Today I'd like to share with you a short story I wrote a couple of months ago along with a little art piece I made recently for it, I hope you like it!</center>\n<br><br>\n\n# <center>About the story</center>\n<br>\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\nI'd like to tell you about why I wrote this little story first so I should start by who this story is dedicated to, that's no other person than my girlfriend.\nI met her when we both were on a really dark page of our own stories, like in most stories, life has them too and it's not strange, after all, every form of art imitates life, don't you agree? But be how it may, we met each other and ended up becoming best friends, helped each other through those tough times and like a matter of fate eventually we ended up together as a couple.\n<br>\n\nOccasionally I write stories for her of different kinds, this one in particular is a set of rhymes. It came to me thinking about two beings made of incomplete jigsaw pieces trying to form themselves as a mean to represent how we feel we complete each other. </div>\n<br><br>\n\n# <center>The story: Puzzled</center>\n\n<br>\n<center><pre>Softly, so softly;\nThe pieces crawled through;\nWandering, searchingly;\nFor form to come true.\n\nA mouth, a gaze;\nFrom shatters, they took form;\nAs if fallen from grace;\nTrying to mend what was torn.\n\nDrifting, shapeless;\nIncomplete pieces of a jigsaw;\nFragments meaningless;\nUtopian what its being found.\n\nUneasy, unfitting;\nWhat was it doing wrong;\nA surge of will uplifting;\nPure instinct, the means to become strong.\n\nStructured yet shattered;\nSelf neglect and missing pieces;\nStill drifting and scattered;\nBut yet to find more surprises.\n\nPieces and more pieces;\nCould they be mine;\nReaching for senses;\nA reaction unforseen.\n\nFlying, swimming;\nA kiss, a caress, tenderness to heart;\nFloating and danzing;\nFluttering like butterflies as a pure form of art.\n\nRebuilding, accepting;\nHalcyon embrace of love;\nSo sweet and so caring;\nEthereal but real and soaring like a dove.\n\nMerging, so sweet;\nUndone and remade;\nPieces from one another fit;\nThe jigsaws became the same.</center>\n<br><br>\n\n# <center>The pixels</center>\n<br>\n<div class=\"pull-right\"><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/yHT7d97.jpg\"/></div>\n\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">I made this little jigsaw piece just yesterday, I wasn't all that sure about how to make it. The original idea was to make a multicolored gradient and shape the piece with the real background color so the piece would be colored but I ended up doing something completely different, just going the traditional way and drawing a diamond shape, then add the details, the squares to make it a jigsaw piece. I should mention I did this small piece on my phone with an app called pixly, which is my weapon of choice at the moment, I'm currently bound to make art in my phone due to life circumstances and it can be really tedious so I've been working on small art pieces like this, but back to the art, I colored it and added some sparkles but that wasn't enough for me.\n<br><br>\n\n<div class=\"pull-left\"><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/TH0H9nh.jpg\"/></div>\n\nI still wanted to make the gradient from the original idea but I thought I should keep it blue so I went with an aqua tone for the gradient, I really like the blue and green tones so I tend to use them often, they're easy for me to work with. The gradient was supposed to go top to bottom and the shading top right to bottom left but considering how I did the basic shading it didn't took me long to think \"what the hell am I doing\" and just did the shading again, bottom to top and in a gradient way so I'd have both things I wanted. When the gradient/shading was done I still wasn't happy with the result, the color change was way too soft so I sharpened it by changing the colors per section more drastically.\n<br>\nAfter being happy with the gradient I added a shine behind the piece and lastly did the details in the corner just for aesthetic matters and that's it!\n</div>\n\n<br>\n\n# <center>Thank you!</center>\n<center>I'd like to thank you for gifting me once more a piece of your valuable time to check this little story. Today I'd like to share with you a short story I wrote a couple of months ago along with a little art piece I made recently for it, I hope you like it!</center>\n<br><br>\n\n# <center>About the story</center>\n<br>\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\nI'd like to tell you about why I wrote this little story first so I should start by who this story is dedicated to, that's no other person than my girlfriend.