What is it like on a day to day basis? What are the positives and negatives of making money this way? Let’s take a moment to answer those questions…\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Day-to-Day\n\nOne of the reasons that a lot of people want to become successful bloggers is because they think it’s a completely work-free, stress-free job. Of course this is not in fact the reality. While it’s true that running a blog is definitely much easier than working 9-5 in an office, you shouldn’t think that you can just relax all day if you’re a blogger.\n\n \n\n\n\nIf you want blogging to be your full time ‘career’ then you need to treat it as such and you need to work ‘full time’ on it.\n\nThat said, this is definitely a ‘leisurely’ full-time. You can probably get away with 5 hours a day with the TV on… But if you ignore your blog you’ll see your income wane.\n\nIn terms of stress?\n\n \n\n\n\nBlogging is a lot less stressful in many ways than having a boss breathing over your shoulder but it is still a little stressful. One of the sources of these stresses is simply the fact that you won’t want to lose your fortunate position. If you’re making a living from a blog, how do you ensure that you stay that way? What if you wake up one day and your AdSense account is revoked? What if Google has taken your site off of page one? These thoughts will haunt you… So be smart and make sure your business is resilient.\n\nFans\n\nSomething that is really pretty awesome about being a blogger is all the fans. People will e-mail you praising your work, asking for advice and generally treating you like a celebrity. It’s a massive ego boost. But then you’ll also get trolls, you’ll get people saying ‘hey I live down the road from you!’ (which is creepy) and you’ll have e-mails you can’t answer.\n\n \n\nIs running a blog full-time awesome? Absolutely. But it’s not without its challenges.       "body": "How to Write Content That People Will Want to Read!\n\nOne of the biggest secrets to success when it comes to blogging is knowing how to write content that people will want to read.\n\nNote that this isn’t really about the way your write. Or at least that’s only part of the puzzle.\n\nInstead, writing content that people will go out of their way to read is all about choosing exciting topics, giving them great titles and knowing what it is that makes people click.\n\nA good place to look for some answers is to ‘clickbait’. Clickbait is basically any content that is designed to encourage clicks, even if it isn’t entirely honest in how it goes about that. Normally clickbait titles are purposefully provocative or misleading and this gets people to click on them.\nFor instance, you’ll see things like ’10 Tips to Transform Your Body – Number 4 Changed My Life!’ or ‘You’ll Never Believe What Happens to This Woman in This Shocking Video!’. For most people the curiosity/promise of the title will elicit a click even if the content doesn’t live up to that promise.  Clickbait does work and it generates plenty of hits for your website. The problem is that it’s also misleading and as such, it can damage your branding.\n\nThe trick is to take what works about clickbait and to use it in a more honest manner.The Right Type of Title\n\nSo let us ask ourselves: what is it about clickbait that makes it so successful?\n\nThe answer is that it looks different, it looks interesting and it promises something unique/that you haven’t seen before. It would be fine, if the actual content weren’t so lacking.\n\nAnd clickbait is even more successful thanks to the sheer draught of interesting content on the web. How many fitness sites have you been to where all the articles are on ’10 ways to get abs’ or ‘how to eat clean to lose weight’. This content is so derivative, we’ve all read it a thousand times!\nThe key then is to create content that offers something genuinely interesting, that people haven’t seen a thousand times before and that sounds interesting.\n\nFor a fitness site, that could look like this:\n\n‘How my fitness addiction nearly ruined my relationship’\n\nCardio acceleration: a new type of cardio fitness that burns 300%+ more fat’\n\n‘Why bodybuilders are stronger than powerlifters’\nThese sorts of titles are engaging and unique but what’s more is that they’re also meaty and give you the opportunity to write some really great stuff.
