      "body": "This talk about never sell at a loss I want to believe is just a personal trading style. It's not a rule. It may not work for you. You choose what works for you. A case in point is trig. I bought trig when it was 60k Satoshi. Then all of a sudden it went to 63k then started a downward trend. Went below 60k. And then sticking to one principle of never sell at loss you keep your coins. Hoping that someday it'll go above 60k again. Yes, maybe it will. But the fact is trig is about 11k today....damn. If only I had sold when it was 50k or 40k I would've cut my losses. And the truth is I may have done  trade with same funds that were stuck in trig and generated more profit than the little I would've lost. So the point is \"never sell at loss\"  is one principle not rule. But so is \"setting stop loss\" This has to do with you selling your coin when it goes a little below your bought price so as to cut losses early if trade didn't go as expected. Then u can now use the available funds to trade other coins and make profit. Just a humble opinion.\nBring down your views.. Sometimes, when I'm being presented with an 'opportunity',  I have the immediate urge to jump straight in- lucky I know myself well enough (not all the time) to wait before making a decision. If you put sufficient time between an incident (being offered an 'opportunity') and acting  you may be surprised at conclusion you draw. \n\nThe reaction and the analysis areas of the brain  are separate.  They do inform each other but they operate separately.  When something critical happens  its important that we can respond to that immediately as a reaction. Our reactionary instincts are very necessary. Scam artists will try to make you feel like you need to make a decision on the spot so that you only use your impulse part of brain before you can engage the rest of your intelligence. \n\nAn interesting thing I read recently was that if an online checkout is slow to complete then the business has  a high number of people drop out of their sales. This would suggest that if the checkout process is slow then the sensible part of the brain has had the chance to catch up with the impulse part of the brain.",

Almost everywhere you turn, there is a certain coin to mine, a product to invest in, or a cryptocurrency based MLM that promises extraordinary payouts. The number of individuals who subscribe to these programs, on a daily basis, rises exponentially.\nBefore this current wave of events, there have been similar cases where money making programs, that looked too good to be true, appeared and sucked people in, only to suddenly collapsed. Victims of such scams have always been left in pains and regrets, for those who lived through the disappointments.\nWhy do scams persist?\nOne question that remains to be answered is the reason why the public keeps falling for this agelong trick, despite their own previous painful experiences or those experienced by others within the space. Another major issue that persists is how to identify such schemes, for what they truly represent, in the early stages, especially as it relates to cryptocurrencies.\nAccording to Bob Wood, the founder and CEO of Nexxus Partners, scams of all kinds feed on two ingredients to create their perfect storm: ignorance and greed. Wood explains that new technologies are not understood by most people, enabling scammers to twist the facts just enough to include some truth mixed with deception, so as to occasionally fool individuals.\nWood says:\n“If any guilt is to be found with most people, it is not for perpetuating a scam, but for not fully vetting the claims.”\nWood points out that scams are often propagated within social circles based on trusted relationships, often in churches, work associates and other social groups. In such cases, he notes that the people often look to the reputation of the presenter, trusting that they would never try to cheat them, instead of asking what has been done to fully prove or disprove the opportunity claims.\nThe categories of cryptocurrency scam\nWood categorizes cryptocurrency scams into two groups:\n\n1. Opportunities pretending to be cryptocurrency\nAccording to Wood, the fundamental principles of cryptocurrency includes decentralization, privacy, unlimited use, controlled supply, and transparency with a public ledger, called a Blockchain, and publicly disclosed source code for anyone to verify. Any entity that does not satisfy these requirements cannot pass for a genuine cryptocurrency.\nThe biggest culprit in this category, as noted by Wood, is Onecoin.\n“OneCoin is an illegal Ponzi scheme, promising unrealistic returns on investment that only come from new investor’s money,” he says.\n\n2. Real cryptocurrencies with no real value creator\n\nWood has classified under this group, those cryptocurrencies that may have passed the fundamentally required principles but have failed to deliver value to the marketplace to drive buyer demand with a user benefit.\nWood explains that building a cryptocurrency is usually a simple process and can be achieved within a couple of days for less than the cost of one Bitcoin. However, he says that the real challenge is building a market for the coin with an ecosystem to use the coin for real value exchange.\n\nProper education is the solution\nWood further explains that value creation is what companies must do in order to increase the price of their stock in the marketplace. A typical example that he points out is what Ethereum did with their own internal currency, the Ether coin.\n“Ethereum provides a development platform for Blockchain applications,” he explains.\n“Programmers pay Ethereum for the processing power that they consume in Ether coins. It’s actually a brilliant strategy to drive buyer demand for the Ether coin. This was reflected earlier this year when the Ether coin went from $0.50 to $21.50 in less than 6 months. That’s a good example of real value delivery.”\nWood concludes by making clear that cryptocurrency is a grassroots movement that will create trillion dollar industries and reshape human culture. He says that it will also eventually enjoy transaction volumes approaching that of Visa and MasterCard.       "body": "Who pays a bitcoin miner?\n\n\nApproximately once every 10 minutes since January 3, 2009 at 18:15:05 UTC, one miner in the world\n has found/will find a valid Bitcoin block that meets the current difficulty requirements. When that\n happens, the block reward and the transaction fees will be distributed to the wallet(s) configured \nby that miner in that block. These two sources make up all of a miner’s income.\nBlock rewards are the only way that new Bitcoins are mined. The block reward started at 50 \nBTC/block and halves every 210,000 blocks. This is why the current block reward is 12.5 BTC/block \nas of Sept 2017.\n\n\n Transaction fees for a block are the sum of the fees paid for all new transactions included in that\n block. For example, we might send you .5 BTC and specify a fee of .00004 BTC as incentive for miners\n to include that transaction in their block. The first miner to include that transaction in an accepted\n block will then earn that .00004 BTC in addition to the block reward and fees from other included \n transactions.\n\n\n Early on, transaction fees were a negligible source of miner income since there were very few\n transactions and the block reward was high. However, as the block reward diminishes and the \nnumber of transactions grows this trend will reverse and block rewards will become negligible\n and transaction fees will dominate earnings.\n\n\nMining pools are another layer on top of this. Instead of the reward and fees going to a single \nminer, they instead have a number of miners pooling their efforts and splitting the rewards based\n on that pool's rules.
