      "body": "El futbol colombiano siempre ha estado marcado por la estética. Se trata de un futbol donde el buen trato a la pelota, el pase al ras del piso, el control del balón, es esencialmente característico. Es sin lugar dudas, una referencia de la manera de practicar y vivir  el Futbol en Suramérica. Durante estas jornadas mundialistas la Selección de Colombia, finalmente pudo mostrar su dinámica de juego en el último cotejo donde se impuso por goleada 3 x 0 frente a su similar de Polonia. En un partido, donde los Colombianos nos hicieron reencontrarnos con esa esencia característica de los buenos modales con la pelota, el toque corto y el acompañamiento permanente entre los jugadores, que tan grato es para la vista de los amantes de este deporte. Ver la imagen por televisión de ese “ballet” en la cancha a la par de aquella que nos mostraba a René Higuita y al “Pibe” Valderrama en las tribunas, hacía imposible no remontarse a esa Selección Colombiana de Futbol del final de la década de los 80 y de principios de la década de los 90, que nos regaló una de las páginas más hermosas -por la calidad de su juego- en la historia del Futbol Mundial. ![colombia_francia_ap.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYeYpbMK6r7HVxGtXir923rBpLtMPEoRnr84Y1oTtEqYF/colombia_francia_ap.jpg)\n\n\nAquella selección de Colombia, era atrevida, con una gran autoconfianza, que erigía como un principio universal combinación del toque corto y la técnica, con el desarrollo de unos “dogmas  de juego”  que los hacían ser innovadores y por consiguiente, pioneros en muchísimas cosas desde el punto de vista táctico, como lo era –por ejemplo- la de convertir al portero en un jugador de campo más; en un jugador que no se limitaba a su área ni a jugar con las manos, sino que además podía transformarse en un “ultimo hombre” de la defensa, por “saber” jugar también con los pies y hacerlo con un técnica impecable, teniendo aquella Selección Colombiana cuyo Técnico fue el Dr. Francisco “Pacho” Maturana, en el recordado “René Higuita” a ese “portero” diferente, autosuficiente y atrevido, que era capaz de “romper paradigmas” al atreverse a salir de su área jugando limpiamente con los pies, y hacerlo comúnmente de manera irrefutable. \n![dgezan8xcamcbeb-e1529874506291.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmfVC2s6Fw64GLJhFAqYqfakKEpgP8cdBEFdHLcBxsSoRB/dgezan8xcamcbeb-e1529874506291.jpg)\n\nMuchísimo le dejo al legado del Futbol, aquella Selección de Colombia que participo en los mundiales de Italia 90 y de USA 94, sobre todo el convencimiento de que un Futbol Autóctono, compatible con la idiosincrasia de un País, y con una Dirección Técnica preparada, convencida de su “original modelo de juego”, puede trascender hacia los peldaños más altos e inimaginados de este Deporte. \nLa Selección de Futbol de Colombia en este Mundial de Rusia 2018, en ese partido contra Polonia, nos regalo un sabor muy parecido a la de aquella “construida” por el genio de Maturana como Director Técnico, y que tenía como figuras ejecutoras de ese concepto futbolístico, a jugadores de la altísima talla de “Higuita, Rincón, Alvarez, Redín y Valderrama”, entre muchos otros.       "body": "Islandia es un interesante país isleño que se ubica en el extremo este del norte europeo. Forma parte de los llamados países escandinavos y cuenta con una población que sobrepasa los 300.000 habitantes. Se caracteriza por una serie de singularidades sociales, políticas, económicas y culturales derivadas esencialmente de su particular ubicación geográfica, y hoy por hoy es considerado como uno de los principales países  del mundo, que ofrece mejor calidad de vida a sus habitantes. En lo deportivo, el deporte más popular es  el Balonmano. Sin embargo, en tiempos recientes esa realidad ha comenzado a presentar visos de cambio.  \n\n![mapa europa.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmX8qvLm3K3XGLEffrA38JaUHdti1LGNKN8J6NkwxqZYnA/mapa%20europa.jpg)\n\nDesde la Eurocopa Francia 2016, la Selección Islandesa de Futbol comenzó a llamar la atención de los entendidos, primero al clasificar sorpresivamente a los octavos de final de esa competición, y segundo, al vencer en esa instancia, de modo imprevisible 2x 1 a la Selección de Inglaterra  (que como sabemos es la nación que inventó el Futbol), compuesta por jugadores que militan en su mayoría en la Premier League de Inglaterra, sin lugar a dudas, una de las Ligas más poderosas del mundo. Finalmente culminó su destacada presentación en esa competencia, al caer en cuartos de final ante Francia con un marcador 5 x 2, en un partido en el cual la Selección Islandesa dejo todo su pundonor en el campo.\n\nEs indudable que partir de ese momento,  Islandia ha sido noticia en el mundo futbolístico. \nEn las eliminatorias premundialistas culminó primera en su grupo (Grupo I UEFA), por encima de  selecciones con mayor rodaje futbolístico como lo son: Croacia, Ucrania y Turquía, para lograr la hazaña de obtener un cupo a la cita mundialista en Rusia.    \n\nDurante las primeras fechas de este Mundial Rusia 2018,  continuó dando sorpresas al debutar con un impactante empate de 1x1 contra una de las selecciones favoritas para ganar esa justa, como lo es la Selección de Argentina de Lionel Messi, y toda la constelación de estrellas del balompié internacional que lo acompaña. Sin lugar a dudas, es sorpresivo que un país sin la tradición futbolística de otros países, este logrando tan sonoros triunfos, pero la sorpresa se torna expansiva cuando se conocen algunas de las muchas curiosidades de esta Selección Islandesa. \n\nPor ejemplo, entre las muchas cosas curiosas de esta Selección de Islandia, resalta que se trata de un equipo semiprofesional. Esto es, de una Selección de Futbol donde solo un mínimo porcentaje de sus jugadores  se dedican laboralmente en forma exclusiva a practicar ese deporte. Dicho de otro modo, un equipo en el cual solo un discreto porcentaje de sus integrantes hacen del Futbol su profesión, es decir, “viven del Futbol”. \n\nEn efecto, la mayoría de los Futbolistas que conforman la Selección Islandesa de Futbol, son deportistas semiprofesionales, por cuando solo dedican parte de su tiempo laboral a este deporte, y la otra, la canalizan desarrollando otra actividad que le proporciona los recursos económicos para vivir. Por ejemplo, la dedicación principal de su Director Técnico Hemil Hallgrinson, es ejercer la Odontología, pues su profesión es la de Odontólogo. Otro ejemplo es su Portero, Hannes Halldorsson, quien es Director de Cine, profesión a la cual dedica la mayor parte de su tiempo. Otros son granjeros o agricultores. En fin, la gran mayoría de sus jugadores comparten su tiempo laboral entre el Futbol y otra actividad económica. Esa característica es diametralmente distinta a la de la mayoría de las Selecciones de Futbol que participan en el Mundial, las cuales están integradas en buena parte por jugadores cuya actividad principal es la de ser Futbolista, es decir, son Futbolistas  Profesionales. \n\nLas curiosidades no terminan allí. Otra curiosidad de esta Selección Islandesa, es que su actual perfomance es consecuencia de la transformación del Futbol Islandes, el cual parece tener una causa muy distinta a la que ha animado el desarrollo del Futbol en otros países. En efecto, en el caso del Futbol Islandes  no fue la profesionalización del Futbol el aliciente que sirvió de empuje determinante para el crecimiento del Futbol en esa Isla Escandinava, sino más bien, la visión colectiva de sus nacionales de concebir al Futbol como un deporte capaz de generar transformaciones sociales significativamente positivas por los valores que el mismo lleva implícito y la pasión que su práctica produce para el ser humano. \n\nEn un interesante artículo de David Hernandez que se titula “El Futbol como Política Social en Islandia” publicado en “EL ORDEN MUNDIAL” (https://elordenmundial.com),  se hace referencia a que durante la década de los años 90 la sociedad islandesa se topó con un delicado problema social. Los estudios pedagógicos y las investigaciones de la policía detectaron que en la población juvenil había un acelerado incremento en el consumo de alcohol, tabaco y cannabis, que consecuencialmente estaba siendo un factor determinante en los episodios de violencia que se presentaban en las calles. \n\nPara atender este fenómeno, nada alentador para su sociedad, los islandeses desarrollaron un programa planificado que comportó medidas de distinta naturaleza, que iban desde los aspectos regulatorios mediante Leyes que prohibían publicidad de tabaco y alcohol en espacios públicos, la prohibición de ventas de este tipo de sustancias a los jóvenes, y la creación con carácter obligatorio de organizaciones de padres y madres representantes en las distintas Escuelas para que orientaran a los jóvenes sobre este tema, hasta aquellas desarrolladas por los órganos en funciones de Gobierno, las cuales fueron desarrolladas mediante un plan que denominaron “Juventud en Islandia”, que contenía un aspecto diagnóstico del problema, y otro concentrado en la toma de medidas concretas para lograr controlarlo. Dentro de este último aspecto, se concibió como punto central el enseñar y crear las condiciones para que los adolescentes aprendieran como gestionar adecuadamente su tiempo libre y el ocio, así como canalizar los problemas derivados del estrés, la frustración o la soledad. \n\nEn tal contexto, la sociedad islandesa y sus órganos de gobierno, entendieron que la medula del problema se atacaba creando espacios y entornos donde los menores combinarán diversión, entretenimiento y socialización, de la mano con valores como el respeto, la disciplina, el trabajo en equipo y el esfuerzo, encontrándose con el grato descubrir en el Futbol, de todas esas bondades. Dicho de otra manera, la misma “praxis” de un programa social, dirigido a crear las mejores condiciones para que los adolescentes y jóvenes aprendieran a gestionar su tiempo libre y su ocio, sirvió para que se pusiera de relieve la importancia del Futbol como “herramienta social” para una vida sana. Y ese es  quizá, el hecho principal que ha marcado toda la transformación del Futbol Islandes, y las gratas conquistas de su sentida Selección Nacional. \n\nEste esfuerzo social, ha rendido sus frutos al verse disminuido notablemente el índice del consumo de alcohol, tabaco y cannabis que presentaba la sociedad islandesa, y se ve cristalizado en las fulgurantes actuaciones que está teniendo su Selección Nacional de Futbol en la competencia más importante a nivel planetario. De allí, que los triunfos y logros de esta Selección Islandesa, trasciende lo deportivo. Constituye una victoria social de la población islandesa que pudieron vencer un mal que los aquejaba y que estaba afectando muchos de sus hogares. Su futuro es impredecible. No pareciera que tiene el oficio futbolístico para llegar muy lejos, pero los escandinavos por su cosmovisión del mundo, suelen darnos grandes sorpresas.
