It cost around $119.00 USD\n\nIt wasn't great, but it allowed me to do my work at my computer. In fact, it was one of the only chairs I owned after moving.\n\nFast forward to one year later… The damn thing broke. Now I only weigh about 180lbs, I leaned back in my chair for a stretch, and the back snapped! What a POS. \n\nNevertheless, I trudged along with the broken chair. I decided, next time I'm going to spend some money on a good quality chair.  So my search began, I checked Amazon, Best Buy, IKEA, used furniture stores. I was willing to spend around $200.00 USD, but I couldn't find anything decent in that price range. Today's tough economy is unfortunate to many businesses, but to the benefit of the average joe, there are sweet deals to be gained in office supplies and furniture. I've been so busy, that I rarely have time to watch anything.\nLo and behold, I run across \"Dark Angel\" Now you might be thinking… What a crap tv show, so corny and campy. But for me it was always comfy, and who didn't like Jessica Alba. \n\nAs I fired up the pilot episode something struck a cord with me that I never really noticed before. It has an amazingly accurate prediction of the world we are living in or heading into… I'll explain in a moment. \n\nTo give you some background this TV Show came out in the Year 2000, arguably the height of the dotcom era , and before the burst. For the most part things were positive… Low unemployment, cool gadgets, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Friends, Malcolm in the Middle you get the idea.\n![Eyes-Only-dark-angel-2282820-500-375.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdhjUrmCNySy6S7GhjLVaJBEz1ff2MmU89Km8FLCa5HBD/Eyes-Only-dark-angel-2282820-500-375.jpg)\n\nDark Angel takes place in a post apocalyptic future in which Seattle and all of America is in an economic collapse triggered by a Nuclear EMP (Far from the current mood of the times). The battered society continues along, and the main character \"Max\" played by Jessica Alba rides her bike through the tattered city and narrates the story. The director James Cameron and screenwriters do a great job at setting up the atmosphere here.\n\nIn the TV show many people are broke, and living in shanty apartments. Free speech is under attack, and a vigilante speaks out to the people via his \"eyes only\"  pirate broadcast. Drones patrol the streets, underground markets thrive, jobs are scarce, and the police corrupt.\n\n![HoverDrone1a.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZ8FuyWeQLNvSMPG49xAenZ4faGP5Q4tBCk9xJ8SfvjvD/HoverDrone1a.jpg)\n\nIn contrast to our reality, I would say this. Although  living conditions are not horrible, many people are struggling to get by, and the homeless problem is growing in almost every major city. YouTube content creators are de-monitized for not toting the liberal SJW narratives, essentially stifling free speech. People are forced to use alternative platforms and VPN's in order to have an honest conversation. The media constantly bombards us with nuclear threats from North Korea, cyber attacks from Russia, and ISIS bombings. This allowed the government to effectively put these kids into debt slavery for the rest of their lives.\n\nThere is no good outcome here short of cancelling future government-guaranteed student loans.  There are plenty of people in their 40's now who owe more thanks to interest and penalties than they borrowed after paying on the debt for 15 years.\n\nAt what point do you just call force majeure, tell the banks they're only going to get $0.25 to $0.50 (at best) on the dollar of outstanding debts and write the debt off.\n\nThis is what should have happened with the robo-signed mortgages in 2007-8 but, no.",
