself very well also. he only made a couple of boo boos, which I did not count against him, and he has an outstanding sense of humor, which I really like. The only negative thing about his post is the lack of sourcing, no blanket statement at the end, and there were only two sources on Tineye that were available for Rodin's statue \"The Thinker\", and I am not sure that he has permission to use that image for commercial usage. So in light overall, I think 1 coin to @jbreheny\nAs I stated, I think that both posts combined could actually help you with styling Season 3 though overall!\n\nviking-ventures - Okay - that's an apple vs orange type of decision... The two posts are radically different, both with excellent ideas. But since I must choose, I'm going to do it this way: 1 point to @leaky20 for all the interesting ideas for topics and 2 points to @jbreheny for coming up with practical ideas for helping the contest itself run more smoothly in the future.\n \n\nTotal is..\n\n@leaky20 - 5\n\n@jbreheny - 4 \n\nClose one! Congrats leaky20! That jumps you up to 3rd place which I think is a pretty good place to finish the season. :)\nThanks for playing in our game! I'm really liking the idea leaky20 proposed about sort of creating a new and better world and have been thinking maybe next season in the IFC we'll be landing on a new planet somewhere to create a better world? It took a long time again... I hate apologizing so much, but I'm sorry again.\nPart of the reason is because I messed up a few times and another part is also that my father is a guest judge on this round because it was the \"Assist Irvinesimages\" quest which was about helping him and he's just been extremely busy for a while with numerous different things and I didn't want to add any extra burden on to what he's been dealing with.\n\nThough, he got the time recently and then when I sent him the email it didn't go through and I thought it did and I waited a couple weeks before I asked him and then he told me never got the email and... I apologize, I just didn't wanna rush things.\nThen I forgot to tell him to type up a little something about his decision and why he voted the way he did and he wanted to go back and read the entries again to do that and then it took a while longer cause he's very busy.\n\nIt also appears as if a couple of our other regular judges are not been available anymore and it's been difficult on that end as well, but... There's only one more round to judge after this and I still have hope and believe we can get through it.\nI haven't given up on the IFC short or longterm... It's still very important to me and some of the work I've been doing recently I think could very well end up being a major positive thing for the IFC in the future.\n\nThank you to the people who I've talked to personally who understand.\nI have a feeling it's going to be fun even if we only have a couple of players for the finals. :) <3 \n\nAnd now... I'm back. \nI can't apologize enough for the delay, I have excuses though I know excuses aren't good enough and I hope some people are willing to still finish the season even though it's been so long.\n\nMy excuses are that the split from steem to Hive really complicated things for me and I wanted to sort of just wait a little while and think about things and see what happened.\n\nAnd then the covid-19/virus/lockdown thing happened and... Not only did I need to stop and focus heavily on my own life and make sure my own house was in better order, I was also very hesitant to ask anyone else for help judging during that period of time because I didn't want to cause any problems for anyone else and that was a decent amount of time.\n\nNow that things are finally calming down a bit and some societies and governments are lessening the lockdown measures, I think it's a good time to get back to this.\n\nAlso, I realize I should have just come on real quick and left a message to let people know all this and I apologize. I should have. I was just so incredibly overwhelmed with trying to get my personal life in a better place that I kind of just had to focus on my own safety and health for a while.\n\nThose are my excuses, yet I still should have done better. I'm sorry. I hope at least two of you will finish this off so we can have an official winner even if things got really discombobulated.\nI'm not totally sure how this is going to work, the split from steem to hive has really made this more difficult for me.\n\nI think because of the split I will pay the winner in their choice of hive or steem.\nI'm also going to try to post IFC stuff on both steem and hive until the end of the season at least unless we discover that there are no players left on steem, then we will finish it on Hive I guess?\n\nThere's only two rounds left to judge and then I will personally try to contact everyone who scored at least 1 point to see if they would like to play in the finals.\n\nI figure I'll probably give people a month, maybe longer to prepare so it's not all sudden and unexpected and that people have time to potentially move their schedules around if they want to participate.\n\nSo, hopefully in the next couple of weeks here the regular season is fully judged and done and then I will make a post with further details about the finals and I will try to contact everyone who scored at least a point and see if they would like to play.\n\nWith that said... And also I'm giving 1 point to shaheerbari because his entry was very colorful and had a good adventurous energy to it and he did a good job of highlighting some of the areas and things to do. \n\nchrismadcboy2016 - 2 points to @ayushjalan I like the way he/she express the feeling of a freeman. like the Leon king said HAKONA MATATA ( It problem free philosophy)\n1 point to @shaheerbari I do relate the most people saying travel to the world and live with full of happiness, courage, love and peace.\n\njamesrussell - ayushjalan wrote a far superior post, and I remember shaheerbari from before, but if I remember correctly, his quality was far superior to this post he wrote about Karachi\nNot to mention that ayushjalan made his post so much more interesting with places to go and things to see, not to mention I actually learned a couple of things that made me contemplate some of the things we take for granted.\nAlso, the reading was much more pleasant in his post as well, he did spacing on two sentences for the most part which accounts for the length of the post, and he had beautiful pictures as well. His proofreading missed a couple of places, but it was very good and on a scale of 100%, he got around 98 to 99%\nshaheerbari on the other hand seems like he neglected to proofread at all, and there are two paragraphs that are mostly one run-on sentences. He stuck some commas in there, but he should have proofread better.\nAlso he has no sourcing on most of his pictures, one was sourced perfect, the rest I have absolutely no idea where they came from.\nHe was in a contest with that photo 2 years ago, but the guy that was running the contest asked him twice about the pertinency of the photo, as it didn't belong to that contest, and he didn't answer\nHands down quality and content goes to ayushjalan. I think 2 tokens to him and 1 to shaheerbari\nEven ayushjalan's sourcing was questionable, but I know of a couple that he is in so no question of ownership. Both of them should have made blanket statements at the end of the post about ownership or usage rights\nshaheerbari's first image is sourced correctly for using the freebie style photos, I approve of that very strongly even though it is not required.\n\n\n\nTotal is..\n\n@ayushjalan - 6\n\n@shaheerbari - 3 \n\nCongrats again ayushjalan! I like/am in love with all the new words created, however there were two different ones that really stuck out the most to me and that's the entries by leaky20 and lordless.exile. Took me a long time to come to this conclusion and... Ultimately, even though I actually like leaky20's word more personally because of my own history and experiences, I feel like lordless.exile's word has more application and applies in more cases and would likely be used more. This one was really tough and really pained me to have to pick one over the other... I kinda feel like I shoulda gave it to leaky20 as his word was epic.
