In doing so, we explored all the possible solutions in the market in terms of financial services, Blockchain technologies, banking wallet and security solutions for all transactions and make it easy for our clients and partners.\n\nFollowing detailed studies and being responsible for our clients’ financial matters, as well as the growth of the company and clients’ needs, we created our own blockchain, coin, token and digital wallet that will incorporate multiple bank accounts (both Fiat and Crypto), thinking of our modern necessities. When it comes to our finances, we all want to have security, fast transactions and pay lower or no fees than we currently do use traditional banking and even modern wallets, exchanges and payment solutions. What happens to a DApp that cannot perform due to the limitations of the blockchain they are using?\n\nThe Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains are already struggling to meet the traffic, transaction speeds, block sizes and cost of the transaction. Hence, once again we evaluated most of the popular relevant blockchains versus our requirements. The key needs we had were scalability, cost of the transaction, the speed of transaction, security, stable pricing, efficiency, rewards systems, data structure, and consensus algorithm etc.\n\nSo our objective was to address how several of these existing solutions and applications would be suitable for the Flashmoni Ecosystem. In short, it didn’t cut it for us and our target key needs, as highlighted above. Building a custom blockchain, or forking a current one, could potentially be a solution to our problem.\n\nHowever, nobody knows our business better than we do, so if we build a blockchain that can specifically fit our needs, it can help us be more effective and efficient in managing our business. We started this journey and decided to build our own blockchain due to the following reasons:\n\n· Choice of the consensus algorithm\n\n· Choice of programming language\n\n· Control of codebase\n\n· Ability to update how and whenever you want\n\n· Ultimate true flexibility and speed at much-reduced costs and fees.\n\nWe are launching our own coin, as well as our own currency and investment platform. Why? Because the previous ERC20 was token and there is a huge difference between Coin and Token! Coin operates independently, while token has a specific use in the project’s ecosystem, so both have their own role and utility.       "body": "![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNUqoinHmtiQVka5nKfdwtDRF9QSNJsKRVjGKyyjzgdtD/image.png)\n\n\n\nIf Ethereum has been the most used platform for the ICOs so far, it has been mainly used to raise money and not to launch final products (no use of the token by the masses).\n\nMany companies looking for investors with an ICO are immobilized in the Ethereum platform as they are waiting:\n\n1/ to finalize the project described in their white paper,\n\n2/ (but mainly) for Ethereum to reach scalability with thousands of tx/sec.\n\nEthereum has some limitations:\n\n- It accepts around 15 tx/second, which means that if 2% of the ICOs went into prod, the network would be saturated,\n\n- Founders talk about reaching scalability from 2 to 4 years for Ethereum\n\n- Some fees are high and fluctuate (0,3 dollar today against over 2 dollars in January)\n\nMost ICOs contemplate a massive use of the token and cannot pay/charge even only 0,1 dollar per smart contract operation.\n\nPioneering EOS has numerous advantages:\n\n- This platform has almost no fees,\n\n- it is scalable by construction and it can absorb thousands of tx/sec (thanks to the delegated consensus algorithm),\n\n- it is the evolution of two blockchains that are already used in prod, Steem and Bitshares (they both share their architectures). We know that this architecture is working in prod and it is scalable. Steem accepts thousands of tx/sec\n\nBut EOS also has obscure areas:\n\n- the first main net version is in production since June 2018. Will it be reliable enough from the start?\n\n- There are a few technical limitations, for example, the computing power available that will evolve. Therefore we need an extensive study to see if a project is compatible with EOS.\n\nDo not forget that Flashmoni is amongst the first companies willing to go into prod quickly. So we will be pioneers, with all the risks that it entails.\n\nFor us, EOS makes sense especially if we need smart contracts.\n\nTwo more points to note: \n\n1) The biggest trading platform, Bitfinex, has just announced that they want to decentralize by putting the trading in the blockchain. They chose EOS. Bitfinex deals with trading volumes in the order of billions per day. The fact that a group that has very high security, speed and reliability requirements chose EOS suggests that the platform is ready for this type of project.\n\n2) Everydia, Wikipedia via blockchain, has chosen EOS as well. It is led by one of Wikipedia co-founders, Larry Sanger.\n\n3) Bancor, one of the top 5 ICOs in 2017 (they raised 150 million dollars in 3 hours) has just chosen to implement its solution in EOS as well.\n\nIn a world of blockchain that is very young and very hard to grasp, I think that EOS has some good assets for the next 2-3 years and that it can become the first smart contract platform to reach the scalability we need for a mass application.\n\nI foresee a massive migration of projects into EOS if they reach by June a version that is stable enough.\n\nPs: In Decembre 2017, EOS released its testnet version. Flashmoni’s team has been testing it and, so far, it holds up even if we haven’t explored everything and despite the fact that it remains in the testnet.",

