| title | BITCOIN IS CONFIGURED TO SUBMIT ANOTHER HARDFORK TO CREATE 'BITCOIN ATOM' |
| body | Since the creation of Bitcoin by Satoshi Nakamoto, there have been several modifications to the underlying protocol and totally new projects have bifurcated from this original protocol. Litecoin, Dash, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, among others, have found their existence with each of them claiming peculiar Bitcoin improvements. Currently, the Bitcoin block chain is facing a series of weaknesses that has attracted great criticism of the most popular and successful block chain in existence. However, this is not a surprise since even Satoshi himself from the beginning made it clear that he was open to discussions about his idea. The inherent weaknesses identified have led to several predictions from opposing groups about the possible dethronement of Bitcoin as the number 1 cryptocurrency. Let's see its characteristics Speed. The speed with which transactions are confirmed today in the Bitcoin block chain is very far from what it used to be even two years ago. Deferred transactions have become a common scenario in the chain of Bitcoin blocks, which increases the frequency with which we find frustrated users. It is considered that its development is the main reason why the cryptocurrency is not suitable for transaction purposes, together with its high rate of volatility. Apparently, to encourage general adoption, the value at the time of execution of a transaction should not vary from the moment of receipt. This is not the case today since Bitcoin transactions take several hours, and sometimes days before being confirmed. Several arguments have arisen as a result of this weakness and innovations such as SegWit and even the eventual hardfork that gave rise to Bitcoin Cash have been based on the efficiency of the network. Value of the transaction. Transaction fees have become a scare in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Sometimes, the fees are so high that they can be called absurd. Technically, Bitcoin transaction fees are determined based on the number of transactions and the size in kilobytes of each transaction. However, these rates do not go to any central authority, but to the miners as rewards for the confirmation of the transaction. Therefore, transactions with higher inputs will require more work, so in times of greater market volatility, as is the case at present, miners are attracted to transactions with fewer inputs. This implies less work for them, therefore, the transactions with the greatest quantity of inputs (which are generally more popular) will have to pay higher rates in order to be attractive for the miners. Frequently, these rates deny the assumption that peer-to-peer transactions are the most economical method of sending remittances. Quasi-centralization. The Bitcoin blockchain is a decentralized platform, at least by design. However, the recent configuration of the ecosystem considers that most mining powers rest in the hands of a few individuals. As a community that is governed by consensus, this implies that these few miners who control most of the dispersal power will always have the last word. Many argue that this gives the community a perspective of a centralized system and, as such, works that way. Another hardfork - Bitcoin Atom. The Bitcoin blockchain is about to experience another hardfork from an anonymous team that claims to defend the original principles of Satoshi Nakamoto while creating Bitcoin Atom (BCA). According to the team leader who chooses to remain anonymous, to provide a solution to the dual problem of speed and cost, the protocol will execute mechanisms both inside and outside the chain (ie, acceleration and atomic changes). He points out that although centralization is a less obvious weakness for Bitcoin, the risks posed by the exchanges in which the cryptocurrency is normally traded are a sufficient cause for concern for the industry. What is the opinion of the team? "Centralization is less obvious, but the problem with the main transfer of value in the cryptographic world is exchange. Regulators can hack or dismantle centralized exchanges, and decentralized exchanges like Etherdelta do not exchange bitcoins and only exchange tokens ERC-20. Even in that, they can be hacked, "he says. The Bitcoin Atom team claims to include exchange functions also at the protocol level in the Bitcoin nodes themselves, so that nobody can control the exchange but the system itself. However, this protocol will combine the working test and the participation test that will be based on the old Bitcoin code base, unlike previous similar implementations. The bifurcation is expected to occur between January 24 and 25, 2018 in block 505 888. |

| body | You can already carry a drone in your pocket and with a price within everyone's reach. It's about Selfly, a smartphone case that is also a drone. Although its scope is not of the largest, the device allows to obtain aerial images of up to 13 meters away and controlled by the cell itself. How does the sleeve-drone work? The device has two formats: sheath and drone. When it is adjusted to be a cell phone case, its thickness is 1.2 centimeters and can be placed in the pocket without fear of breaking, this works for Android phones and iPhone sizes between 4 and 6 inches. To transform it into a drone, it is very simple. Slide the robot with the camera with the propellers of the base and connect it. You can control it in three ways: buy a joystick and connect it to the drone and cell phone to guide you manually. The other two ways depend exclusively on the cell phone. The user can see the flight of the drone in real time and control their movements in a synchronized way or can adjust the configuration of the image before flying, for example, if it is defined that it should fly at a height of 2 meters and make a turn of 360 degrees, the device captures the image autonomously. The drone has a battery independent from the cell phone and can not hold more than 4 minutes of flight, as well as its range can not exceed 13 meters away. The quality of the camera is 12 megapixels and it can record videos in full HD. #### How do I buy it and how much does it cost? You can only buy it on the crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo. The funda-drone costs 109 US dollars, but the package also includes the charger that has a value of 134 dollars. |

| title | Visa CEO: "Bitcoin is not a payment system" |
