La compañía abrió su primera tienda física hace apenas 6 meses en el centro comercial La Vaguada de Madrid. Desde entonces, ha abierto tres tiendas más en España: dos en la capital y una en Barcelona.\n\nSegún un estudio elaborado por la consultora Ideas Originales de Comunicación, Xiaomi cuenta con un cuota de mercado del 10% y supera por un porcentaje holgado a otras empresas de referencia en el sector a nivel mundial como LG, que cuenta con un 7,3% de cuota de mercado y Apple, cuyos terminales cuentan con un 8,3% de cuota de mercado.\n\nPor delante de Xiaomi se encuentran la española BQ, con una cuota de mercado de 10,7% , la también china Huawei, con un 19,3% de mercado. Finalmente, la marca más vendida es Samsung, con 19,5% del mercado.\n\nEl éxito de Xiaomi en España puede explicarse por varios factores. El primero de ellos, una relación calidad-precio mucho más atractiva que la de sus competidores. La empresa china ha tirado los precios en todas las gamas. Si se realiza una comparación por precio, los terminales de Xiomi suelen ofrecer más prestaciones por un mismo coste y, además, sucede lo contrario con las prestaciones. Aunque la coreana sigue siendo líder indiscutible en el mercado libre de terminales, ha perdido una importante cuota de mercado durante el último año. En su momento, también Instagram y Faceboook siguieron los pasos de Snapchat con el formato de las ya famosas stories. Ahora es Twitter la plataforma que podría presentar una herramienta muy similar en el apartado de momentos, sobre todo para mantener su liderazgo en su contenido de última hora en redes sociales.\n\nSegún fuentes cercanas a la empresa y, por supuesto, anónimas Twitter podría estar desarrollando actualmente su propio formato de historia, que permitirá a los usuarios mirar vídeos y fotografías de determinados acontecimientos desde la pestaña de momentos. El contenido en formato visual (tanto en fotografías como en vídeos) y a tiempo real se organizaría según la localización.\n\nA pesar de permitir imágenes y vídeos, Twitter lidera el campo de las noticias escritas y la publicación de links, mientras que Snapchat sigue siendo líder en contenido audiovisual relacionado con noticias. Cierto es que Twitter no ha hecho ningún tipo de comentario sobre esta información ni existe comunicado oficial alguno que de por hecho esta novedad.\n\nSin una confirmación oficial, la característica potencial aún no está fuera del territorio de los rumores.