\nI met her when we both were on a really dark page of our own stories, like in most stories, life has them too and it's not strange, after all, every form of art imitates life, don't you agree? But be how it may, we met each other and ended up becoming best friends, helped each other through those tough times and like a matter of fate eventually we ended up together as a couple.\n<br>\n\nOccasionally I write stories for her of different kinds, this one in particular is a set of rhymes. It came to me thinking about two beings made of incomplete jigsaw pieces trying to form themselves as a mean to represent how we feel we complete each other. </div>\n<br><br>\n\n# <center>The story: Puzzled</center>\n\n<br>\n<center><pre>Softly, so softly;\nThe pieces crawled through;\nWandering, searchingly;\nFor form to come true.\n\nA mouth, a gaze;\nFrom shatters, they took form;\nAs if fallen from grace;\nTrying to mend what was torn.\n\nDrifting, shapeless;\nIncomplete pieces of a jigsaw;\nFragments meaningless;\nUtopian what its being found.\n\nUneasy, unfitting;\nWhat was it doing wrong;\nA surge of will uplifting;\nPure instinct, the means to become strong.\n\nStructured yet shattered;\nSelf neglect and missing pieces;\nStill drifting and scattered;\nBut yet to find more surprises.\n\nPieces and more pieces;\nCould they be mine;\nReaching for senses;\nA reaction unforseen.\n\nFlying, swimming;\nA kiss, a caress, tenderness to heart;\nFloating and danzing;\nFluttering like butterflies as a pure form of art.\n\nRebuilding, accepting;\nHalcyon embrace of love;\nSo sweet and so caring;\nEthereal but real and soaring like a dove.\n\nMerging, so sweet;\nUndone and remade;\nPieces from one another fit;\nThe jigsaws became the same.</center>\n<br><br>\n\n# <center>The pixels</center>\n<br>\n<div class=\"pull-right\"><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/yHT7d97.jpg\"/></div>\n\n\n<div class=\"text-justify\">I made this little jigsaw piece just yesterday, I wasn't all that sure about how to make it. The original idea was to make a multicolored gradient and shape the piece with the real background color so the piece would be colored but I ended up doing something completely different, just going the traditional way and drawing a diamond shape, then add the details, the squares to make it a jigsaw piece. I should mention I did this small piece on my phone with an app called pixly, which is my weapon of choice at the moment, I'm currently bound to make art in my phone due to life circumstances and it can be really tedious so I've been working on small art pieces like this, but back to the art, I colored it and added some sparkles but that wasn't enough for me.\n<br><br>\n\n<div class=\"pull-left\"><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/TH0H9nh.jpg\"/></div>\n\nI still wanted to make the gradient from the original idea but I thought I should keep it blue so I went with an aqua tone for the gradient, I really like the blue and green tones so I tend to use them often, they're easy for me to work with. The gradient was supposed to go top to bottom and the shading top right to bottom left but considering how I did the basic shading it didn't took me long to think \"what the hell am I doing\" and just did the shading again, bottom to top and in a gradient way so I'd have both things I wanted. I'm about to tell you a little story about myself and I hope you enjoy it!\n<p><i>After all, everyone has a story.</i></p></center>\n<br>\n\n## <center>Who am I?</center>\n<div class=\"text-justify\">Man, I don't know... Maybe give me a little time to go consult it with my psychologist?\nJokes aside, I'm just a musician and pixel artist who has an obsession with videogames among other things but I'll get to that later.\n<br><br>\nI'm 25 years young, yeah, young and don't dare tell me otherwise... Okay I need to stop the lame jokes, but really, I'm from Venezuela, the country on the north end of south america in case you're curious, meaning my main language is Spanish which leads me to mention my English is entirely self taught. I'm easygoing and maybe even goofy to an extent then again you probably figured that out by now, but don't let that mislead you though. That aside what I do for a living unfortunately isn't directly involved with my passions, but it's fairly close, I repair mobiles for a living, only the software part, it can be a tedious work but it can be funny too like this one time someone thought they had their OS (operative system) broken in their tablet but all the tablet needed was to get the battery charged (I'm not kidding!).