| body | According to the leader of the credit giant, Bitcoin is just a product in which "someone could invest." Visa, the pioneer company in the field of credit cards, had so far had little to say about Bitcoin. However, in a recent interview published by CNBC, Alfred Kelly, CEO of the company, broke the silence. Recorded at the conference of the National Retail Federation of New York, Kelly issued his opinion on the most famous cryptocurrency: * #### "I do not see Bitcoin as a payment system but as a speculative product. In Visa we will not process transactions based on cryptoactives, only in fiat currency ". The statement is aligned with the actions of the Visa subsidiary, Wavercrest, which eliminated its debit card services to dozens of European companies that specialize in cryptocurrency cards. The funny thing is that, at that time-about 15 days ago-Visa denied that she felt threatened by the electronic currencies and insisted that the suspension was due to irregularities with Wavercrest's own clients. * #### "Considering that Visa processes more than 100 billion transactions a year compared to 130 million bitcoins, it is premature to say that the company feels threatened. Whatever Bitcoin is, it's not a killer for us so far. " This way, many users in the community were not sure, and Kelly's comments have only reinforced suspicions, as they arrived just as the US Treasury Department described virtual currencies as a "threat in evolution". |

| title | Portugal: Consumer Protection Association says Bitcoin investors must pay taxes |
| body | The argument of the DECO argues that if Bitcoin is an asset, it should be taxable like any other similar asset. The tax would be 28% per transaction. Although in the European country there are no regulations for cryptocurrencies, the Ministry of Finance considers that digital currencies are taxable if they are obtained through professional activity At a time when the cryptocurrency ecosystem suffers a significant correction due to the fact that Bitcoin fell below the USD $ 10,000 mark yesterday, the Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection DECO wants the government to impose contributions, that is to say, serious taxes, to cryptocurrency investors. According to the local publication Sábado, the organization sent a proposal to tax the profits of cryptocurrencies to the Ministry of Finance and the European commissioner in charge of consumer protection. According to the publication, DECO affirms that a standard tax of 28% should be applied to the profits of the cryptocurrency operation, since the same tax percentage is applied to the profits obtained from the shares and other financial instruments. DECO revealed the movement in an edition of its magazine Proteste Investe, aimed at traditional investors. According to the organization, it is unfair that traditional investors must deliver almost a third of their profits, while cryptocurrency investors do not have to pay anything. In its text it reads: * ##### What is the argument for not taxing this type of financial operation? A small saver who lends his savings to the state (through savings certificates) or who invests in a company's stock and creates wealth and employment sees that the government holds almost a third of its profits (income and capital gains usually they are taxed at 28%). How can we justify this fiscal inequality? It's hard". André Gouveia, a DECO economist, reiterated that any other type of investment is subject to a 28% tax and cryptocurrencies are still unfairly exempt. Despite the lack of regulations, the Ministry of Finance has made it clear that Bitcoin does not have a legal framework in the country, and yet claims that the profits of cryptocurrencies are taxable if obtained as a result of a professional activity. According to the average Saturday, the government currently maintains the potential Bitcoin regulations that are in the hands of the European Union (EU). Apparently, the government allows financial regulators, such as the country's central bank, to handle any problem related to cryptocurrencies, together with the EU. When asked, PS Parliamentary Group vice president, party spokesman João Galamba, said "Bitcoin should be regulated at European and G20 level" and added that it would be counterproductive for the country to create "isolated initiatives". Saturday also spoke with the parties of left and right. Left parties said they do not plan to do anything about cryptocurrencies, while right-wing parties said they were "closely following" the issue, and one of the parties added that it is assessing the need for potential regulations. Portuguese bank Santander Totta recently started blocking transactions related to Bitcoin, a move that caused some of its clients to change banks. As reported, Portugal's finance minister and Eurogroup president, Mário Centeno, has said he is confident that regulators are monitoring the impact of Bitcoin. |

| title | HOW TO BEGIN A LABOR CAREER IN BLOCKCHAIN: MARKETING, PUBLIC RELATIONS, EDITORIAL AND LAW |
| body | In the Cordoba Bitcoin community numerous people and companies inside and outside the ecosystem are sure that blockchain will change the world and that every day the new industry will grow more. In this framework, the writer Sasha Ivanova shares with CriptoNoticias her ideas about how to start working on blockchain-based projects. In the previous installment we shared some strategies so that people with knowledge in web development could see job opportunities related to blockchain companies. In this sense, it is necessary to point out the interest of academic institutions for blockchain. It is enough to investigate in Udemy or Cursera to get courses related to the development of this technology. On this occasion, we will show how other specialists can find a growth field to start a blockchain career. ## WORK IN MARKETING, MANAGEMENT, PUBLIC RELATIONS, EDITORIAL, LAW If for developers it is relatively easy to decide whether or not blockchain technology is of interest to them, managers and marketers see that, above all, pure hype (euphoria). Some believe it is a bubble, others seek to obtain large short-term bonuses. "The problem in the industry is that there are people who do not know anything about cryptoeconomics, but they see a lot of money. For this, one must be able to distinguish pure marketing projects from those that are worthwhile. Remember that the fall of dotcoms happened for a simple reason: marketing expenses exceeded the demand for the product. In blockchain you have to create markets, platforms for the interaction of other companies, and not just provide services. The services can be provided without blockchain ", comments Sergey Sergienko, founder of the Chronobank. Blockchain projects require marketers (market technicians) and managers who understand and share the ideas of decentralization, collaborative economy and open source. Its mission would be to promote the solution of the problem of confidence in blockchain. To understand what we are doing here, for a moment we have to forget what we call "fiat mind". In blockchain, the lies are discovered quickly, in CriptoNoticias several notes about scammers in the industry have already been published. Some salespeople and managers do not like that. Others, on the contrary, like transparency very much. The