| body | Ask me about my best genre of music and I’d tell you I don’t really have one in mind. I just know I don’t like rap, I get lost when the thing starts hitting the sweet part. I don’t have the intestine to listen to Fuji, their mumbo-jumbo and non-adherence to synergy with musical keys piss me off. As a matter of fact, if not for the Osupa Saheed and Wasiu Alabi Pasuma fights, many of us would never know about Fuji. Thanks to those in the former place I lived, they made it a point of work every Saturday to start debating on the best between those two. Naturally, I don’t love blues, the style is too slow for my life. It’s not that I love Apala or wéré and I don’t even like Hip-hop. The madness that has entered the Hip-Hop is enough to make you press stop, but does that mean, I don’t hear it? Sort of. It’s just that, sometimes I pass by places where they play the songs and I wouldn’t put my ears in my pocket. I would have to listen to it because me I’m not part of the committee of those who claim that what is not happening. My best artist of all time is Abolore Akande of 2009 - 2014, that name doesn’t ring any bell? It’s normal not to remember whose name that is. I just hope you’d remember who 9ice is? Yeah! 9ice, that Gongo-á-so guy, very tall laidat. The one who married Toni Payne and fought Ruggedman, they've made up already. The guy who melted our heart with songs laced with Yoruba adages and proverbs. I don’t really enjoy the songs he sings anymore and that should show why I was specific with the time period. I'm still a fan and I still follow his songs but not like before. The things is, it’s either he did an upgrade that is higher than my standards or I grew beyond his songs. Whatever... Today, I’m not celebrating him but I must say he’s a game-changer. I was just looking at stuffs yesterday and my head started playing two of his songs. Let’s forget the Gbamú-Gbamù and focus on the one that touched my soul, Life Drama. In Literature, they say Drama involves a piece of story-telling that is performed on stage which has been obviously well-rehearsed for a beautiful presentation. I would beg you not to mind my definition, I became a literature student not quite long. I haven't got time for much practice but I'm quite learning from the new Action Film (God bless Brymo) all around lately. These days, different film are being released for us and we won’t even praise the ingenuity of the script-writers, who make time to dish us entertainment in an entertain-less clime that we have found ourselves. I just feel woke to watching Nigerian movies again, thanks to this mind-blowing, beautifully scripted films. I'd be doing my own review of the movies. Title: The Marauders Duration: 5 minute and backlash Released: Wednesday, April 20, 2018. Starring: Senator Omo- Agege and the cowboys P:G: 18 years only Location: Abuja FILM REVIEW: An engaging film from the stables of the National Assembly. For a piece that was written as a one-man drama with no supporting cast, It was a hit. The addition of the bodyguards and the way the senator walked like he was Robin Hood should shame professional actors. The film for me has a 2-star rating. NEGATIVES: The Mace wasn’t hit on any of the Senators’ head. If one of them had the mace slammed on their head, it’d have shown that Senators have red blood flowing in their body as well and this would have made the film an all-round hit. The Mace should be seen in a bush or somewhere like a gutter, not near the city gate. It made the film lose progression and ordinary SUCCESS: The film was a budget office hit, over 120k comments and 25k retweets on twitter. It generated something close to 3000 write-ups on Facebook. If not for a bigger film that was shot in faraway London that day, the film should have grossed more than the mentions it had but it is my movie of the month. Release Date: Wednesday, April 18, 2018 Title: The Lazy Generation Director: Unknown Starring: Muhammadu Buhari and Commonwealth Location: London P:G: 13 years .jpg) FILM REVIEW: For a man who said “I’m for no one and I’m against no one”. This was an icing, an icing on the cake. In the words of the Filmers award “ in the tell-tales and make believe of filming, this was an original piece. It is the success film of 2018”. The Floomberg had this to say “Expect Yoruba movies script-writers to come up with epic films with the word lazy. This would be the success story of 2018". For a man who's quite old, the protagonist was very natural in his act. For everyone involved in the scripting, it was a great film. The delivery itself was apt and well-timed NEGATIVES: There is no negative to pick from the film. It is a 10/10. Tvstar gave it a 4.5 star. CrazyTV rated it 3.5 because the storyline was supposed to reflect a background of the lazy ones. CF Films suggested that the filming should have been done in a place like Lagos or Enugu or Anambra or Port Harcourt. It'd make it a huger commercial hit and a cinema boom. SUCCESS: It was a budget office hit. It overshadowed the movie the senators had earlier released late in the afternoon of that day. It had over 450k major mentions on radio and Television. Over 125k retweets on Twitter. Countless memes on Instagram Lazy became a major word since