      "body": "As we near the 30 day mark of President Trump’s initial announcement that the US would end its occupation of Syria within 30 days, it seems that nothing of the sort is even happening.  Of course in the new normal of paradigm shattering news breaking every 30 seconds or so it is easy to forget that a declaration like this was even made, but as the American government has largely shut down (of course, with the ironic continuation of the Department of Defense budget, “How could a warring nation continue without any war?”) due to the failure of Congress and the President to agree on a budget, the planned exit from Syria has largely been forgotten, as Turkey considers continuing its planned invasion of Syria regardless of the continuing presence of US personnel and the Kurds live in the now completely expected state of having no idea who the enemies of tomorrow will be.  \n\n<center>\nhttps://media2.s-nbcnews.com/j/newscms/2019_01/2705776/sdf_fighters_ef93e1d70483a46f4ed2335c85e25bb4.fit-1240w.jpg\n[Kurdish fighters attend the funeral of a local official on Dec. 31. At this point it might be said that the only thing certain is uncertainty.  Maybe Senator Rand Paul was right to announce that in his presidential endorsement he was endorsing the only sure winner, “Entropy.”  Sometimes its hard to tell if life is a tragic comedy or a comedic tragedy.  (It might be noted that had Hillary Rodham Clinton been in President Trump’s place she would not be so easily swayed by the institutional might of the war-mongers but then again, this might not be the type of scenario where fighting fire with more dangerous fires results in less loss of life…)\n\n<center>\n[Rand Paul’s 2016 April Fool’s Announcement](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/04/01/rand-paul-endorses-entropy-in-2016-in-pundit-aimed-april-fools-joke/?utm_term=.987c5f7e033a)</center>\n\nThere is only one piece of information regarding the fallout from the Syrian withdrawal that has not been completely overshadowed by the government shutdown and considerable political hullabaloo that accompanies such a pointless gesture (because of course Congress today quite bilaterally passed legislation approving backpay at whatever point the government is finally funded, meaning that the government is only continuing to hold hostage the crumbs that are the benefits of state tyranny such as social welfare benefits and Social Security payments while also double charging the public through the extraction of both present and future rent beared in the implied interest accrued through these unfunded liabilities (keeping government agents paid without disbursing any services).       "body": "After the American presidential election of 2016, Hillary Rodham Clinton published *What Happened?*, her personal analysis of that election and the circumstances that lead to the election of President Donald Trump.  Throughout the book, Clinton somehow avoids taking any personal responsibilities for her own failings while also entirely discrediting the movements that she took advantage of in her attempts to become the American head of state.  Her attitude towards electoral politics as the only avenue for substantive change and the final testing ground for all legitimate movements typifies the lack of touch that is the hallmark of the failure of the Democratic Party in the United States. During a time when the party establishment considered the activity of youth, minorities, and the progressive citizenry to be at historically high levels the administration miraculously provided substantial victories to the military-state, intelligence-industrial-complex (through warrantless wiretapping, kangaroo FISA courts, unprecedented nonjudicial drone killings including of an American citizen and his child, record-setting deportations, and accelerated privatization and commodification of personal information for corporate gain), and elite bourgeoisie while also providing nothing of value to the people of the movements that propelled such a meteoric rise. To accept such a claim is to be a republican of the highest order and betray any possibility of the anarchism we espouse.  Truly, *every* other action a person takes is more powerful than the vote, unless the goal of action is to remove power from the individual and cast it into the hands of the state and its heads, both seen and unseen.\n\nThe dangers of Hillary Clinton’s thinking would not be so worrisome if not for the fact that progressives gearing up for the next presidential election (still half a term or two full years away…) continue to fully espouse this line of thinking.  Elizabeth Warren recently made her first trip to Iowa (the first state to pick its parties’ candidates for presidential elections and the “most important” state for federal electioneering) since announcing an exploratory campaign for President in 2020.  In her speech she claimed that all she wants is for her people to “wait till 2020” to see what the Progressive have in store for the Republicans.  The complete and utter vanity of such a claim is doomed to failure, if not in terms of her presidential run, in terms of the real movement towards a future that secures the abolition of power the end of the status quo.       "body": "After the American presidential election of 2016, Hillary Rodham Clinton published *What Happened?*, her personal analysis of that election and the circumstances that lead to the election of President Donald Trump.  Throughout the book, Clinton somehow avoids taking any personal responsibilities for her own failings while also entirely discrediting the movements that she took advantage of in her attempts to become the American head of state.  Her attitude towards electoral politics as the only avenue for substantive change and the final testing ground for all legitimate movements typifies the lack of touch that is the hallmark of the failure of the Democratic Party in the United States. During a time when the party establishment considered the activity of youth, minorities, and the progressive citizenry to be at historically high levels the administration miraculously provided substantial victories to the military-state, intelligence-industrial-complex (through warrantless wiretapping, kangaroo FISA courts, unprecedented nonjudicial drone killings including of an American citizen and his child, record-setting deportations, and accelerated privatization and commodification of personal information for corporate gain), and elite bourgeoisie while also providing nothing of value to the people of the movements that propelled such a meteoric rise. To accept such a claim is to be a republican of the highest order and betray any possibility of the anarchism we espouse.  Truly, *every* other action a person takes is more powerful than the vote, unless the goal of action is to remove power from the individual and cast it into the hands of the state and its heads, both seen and unseen.\n\nThe dangers of Hillary Clinton’s thinking would not be so worrisome if not for the fact that progressives gearing up for the next presidential election (still half a term or two full years away…) continue to fully espouse this line of thinking.  Elizabeth Warren recently made her first trip to Iowa (the first state to pick its parties’ candidates for presidential elections and the “most important” state for federal electioneering) since announcing an exploratory campaign for President in 2020.  In her speech she claimed that all she wants is for her people to “wait till 2020” to see what the Progressive have in store for the Republicans.  The complete and utter vanity of such a claim is doomed to failure, if not in terms of her presidential run, in terms of the real movement towards a future that secures the abolition of power the end of the status quo.