success of a blockchain project depends on the concentration of the efforts of a multifunctional team. It is not possible to sell smoke. ## ADMINISTRATION All members of the marketing team must be able to promote the product and know how to do it. It is part of the work of the CFO, financial director, attracts large investments, for example. In a blockchain startup the CFO is not a common financial director, which only manages the flow of the company's funds. The CFO blockchain, together with the executive director, has to demonstrate the advantages of blockchain solutions to skeptical investors. He has to work on the economy of the token and create the conditions for its growth. Must be a charismatic person with the ability to speak in public, as the economy of the token is publicly presented in Roadshows, meetups and conferences, including international events. The CFO fee is $ 10,000 per month with an individual bonus, which depends on the investors attracted by it. The business development manager (business development manager), product manager or growth-hacker, directs the creation of the product (blockchain, platform, ICO) to take into account the interests of all the target groups. The salary is $ 2,500 to $ 3,000 per month. The project manager or project manager manages and manages the equipment that can be located simultaneously in time zones from Singapore to San Francisco. Although experts try to hire for people who work in an office, it is difficult to gather crypto-decentralized enthusiasts in one place. The project manager must understand the legal aspects, be a good salesperson, have international promotion skills. And in addition to be flexible, to feel comfortable in the cryptongue that changes constantly. Your salary is $ 2000 to $ 2,500 per month. In KickICO, for example, the project manager must know how to analyze and evaluate prospects from different points of view, for example to recognize scam projects. For this we look for specialists with analytical skills, at the same time we teach them to see projects with the 4C method (concept, code, coin, community). ## MARKETING To promote the project in the launching stage and keep it in time, simultaneous efforts of marketing specialists are needed. The team will need at least one marketing director, a digital marketing specialist with the ability to attract international traffic (Chinese, English, Russian, Spanish). They must understand the financial and cryptocurrency markets, the main audiences, and be able to solve complex tasks. The marketing director must have excellent knowledge of the market. You must know the interests of each group of users and know how to transmit them. In addition to traffic and work with partners, personal contacts are valued in large companies and cryptoactive investment funds. The marketing director receives between $ 3000 and $ 4000 per month, but if that person attracts large investors, he can receive a 6-figure fee. A team usually hires regional marketing specialists focused on Asia, Russia, Europe, Latin America and North America. The best paid are specialists in the Chinese, Indian, European and North American markets. Marketing specialists earn $ 1,500 or $ 2,000 per month or its equivalent in cryptocurrencies. ## COMMUNICATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS The community manager develops the relationships between the user community. The blockchain projects have strong communities, because among the main premises of this technology are self-management and decentralization. The community manager must understand the project in which he works very well. Not only read the White Paper, but understand the economy and the technical aspects of the platform. You will have to choose and train the team to support it. Some key skills you need are analysis and the ability to negotiate. Your salary can be estimated from $ 1000 per month or its equivalent in cryptocurrencies. Communication and public relations in cryptocurrency. Image by KickICO. The support manager helps the participants. In addition to knowing your product, being close to the contact, being enthusiastic and willing to help, the support analyst must have a critical thinking. Many trolls are written in the chat, which bother the team and other users. The support solves problems, removes the insane, responds to justified claims. Earn $ 1000 per month or its equivalent in cryptocurrencies. The bounty administrator, in the case of ICO, communicates with the members of the collection program and keeps record of remuneration. The bounty is a program of participation in ICO to obtain the tokens that are not yet issued. Participants are given tasks: look for vulnerabilities in the code, translate publications and articles, promote ICO in their social networks. In addition to communicative skills and prolixity, the bounty manager must understand the public well: many come to bounty only for free tokens and do not do tasks in a very responsible manner. In the network you can find bounty instruction or collection. People write articles, make art, translate. Sometimes he does it with enthusiasm, but not professionally. That's why you have to filter. The bounty manager must have a critical vision for the design and for the texts. Your salary can be $ 1200 plus project tokens. The specialist in public relations promotes the project in international web networks, looks for means of crypto-industry, prepares texts together with the editor, communicates with journalists. The contacts in the media are highly valued. In addition, the public relations specialist promotes projects on social networks, speaks at conferences, works with opinion leaders and prepares events. Your salary is calculated around $ 1000 per month or its equivalent in cryptocurrencies. In public relations, it is not possible to receive money and do nothing. As the result depends on the coordinated actions of everyone, the failure of one immediately affects the outcome of the other. A dishonest can put the entire campaign at risk. The editor must understand the blockchain theme well and handle the terminology. It is necessary to know how to present information on different websites. The editor prepares press releases, analytical articles, interviews. He selects authors and translators. The contacts of media publishers and a group of authors on financial and IT issues are highly valued. The publisher earns $ 1500 to $ 2000 per month or its equivalent in cryptocurrencies. The editor corrects the texts on the web, along with the legal representative writes the White Paper. The White Paper is the main document of a blockchain project, in some publications there are suggestions of how to write it. The authors on the topic of the blockchain write articles, investigate and analyze the industry. The editors write publications on social networks and press releases. Translators translate articles into