last week. The word “lazy” was never googled and searched in the dictionary like it was this past week. It generated 15k write-ups on different Facebook timelines. It grossed over N560 million for a number of youths who decided to cash in and pirate the film. That's a box office hit. Release Date: Tuesday, April 24, 2018 Title: The Fugitive Director: Dino Mioraye Iranu Starring: Dino Melaye and SARS Location: Abuja P.G: Only God knows FILM REVIEW: The evergreen man has always been a man who hugged the headline so well. After his “Ajekun Iya” single produced by XC beatz became viral last year. Different choral groups did mashup for the song, making it one of the biggest song of 2017. His mew film which was released exclusively for home and cinemas was a perfect Tuesday dose. It was action packed, suspenseful, heroic, intruging, no dull moment, satirical and very witty. The costume and choice of location deserves a massive aplomb. The script itself was a masterpiece and the way Dino laid on that stretcher was emotionally funny. Watch out for this film to rival the Lazy Generation NEGATIVES: The only negative to pick from this is that the police didn’t make that part where Dino jumped look real. He should be allowed to re-take that part. The bus was too slow for him and he should have jumped from the roof not the window. The camera was not that sharp and it made the production dull and dour. It might be down to the fault of the production crew. For a man who priorities flashy and fast things, his choice of crew isn’t the best. He should have taken more time on the stretcher before been driven away from the accident scene SUCCESS: Dino Melaye is fast becoming a perfect actor, writer, composer and director. He should be sweeping and carting home the Next Rated Award during the Headies. More film should be expected toward the tail end of this year. This film isn’t the last from his stables. We don’t have official ratings from yet, as soon as we do, we’d send . Well, those are the major films and drama from the stable of our Political theatrics in Nigeria. The advice I have is simple and I borrowed this idea from Pepper “Everyone should start studying Singing (Learn from Dino) Scriptwriting (Omo Agege should be your mentor) and Drama (Learn from Dino, I repeat)". "Law will make you too much of a gentleman and Political Science will make you love to follow due process" "Those gentleman's stuff will not pay you in Nigeria. This was the exact advice I gave Dimeji Bankole. It's just that the boy couldn't interprete and act his roles well" If those ones are too hard to study, go and learn dancing like Senator Adeleke, you have to be artfully talented and theatrically ready before joining Nigeria politics or Fayose will finish you with action. 9ice finished that song ‘Life Drama” with these words “My industry drama, no club for you, you no go popular”. I better reconstruct it to “Nigeria Politicking Drama, if camera is not on you, go and buy your own and you'd be popular” He also stressed further by saying "Abuja Drama, Politician fighting over Naira" .. Who knows what Omo Agege is fighting for this time, but I bet 9ice is a seer to have envisage this rightly.. #peace.. |

"body": "Ask me about my best genre of music and I’d tell you I don’t really have one in mind. Thanks to those in the former place I lived, they made it a point of work every Saturday to start debating on the best between those two.\n\nNaturally, I don’t love blues, the style is too slow for my life. I would have to listen to it because me I’m not part of the committee of those who claim that what is not happening.\n\nMy best artist of all time is Abolore Akande of 2009 - 2014, that name doesn’t ring any bell? It’s normal not to remember whose name that is. I just hope you’d remember who 9ice is? Yeah! 9ice, that Gongo-á-so guy, very tall laidat. The one who married Toni Payne and fought Ruggedman, they've made up already. The guy who melted our heart with songs laced with Yoruba adages and proverbs.\n\nI don’t really enjoy the songs he sings anymore and that should show why I was specific with the time period. I'm still a fan and I still follow his songs but not like before. The things is, it’s either he did an upgrade that is higher than my standards or I grew beyond his songs. Whatever...\n Today, I’m not celebrating him but I must say he’s a game-changer. I was just looking at stuffs yesterday and my head started playing two of his songs. Let’s forget the Gbamú-Gbamù and focus on the one that touched my soul, Life Drama.\n\nIn Literature, they say Drama involves a piece of story-telling that is performed on stage which has been obviously well-rehearsed for a beautiful presentation. I would beg you not to mind my definition, I became a literature student not quite long. I haven't got time for much practice but I'm quite learning from the new Action Film (God bless Brymo) all around lately.\n\nThese days, different film are being released for us and we won’t even praise the ingenuity of the script-writers, who make time to dish us entertainment in an entertain-less clime that we have found ourselves. I just feel woke to watching Nigerian movies again, thanks to this mind-blowing, beautifully scripted films. I'd be doing my own review of the movies.