Mount Abu is a small hill station situated in Rajasthan, India. I was in [Mumbai](https://steemit.com/travel/@gaurav-verma/explore-india-mumbai-a-city-full-of-dreamers-starlets-artists-and-millionaires) that time and had a tough week at work when we decided to plan a weekend trip to Mount Abu. That was the best decision we had that month. It was a soothing and relaxing experience far away from a busy and hectic work life of Mumbai.\n\nIt was me and a close friend of mine who were really excited about our 2 days trip to that beautiful hill spot. So, we booked two bus tickets from Mumbai to Abu road. That was a 13 hours bus journey, but the highways were good so we had a smooth ride without being punished by the Indian roadways services.\n\nWe started our journey by dodging the heavy peak time traffic of Mumbai to reach the bus stop on the time that was 8 PM. I was late by the way, but still we managed to catch the bus. We were on the Abu Road by the very next morning. We decided to visit the first place before even booking the hotel room. That was really a relaxing decision as we were visiting an ashram known as the Brahmakumari Ashram in Abu Road. [Image source](http://www.abutimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/om-shnati-pandav-bhavan-mount-abu.jpg)\n\nWe spent about 2 hours in Brahmakumari Ashram then decided to take a ride to the Mount Abu. We booked an auto (Indian three-wheeler version of cab) to reach there, it was nearly 1 hour ride from Abu Road to Mount Abu. We were absolutely exhausted, but as soon as we reached Mount Abu, it felt so refreshing that we forget about our hunger and tired schedule so far. \n\nFirst thing we did after reaching the Mount Abu was, booked a hotel room. There were some really nice hotel services at reasonable prices, which I didn’t expect considering the fact it is a tourist spot. We did not want to waste much time so we decided to fresh up as early as possible so we can start exploring the nearby places.\n\nWe were already so tired by the journey so we decided to take a tour of the town and not going to any tourist spot. We walked through the beautiful city, visited market area and communicated with the local vendors. I must say that Mount Abu is a beautiful place not just for its tourist attractions, but for its well mannered and helpful people as well. \n\nIt was getting really cold as the Sun was getting down. We enjoyed a great Rajasthani dinner on our hotel room after an amazing day at Mount Abu.\n\nI remember I was up most of the time that night. So, I decided to go out and had a conversation with the hotel staff (they were very supportive). That was a great feeling sitting on a cold night in front of a bonfire. When I was heading back to my room to get some sleep, one of the hotel staff asked me to come by the 5 in the morning to see some exciting stuff. \n\nI set an alarm for the next morning and had a peaceful sleep that night. Next morning I met that hotel staff on the lobby and they took me out to the garden and parking area. The view was really amazing. There were snow on the garden and vehicles. That was not actually snowfall, but the frozen pearls of the morning dew. That was one of the best morning I had that year as I belong to the region where you do not see that stuff every day (Come on! It is India and we have snow on a limited region of the country).\n\nI had a warm cup of tea on that frozen dew garden (I named the garden) and then went to gear up for an excited day ahead. We rented a car and decided to visit Dilwara temple first. \n\n# Dilwara Temple\n\nThat was a great experience. The appearance and ambience of the Dilwara temple will steal your heart for sure. It is situated about 2.5 kilometers from the town and a must go place if you are visiting the Mount Abu. You’ll see some serious work on the marble stones there. It was past noon and the Sun was on the top of us but, it was not feeling like a hot and sunny day there. We were completely mesmerized by the beauty of that place. The Sun was about to going down and the cold breeze of air already started. We were all by ourselves in a beautiful boat at the middle of lake. This was one of the best weekend I ever had in my entire life. \n\nIf you are planning to visit Mount Abu on your next vacation then here is some useful information before you plan your trip.\n\n# Best season to visit Mount Abu\n\nIn my opinion you should visit Mount Abu between the months of October and February. It’s winter time there and you will really enjoy the weather with your loved ones. Do not forget to pack your warm clothes for this trip as the temperature goes down to 8 degree Celsius during these months.\n\n# How to reach Mount Abu?\n\n1. **_Via Air_** - The nearest airport from the Mount Abu is Dabok airport in Udaipur city. Mount Abu is 185 kilometers from here. So, you could rent a car or use public transportation services to reach there.\n2. **_Via road_** - This is how I reached there. If you wanna go there by road or bus services then book a ticket to Abu road. It is well connected from the major cities like Mumbai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Udaipur, Ajmer, Delhi etc. So, check the bus availability and if you find one then that would be a cheap yet comfortable way to reach this beautiful hill spot.