cryptomes. All those who write must understand the subject of the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The authors on average earn $ 100 for small text, $ 200 for a medium text and up to 1 ETH for an extensive and analytical text. To understand the spirit of decentralization, authors must begin by reading the cryptocurrency resources and viewing the videos of the conferences. These types of articles can be read in CriptoNoticias, true crypto-enthusiasts. ## LAW The lawyer accompanies the emerging company in blockchain. The difficulty for him is that the legal status of cryptocurrencies and the constant changes in the laws is not clear. The lawyer must understand the different jurisdictions and control the attitude of the cryptocurrency regulators around the world. A lawyer who works in an emerging company in blockchain must have knowledge of copyright in different countries. It can also be the escrow or treasurer of the project. The attorneys' fees are agreed individually. You can begin to familiarize yourself with the legal aspects and cryptocurrency over here. ## HOW TO SEARCH A JOB? In blockchain there are head hunters looking for talents. Your work is very difficult. As there are no educational institutions where specialists are trained, head-hunters estimate the potential of people almost blindly. The speed with which a person can adapt is extremely important: the cryptocurrency market is changing too fast. Those who are already familiar with blockchain prefer to look for work without intermediaries, because it is the decentralization philosophy and a good policy. The candidates will invest in the project their most valuable resource: time. You have to choose the project with an investor's eye. Analyze the project with 4C (concept, code, coin, community). Talk to the executive director, listen to the talk of the project representatives, read the articles. If the project does not have data that is easy to verify, you have to say "no". Write directly to the person responsible for the community, for example, to the community manager. He will send the right person for the desired job. It may happen that the response is delayed, but in the blockchain companies all are eternally occupied. Be sure to remind them about what you are interested in. |

"title": "HOW TO BEGIN A LABOR CAREER IN BLOCKCHAIN: MARKETING, PUBLIC RELATIONS, EDITORIAL AND LAW",
"body": "\n\nIn the Cordoba Bitcoin community numerous people and companies inside and outside the ecosystem are sure that blockchain will change the world and that every day the new industry will grow more. In this framework, the writer Sasha Ivanova shares with CriptoNoticias her ideas about how to start working on blockchain-based projects.\n\nIn the previous installment we shared some strategies so that people with knowledge in web development could see job opportunities related to blockchain companies. In this sense, it is necessary to point out the interest of academic institutions for blockchain. It is enough to investigate in Udemy or Cursera to get courses related to the development of this technology.\n\nOn this occasion, we will show how other specialists can find a growth field to start a blockchain career.\n\n## WORK IN MARKETING, MANAGEMENT, PUBLIC RELATIONS, EDITORIAL, LAW\nIf for developers it is relatively easy to decide whether or not blockchain technology is of interest to them, managers and marketers see that, above all, pure hype (euphoria). Some believe it is a bubble, others seek to obtain large short-term bonuses.\n\n\"The problem in the industry is that there are people who do not know anything about cryptoeconomics, but they see a lot of money. The services can be provided without blockchain \", comments Sergey Sergienko, founder of the Chronobank.\n\nBlockchain projects require marketers (market technicians) and managers who understand and share the ideas of decentralization, collaborative economy and open source. Its mission would be to promote the solution of the problem of confidence in blockchain. To understand what we are doing here, for a moment we have to forget what we call \"fiat mind\".\n\nIn blockchain, the lies are discovered quickly, in CriptoNoticias several notes about scammers in the industry have already been published. Some salespeople and managers do not like that. Others, on the contrary, like transparency very much. The success of a blockchain project depends on the concentration of the efforts of a multifunctional team. It is not possible to sell smoke.\n\n## ADMINISTRATION\nAll members of the marketing team must be able to promote the product and know how to do it. It is part of the work of the CFO, financial director, attracts large investments, for example.\n\nIn a blockchain startup the CFO is not a common financial director, which only manages the flow of the company's funds. The CFO fee is $ 10,000 per month with an individual bonus, which depends on the investors attracted by it.\n\nThe business development manager (business development manager), product manager or growth-hacker, directs the creation of the product (blockchain, platform, ICO) to take into account the interests of all the target groups. The salary is $ 2,500 to $ 3,000 per month.\n\nThe project manager or project manager manages and manages the equipment that can be located simultaneously in time zones from Singapore to San Francisco. Your salary is $ 2000 to $ 2,500 per month.\n\nIn KickICO, for example, the project manager must know how to analyze and evaluate prospects from different points of view, for example to recognize scam projects. For this we look for specialists with analytical skills, at the same time we teach them to see projects with the 4C method (concept, code, coin, community).\n\n## MARKETING\nTo promote the project in the launching stage and keep it in time, simultaneous efforts of marketing specialists are needed. The team will need at least one marketing director, a digital marketing specialist with the ability to attract international traffic (Chinese, English, Russian, Spanish). They must understand the financial and cryptocurrency markets, the main audiences, and be able to solve complex tasks.\n\n\n\nThe marketing director must have excellent knowledge of the market. You must know the interests of each group of users and know how to transmit them. In addition to traffic and work with partners, personal contacts are valued in large companies and cryptoactive investment funds.\n\nThe marketing director receives between $ 3000 and $ 4000 per month, but if that person attracts large investors, he can receive a 6-figure fee.\n\nA team usually hires regional marketing specialists focused on Asia, Russia, Europe, Latin America and North America. The best paid are specialists in the Chinese, Indian, European and North American markets. Marketing specialists earn $ 1,500 or $ 2,000 per month or its equivalent in cryptocurrencies.