Before one can get into the micro economics of the cryptoworld I think it is important to understand the macro picture and put things into perspective. \n\nThe world stock markets are valued at about 100 Trillion US dollars, this is spread across approximately 60 exchanges. Approximate 17 of which are worth over 1 trillion each. Keep in mind that the stock exchanges have existed since the 1800s and people have become accustomed to them and are now perceived as trusted investment avenue.\n\nThe cryptomarket on the other hand is in its infancy. Bitcoin was established in 2008 and the crypto market didn't really took off until just few year back.  To really put things in perspective though, lets look at the capitalization value.\nAs of today the cryptomarket is $0.5 Trillion US dollars. This is approximately 0.5% in comparison to the global stock markets!!!!!!! \nGranted the crypto market is very immature since most exchanges have no mechanisms to prevent fraud, money laundering (AML). Some allow for anonymous trading and even the ones that have user identification (KYC) the whole process is very weak and doesn't even come close to the banks. Not to mention the recent hacks which has resulted in some of the biggest ever!\nAll of these issues really amount to distrust from the largest investors to get into the game. However, this will eventually happen and I can assure you that the crypto market will grow massively from it's current position. \n\nThese are my thoughts.