\n\nTitle: The Marauders\nDuration: 5 minute and backlash\nReleased: Wednesday, April 20, 2018.\nStarring: Senator Omo- Agege and the cowboys\nP:G: 18 years only\nLocation: Abuja\n\n\nFILM REVIEW: An engaging film from the stables of the National Assembly. For a piece that was written as a one-man drama with no supporting cast, It was a hit. The addition of the bodyguards and the way the senator walked like he was Robin Hood should shame professional actors. The film for me has a 2-star rating.\n\nNEGATIVES: The Mace wasn’t hit on any of the Senators’ head. If one of them had the mace slammed on their head, it’d have shown that Senators have red blood flowing in their body as well and this would have made the film an all-round hit. | body | HISTORY! February 13th 1976 Coup When Lt. Col. Bukar Dimka of the Nigeria Army Physical Training Corps stepped out of his official residence on Macpherson Road, Ikoyi, in the early hours of February 13, 1976, he had one agenda in mind; the killing of the then Head of State, Gen. Murtala Muhammed. He achieved that criminal act by gunning down the Kano-born head of state a few minutes after the latter left the Dodan Barracks, Obalende, the official seat of the Federal Military Government at the time. Muhammed’s official black Mercedes Benz was riddled with bullets near a petrol station on Bank Road, (now Murtala Muhammed Drive) opposite the Federal Secretariat, Ikoyi. Killed along with him were, his ADC, Lt. Akintunde Akinsehinwa and driver. After the assassination, Dimka had made a broadcast at the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) studio in the following words; ‘’Good morning fellow Nigerians, This is Lt. Col. B. Dimka of the Nigerian Army calling. I bring you good tidings. Murtala Muhammed’s deficiency has been detected. His government is now overthrown by the young revolutionaries. Any attempt to foil these plans from any quarters will be met with death. Everyone should be calm. Please stay by your radio for further announcements. All borders, air and sea ports are closed until further notice. Curfew is imposed from 6am to 6pm. Thank you. We are all together.” Two days after Muhammed was assassinated, Dimka was declared wanted for treason and murder by military authorities. He was eventually caught at a checkpoint at Abakaliki on March 5, 1976 and brought to Lagos the following day. On March 6, 1976, the Federal Government promptly issued a statement on his arrest as follows: ‘’His arrest followed a massive manhunt operation mounted by a combined team of the Army and Police in the area. ‘’The previous day, Lt. Col Dimka had checked in at a local hotel in Afikpo under the name of Mr. C. Godwin of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Enugu. Later, on his request, the hotel manager secured for him a girl, Miss. Beatrice Agboli, with whom to spend the night. ‘’A few hours later, the local Police security was alerted and they closed up on him. At about 10.30 pm, he bolted away through the window of the toilet of his hotel room into a nearby thick bush, abandoning his car with a dangling registration number ECC 6253.” ‘’The continuous joint manhunt operation by the Army and Police resulted in his subsequent arrest near Abakaliki.’’ Barely few hours after he was brought to Lagos, he was interrogated by the military Board of Inquiry led by Major Gen. E. O. Abisoye. However while Dimka was being quizzed, 32 people including Major Gen. Illiya Bisalla, who had already been tried for their roles in the attempted coup were executed in Lagos on March 11, 1976. The only civilian executed among them was Abdulkarim Zakari, a graduate of University of Ibadan, who was said to have led Dimka and others into the studios of the NBC on February 13, 1976. The broadcaster was also cited as the man who signed for martial music records from the NBC library the previous night. Just as the first batch of coup plotters were executed, Dimka’s trial begun after he was presented to the press on March 11, 1976. Handcuffed, Dimka who wore a katftan dress watched journalists listen to a tape recording of his appearance before the board of inquiry for about five minutes. He confirmed that the voice on the tape was his own and that it was a recording made at his interrogation. He emphasised that the statement was not made under duress. According to a Daily Times publication, ‘’13 Years of Military Rule 1966-79’’ the highlights of Dimka’s confessional statements included, ‘’Frankly speaking, I should say the beginning of the coup idea was around January this year (1976).’’ He said he had discussions with some persons including former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon in London and when he returned to the country, he decided to assign responsibilities to members of the young revolutionaries conscripted into the plan. But Gowon, who was in exile at the time denied any prior knowledge of the coup attempt. Dimka also claimed the coup plot was hatched by young officers who resolved not to involve any Lieutenant Colonel and above except himself in a bid to effect a change of government. In his confessional statement, he said, Gen. Bisalla had complained to him and expressed his frustration that despite being a member of the Supreme Military Council (SMC), each time there was a decision to be taken, he was either sent to one place or the other. Dimka said ‘’ Bisalla told me that whatever will happen he want us to go ahead, and work out the details.’’ Explaining how responsibilities were distributed, the leader of the coup plot said ‘’ When I met Major Rabo, he said that he had finally distributed responsibilities. Major Rabo was for target one- Head of State, Lt. Dauda was for target two- Lt. Gen. Obasanjo, Lawrence Garba was for target three- Lt. Gen. Danjuma. ‘’Major Gagara was for Ilorin and Sokoto, Jos had nobody. The main centres of operations were Kaduna, Ibadan, Benin where there are Radio stations’’. He also listed the targets of attack, that is, those to be eliminated as the Head of State, the four GOCs, Col. Babangida, Col. Bajowa, Col. Mohammed of Sokoto, Col. Ibrahim Taiwo of Kwara, Col. Abdullahi of Jos and Col. Jemibewon of Ibadan.’’ Dimka also confessed before the military board of inquiry how Zakari showed him the NBC broadcasting section on February 12, a day before the coup attempt. On how the ex-Head of State was killed, he said ‘’ I stood at George Street with Major Rabo to wait until such a time when the Head of State’s car was coming out. There, one Capt. Malaki who was to give the warning order. Capt. Malaki was to be on the watch to signal Major Rabo and Lt. William Seri on the approach of the vehicle. So I came up and I was at the petrol station waiting. ‘’I was behind while we were talking when the Commander –in-Chief’s car passed. In fact, I did not even see it until when Malaki said the car has passed. So, we rushed in and then followed and the car was held somewhere just opposite the petrol station. ‘’Lt. Seri was approaching the car when we stopped and Major Rabo rushed to him, then the firing started. ‘’ Dimka confessed that after the Head of State was assassinated, he went to the NBC and made his broadcast that the young revolutionaries had taken over the government. At the end of his trial, coup leader and a number of others were found guilty of treason and murder. Their death sentences were confirmed by the Supreme Military Council. Dimka and seven others were eventually executed by firing squad at Kirikiri Prisons on May 15, 1976, for their part in the abortive coup. Also executed among the squad was the former Governor of the then Benue Plateau State, Joseph Gomwalk. However, two NCOs, Sgt. Clement Yildar and Corporal Dauda Usman escaped and were never found. They were declared wanted by the authorities. The situation led to the promulgation by Olusegun Obasanjo regime of certain retrospective decrees and new military laws justifying mass executions for coup participation. FRANCIS FAMOROTI. ×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× Fellow Nigerians, This is Lt. Col. BS Dimka. I now explain why we the Young Revolutionaries of the Armed Forces have found it necessary to overthrow the six month old government of Murtala. On the 29th July 1975 the Government of General Gowon was overthrown. Some of the reasons given for the change were: a. Corruption b. Indecision c. Arrest and detention without trial d. Weakness on the part of the Head of State e. Maladministration in general and a host of other malpractice. Every honest Nigerian will agree with me that since the change over of government there has not been any physical development in the whole country generally. All we have is arbitrary dismissal of innocent Nigerians who have contributed in no less amount to the building of this great nation. A Professor was arrested, detained, dismissed and later taken to court on an article which every honest Nigerian will agree that all the points contained in that article were 100% truth. The sad point about it all is that those who initiated the retirement or dismissal exercise are the worst offenders. You will be informed about the ill-gotten wealth in my next announcement. The acting General Manager of the Nigerian Airways was invited to the Dodan Barracks and detained without trial. The people of this country have been living in a state of fear. The Armed Forces promotion exercise is still fresh in your minds. Whatever reasons they have for the promotion one can only say that they are ambitious. They in fact took over power to enrich themselves. We are convinced that some of the programmes announced for a return to civilian rule are made to favor a particular group. To mention only one. Maitama Sule is a politician. But has been appointed Chief of Commissioners for Complaints. This is to prepare him for the next political head at all cost. How many of you know that Maitama Sule is on a salary of N17,000 p.a.? In view of what I have just said and a lot more which time will not permit me to mention, we the Young Revolutionaries have once again taken over the Government to save Murtala from total disgrace and prevent him from committing further blunders and totally collapsing the country before he runs away in the name of retirement to enjoy the huge fortune he got through bribe which he has now stored outside this country. I believe that charity should begin at home Courtesy of Don Dawodu |

| body | HISTORY!