\n\n## COMMUNICATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS\nThe community manager develops the relationships between the user community. Your salary can be estimated from $ 1000 per month or its equivalent in cryptocurrencies.\n\nCommunication and public relations in cryptocurrency. Image by KickICO.\n\nThe support manager helps the participants. In addition to knowing your product, being close to the contact, being enthusiastic and willing to help, the support analyst must have a critical thinking. Many trolls are written in the chat, which bother the team and other users. The support solves problems, removes the insane, responds to justified claims. Earn $ 1000 per month or its equivalent in cryptocurrencies.\n\nThe bounty administrator, in the case of ICO, communicates with the members of the collection program and keeps record of remuneration. The bounty is a program of participation in ICO to obtain the tokens that are not yet issued. Participants are given tasks: look for vulnerabilities in the code, translate publications and articles, promote ICO in their social networks. | title | POTENTIAL SCHEME FRAUDULENT BITCONNECT CLOSES ITS EXCHANGE AND LENDING |
| body | Yesterday evening, the collapse of a project that, apparently, had more of a Ponzi scheme than a blockchain-based cryptocurrency, was witnessed again. BitConnect announced the cessation of its operations through its official blog, involving the closure of its home exchange and loans. The website is no longer online. The exchange operations were canceled and the loan balance reimbursed to the BitConnect portfolio at a price of $ 362, indicated by the CoinMarketCap site at the time of closing the platform. Right now, it reflects a fall of 86% and a value of $ 35.06 dollars, after having reached almost $ 400 at the end of November. The publication states that from now on BitConnect plans to include its API in different platforms and will seek to list this alleged cryptocurrency in other exchange offices. During the month of November of last year, the company received orders to cease operations from the UK authorities, as well as other warnings from the Texas Stock Exchange Commission and the North Carolina Stock Exchange Commission. All this occurs in a context in which possible government regulations caused a sharp decline in the entire cryptoactive market during today. Although most of the cryptocoins can recover their value in the short term, the market is relentless in terms of the credibility of the different projects. BitConnect was perceived as a fraudulent scheme and its closure is inevitable given the imposition of trust and transparency as the main norm of this ecosystem. BitConnect received a lot of criticism during its existence based on its notorious characteristics of Ponzi scheme, because with a referral system, its participants could obtain profits by lending money and being remunerated based on interest rates. However, the collapse of this scheme was not one of the reasons alleged by BitConnect, among which are argued bad press and DDoS attacks; although, apparently, investors have decided to move away from their positions. |

| title | CRYPTOACTIVE MARKET SUFFERS FALL OF MORE THAN 20% IN ONE DAY |
| body | On January 16, the cryptoactive markets awoke with even lower prices. A large number of tokens and cryptocurrencies listed in different exchange houses and market measurement sites show a drop of more than 20% against the US dollar. The web speculates with information ranging from normal market corrections after a marked upward trend, to at least three other possible reasons for this event, more linked to the fundamental analysis of the market. Among these are the proximity to the lunar new year in several countries in Asia, the increase in regulations to the cryptoactives by China and South Korea, as well as a possible manipulation of the market near the expiration, on January 17, of the first Cboe futures. The market of global capitalization of cryptoactives presents a drop of more than 20% in less than 24 hours. On the other hand, the altcoins market is showing a decrease of more than 23%. With respect to bitcoin, a day ago its price was $ 14,378 per unit and at the time of writing this article, its value is $ 11,586 each, also representing a fall of more than 20%, according to CoinMarketCap. The highest exchange volume in relation to bitcoin (BTC) is being made against the US dollar (USD) with more than 35%, against USD Tether (USDT) with more than 25% and the Japanese yen (JPY) with more than 21%. These changes are being made mainly in Bitfinex exchange houses with more than 17%, Coincheck with more than 12% (BTC / JPY) and Okex with more than 11%, according to CoinGecko. By evaluating the volumes of change, it can be seen that the Korean won (KRW) does not stand out among the changes with bitcoin recently; however, there are some unusual high volumes against the USDT, mainly in Chinese exchange houses. Even the price against the KRW continues to have premium values of $ 14,246 and against the JPY close to $ 12,798 for each bitcoin, so it could be assumed that the downward trend is not generated by South Korea, nor by Japan. Assuming that the largest exchange volumes come from Chinese funds, it could be due to the proximity of the lunar new year; one of the biggest festivities in the Asian country, generally compared to Christmas in the West, so the Chinese could be collecting profits to spend on their holidays. However, more influential could be the news about the Chinese government's intentions to further restrict transactions with cryptoactives to its citizens. On the other hand, characters from the ecosystem such as Charlie Lee commented through Twitter at the beginning of this 2018, that in the case of Cboe futures contracts, prices are governed only by the Gemini exchange house. This exchange house has very low exchange volumes compared to others with more trajectory in the ecosystem, so the price of BTC in it could easily be manipulated to achieve desired results by individuals on the Cboe futures. In either case, there is not yet a direct catalyst for the event in the cryptoactive market that took place today, so the community is doing nothing more than assumptions about it. "title": "CRYPTOACTIVE MARKET SUFFERS FALL OF MORE THAN 20% IN ONE DAY",
