      "body": "\"Man is the sum total of the his foibles and secrets embeded in his heart.\"\n\nMan is a tragic being in nature, which is reflected in the secrets he choses to hold dearest to his heart or choses to hide and reveal. I recall a poem titled \"Richard Cory\" which I read in my school days mirroring the imperfect nature of mankind. Richard Cory the tragic-hero in the poem was seen to have it all in terms beauty, charisma, riches or better-still wealth but despite all the aura of success surrounding him , he was a tragic lonely figure. Richard Cory had no friends and this sorrowful state lead to his commiting suicide. Lets take a cue from from the Shakespeare legend in the character of Hamlet. Hamlet was a tragic-hero who had it all in terms of the alluring trappings of royalty but when confronted with the sorry reality of the dent pervading the throne of Denmark which he was reluctant to confront he had to take the lonely road of murderer. But when the moment of truth beckoned on him he had to jettison all the weak trappings of the Judeo-Christian ethos to correct the pervading the wrongs associated with the throne of Denmark.\n\nBut the truth be told  that secrets are part and parcel of our nature and as such we cannot do without them. They define us and also ignite the inate passion embeded in us. One of the respected Philosoher of Bavarian age, Ludwig Wittenstein who bestrode the intellectual ivory tower of Cambrige University like a collosus was wispered in secret quarters to be a homosexual. The legendery boss of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation, F.B.I, John Edgar Hoover was wispered in secrets that he was a homosexual. The 11th American President , Abraham Lincoln was known to be suffering from debilating chronic severe depression but this ws kept secret from the American public, I wonder what will if this was to ocurr on our contemporary age? The point I am making is that, as humans we should not be quick to judge our fellow men when their ethical flaws standards do not conform to our moral standards.\n\nI have it from certain historical scholars that some of the traits we unequivocally condemn to be an anathema could be an oasis of strenght to certain men. There comes a time when political leaders in taking harsh unpleasant decisions will need to confront the reality of loneliness. An illustration will suffice, Woodrow Wilson , a professor of Government at Princeton University thought he had all i.e intellectual brilliance,political exposure and the moral discipline e.t.c of what it takes to make a difference in politics but when the explosive issue of America joining the League of Nation despite his intense campaign against his doctors advice came, he received a resounding a rejection from the American populace through their congressman. Magreth Thacther, the iron lady of Britain who industrialised and changed the face of the welfare state in Britain suffered a resounding rejection at the Parliamentary elections. President Charles De Gaulle, the French statesman against the popular accepted opoinion of the time granted independence to African Francophone countries was seen in certain quarters as a pariah.\n\nConclusively, I will align my thoughts with one of my mentors in the person of Walter Lippman who was of the view that only those who have the guts to stay awake at the dead of the night have the psychological whererwithal to impact meaning change in their world. The far reaching decisions that cause a ripple in our society are made in silent corners of our heart. Two Generals who are deemed to be the architects of our modern democracy, thus General Montgomery and General Eisenhower had to stand alone when taking decisions that will aid the Allied Forces to conquer the Axis territory. Civilisation belongs to the brave-hearted who are more than willing to stand-up to their beliefs even in the face of unpopular opinion or views.",

The people cried for lack of bread and all  the royla couple could reply was that they should instead feed on cake, thus that was the end of that once promising reign. America in the intellectual foresight of Thomas Jefferson ensured that America made every attempt to create a  more perfect union. Thomas Jefferson,  a gentry consciencious-planter gave the sage advice to the founding fathers of the union to ensure that a Bill Of Right is incorporated into the American Constitution.  American ensured that they do not make the mistake of Aristocratic British enclave and likewise the People insentive France.\n\nThe underlying problem of our contemporary society is  the inability to reconcile the conflicting  rationale between a Socialist-Oriented Society couched in the creed of Socialism and the notion of Capitalism wrapped with the dogma laissez faire, as the engine room for a progressive society. Abraham Lincoln, the 11 American President had to battle with the entrenched interest of slavery to save the foundering union. An Assassins bullet ended his dream. In contemporary Sahara Arica ,we are faced with a Chicken and Egg situation of which is more paramount, the Economic Ideology or the Political Ideology. The s politics of African Heads of Government is predicated on survivalism, as if man is nothing more than a physiological being whose paramount existence is predicated on bread and butter. Man's yearns to actualize his innate desire anchored on his self-esteem. The most important thing is the re-engineering of the political configurations of the State ,thus the Political organogramme before deciding the Economic configurations of the sovereign environment. Achieving a balance  in the social structuring of our world is one the continual perplexing problems we continue to grapple with.\n\nConclusively, re-echoing the sentiment of an Icon of the American Pragmmatism, William James etched on his Philosophy of The Will To Believe, no matter how dark the horizon might tend to be, we do indeed have a rendevous with destiny to make every consciencious attempt to Create A More Perfect World.",

The United States in the Statesmanship of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Sir Winston Churchill , Comrade Josef Stalin of Russia marshalled their citizens with inspiring rhethorical cadences spices  with war-like bravery to the war front to take-up arm against the Axis of evils,  Adolphous Hitler of Germany, Benito Mussolini of Fascist Italy .Soldiers from the Allied Power countries believed in the patriotic quest of doing everything within their powers to preserve the civilization of mankind.\n\nThe reverse is the case today whereby nations find it difficult to agree on which war is Jus or which is not.The war in Dibienphu spear-headed by France  left a bitter-taste in its history, the war in Afghanistan aggressively pursued by the Soviet-Union left a bad taste of Russian dead soldiers littered in cementary of the War Memorial, and the United- States suffered years of trauma dented goodwill as result of a war most of its citizen argued was in their interest thus not a Jus War.Today ,there seems to be series un-ending wars with catastrophic human deaths in places like Afghanistan, the Middle East, Syria e.t.c.Politics being a socio-ethical discipline clothed with the garland of Social-Contract gives the citizenry the legtimate powers and moral impetus to question the war decisions of their elected leaders, if their leaders under the deceptive cloak of dubious presidential war powers summon their men in uniform with patriotic rallying cry of a call to bear arms.\n\nFor me and every consciensce imbued citizen, we should not question the dubious nature of draconian executive powers but should in the spirit of the tolling bells of patriotism echoe the sentiments of an unknown soldier whose dying declaration at the war front was that there is a place worth dying for, which is ones beloved home country home.`",
