      "body": "Aqui un poco de historia amigos.\nEs tiempo de volar hacia el pasado y conocer los orígenes del mejor deporte del mundo: el basquetbol.\nPara todos los que son curiosos y quieren saber de dónde proviene el famoso juego de la canasta y el balón, les compartimos la historia.\nSi bien lejanamente podemos encontrar en las épocas de los griegos o de los aztecas, referencias sobre el basquetbol, el principio de este juego moderno tiene sus orígenes en una escuela estadounidense en el año 1891. El promotor de este fue un tal James Naismith, instructor de deporte en el YMCA (Asociación de Jóvenes Cristianos) en Springfield. James especificó las trece reglas básicas del baloncesto, las cuales aun están vigentes. No obstante se han efectuado algunas modificaciones para adecuarlas a las nuevas épocas en donde el juego principalmente se basa en la rapidez con que se anotan los puntos y en la forma espectacular de anotarlos. \n\n![IMG_20181120_140806.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUCpVcCpz6aPR8wvq8QpaMTwzSHQhsPdkqb49jesVJwF1/IMG_20181120_140806.jpg)\nOcasionado por los largos inviernos que sufría Springfield, y con la urgencia de que sus alumnos se mantuvieran entretenidos y en buenas condiciones físicas, James consideró crear un nuevo juego que se pudiera jugar bajo techo y en espacios reducidos. Luego de pasar algunos meses estudiando otros deportes existentes y adoptando lo más atractivo de cada uno, Naismith logró establecer una serie de requisitos que debería tener este nuevo deporte:\n\nAfinidad por el Balón.\nFácil de aprender\nQue pudiera ser jugado en cualquier terreno\nAtaque permanente de la meta\nQue hubiera un balance entre el ataque y la defensa\nNo fuera un deporte agresivo\nAsí fue como poco a poco y después de varios ensayos, al fin James crea el deporte conocido como Basquetbol (basketball en inglés o baloncesto) basket proviene de la palabra cesta o canasta en inglés y ball es balón, la imagen del juego era simple; se jugaría sólo con las manos y tendría como objetivo meter el balón en una cesta o canasta de donde proviene su nombre.\n![IMG_20181120_140937.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcyABY4PoiDNz97qBtxjSmzXaAMdsow84yiUuPFJpEaUW/IMG_20181120_140937.jpg)\n\nLos principios básicos creados por James fueron:\nEl balón será esférico y puede ser lanzado con una o dos manos sin importar su dirección.\nTodo jugador puede colocarse en el terreno de juego donde le guste y en cualquier momento.\nNo se puede retener la pelota y correr con ella.\nLos dos equipos jugarán juntos sobre el terreno, pero está prohibido el contacto entre los jugadores. (No es un deporte violento)\nLa meta debe ser elevada, horizontal y de dimensiones pequeñas para que tenga que recurrirse más a la destreza que a la potencia\nLos equipos estarían conformados por nueve jugadores\nEl primer juego de basquetbol oficial fue jugado en el gimnasio de YMCA el 20 de enero de 1892 y como aun no se creaba el balón específico para el basquet como todos los conocemos, se jugó con uno de futbol. En 1894 se estableció el tiró libre; en 1897 se reglamentan cinco jugadores por equipo y en 1904 se definió el tamaño de la cancha.\nEl basquetbol femenino comenzó en 1892 en la Universidad de Smith cuando Senda Berenson, profesora de educación física, realizó algunos cambios a las reglas de James para ajustarlos a las mujeres.