"body": "\n\nOn January 16, the cryptoactive markets awoke with even lower prices. A large number of tokens and cryptocurrencies listed in different exchange houses and market measurement sites show a drop of more than 20% against the US dollar.\n\nThe web speculates with information ranging from normal market corrections after a marked upward trend, to at least three other possible reasons for this event, more linked to the fundamental analysis of the market. Among these are the proximity to the lunar new year in several countries in Asia, the increase in regulations to the cryptoactives by China and South Korea, as well as a possible manipulation of the market near the expiration, on January 17, of the first Cboe futures.\n\nThe market of global capitalization of cryptoactives presents a drop of more than 20% in less than 24 hours. On the other hand, the altcoins market is showing a decrease of more than 23%. With respect to bitcoin, a day ago its price was $ 14,378 per unit and at the time of writing this article, its value is $ 11,586 each, also representing a fall of more than 20%, according to CoinMarketCap.\n\n\n\nThe highest exchange volume in relation to bitcoin (BTC) is being made against the US dollar (USD) with more than 35%, against USD Tether (USDT) with more than 25% and the Japanese yen (JPY) with more than 21%. These changes are being made mainly in Bitfinex exchange houses with more than 17%, Coincheck with more than 12% (BTC / JPY) and Okex with more than 11%, according to CoinGecko.\n\nBy evaluating the volumes of change, it can be seen that the Korean won (KRW) does not stand out among the changes with bitcoin recently; however, there are some unusual high volumes against the USDT, mainly in Chinese exchange houses. Even the price against the KRW continues to have premium values of $ 14,246 and against the JPY close to $ 12,798 for each bitcoin, so it could be assumed that the downward trend is not generated by South Korea, nor by Japan.\n\nAssuming that the largest exchange volumes come from Chinese funds, it could be due to the proximity of the lunar new year; one of the biggest festivities in the Asian country, generally compared to Christmas in the West, so the Chinese could be collecting profits to spend on their holidays. However, more influential could be the news about the Chinese government's intentions to further restrict transactions with cryptoactives to its citizens.\n\nOn the other hand, characters from the ecosystem such as Charlie Lee commented through Twitter at the beginning of this 2018, that in the case of Cboe futures contracts, prices are governed only by the Gemini exchange house. This exchange house has very low exchange volumes compared to others with more trajectory in the ecosystem, so the price of BTC in it could easily be manipulated to achieve desired results by individuals on the Cboe futures.\n\n\n\nIn either case, there is not yet a direct catalyst for the event in the cryptoactive market that took place today, so the community is doing nothing more than assumptions about it. For this reason it is important that they always invest consciously, based on research collected and with money they are willing to lose.",

| title | Women need more sleep than men because their brains work more |
| body | If you and your partner fall asleep and wake up at the same time, but he always seems more willing and alert than you, do not blame yourself (and do not blame yourself): you are not lazy. Science, dear reader, is on your side. ## Women need more sleep than men Experts recommend an average of 8 hours of sleep, which can vary according to the needs of each person's body. However, according to sleep neuroscientist Jim Horne, a professor at Loughborough University in England, the brains of women are more complex and, therefore, require a little longer rest. According to the specialist, a poor quality sleep among women is strongly associated with high levels of psychological suffering and more hostility, depression and anger, feelings not analyzed by men with lack of sleep. ## Women's brains work more But, after all, what makes women's brains more complex than men's brains? In comparison with them, women use the brain more intensely when they are multitasking individuals. This means that women's brains take longer to recover, something a good night's sleep provides better than any other activity. |

| body | Honestly hoping the beginnings of a martian colonization project happens in my lifetime. Not too unlikely, at the rate we're advancing now. Anyone want to place a bet on which decade we'll start putting permanent structures on Mars? My money's on the 2050's. Humanity has a strange fascination with even numbers, and estimates on AI reaching a singularity hang around the 20 year mark. I can't imagine it would take us long to find a use for a colony by then, despite the cost. |

| title | These will be the cities of Mars that are already being built |
| body | The creation of human colonies on Mars is a fundamental objective for humanity, so it is necessary to build cities that allow them to survive in that hostile territory and precisely in that work in the United Arab Emirates. Authorities announced the construction of a prototype of a Martian city that mimics the conditions of the planet Mars, allowing scientists to develop technology to meet human needs in space. #### The spectacular Mars Science City In the next century, the first human colonies are expected to be established on Mars, but beforehand it is necessary to create the necessary resources for people to live there, with scientists from the United Arab Emirates who are working hard to develop the technologies that require such an important mission. The authorities of the Arab country announced the construction of their Mars Science City, a prototype of a Martian city composed of different domes in which not only seek to provide environmental conditions compatible with human life, but also with other important aspects such as cultivation food. The Mars Science City will be built on a land of 177 thousand square meters recreating part of the conditions of the planet Mars that will be submitted to those who inhabit this experimental city. Designed by the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, this city is part of the UAE project to bring humans to Mars in 2117, with an investment of $ 136 million dollars to build their different areas. Each Mars Science City dome will have a purpose; from laboratories to manage energy generation, drinking water and food crops to "houses" in which those who are in charge of the project will live for a year. To recreate the conditions of Mars, the domes will have a special insulation to imitate as best as possible the differences of temperature and gravity with respect to the Earth, although those in them will not be subjected to dangerous radiation. Not everything will be laboratories and structures that simulate life on Mars, as Mars Science City also contemplates the creation of a museum open to the public with information on space exploration and progress in the mission to bring humans to Mars, all through ultra elements technologies that promise to delight anyone. Thanks to this prototype of the Martian city in the United Arab Emirates, scientists will be able to develop the technological advances needed to create human colonies on Mars, all within a project that will show results in the next 100 years. |

