      "body": "If something sounds too good to be true, then surely it is!\n\nI ordered some miners from their website: https://expositos.net/ on January and they promised to ship before 15th Feb. But when there was still no updates on 16th, I email and submit tickets to chase them, no replies. I then kept sending emails and tickets, still no replies.\n\nThen all of a sudden , on 26th of Feb I receive an email from them which a tracking number of FedEx International Priority, my miners will be arrived by 1st March! But this is just another level of scam, there were no updates for that package at all for the following 10 days, they just create a label with FedEx and never post!\n\nThey are very professional scammers! I emailed and asked them a lot of questions before submitting my order, and they all answered in a very decent/pro way. Don't even think about this!!!\n\nA few weeks ago, a post about mining Ethereum with Google cloud computing  caught my eyes. \nhttps://steemit.com/ethereum/@grunzwanzling/ethereum-mining-with-google-cloud-nvidia-tesla-k80-actually-works-and-is-highly-profitable \n\nThe post stated that the hash rate can be 1721 Mh/s with Google Compute Engine (of 8 Nvidia Tesla K80 GPUs), costs about 4$ per hour, 2900$ per month. Which means  the monthly revenue could be $5000 even based on today's figures! (a monthly profit of $2100 ! )\n\nSounds too good to be true...\n\nThe only way to prove this is to test it, so I configured the same instance in Google Compute Engine( 8 CPUs, 30G memory, 50 G hard drive and 8x Tesla K80, cost $2300 per month ) and here is the result: \n\nHashrate: 350 Mh/s \nDaily mined: 0.038 ETH \nMonthly: 1.14 ETH, $1238 ($1086 per ETH on 1st Feb, 2018)\n\nTo be profitable, the ETH price must be $2020 minimum, by then, the mining difficulty must be a lot different. Maybe the ETH could worth $5000 one day, but the point is, the real hash rate is around 350 Mh/s, how could it be 1721 Mh/s !\n\nSo can we make profit by mining other crypto coins?\n\nJust out of interest, I did some other experiments with a few more coins from different algorithms, check this out: \n\n* \nHash Algorithm: Equihash\nCoin: Bitcoin Gold (BTG)\nHashrate: 870 h/s\nDaily mined: 0.04 BTG\n\n*\nHash Algorithm: Cryptonote\nCoin: Monero (XMR)\nHashrate: 1300 h/s\nDaily mined: 0.0068 XMR\n\n*\nHash Algorithm: Blake2s\nCoin: XSH \nHashrate: 11.7 Gh/s (billion)\nDaily mined: 180 XSH\n\n*\nHash Algorithm: Blake2b\nCoin: Sia coin (SC) \nHashrate: 4400 Mh/s\nDaily mined: 67.5 SC\n\n*\nHash Algorithm: Cryptonight\nCoin: ITNS\nHashrate: 2080 h/s\nDaily mined: 175 ITNS\n\n*\nHash Algorithm: Skein\nCoin: DGB\nHashrate: 936 Mh/s\nDaily mined: 93 DGB\n\n\nI was planning to do more experiments, but just don't think it is worth doing it anymore.