\n3. **_Via rail_** - Abu Road is the nearest railway station from the Mount Abu. It is well connected from all the major cities. So, you may get in there by train services as well (If you are lucky enough to get a train ticket according to your desired schedule).\n\nYou’ll not regret after visiting this beautiful spot. But, we’ll talk particularly about the tagging part in this section. \n\n**_Before learning the use of tags in any YouTube video. Let’s learn something about them._**\n\nThere are basically 2 major types of YouTube keywords.\n\n**_Generic tags_**\n\n1. Most primary and objective level of keywords.\n1a. Example - Video of a cat would be tagged as ‘cat’ or ‘animal’.\n2. General YouTube defined categories.\n2a. Nature of the video.\n3a. Typically expressed by the use of abstract nouns or adjectives.\n3b. Example - Video of smiling people tagged as ‘happiness’.\n4. Opinion of the content.\n4a. Quality, characteristic and opinion expression.\n4b. Example - ‘Funny’ or ‘rubbish’.\n\nAfter understanding the basic YouTube tags, now we can move to using them with our YouTube videos.\n\nFor the ease of access I am describing the **_standard process with steps_**. The best practice is brainstorm and note down all the keywords you have in your mind before getting started.\n\n**_Step 2._**\n\n**Think broader.**\n\nIn this step we will note down the tags which targets the broader audience.\n\n1. Broader keywords are general keywords that are related to the video.\n2. It’s basically those keywords which are not specific and target general audience.\n3. Try to find at least 3 broad keywords for the starting.\n4. Examples - Suppose your video is about ‘Do’s and don'ts in pregnancy’. You may use keywords like ‘Pregnancy’, ‘Doctor advice’, ‘Pregnant’ etc.\n\n**_Step 3._**\n\n**Be specific.**\n\n1. After taking broader keywords for your video. Now, it’s time to be more specific.\n2. Specific keywords target comparatively narrow audience with high click chances.\n3. Try to find at least 3 specific keywords for the starting.\n4. Examples - Suppose your video is about rooting an android device.\n4a. You may use specific keywords like ‘How to root android’, ‘rooting process android’, ‘android rooting process’, ‘best rooting process’, ‘android rooting process’ etc.\n\n**_Step 4._**\n\n**Data & Competitor analysis.**\n\nEvery section of the market is running on the basis of data analysis. It is very important for you as well to keep an eye on your competitors and analyze your progress in terms of data. \n\nIt would be a little difficult for any new YouTuber but after a couple of weeks you’ll learn to read what your channel’s data says to you. React according to your audience and analyze them with your data.\n\n1. Spy on competitor’s tags.\n2. Use few third party tools to spy on top and trending videos.\n3. Do not get confused.\n3a. It is very important to not compare yourself with other YouTube channels which are using some different tactics to grow their YouTube channels. Keyword tools are exactly built for finding more and better keywords.\n2. It helps to find the most searched keyword combinations on YouTube based on a keyword you enter.\n3. Start learning Google keyword planner. \n4. You may use keywordtool.io as well.\n5. Start using ‘Answer the public’ to understand the public demand.\n5a. It is very important to learn what actually people want. ‘Answer the public’ will help you to understand what people are searching around any particular keyword.\n5b. Plural and singular variations.\n2a. If you are using ‘dog’ as a keyword then it would be useful if you use the plural form of the tag as well i.e. ‘dogs’.\n3. Try misspellings.\n3a. This may sound ridiculous to you. But, it actually works sometime. There are some particular words which most of the people misspell while searching the web. \n3b. Use the misspelling of those words to get benefit.\n3c. Do not use too much misspell words with your YouTube tags.\n4. Include your brand specific tags.\n4a. Example - 'brand name', 'brandname', 'brandname.com'.\n5. Use YouTube autosuggest.\n5a. See what YouTube suggests while typing in the search.\n5b. Identify few videos that tend to pop up now and then for important search queries.\n5c. Do a random keyword-based search and analyze the output for the above two points.\n\nStart using these tactics while choosing YouTube tags for your videos. But, after being there for more than six months, now I miss being the part of that crowd. That’s the charm of the Mumbai. \n\nMumbai (previously known as the Bombay) is the cosmopolitan metropolis, the largest city in India and the capital of Indian state, Maharashtra. It is situated in the Konkan coastline (west coastline) of India. Mumbai was originally formed as the conglomeration of the seven islands. That’s why it is known as the city of seven islands. \n\nThe thing which I found the most interesting about this city is, there are something for everyone here. I can spend several hours in night by sitting near the sea in Marine drive with a warm cup of tea. I remember having a long midnight conversation there with the person close to my heart.