| title | New technology converts seawater into hydrogen fuel |
| body | Fuel from hydrogen is often considered the fuel of the future, especially since its emissions, which are of water vapor, are much less problematic for the environment than fossil fuel emissions. But there is a problem with this fuel, especially related to the costs of production and the methods to create it. Faced with this problem, a new alternative has been proposed. ### Hydrogen fuel is created from sea water The new proposal comes from a researcher at the University of Central Florida named Yang Yang who claims to have developed a hybrid nanomaterial that uses solar energy to convert seawater into hydrogen fuel. Yang has been working for approximately 10 years on the development of this new mechanism, along with several other researchers who also take years of effort looking for an alternative to the expensive methods that are used today. The new way of using solar energy to make the division between hydrogen and oxygen is really new, especially because it works with seawater. For Yang, "a new window has been opened to divide the real water and not just purified laboratory water." In order to do this, Yang would need a more powerful photocatalyst than the ones commonly used because sea water is much more complex and imperfect than water used in laboratories. For that photocatalyst, the new hybrid nanomaterial arrived. The division between hydrogen and oxygen is responsible for the energy of this fuel. This novel nanomaterial is a kind of thin sheet of titanium dioxide that has nanocavity coated with molybdenum disulfide. This material is much more effective than others because it can convert wavelengths of light that other materials can not. In the event that this nanomaterial could be used on a large scale, it could generate a large amount of renewable energy by replacing fossil fuels, making these less harmful fuels a response to the dangers of climate change. Being able to finally reach the development of hydrogen fuel would be important for our planet, after so many years of searching. What do you think about the development of this new nanomaterial, capable of boosting the development of hydrogen fuel? |

| title | What are the fireballs that were seen in China? |
| body | Meteorites? Shooting Stars? Something supernatural? These were some of the questions that Shangri-La County residents in Yunnan Province, China, made Wednesday night as they watched in the sky three fireballs that lit up the sky in various parts of the province . Many of the settlers were celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and watching the largest full moon of October, when the natural spectacle was interrupted by another astrological phenomenon: something similar to a comet surfaced the sky at great speed and illuminated the zone of form unexpected. https://youtu.be/LNj7oZZQwG4 An eyewitness told the Daily Mail website that he watched as the 'fireballs' lit the sky for at least five seconds and then fell to the ground; also explained that two of them were small in size and one was much larger. NASA also recorded this peculiar astronomical phenomenon and reported that the lights were observed at 12:07 GTM at 28 degrees north latitude, 99 degrees east longitude and at an altitude of 37 kilometers. In addition, it moved at a speed of 14.6 kilometers per second and the explosion generated 0.54 kilotons of energy (something similar to detonating 540 tons of TNT). Zhang Xingxiang, a scientist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, told China Central Television Stations that everything seems to indicate that they were bolides, that is masses of cosmic matter whose large dimensions make it possible to appreciate it with the naked eye. Its appearance is similar to that of an inflated balloon, and because it crosses the atmosphere at great speed, it burns and produces a bright light that can even be more dazzling than the Moon. That same speed causes the bolt to burst before it hits the earth's surface, in addition to the remaining pieces can disintegrate before touching the ground. https://youtu.be/QdHvlfeYabI A bolide is smaller than a meteor and a shooting star, its brightness for a longer time (from a few seconds to several minutes), and it moves at an altitude much lower than the two previous bodies. |

"body": "\n\nMeteorites? Shooting Stars? Something supernatural? These were some of the questions that Shangri-La County residents in Yunnan Province, China, made Wednesday night as they watched in the sky three fireballs that lit up the sky in various parts of the province .\n\nMany of the settlers were celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and watching the largest full moon of October, when the natural spectacle was interrupted by another astrological phenomenon: something similar to a comet surfaced the sky at great speed and illuminated the zone of form unexpected.\n\nhttps://youtu.be/LNj7oZZQwG4\n\nAn eyewitness told the Daily Mail website that he watched as the 'fireballs' lit the sky for at least five seconds and then fell to the ground; also explained that two of them were small in size and one was much larger.\n\nNASA also recorded this peculiar astronomical phenomenon and reported that the lights were observed at 12:07 GTM at 28 degrees north latitude, 99 degrees east longitude and at an altitude of 37 kilometers. In addition, it moved at a speed of 14.6 kilometers per second and the explosion generated 0.54 kilotons of energy (something similar to detonating 540 tons of TNT).\n\nZhang Xingxiang, a scientist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, told China Central Television Stations that everything seems to indicate that they were bolides, that is masses of cosmic matter whose large dimensions make it possible to appreciate it with the naked eye.\n\nIts appearance is similar to that of an inflated balloon, and because it crosses the atmosphere at great speed, it burns and produces a bright light that can even be more dazzling than the Moon. That same speed causes the bolt to burst before it hits the earth's surface, in addition to the remaining pieces can disintegrate before touching the ground.\n\nhttps://youtu.be/QdHvlfeYabI\n\nA bolide is smaller than a meteor and a shooting star, its brightness for a longer time (from a few seconds to several minutes), and it moves at an altitude much lower than the two previous bodies.\n\n",

| title | These earth pillars look like they come from another planet. |
