This tide though is turning as the word slowly gets out to the public that there are several cable TV replacement products and services on the marketplace.  \n\n2008 recession started the trend\n\nThe writing has been on the wall for some time because after the 2008 recession, Americans have sought out ways to cut their expenses. During this time digital streaming services have continued to hit the marketplace, with Hulu, Sling TV, and Netflix for example. \n\nThe transfer from the traditional cable box to a broadband App based internet streaming device is in full swing. The traditional cable companies have not adapted and continue with their business as usual products and services plan. Their fees continue to go up every year and they continue to charge their customers extra for items which should be included in their basic fees.  \n\nBroadband speeds that Americans have access to have opened them up to this new entertainment technology. Now Americans can use the internet to stream in their content and tell the cable companies where they can put their outdated boxes and their ever increasing fees. \n\nCosts is the main motivator  \n\nCost is a major part of this shift, given most Americans do not feel a monthly subscription fee of $100 - $200 is worth from the return they are receiving from the cable companies. Do you? \n\nWith internet streaming television services, those fees can be reduced to between $30-$50 per month depending on the service and plan you choose. \n\nThe younger generation is setting the trend \n\nThe younger generation, ages 18-29 say streaming services are the way they receive their television content as opposed to the traditional cable TV box. But with the spread of the mobile phones that all Americans seem to carry these days, the older generations are beginning to jump on board this trend as well. \n\nThe younger generation grew up with the internet so they are more familiar with it. That means the consumer can load every website, app, video, .gif, etc., equally, regardless of where the content is hosted. For example, an ISP may not charge more for sites that stream movies or promote a specific agenda. This is also referred to as the open internet.\n\nRepealed Last Week\n\nDespite all of the protests from the public, our government could give a damn and overturned it. Despite this latest strike against our freedoms, some of our elected officials will do the right thing and take the FCC who made the ruling to court. State Attorney Generals from New York, Illinois, Oregon, Massachusetts, and Washington have already declared they will file litigation against the FCC. \n\nThe FCC takes it further \n\nNot only has the FCC taken this draconian measure, they have also tried to block the states from making their own net neutrality laws. It's interesting that, after trying to wash their hands of regulating ISPs, The FCC is also trying to make sure that local governments can't govern them either. Talk about a double whammy into the face of the consumer. The FCC is talking out of both sides of their mouth first saying it has no power over broadband service, then to say it can use that absence of power to supersede the states.\" \n\nThe States Move Forward \n\nNeedless to say, the states are ignoring the FCC and moving ahead with their own plans. So far, California, Washington, and New York state legislators have announced their intent to regulate ISPs since the FCC won't. in a total of 22 states broadband privacy legislation was proposed in 2017 and we can expect net neutrality laws to be included as well. Congress isn't sitting idly by either. The bill,  HR 4585,  Save Net Neutrality Act of 2017 has already been proposed. \n\nDictatorship and America Don’t mix \n\nOur federal government once again has stepped over their bounds. We in a free and open society are born with god given rights that no government can change or abolish. These rights include a free exchange of information and ideas. In the late 21st century, one the ways we do this is through the internet. The internet belongs to “we the people” and we will decide how to best use it.",

I have had mine for 10 months now and the content it offers is unbelievable. I paid a one-time fee to purchase the box and there has been nothing else to pay. There are no contracts that you are required to sign that the Cable companies require so they can take more of your money should you ever wish to cancel. My cable TV bill was over $100 and today, it is zero. \n\nTrending\n\nI’ll now explain to you how the Tigerstream box is set up and what it offers. The box already comes loaded with entertainment content but if you wish to add more, you’ll be able to. The components of the box are organized for you in a series of tabs. Underneath these tabs are sub tabs. When the content for the box loads, it will come up on the “Trending” tab. This will show you the content that most Tigerstream TV users are viewing. \n\nMovies\n\nThe next tab is more movies. There are multiple add ons you can access to locate and find for the most part any movie you want. Most are separated into categories like year, most viewed, most popular, Oscar winner, IMDB top 250, etc. You’ll have access to moves from HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and Starz as well. \n\nTV shows\n\nMoving on there is the TV shows tab. There you can find older shows, newer shows, you name it. My wife likes to watch King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Friends and its all there. If you like the current popular shows like Stranger Things, Vikings, Dark, The Walking Dead, The Punisher, Shameless, The Flash, and Game of Thrones, they are also available. \n\nThe box also allows you to save you favorite content via a “Favorites” area which cuts down your time on locating the programming the next time you want to watch something specific. \n\nTV Guides\n\nThere are three TV guides similar to the guide you are familiar with your Cable TV service. The guides are called Veritas, Rogue, and World Streams and they all allow you to watch a diversified selection of programming that is currently broadcasting on TV. If you are looking for news – CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, its all there. Sports – ESPN, Fox Sports, TSN from Canada, they have it all. TV shows from CBS, NBC, FOX, are all available. There are hundreds of channels to choose from so you’ll always find something that you like. \n\n \n\nInternational \n\nThere is an international tab that allows you to view entertainment from all over the world. News broadcasts like the BBC, Sky News, France 24, RAI are all there. You can even choose a country and watch news, shows, and movies in this language. \n\nMusic\n\nThere is also a music tab where you can choose a music albums, artists, songs, and genres,..If you want to  put on some relaxing classical music, its available to you. If you want to rock out with some Heavy Metal, you can find this as well. There are sub-tabs for the music to play and you can also access music videos as well. \n\nSports\n\nThere is also a sports tab which is truly remarkable. If you want to watch your typical American sports like baseball, basketball, football, & hockey, it’s all there. If you like tennis, golf you can watch this as well. If you like soccer from Europe or Rugby abroad, you’ll be abe to find it. There are no extra packages to buy like the cable companies offer for the NHL, NFL, MLB, or the NBA. It’s all included with your box.  \n\nFitness\n\nNext is the Fitness tab that I hardly use. This has fitness videos available should you wish to move in front of your telly. \n\nSystem\n\nNext there is system tab, where you can monitor the behind the scenes workings of your box. .Using this tab, you can also install additional add-ons to the incredible content already installed onto your box. I like to stay up to date with the latest add-ons that are available and if they are appealing to me, I can add them onto my box. \n\nAll Add-Ons\n\nThe final tab is the “All Add-Ons”tab. With this tab, you can customize the add ons that you want to access on your box.. You can have access to thousands of these add ons but what I like to do is go through them and narrow the ones that I like. There are add-ons for sports, news, documentaries, music, concerts, kids cartoons, educational shows, TV shows, movies, you name it. You can set up the box they way you want it.