I must say that when I read what they had written I seriously wondered if it was really necessary to pay $19K monthly for this kind of content. Would their articles help us raise funds? The answer is no, and in the end we raised the money thanks to our network and affiliation program. \n\nThere will always be people around you asking you to calm down and telling you to just pay to buy peace, simply because even if they are wrong we do not want to risk bad publicity. So first you kindly try to find a solution although just because you have raised millions doesn't mean that you should spend money for services you did not get. \n\nThe agreement was that part of the payment was to be made with our company's own cryptocurrency and the rest was supposed to be paid in BTC or ETH. The problem is that because of the volatility of these currencies, there might be a huge gap between how much you collect them and how much they are valued later, at the expense of the company, which means that you might want to wait a little bit longer until the cryptocurrency rises again. For example if you collect 4 BTC for 14K each, you do not want to pay your collaborators when they fall down to 6K, this would be a loss of 32K for the company and this would be completely unacceptable and even worst if the work is not done, add at this situation a down period on the crypto market and you will understand my position.\n\nAt this point even if you explain this and ask them to wait until the currency value rises you are in trouble because these companies are in such a bad situation financially that blockchain compagnies running ICO such ours are like a lottery ticket for them. \n\nI am not going to let my company get rinsed, nor blackmailed, nothing will change my mind, even articles based on words of employees who were fired or who ended their contract for good reason.\n\nWe are not fools. Funds have been collected for a purpose. Our company should use them wisely and not waste them every time a PR service provider company tries to be paid for a job they have never done. They will argue that it is our company's fault because we did not solicit them and give them direction. Let me tell you this, what kind of company needs so much guidance and help with their work? Are they not supposed to be professionals, do they not know how to implement a PR strategy? Morevover articles they wrote are just edit of what we send them!\n\nSo I will end this opening letter here. Our company will not pay or buy silence, because almost nothing has been done and the work that they had been hired to do has certainly not been completed, and by contacting my business partners or publishing lies will not change anything. I would rather pay a law firm to prove that we are right, to demonstrate the lack of efficiency of some dishonest companies, how misleading they have been and to sue them for trying to blackmail and difame us. \n\nThey will ask questions such as 'where is the money, where is the gold, how come some employees are not getting paid' and so on.\n\nWe will respond to that by delivering our solution and by simply auditing the asset that backs our token. \n\nWe will not play with them, we are right in the post ICO period and we are very busy. \n\nI keep thinking of how much they could have achieved if they had spent as much energy when they were supposed to be be working for us... \n\nLet's keep in mind that the reputation of a company is built when the audited accounts are published at the end of the financial year, only the facts will matter! \n\nTo Conclude they will try to take advantage of your success (look at my LinkedIn profile) and pretend like they are the key to it. Some companies that look really good at first can turn into evil monsters if they do not get what they want. I guess that this is a basic issue that can easily be handle in Court! \n\n\n\nEvery Post ICO companies know what i am writing here ! Serious company who did their job have been paid ! others willing to \"milk\" us suddenly after heard about our success can directly contact our lawyer or come visit us at our head office we are not hiding and we are based in one of the most beautiful town in Europe , LISBON.",

      "body": "Over the last several years, I’ve traveled to so many truly wealthy countries, rich not only because of their natural resources, precious metals, oil, gas etc., but above and beyond this material wealth, by their depth of imagination and their industrious spirit. This has been and continues to be my greatest inspiration for positive change in the world today. I believe blockchain technology has the power to facilitate a great and necessary paradigm shift.\n\nDuring my travels, I saw in both Africa and South America, ingenious people using every method they could to repair and extend the utility of simple appliances we in the occidental world usually use only a few months or years. I felt truly humbled and even a bit overwhelmed by their determination, creativity and adaptability. I also felt saddened.\n\nThey reminded me of my own past as a child, in Africa. I had so little, yet I only remember how happy I was with what I had. Since I had no toys, I was obliged to be creative by building cars with some iron wire I’d found. For the wheels, I used a pair of old sandals. This was the way I entertained myself and my friends with next to nothing.    \n\nI grew up in The Democratic Republic of the Congo or simply the “DRC” (formerly known as Zaire), one of the richest countries in the world, yet I remember times of extreme hardship. I remember certain periods in my life when my family and I could only afford to eat a meal once every three days. Other privileges we here in the West often take for granted like adequate medical care and even basic education became a luxury for many of us in the DRC then. When the land was - and still is - so rich with resources, why was there so much poverty among so much of the general population there? The answer lies in the outdated process by which wealth is transferred and the reasons why.\n\nIn less that two decades Africa will be the first continent in terms of population, with more than 2 billion people. Currently with a population of over 77 million people, the DRC is the fourth most populous country in Africa. As Africa is considered by many to be the birthplace of mankind, in a way, all humankind is African and will soon be more so than ever. This is a population in dire need of a democratization of opportunity, in a continent rich in natural resources.\n\nOver the last four years particularly African countries, I have seen signs that cannot be ignored. Hope, openness to innovation, a yearning for new growth and education about new technology and methods... and so many challenges that accompany these are creating an exciting and potentially revolutionary new era for the people of Africa. I quickly realized the necessity for us to bring a new kind of honest, dependable, robust and sustainable industry, supported by the people themselves, to encourage independence and a true sense of self-worth. This kind of new, transparent, distributed and democratized model of industry and creation of wealth for the people is now truly possible through blockchain technology. I saw the potential for the acceleration of progress through decentralized technology, and what it can bring to all populations living in what we used to call the “Third World.”\n\n\n\nAs CEO of a Fintech 3.0 company, I see firsthand how we can use this technology, allowing us to minimize cost, eliminating the necessity for middlemen in many procedures through the use of smart contracts on a blockchain ecosystem. Through this new tool we are able to more accurately calibrate offers to meet demand and in a secure and transparent way, as transactions on a blockchain are immutable and can be made transparent to all parties. These innovations in transactions and trade via blockchain will be especially valuable to low income countries, such as the general population of the DRC.\n\nAt Flashmoni, we have established an asset backed cryptocurrency company, using natural resources. I have now reached an important decision about how this technology will best function to bring fairness and opportunity, especially to the people of these impoverished nations in Africa like the DRC. We are committed toward maintaining assets backing our cryptocurrency securely in each country of origin with clear and accessible records available to all parties via the blockchain.\n\nCurrently the process by which resources such as gold can be bought and stored from a country such as the DRC is complex, time-consuming and needlessly expensive. It requires transporting the resource out of the DRC across many borders through other countries - at further cost and risk - to be finally purchased and held elsewhere. This laborious process is made necessary due to the major world banks that demand this. It has become counterproductive and ceases to benefit the actual country of origin, as so many fees, lost time and energy is spent in the process.\n\nThe most common response from these major banks for requiring this tedious process is the perceived instability of certain countries. There is a perception of corruption and a lack of trust that must be overcome. For instance, as more countries move toward a “cashless society” with the intention of avoiding corruption, digitalization through cryptocurrency can be utilized to great advantage. As an example, a policeman will think twice before asking for bribe if he knows the transaction can be easily tracked through a transparent blockchain ecosystem. This great shift in currency and accountability will create more honest and stable interactions and institutions, which in turn will build trust first among each small community, then each city and finally expanding to nations.  \n\nIn addition, through the use of blockchain technology, we will overcome the unnecessary intervention of world banking institutions and their well-known corruption, as middlemen. Distributed ledger and smart contract technology will ensure fair, swift and secure transactions and the verification of asset backed commodities such as gold, making obsolete the old world functions of these ruling institutions, whose current purpose is often only to pillage the wealth of nations through fees and inflation.\n\nBlockchain will also be utilized to trace the origin of assets backing our tokens. This will oblige all actors to be more cautious about their environmental and societal responsibilities and to act with integrity, as their actions will be evident on the blockchain to all parties.\n\nThrough the use of blockchain technology and smart contracts, my sincere hope and my dedicated commitment is for people of all nations to be empowered, to be able to access, take responsibility for and to trade freely the wealth of their land.