| body | Kilian Schönberger is a photographer and geographer who manages to take fascinating photographs of really incredible places. Schönberger climbed the Alps late at night, capturing one of the strangest landscapes in the mountain range. These are columns or pillars of earth that look like a science fiction movie or another planet. From his first visit in the 90s to South Tyrol with his family, the photographer has felt a special attraction for the pillars of the Earth, so he decided to share his vision on these landscapes through his photography. ### A surprising natural phenomenon https://www.instagram.com/p/BZtNtl2Hiwj/ These pillars of Earth are located in a place called South Tyrol, an autonomous province, in northern Italy. The photographer made the Otherworld series in which he shows the pillars, also called earth pyramids, with the dawn light and its strange shapes that look like underground caves. The curious size and shape of these pyramids are created by erosion and rise from the clay soil. Each of them has a rock on top that protects the soil. The stones are up to 2 meters in diameter and the ground is made up of glacial remains. Because of erosion stones are washed out of the ground, but rainfall does not affect these pyramids that begin to grow. While the pillars have also been photographed by day, Schönberger has managed to make a difference by photographing them in mist and low light, adding a mysterious air to the landscape. These natural wonders are truly incredible and it seems hard to believe they are part of our planet. Would you like to visit them? |

| title | Russia and United States will build the first lunar space station together |
| body | Russia and the United States have reached a cooperation agreement to create the first special lunar station, which will be the precursor to a NASA project to send humans to Mars. The idea of NASA is to create a kind of gateway near the Moon from where to send the rockets to Mars and even perhaps to other planets in deep space. The new cooperation between these two countries will be aimed at creating international standards to build the first lunar space station. ### The United States and Russia will build the first lunar space station The Russian space agency Roscosmos announced the signing of an astronautical cooperation agreement with NASA with the intention of "developing international technical standards" for later "to be able to create a space station in the orbit of the Moon". For its part, NASA has been really ambitious when it comes to thinking about space projects, especially with the intention of sending humans to Mars and even thinking about possible colonization plans. The idea of the agencies is that Russians and Americans can cooperate in the organization of missions both in the lunar orbit and on the surface of the Moon. The intention is that the main works start in the middle of the year 2020. The space station on the Moon would be useful to carry out a lot of research on the part of both countries. But it is necessary to make it clear that this is not the first time that the two countries work as a team, as both participated in the International Space Station, along with countries like Japan, Canada, Belgium, Italy, France, Spain and several others. However, on the International Space Station, cooperation was reduced to simply discussing details at the last moment, when the United States had to use adapters to match Russian standards. The idea is now to develop team designs so that everything works perfectly. Also, unlike the previous project, there is the difference that this agreement does not include third parties but is a direct agreement between these two countries. It seems to be demonstrated that when there is interest on both sides, a team can be set up to escape the historical political tensions of the countries. Agencies have pointed out that cooperation among them is possible because they share the same vision about the human exploration of space. What they have not given so far are details about that vision of human exploration. Will they try to colonize Mars between the two? The good part of the matter is that NASA's plans - often termed mysterious or obscure important details - will be to some extent associated with another country, officiating Russia perhaps as a sort of comptroller. What do you think about this team project between Russia and the United States? Do you think the team will end well? #### JOIN BitConnect! https://bitconnect.co/?ref=killerduffs You can invest BitConnect coin in Bitconnect lending platform exclusively from the BitConnect Dashboard. | title | Generating electricity through tears, saliva or human mucus is now possible |
| body | For many people, tears can be a sign of sadness or frustration, although there are also those who cry of happiness or emotion. For science, tears, such as saliva or mucus, are a possibility at the time of experimentation. In this case, researchers from the University of Limerick in Ireland found a way to generate an electric charge from pressure on an enzyme called lysozyme, which can also be found in milk or egg whites. ### Body fluids transformed into electricity by science The way in which this protein was converted into electricity was by pressure, being possible because these materials have a property called direct piezoelectricity, which is when they are able to convert to mechanical energy into electrical energy. Piezoelectricity can be found in tendons, bones, wood, and even thought to use it in cell phones to charge your batteries by rubbing with clothes when they are in our pockets. However, although "piezoelectricity is used around us, the ability to generate electricity from this particular protein had not been explored," said one of the researchers, named Aimee Stapleton. The team report notes that the effectiveness of these lysozyme crystals is comparable to the efficacy of quartz, a material known for a long time because of its piezoelectric activity. For specialists, knowing a biological material that is capable of emulating the properties of quartz, opens the door to develop mechanisms that are able to collect energy for the operation of many implants in the body of patients. The discovery of this new way of generating energy can give medical science many advances for the future. Lysozyme could even be used as a coating for implants because it is compatible with the body. It can also be used as an alternative to today's piezoelectric harvesters, which are much more dangerous for humans. It may even have some medical applications functioning as a kind of mechanism that pumps drugs into the body through the energy of the environment, controlling the amount or how often those drugs are released. There is no doubt that science all the time surprises us, in this case transforming a protein of our body fluids into electricity. The next time you tear, remember that by isolating one of your proteins, bringing it to its crystal form and making enough pressure, you could generate an electric charge. What do you think about this new breakthrough? Do you think this discovery will have important applications in the future? #### JOIN BitConnect! https://bitconnect.co/?ref=killerduffs You can invest BitConnect coin in Bitconnect lending platform exclusively from the BitConnect Dashboard.
