They are amazing creatures and all the different varieties always keeps things interesting. \n\nIn South Africa we have SAKKS which is the South African Koi Keepers Society. They have a yearly show in Johannesburg where serious Koi folk can bring there star fish to be judged. Obviously there is also stands where you can buy Koi, Koi food or Pond Equipment. \n\nI try not to miss this event even when the weather is not great. \n\nHere's some picks taken at the show. It is very a very sought after Koi and the specimen in this photo is a perfect example. You want the red dot to be as centered as possible and as perfectly round as possible. The closer to perfection, the more valuable the Koi becomes.