"body": "HISTORY!\n\nFebruary 13th 1976 Coup \n\nWhen Lt. Col. Bukar Dimka of the Nigeria Army Physical Training Corps stepped out of his official residence on Macpherson Road, Ikoyi, in the early hours of February 13, 1976, he had one agenda in mind; the killing of the then Head of State, Gen. Murtala Muhammed.\n\nHe achieved that criminal act by gunning down the Kano-born head of state a few minutes after the latter left the Dodan Barracks, Obalende, the official seat of the Federal Military Government at the time.\n\nMuhammed’s official black Mercedes Benz was riddled with bullets near a petrol station on Bank Road, (now Murtala Muhammed Drive) opposite the Federal Secretariat, Ikoyi. Killed along with him were, his ADC, Lt. Akintunde Akinsehinwa and driver.\n\nAfter the assassination, Dimka had made a broadcast at the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) studio in the following words;\n\n‘’Good morning fellow Nigerians, This is Lt. Col. B. Dimka of the Nigerian Army calling.\n\nI bring you good tidings. Murtala Muhammed’s deficiency has been detected. His government is now overthrown by the young revolutionaries. Any attempt to foil these plans from any quarters will be met with death.\n\nEveryone should be calm. Please stay by your radio for further announcements. All borders, air and sea ports are closed until further notice. Curfew is imposed from 6am to 6pm. Thank you. We are all together.”\n\nTwo days after Muhammed was assassinated, Dimka was declared wanted for treason and murder by military authorities. He was eventually caught at a checkpoint at Abakaliki on March 5, 1976 and brought to Lagos the following day.\n\nOn March 6, 1976, the Federal Government promptly issued a statement on his arrest as follows: ‘’His arrest followed a massive manhunt operation mounted by a combined team of the Army and Police in the area.\n\n‘’The previous day, Lt. Col Dimka had checked in at a local hotel in Afikpo under the name of Mr. C. Godwin of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Enugu. Later, on his request, the hotel manager secured for him a girl, Miss. Beatrice Agboli, with whom to spend the night.\n\n‘’A few hours later, the local Police security was alerted and they closed up on him. At about 10.30 pm, he bolted away through the window of the toilet of his hotel room into a nearby thick bush, abandoning his car with a dangling registration number ECC 6253.”\n\n‘’The continuous joint manhunt operation by the Army and Police resulted in his subsequent arrest near Abakaliki.’’\n\nBarely few hours after he was brought to Lagos, he was interrogated by the military Board of Inquiry led by Major Gen. E. O. Abisoye.\n\nHowever while Dimka was being quizzed, 32 people including Major Gen. Illiya Bisalla, who had already been tried for their roles in the attempted coup were executed in Lagos on March 11, 1976.\n\nThe only civilian executed among them was Abdulkarim Zakari, a graduate of University of Ibadan, who was said to have led Dimka and others into the studios of the NBC on February 13, 1976. | body | A man can travel for eight hours 'just to have sex with a female friend and yet, not love her. Sex makes men act as if they are in love. The eight hours travel sacrifice, gifts bought, hotel paid for and other expenses may seem to be coming from true love but they were all in the sacrifice for sex and nothing more. The foolish thing is this, majority of women would jump up inside them and conclude that this is art of true love. Sex is not an art of commitment. Men still leave the women they sleep with on bed and start thinking of the next woman to sleep with. The satisfaction that comes from sex dies in minutes. It is in the nature of Lions to go miles to hunt. The same with men. A man who can afford the expenses of flying from America to Nigeria for sex would do it as if he would never turn to another woman for sex. Sex drives men to do what seems like the impossible and such turns women around and they start acting weird. Sex and love are not in the same page even in dictionary. People can abandon their gold mines and dig the grave for sex. Most young men do terrible things just to have the resources to keep many girls in their life. You may think they are working hard to live well in the future but they are just living for fun and that is all. Students are now living together like husbands and wives, and our society calls it love. What kind of people do these students become when they leave school? This is why we have a lot of frustrated graduates than nation building graduates. Today, a 16 year old girl is already into sex. She wants to wear everything on trend. She is already a prostitute in the sense that any man that comes her way for relationship must show some signs of money and she would respond to him. The funny thing is this, almost all those girls that have become sex symbols end up in deep mess. How many of them today is changing the world they are into? What kind of spirit would they do well with in life? They have sold their souls out to sex. They pride on what they wear and hotels they go to. That is their biggest achievement. The girls they called cowards are setting up economic empires. Their future is already exhausted when they come to their true senses? Advice to my beloved brothers and sisters: For men; never allow your erection today to destroy your future directions, stay positive. My sisters, all that glitters is not gold, make your future bright and its start today. -Copied |
