      "body": "누구나 자신이 해보지 않은 일을 시작하거나 첫 직장이나 조직에서 자신의 생활을 시작할 때 또는 결혼을 통해 가정을 이룰 때 미리 짜여진 계획대로 문제없이 해나가기란 말처럼 쉽지않다. 계획을 세워도 매순간 매상황을 정확히 예단하여 그때 마다 최적의 선택이나 대처를 하기가 어렵다. 더욱이 처음 사회생활을 시작하는 신입사원이라는 타이틀을 지닌 이들에게는 거의 불가능에 가까울 지도 모른다.\n\n10여년이 넘게 회사생활을 하면서 겪었던 일 중 안타까운 일 중 하나는 그 신입사원들이 적응이라는 과정을 거쳐 소위 조직이라는 곳의 한 일원으로서 안착하기 전에 회사를 스스로 떠나는 일들이다. 여기서 인재가 떠나거나 의지가 약하다거나 해서 떠나는게 안타까운게 아니다. 그들에게 최소한 스스로가 떠날지 남을지 또는 무언가 업무를 진행하는데 있어 판단이라는 것을 하기위해 최대한 정확한 정보들을 주지 못한것이 안타깝다.\n\n그렇다고 나 자신 스스로가 무언가 일반적인 사회적 기준으로 누군가의 맨토(?)나 조언을 해주어 그 누군가의 사회생활에 휼륭한 조언자로서의 위치에 있는것도 아니다.  다만 지나보니 그 시절 나에게 이러한 조언들을 누군가가 해주었더라면 좀더 나은 조직에서의 생활이 되었지 않았을까? 하는 생각이 들어서이다. 쉽게 말해 그 중요하고 소중한 시기에 내 자신의 커리어에 좀더 도움이 되는 시간과 노력을 하지 않았을까 하는 생각이다.\n\n회사는 직원을 채용하기 위해 여러가지 판단의 근거들을 수집한다. 서류도 제출받고 면접도 보고 때로는 테스트를 거쳐 직원을 채용하게 된다. 직원을 채용할 때는 근로계약이라는 계약을 통해 채용을 마무리한다. 하지만 채용을 했다고 해서 끝이 아니라 채용을 한 그 직원이 퇴사를 할때까지 끝도 없이 평가한다. 과장일지 모르지만 수집할 수 있는 모든 데이터를 수집한다. 하다못해 스마트폰으로 회사 시스템에 접근하는 일련의 과정들(회사 정책과 시스템이 그렇다면)을 위해 스마트폰 세팅을 잘하는지 또는 하지 못하면 그다음 액션을 어떻게 취하는지(동료에게 조언을 구하거나 시스템 Admin에게 요청이나 가이드를 받는 다던지, 아니면 회사내에 존재하는 메뉴얼을 찾아본다 던지)까지도 평가 대상에 포함될 수 있다. 물론 인사고과를 포함하여 업무수행 능력과 실력(?)이 주요한 항목임에는 틀림없다. 이 또한 여러 경로와 결과물들을 통해 정보를 수집한다. 이러한 기본 정보들을 통해 회사는 연봉계약 시즌에 직원을 재평가 한다. 물론 시즌을 떠나서 경우에 따라 퇴사나 승진, 연봉인상, 삭감 등의 회사에서 누수가 되는 비용을 최대한 낮추기 위한 노력을 ‘최대한’기울인다. 즉 회사는 직원 개개인이 이익집단인 회사에 최소한의 비용으로 최대한의 이익을 내도록 시스템화 한다. 그러기 위해 끊임없이 평가의 기반이되는 정보를 수집하고 이를 바탕으로 평가를 한다.\n\n따라서 스스로 자신이 회사입장에서 자신을 평가할 필요는 없다. 물론 자신이 부족한 부분이나 잘못된 부분을 교정하기 위해 스스로를 돌아보는 부분은 반드시 필요하다. 하지만 많은 에너지가 필요한 이 일을 회사입장에서 보다는 자신의 커리어를 위해서 하는 것이 백배 낫다. 특히나 신입사원은 처음이라는 낮설음과 두려움이 가져다 주는 불안에 스스로가 도움이 안된다거나 자신이 많이 부족하다는 생각, 실무능력이 필요한 현실에 자신을 비교함으로써 오는 자괴감들은 그냥 어디 안보이는 곳에 던져 버려라. 그런 줄 알고 채용한 거다. 인정하기 싫겠지만 그래서 연봉계약서의 숫자가 그만큼인 것이다. 만일 실무에 당장 투입하고 실수도 없고 거침없이 PM을 바로 수행할 수 있으면 연봉계약서의 숫자는 다를 것이다. 다르지 않다면 회사는 그야말로 엄청난 인재를 얻은 것이다. 아니면 채용담당자가 엄청난 협상가이거나. 그도 아니면 그는 바보다.\n\n현실적으로 본다면 그건 자신을 정확히 알게되는 과정이라고 보는게 옳다. 자신의 실력, 성향, 부족한 부분 등 그 시기에 이런 부분을 정확히 판단하고 그 판단을 자신이 키워야할 커리어의 기준이자 출발점으로 삼아야 한다.\n\n다시말해 그 시간들을 내가 성장하기 위한 정확한 현재의 자신의 위치(?)를 파악하기 위한 시간으로 소비를 해야 한다. 그렇지 않고 스스로가 부족함을 인정하고 난뒤 이를 자신의 전부로 보고 모든 판단의 기준으로 삼는건 안타까운 일이다. 물론 자신의 커리어를 키우기 위한 기준이라면 주위나 회사는 얼마든지 지원해줄 용의가 있을 것이고 그래야 회사와 직원이 윈윈하는 길이다.\n\n두려워마라! 열정을 가져라! 따위의 말들은 수도없이 들을 것이다. 그것도 중요하다. 하지만 어떠한때 두려워 말고 어떠한때 열정을 불사르며, 어떻게 그 시간들을 무엇을 위해 보내야 하는지 생각해 보자! 나 또한 그러하지 못했고 이렇다고 말한마디 해주는 사람 없었다. 오로지 내 머리속에 기억된 것은 ‘버텨라!’라는 외침 뿐이었다. 그래서 안타까웠고 아쉬웠다. 받아들이는건 자신의 몫이지만 최소한 이야기 해주고 싶다. 어떤일을 어떻게 하면서 무엇을 위해 버텨야 하는지!!",