\n<br><br>\n\n## <center>What are my obsessions/hobbies?</center>\n\nWell my biggest obsession is my girlfriend obviously... But seriously, I'm interested in many things such as <b>books</b>, <b>TV shows</b>, <b>movies</b>, <b>nature</b> and such, but the core lies in <b>videogames</b>, <b>music</b>, <b>writings</b>.\n\n<div class=\"pull-right\"><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/tGMoSpd.jpg\"></div>\n\nOne of my goals in life is to become a game developer, it's been a dream ever since I held the controller of my first console for the first time (it was a NES). People says videogames can't compare to books and they're right, just not entirely, some haven't played truly meaningful games.\nThe beauty of them lies in the materialization and freedom of creation of an idea and immersing the player in them among other things, I believe, it involves a lot of work, it needs programming, it needs art, it needs music, it needs a story though of course some can be so simple they may lack one or more of those characteristics but some others tell you a story, put you in the flesh of a character and you live through their story, it's something that truly fascinates me and led me eventually to some other hobbies as writing and pixel art, since the stories of some games and the art were so mesmerizing and are nostalgic (when it comes to pixels for the most part) to me.\n<br>\n<div class=\"pull-left\"><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/s0KqAU3.jpg\"></div>\nAs I got deeper into pixel art I grew fond of it, art is a way to reflect the perception of the world from the artist eyes and yet the beauty of it lies in the eyes of the beholder. The shading, gradients, the line work, everything has its own level of difficulty and its own trick as well as the design and the many ways you can represent something. At first I wasn't very confident that I could do it but my girlfriend supported me and pushed me into it which I'm really grateful for and here I am.\n\n\nThen there's the other main branch of likings, taken from what I already mentioned, music.\nMusic is something precious and important to mankind and yet, if you are to ask someone why, no one can give you a solid answer. Music has been here for as long as we have, it has evolved with us and even stars before us make music in their own celestial way.\n\n<div class=\"pull-right\"><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/nQQdgmy.jpg\"></div>\n\nI started my musical journey when I was 14, bought my second instrument, a keyboard, my first was a cuatro, bought to me by my mom when I was 8, it's a string instrument of four strings much like the ukulele and its traditional of my country, it was for my music class and I ironically hated both the cuatro and the class. But later on when I picked the keyboard I started to teach myself it and I grew fond of it, played it for bands locally when I was 18 too but it didn't end up being the only instrument I liked. When I was 15 my uncle bought me an acoustic guitar and by the time I was 17 I decided to buy an electric one as well and I loved it to the point its my main \"weapon\" nowadays and I've taken a liking in guitars themselves to the point I'd like to try to be a luthier sometime.\n\n<center><img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/MDnkEQm.jpg\"></center>\n<br><br>\n\n## <center>Why am I here?</center>\n\nI found steemit thanks to a dear friend I consider a brother, shout out to [@gabrielsotillo]( https://steemit.com/@gabrielsotillo) for showing me this place and I'm legitimately impressed by the good vibes of it. I find it as a very interesting place to vent and blog things in many ways. I've never blogged before really but it's something I'm eager to try and if there's a good place to do so I believe that's here, especially because of how welcome it is to bring original content.</div>\n\n<br><br>\n\n## <center>What kind of posts can you expect from me?</center>\n\nMainly I'd love to share my art and my progress through it with all of you, I'd like you to walk with me through the process and through the way of improving as an artist but that isn't everything though, other things I'd like to share with you include:\n* My musical works.\n* Videogames reviews.\n* Guitar techniques.\n* Guitar reviews.\n* Bands or music albums reviews.\n* Short stories.\n\nAnd occasionally other things most likely around the same lines and that said, I want to thank you for gifting me a piece of your valuable time to read through my introduction, my story.
