So how do we come to terms with the fact that we can't marvel at the Colosseum without seeing swarms of people fumbling with their cameras to snap a selfie? GREAT WALL OF CHINA\n\"The pictures don't do this wonder of the world justice,\" Cohen says. \"It's fascinating how the wall has many twists and turns and how the steps are deliberately uneven, perhaps to slow down invaders.\" This man-made structure, which stretches over 13,000 miles from east to west, was completed during the Ming dynasty and draws over 10 million visitors a year. That fact alone might deter a seasoned traveller. But even with the long lines and extra effort of trying to snap a photograph without other people wandering in and out of the shot, it's worthy of a visit. And don't wait too long - 30 percent of it has disappeared due to erosion and human interaction. A portion of the wall was even underwater - a result of man-made flooding - and only recently reappeared due to a drought. The Treasury and the Monastery are very well preserved, especially considering the fact that they were built in 312 BC Safety concerns and physical obstacles have left many travellers wondering if the Rose City, as it's called, is worth a visit. Despite the long trek - expect an approximately 1,000-foot vertical climb to see the monastery - the attraction comes highly recommended. The mix of sulfur and silica is said to have powerful effects on a variety of ailments, and thus, influenced the establishment of the Blue Lagoon spa that we know today. Plus, the milky blue water has become an identifiable feature in photographs, increasing its lure and appeal. With the MBUX system you have to say, \"Hey, Mercedes,\" to get the car to listen to you. Nuance, the company behind MBUX and a whole host of other automaker voice-assistant systems wants to do better.\n\nStarting next year, BMWs outfitted with the latest version of Nuance's voice-assistant will be able to tell the difference between the driver talking to passengers and the driver talking to the car. In other words, no more wake word. According to Nuance, Just Talk mode will be able to distinguish between regular conversations and commands.\n\nAhead of the actual launch in a production car, the system is impressive. During a demo with Nuance Product Manager Robert Policano, he asked for a coffee shop. The demo vehicle served up a location. Just Talk understood his query without a wake word or having to press a button. Before this was all happening, he was talking to me about the system and the car essentially ignored that portion of the conversation. \"It's listening for expressions, grammar, phrases, words and even sentence structure that it can determine with a high probability that I'm directing it toward the car,\" Policano said.\n\nWhen you pair them with Nuance's spectacular natural language capabilities, it becomes clear why OEMs have teamed up with the company to deliver better infotainment experiences. While large digital displays have become the norm in many new cars, it's not always conducive to safe driving. Nuance and Just Talk are making that a reality. But as with all voice-assistants, there's the privacy concern.\n\nNuance says it doesn't want your data. It's not trying to sell you ads or track you in any way. Just Talk can pick out a moment when it's being addressed both in real time and locally. Once it determines what you want, if it requires access to the cloud (for navigation for example), it pings the servers with anonymized data to whichever service the automaker or driver have set for the vehicle. Everything else said in the car is continuously tossed aside as the system listens for a new query from the driver.\n\nOutside the vehicle, though, we still use Siri, Google, Alexa and a host of other voice-assistants. Fortunately, Nuance supports those systems right now and once linked (if the automaker allows it), drivers can query the car for something that's part of, let's say, Siri. Nuance's system will understand that the question is part of a linked service, ping that service and reply with an answer. You don't even have to say, \"Hey, Siri.\"\n\nVoice-assistants and cars are a natural fit. At their best, they could keep drivers from being distracted by shiny displays and confusing submenus. With Just Talk, Nuance is lowering the entry point to a safer driver interaction. Cleaning the fingerprints off your vehicle's touchscreen might soon be a chore of the past.",

The company told TechCrunch that it is working to make it more difficult for users to find content that might connect them with dealers.\n\nIt's unclear when these changes were put into place, but they follow other efforts to combat opioid sales facilitated by the platform. In June, Facebook began surfacing a message asking users searching for drugs or addiction treatment if they would like assistance in finding treatment. The message then redirects those interested to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration national helpline. That feature will reportedly also be available on Instagram in the coming weeks.\n\nFacebook also recently began shutting down certain hashtags -- such as #fentanyl and #oxycontin -- on Instagram and began requiring addiction treatment centers advertising on its platform to be certified by LegitScript. Google also began vetting treatment facilities via LegitScript earlier this year.\n\nIn April, FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb called out a number of tech companies, including Facebook, for not doing enough to address their role in the opioid crisis. He said that the agency had found offers for illegal drugs on Facebook and other sites. \"Internet firms simply aren't taking practical steps to find and remove these illegal opioid listings,\" he said at the time.\n\nWhile the search result limits do show that Facebook is making an effort to block drug sales on its platform, some users are already finding ways to get around them.
